The online journal is one of the sources of information from various sources of information availability, available good from the hearts and abroad to get literature review. It is influenced by the development of technology and information wichis increasingly advanced so that information can be obtained easily.Along with advances in information technology (ICT), efforts in obtaining and providing information is not limited to the distance, space, and time. The use of the online journal by researchers and extension workers are rarely used. The use of the online journal by researchersand extension workers are rarely used. Effort to examine the use of online journals was conducted to determine show far the use of the online journal by researchers, extension workers, and other library user in IAIT Yogyakarta. The studies was conducted in September 2015 and arranged in randomized design with 30 respondents. The result of this studies showed that (1) frequency of using journal online are more dominant in one to two times a week wich is done by 22 library user (73,34%), (2) the length of time utilization for accessing online journals most are one to two hours wich is done by 13 library user (43,34%), (3) the level of ability of library user wich using Boolean operator AND, OR, NOT evidently 11 library user does not understand (36,67%), (4) the action to download from the search result conducted by is library user (50%), (5) The access point information in the most preferred search by keyword is done by 21 library user (70%), (6) the purpose of utilizing the online journal access research were 12 library user (40%), (7) completeness of information required by library user perceived by 23 library user (76,66%), (8) accesing online journal wich are mostly done at the work space is as much as 20 library user (66,67%), (9) the domestic online journals are more affractive was choosen by 17 library user (56,66%).

Keywords: benefit of journal, journal online, library user

The aim of this article is to investigate student interest in accessing online platform of academic journals in the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication, UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Yogyakarta. This research applied survey method with quantitative technique to analyse collected data. The results show that all variables tested by conclusions are accepted. This means, after processing the data from the results of questionnaires, it can be seen that the data tested with simple linear regression methods have a positive value so it shows that students’ interest in accessing online journal has an effect on improving quality of their articles. Meanwhile, student interest in accessing online journal survey was still minimal, with 42.2% answered that they do not know the existence of the academic journals. However, 98% of students answered that the internet is a primary need. Unfortunately, the internet, as a tool to access online journals, is mostly used to find entertainment contents with a percentage of 56%. This value is obtained from the average access to the internet; 38% in between 1-3 hours, 30.4% in between 4-6 hours, 22.8% in between 7-10 hours, 4.8% in between 11-13%, ad 4% in > 14 hours. Keywords: Online academic journals, student interest, and survey.

Journal as a medium to explain the results of research. It has developed in such a way especially because of the rapid support of information and communication technology today. Various models of online-based journaling management can be easily operated by journals managers as well as writers / researchers who will include research results in the journal. It's just that with the number of journals that exist today, causing difficulties for the manager of journals to be able to promote the journals he managed, in addition to the manager of the journal sometimes difficult to get a researcher who would put his paper into the journal he manages. Meanwhile, with the number of journals that have been online, researchers will find it difficult to get information from the journals. Researchers should open their journal entries, read their profiles and publications, until they are interested to include papers in the journal. This problem is the background of the development of online journals aggregator system, which with this system will facilitate the meeting between journals, journal managers and writers or researchers. In order to develop an online journal aggregator system, a software development method is needed that directly captures the needs of its users. User Centered Design (UCD) is a philosophy in software design that puts users as the center of system development. The UCD approach has been supported by various techniques, methods, tools, procedures, and processes that help design a more user-centered interactive system. With UCD it is expected that the online journals aggregator system can produce a design that will make it easier for its users, both in terms of functionality and from the side of the system interface.

Keywords

Antraknosa; Cabai merah; C. aeruginosa; Senyawa nonvolatil

Abstract

Anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum capsici is still as major disease against chilli pepper fruit. During this time, utilization of C. aeruginosa as pathogen antimicrobial caused disease to human is more popular than to crops. Curcuma has been known containing volatile and nonvolatile compound. Potential of volatil compound from Curcuma as antipathogen has been reported widely, nevertheless it is still limited known for nonvolatile compound. This research aimed to understand the antifungi effectivity of nonvolatile compound from C. aeruginosa extract to C. capsici on chilli pepper fruit. Research was conducted in November 2014 to Mei 2015. Nonvolatile compound was obtained by soaking C. aeruginosa rhizome into methanol solvent then distilated using rotary vacuum evaporator and identified with HPLC instrument. Antifungi effectivity of nonvolatile compound from C. aeruginosa extract was experimented by in vitro and in vivo test using Completely Randomized Design with three replications. Treatments tested were various concentrations of nonvolatile compound namely 0 (control), 4, 6, 8,10, and 12 ppm. Nonvolatile compound from C. aeruginosa extract was highly effective to inhibit growth of C. capsici by both in vitro and in vivo test. HPLC identification result showed nonvolatile compound from C. aeruginosa extract contains Curcuminoid group play role as antifungi.

The most rapidly changing pervasive and publicized aspects of library and information studies are e-resources. In a relatively short period of the time, e-resources have expanded drastically from the few dozen computerized bibliography databases to the overwhelming amount of information available today. Electronic resources have grown to include online library catalogues, lists of CD-ROMs, online journals, databases, newspapers, reference materials, open access journals, e-books, major publishers, and online bookshops. There is a pressing need for guidance regarding the use of such resources. The findings of this study conclude that the age-wise respondents have many problems accessing e-resources including computer viruses, having difficulty using digital resources due to lack of IT knowledge, and their limited access to computers.
