AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh penggambaran mendalam mengenai aktualisasi diri pada tokoh utama dalam novel Pasung Jiwa karya Okky Madasari. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi dengan pendekatan struktural dan psikoanalisis sastra. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi pustaka, observasi tentang aktualisasi diri dalam novel, dan dianalisis dengan memanfaatkan ulasan novel serta wawancara. Prosedur pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tujuh langkah, yaitu: (1) Membaca novel Pasung Jiwa. (2) Mencari fenomena menarik dalam isi cerita. (3) Menetapkan aktualisasi diri pada tokoh utama sebagai fokus penelitian. (4) Menetapkan novel Pasung Jiwa karya Okky Madasari sebagai sumber data penelitian. (5) Menetapkan analisis isi sebagai metode penelitian. (6) Menetapkan pendekatan struktural dan pendekatan psikoanalisis sastra sebagai pendekatan penelitian. (7) Melakukan studi pustaka, dan pengamatan aktualisasi diri pada tokoh utama. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Sasana (Sasa) dan Jaka Wani (Cak Jek) sebagai tokoh utama mengalami pergulatan batin dan perjuangan mencari kebebasan. Ketidakseimbangan struktur kepribadian id, ego, dan superego tokoh utama mengarahkan pada kebutuhan aktualisasi diri. Terpenuhinya aktualisasi diri pada tokoh utama karena adanya keinginan dan potensi menjadi pribadi kreatif dan bebas. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan keenam kebutuhan yang memotivasi tokoh utama, yaitu kebutuhan fisiologis, kebutuhan akan keamanan, kebutuhan akan rasa cinta dan memiliki-dimiliki, kebutuhan akan penghargaan, kebutuhan aktualisasi diri, dan kebutuhan transendental diri. Di samping kebutuhan aktualisasi diri, ditemukan dua jenis hambatan, yaitu dari diri sendiri dan dari lingkungan. Selain itu, ditemukan pula lima belas karakteristik aktualisasi diri. Temuan penelitian direkomendasikan kepada pengajar sastra, pembaca dan pembelajar sastra, peneliti sastra, dan orang tua.Kata kunci: Novel, Tokoh Utama, Aktualisasi diri, dan Psikoanalisis. (6) Establishing astructural approach and a literary psychoanalytic approach as a research approach.(7) conducting literature study, and self-actualization observation on the maincharacter. The results of this research indicates that Sasana (Sasa) and Jaka Wani(Cak Jek) as the main character who experienced inner struggle and struggle forfreedom. Imbalance of personality structure id, ego, and superego main characterleads to the needs of self-actualization. Fulfillment of self-actualization of the maincharacter because of the desire and potential to be creative and free person. In thisresearch found six needs that motivate the main character, the physiological needs, theneed for security, the need for a sense of love and have-owned, the need forappreciation, needs self-actualization, and transcendence needs. In addition to theneeds of self-actualization, found two types of barriers, namely from self and from theenvironment. In addition, there were also fifteen characteristics of self-actualization.Research findings are recommended to literature teachers, literary readers andlearners, literary researchers, and parents.Keywords: novel, main figure, the needs of self-actualization, and psychoanalysis

This research aimed to obtain a deep depiction of personality type on the main character in the film series: Nobuta wo Produce by Izumi Kizara.  Film series Nobuta wo Produce is a television drama series adapted from novel with the same title by Gen Shiraiwa. This research was conducted using content analysis method. This research data was analyzed through psychoanalytic by Carl Gustav Jung approach. The data were collected through documents, and data observations about the main character personality in film series: Nobuta wo Produce by Izumi Kizara. The result showed that Kiritani Shuuji as the main character of film series: Nobuta wo Produce by Izumi Kizara has two tendencies of the dominant personality type, thinking introvert type and feeling ekstravert type. The result lead to recommendation to Japanese literature educator, literature researcher, film review, and parents.

