Gastritis is the top most common cause of morbidity. This study is designed to find out knowledge regarding gastritis among late adolescence. A descriptive research design was used for the study. A semi-structured self-administered questionnaire was used to collect the data. Data were analysed and the descriptive and inferential test was applied by using SPSS. The study finding revealed eighty percent of the participants knew the definition of gastritis,66% on risk factors, 50% respondents on causes, 23.7% on sign and symptom,56.66% on management and 48.5% respondents on complications, and 66.55% on prevention of gastritis. The level of knowledge is average in causes, signs and symptoms, management and complications. More specifically,68% of respondents had average knowledge on gastritis and 4% had excellent knowledge. The level of knowledge of respondents is statistically significant with sex (p=0.021) and socio-economic status (p=0.008). The finding of the study revealed that knowledge on gastritis is average among the respondents. So the health education is needed for students to increase their knowledge.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected higher education institutions (HEIs) worldwide and reshaped the existing educational system. Due to travel constraints and physical separation, there has been a global shift toward distance learning, and Nepal is no exception. This research intends to assess the practicality of online education by evaluating learners' experiences amidst COVID-19. A cross-sectional study was directed among HEIs students in Nepal using self-structured questionnaires. Our study revealed that 64.6% of the respondents were unsatisfied with online classes. More than half of the respondents (53.4%) use cell phones for online studies. Online education was reported to be unappealing to 28.8% of respondents. Variables such as age group (p = 0.05), enjoying class (p < 0.001), hours spent for an online class in a day (p = 0.05), and period for educational work using an electronic device (p = 0.1) were found significant with satisfaction level using both bivariate test and inferential test of univariate binary logistics regression. The challenges and opportunities encountered among students and faculties are highlighted along with the recommendations for fortifying communication in online-based teaching/learning.

This study aimed to determined the influence of problem based learning model with mind mapping techniques toward the biology learning outcomes. This study was a pre- experimental reasearch with one group pretest - posttest design. The sample of study consisted of one class is a class XI IPA9 SMAN 1 Sungguminasa as 50 students. Sample was take with a random sampling technique. The research instrument is learning outcome test in biological material (excretory system) with multiple choice shaped. Data were analyzed by employing inferential test (paired samples). The result of inferential analysis indicated that tcount 46.682>ttable 1.68, H0 was rejected, meaning that there was influence of problem based learning model by employing mind mapping technique toward students’ learning result.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of contextualization in teaching Philippine short stories in English to students’ reading comprehension and the relationship between students’ reading interest and their comprehension levels. Approach/Methodology/Design: The study is experimental in design. It employed the Z-test and utilized a structured survey questionnaire in collecting the data. Seventy-two (72) Grade 7 students of Lila National High School in the school year 2018-2019 had the Frustration level of reading comprehension based on the Phil-IRI results conducted before the experimentation took place. Contextualized teaching instruction and learning activities were utilized by the experimental group during the discussion of the three Philippine short stories in English. Findings: The study revealed that (a) both the experimental and control groups had the average interest level towards Philippine short stories in English, (b) in the Phil- IRI comprehension result, both the experimental and control groups’ level of comprehension is in the frustration level in three comprehension test categories namely literal, inferential, and evaluative/critical, (c) in the formative comprehension test results, the experimental group’s comprehension level increased to instructional level where in the literal and inferential test levels, the group is classified under independent level and instructional level in evaluative/critical. On the other hand, the control group’s comprehension level fell under instructional in the literal and inferential test levels and remained frustration under evaluative/critical. Practical Implications: The study has practical implications for literature teachers. The findings will assist the literature teachers especially those who are handling Philippine Literature subjects. In addition, an Action Program is proposed to improve reading comprehension in Lila National High School, Philippines. Originality/value: The study is different from existing researches since it focused on the contextualization in teaching Philippine literary pieces, particularly short stories to increase students’ interest in learning and improve comprehension.

Student science process skills are very important to support student learning. In this study aims to provide information about the effect of science process skills in learning on student learning outcomes. It the study was conducted at Senior High School 1 Toboali using Pre-Experimental Designs with Intact-Group Comparision designs. This study uses material taught in school, namely the topic of effort and energy. The data collection technique using the instrument science process skills and achievement test by dividing the class into two: a control class and experimental class.  The data analyzed in descriptive and inferential (Test-T). It analyzes showed that the science process skills have some impact on learning outcomes at a significance level of 0.00 <0.05. Therefore, it is important for teachers to apply the science process skills approach to lengthen student activities during the learning process

Scientific literacy is very important to generation Z (Gen-Z), while Gen-z’s scientific literacy in Indonesia needs to be improved. The use of gadgets by Gen-Z almost all the time in their daily lives enables research to improve scientific literacy by using gadgets. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of gadget-based interactive multimedia to improve Gen-Z scientific literacy and describe the Gen-Z response to interactive multimedia. This research was a pre-experiment study with one group pretest and posttest design. Interactive multimedia was designed to be applied on gadget, consists of Socioscientific Issues (SSI) which was relevant to pressure concepts. This research involved two junior high schools in East Java, Indonesia. Scientific literacy test instrument was designed based on scientific literacy aspects of PISA 2015. The inferential test results showed that posttest score was significantly greater than the pretest in the two schools. Results showed that the mean score of students’ scientific literacy at School I increased from 39.6 to 74.0 and N-gain score was 0.57 which was in medium category. In addition, the average scientific literacy score of students in School II also increased from 31.5 to 59.9 and Ngain score was 0.41 which was in the medium category. The inferential test results also showed that there were no significant N-gain differences in the two schools. It can be concluded that interactive multimedia developed effective to improve students’ scientific literacy. However, Gen-Z students cannot be satisfied with the multimedia. Students suggest several multimedia enhancements in terms of visual, audio, and music, so that they can enjoy the multimedia all the time by using the device.