Colonial Era Education in Siedjah Novel Written by Nico Vink (Literarure Sociology Study) ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan potret pendidikan, fakta sejarah, latar belakang sosial budaya masyarakat, dan nilai-nilai pendidikan yang terkandung dalam novel Siedjah karya Nico Vink. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode content analysis atau analisis isi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Metode ini menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa data tertulis maupun lisan tentang nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam unsur sosiologi. Metode ini digunakan untuk menelaah isi dari suatu dokumen. Dokumen dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Siedjah karya Nico Vink. Dalam hal ini peneliti mendeskripsikan data yang berkaitan dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam lingkup sosiologi sastra. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini meliputi nilai-nilai pendidikan pada era kolonialisme yang berangkat dari fakta sejarah yang diceritakan ulang oleh tokoh utama Siedjah. Tokoh utama memandang sistem kolonialisme merupakan sistem terpadu yang dilakukan untuk kepentingan tertentu demi menaikkan citra sosial yaitu sebagai kaum pendidik.Kata kunci: Siedjah, Nico Vink, nilai pendidikan, sosiologi sastra, kolonialismeABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the portrait of education, historical facts, the socio-cultural background of the community, and the educational values contained in the novel Siedjah written by Nico Vink. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using content analysis method. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. This method produces descriptive data in the form of written and oral data about the values of education in sociological elements. This method is used to examine the contents of document. The document in this research is the novel Siedjah by Nico Vink. In this case, the researcher describes the data related to the values of education in the sociology of literature. The findings in this study include the values of education in the colonialism era, which begin from historical facts that are retold by the main character Siedjah. Starting from the phenomenon of Indigo children who seize the attention of the people in several countries, including in Indonesia, the uniqueness of Indigo children becomes distinctive for Indigo children compared with other children in general. The uniqueness of Indigo children can be described by authors in literary works, such as novels. In addition, the uniqueness of Indigo children revealed in a novel can be used as a renewal in teaching novels reviewed using the literary psychology approach. The study of psychology in literature is an important thing to do with the aim of developing a way of teaching literature. However, the study of psychology in literature is still very less. In addition, research on Indigo children in literary works has never been done. In dealing with this problem, qualitative research using content analysis method with a literary structural approach and literary psychology of novel entitled “Gerbang Dialog Danur” written by Risa Saraswati was conducted. The result of the research is the phenomenon of Indigo children described by the main character, that is Aku (Risa). In addition, this study also produced findings, namely the types of Indigo children and how to deal with them suggested in the novel. The results of this study conclude that Indonesian literary teachers, literary researchers, novel readers, parents, and the general public can use the novel Gerbang Dialog Danur by Risa Saraswati in the process of teaching literature, especially in the study of psychology.

AbstrackThis research aims to self-actualization of depictions of the main characters of the Novel Hujan work of Tere Liye and structure of which is contained in the novel. This research is qualitative research using the method of content analysis. The approach used ini this study is the structural approach and psychology Abraham Maslow. In this study, there are four ways of engineering data collection performed by the researchers, namely: (a) read and understand the contents of the novel’s story in depth. (b) the identification of each of the novel’s structure, namely: tokoh, characters, setting, and theme. (c) conduct a classification with classified the quotations form phrases, clauses, sentences, or paragraphs containing the existence of self-actualization character and basic necessities to achieve self-actualization. (d) hold a study library to get secondary data as supplementary data about self-actulization of the main character. In qualitative researches apply as key research instruments. The results of this study indicate that there are six basic needs based on Maslow’s hierarchy. Six basic needs are contained in the main character of the novel Hujan by Tere Liye. The main character can actualize himself although only a few basic needs that have been fulfilled in the character, meaning that six basic needs are not all owened by characters. Although they only meet some of the needs of the six basic needs, they can actualize themselves.Keywords: self-actualization, the Novel, the main charcter, and the psychology of Abraham Maslow

The research aims to uncover the symbols in the novel The Alchemist and to gain knowledge about the moral teachings in the symbol. This research is descriptive qualitative approach. Data sources in this study are words, phrases or sentences in the novel Alchemist. Data collection method is a literature study method with note taking technique. Data were analyzed using description and content analysis methods. The results showed that the novel The Alchemist contained many symbols. These symbols include: (1) wise parents, who symbolize both negative and positive things. From his appearance, parents can symbolize something bad, but behind his old age he symbolizes a knowledge that is very much and wise; (2) stones that symbolize something hard, not easily broken, and can provide clues to something; and (3) deserts or deserts which can be interpreted as symbols of drought, aridity, unattractiveness, emptiness, despair, determination for ignorance, and also as symbols of devotion.

Penelitian ini bertujuan membahas hubungan intertekstual novel Candra Kirana karya Ajip Rosidi dengan "Tjerita Panji Angreni". Unsur apa saja dan bagaimana novel Candra Kirana memiliki hubungan intertekstual dengan "Tjerita Panji Angreni' sebagai teks hipogramnya adalah pertanyaan penelitian ini. Dalam menelaah hubungan intertekstual ini, penulis menggunakan teori intertekstual Michael Riffaterre yang menitikberatkan pada analisis isi dengan metode pembacaan heuristik dan hermeneutik. Temuan penelitian ini adalah bahwa novel Candra Kirana menunjukkan hubungan intertekstual dengan Tjerita Panji Angreni melalui unsur tema, citra tokoh, dan alur cerita. Meskipun demikian, novel Candra Kirana juga mentransformasikan makna-makna progresif yang berbeda dengan "Tjerita Panji Angreni", seperti makna nasionalisme yang berupa cinta akan kerajaan, makna kesetaraan gender yang berupa kesetiaan laki-laki, keberanian, kekuatan, perjuangan dan ketidakpasrahan perempuan, makna kerakyatan dengan pelibatan tokoh utama dari kalangan rakyat dan makna religiusitas yang berbentuk dasar niat Panji dalam mencari pasangan hidup.[Intertextuality on Novel Candra Kirana and "Tjerita Panji Angreni": Riffaterres Perspective] This research aims to discuss the intertextuality of Candra Kirana novel by Ajip Rosidi with "Tjerita Panji Angreni". What elements and to what extend Candra Kirana novel has an intertextual relationship with Tjerita Panji Angreni as the hipogram text were the questions of this research. In examining this intertextual relationship, the writer used Michael Riffaterre's intertextual theory which focused on content analysis with heuristic and hermeneutic readings. The findings of this study were that the novel Candra Kirana showed intertextuality with the "Tjerita Panji Angreni" through elements of themes, character images, and story lines. Even so, Candra Kirana's novel also transformed progressive meanings that differ from the Tjerita Panji Angreni such as the meaning of nationalism in the form of love for the kingdom, the meaning of gender equality in the form of male loyalty, courage, strength, struggle and women's insecurity, the meaning of populist with engagement the main character of the people and the meaning of religiosity in the form of Panji's intention in finding a life partner.Keywords: intertextuality; novel; "Tjerita Panji Angreni"

<p><em>This study aims to describe the intertextuality relationship between the novel Pasung Jiwa by Okky Madasari and Calabai by Pepi Al-Bayqunie. The type of research is descriptive qualitative approach using content analysis. Data are collected by inventorying events that are similarities and differences, specifications on the characters, settings, plots, and themes of both text. The research results indicate that there are similar themes on the two novels, the theme of self actualization in addition with the theme of family and friendship. The same characterization are also used by both author, masculine figures with feminine soul characters. The difference between the two novels lies on the plot and setting. Pasung Jiwa uses progressive plot and Calabai uses a flash-back plot.. Okky Madasari takes Java Island as the background in the novel Pasung Jiwa, while the novel Calabai, Pepi Al-Bayqunie using the setting of Sulawesi Island. The basis of the similarity of theme and characterization supported by the similirity of events in the story shows the existence of intertextual relationship between the two novels. As a previously published work, the novel Pasung Jiwa by Okky Madasari is a hipogram and novel Calabai by Pepi A-Bayqunie as a transformational text. On the theme and characterization, the transformation of Calabai forward the hypogram, while in the plot and setting deviates his hypogram, Pasung Jiwa.</em></p><p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan intertekstualitas antara novel Pasung Jiwa karya Okky Madasari dan novel Calabai karya Pepi Al-Bayqunie. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan konten analisis. Data dikumpulkan dengan menginventariskan peristiwa yang merupakan persamaan dan perbedaan, spesifikasi pada tokoh, latar, alur, dan tema dari kedua teks. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kesamaan tema pada kedua novel, yaitu tema aktualisasi diri, ditambah dengan tema keluarga dan persahabatan. Penokohan yang sama juga digunakan oleh kedua penulis, yaitu tokoh maskulin dengan karakter jiwa feminin. Perbedaan kedua novel terletak pada alur dan latar. Pasung Jiwa menggunakan alur maju dan Calabai menggunakan alur campuran. Latar dalam novel Pasung Jiwa, Okky Madasari mengambil latar Pulau Jawa, sedangkan novel Calabai, Pepi Al-Bayqunie menggunakan latar Pulau Sulawesi. Dasar kesamaan tema dan penokohan didukung kesamaan peristiwa-peristiwa dalam cerita menunjukkan adanya hubungan intertekstual antara kedua novel. Sebagai karya yang terbit terlebih dahulu menjadikan novel Pasung Jiwa karya Okky Madasari adalah hipogram dan novel Calabai karya Pepi Al-Bayqunie sebagai teks transformasi. Pada tema dan penokohan, transformasi Calabai meneruskan hipogram, sedangkan pada alur dan latar menyimpangi hipogramnya, Pasung Jiwa.</p>

This research aims at analysing the interactive education concept in Qur’an wich examines specifically surah al-Baqarah (2) verse 133 and surah al-Saffat (37) verse 102. This research applied both qualitative research approach and are uses type of research literature (Library Research). The technique of data collection carried out in this Reseach was decomentation techniques. Furthermore, the collected data was analysed by using the content Analysis Method. The finding shows that educative interaction in the koran has purposes of promoting a generation of monotheism (Tauhid) to Allah, diligent in worship, and noble character. The achievement is significantly influenced by the personality influenced by the personality of an educator who is patient, caring, and knows the students’ psychology. Moreover, an educative interaction within Qur’an to correspond between values, knowledge and behavior wich lead the learners to be great figures, being able to build a mindset namely scientific thought and noble character.

This research was conducted with the aim of describing the main character's personality in the novel "Genduk" by Sundari Mardjuki (Literature Psychology Study) by using Abraham Maslow's perspective. The data in this study are derived from the novel Genduk by Sundari Mardjuki, Cetakan November 2017, the publisher of PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama, with a total of 232 pages. Data is collected by library method, see, record, and documentation. The findings of the study show that all the needs theory proposed by Abraham Maslow has been obtained by the main character. The five needs raised include physiological needs or basic needs, the need for security, needs to be owned and loved, the need for self-esteem, and the need for self-actualization. The results showed that the fulfillment of these five needs in the main character found a good personality development from the main characters, including sociability, compassion, helping, not being easily offended, never giving up in achieving desires, and wise in responding to conflicts or problems.

This research was motivated by the problem of being able to find the values of character education in the novel Gunung Ungaran by Nh. Dini. The purpose of this study is to describe the values of character education in the novel Gunung Ungaran by Nh. Dini. This research is a qualitative research using content analysis method. The object of this research is the novel Gunung Ungaran by Nh. Dini. The data in this study are words, phrases, sentences and discourses which are the values of character education. The data source in this research is the novel Gunung Ungaran by Nh. Dini. The data techniques used are reading novels, marking data related to the value of character education, recording data, making inventory, and classifying. The results of this study indicate that there are ten values of character education found in the novel Gunung Ungaran. In addition to the value of character education, other character education values are also found, such as: 1) religious, 2) Tolerance, 3) Work hard, 4) Independent, 5) Curiosity, 6) Love the homeland, 7) Friendly/communicative, 8) Caring for the environment, 9) Social care, 10) Responsibility.Keywords: Education, Character, Novel.
