This research was intended to find out what and how the independent learning competency of the students of State University of Jakarta. Data were collected by using questionnaires. The scope of study was limited to the students of School of Education, State University of Jakarta. Samples were chosen by using purposive sampling technique. Research findings show that: (1) based on independent learning method, all students of State University of Jakarta can implement independent learning, (2) based on the goals of independent learning the students are expected to have responsibility to themselves and the implementation of independent learning. Further, this research gives some suggestions such as: (1) university, especially School of Education should provide infrastructure, trainings, and compatible components; (2) the lectures should have appropriate knowledge and concept in independent learning; and (3) the students should practice constructivism and active learning as well as to learn without depending on other people.

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the perception of 2017 Geography Education Department students of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Medan State University, on the implementation of online-based examinations in the Statistics course. This research is a descriptive study, with the population being all students of the 2017 Geography Education Department, Medan State University. Sampling in this study used a purposive sampling technique, where the sample in this study were all C class students of the 2017 Geography Education Department, Faculty of Social Sciences, Medan State University, totaling 26 students. Data collection techniques through the distribution of questionnaires (questionnaires) to respondents, then the data were analyzed through several stages, namely editing, coding, scoring, and measuring perceptions with the interval scale method, the mean value, mean, median, mode, and standard deviation. The results of this study are to show that the perception of Class C students of the Department of Geography Education on the implementation of online-based exams in the Statistics subject is good or has a positive value.Keywords: Perception, online exams, and statistics  AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Geografi Angkatan 2017 Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Medan terhadap pelaksanaan ujian berbasis online pada mata kuliah Statistik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif, dengan populasi adalah seluruh mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Geografi Angkatan 2017 Universitas Negeri Medan. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dimana sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa kelas C Jurusan Pendidikan Geografi Angkatan 2017 Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Medan sebanyak 26 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan melalui penyebaran kuesioner (angket) kepada responden, kemudian data dianalisis melalui beberapa tahap yaitu editing, coding, scoring, dan pengukuran persepsi dengan metode skala interval, nilai rata-rata (mean), median, modus, dan standar deviasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah menunjukkan bahwasanya persepsi mahasiswa kelas C Jurusan Pendidikan Geografi terhadap pelaksanaan ujian berbasis online pada mata kuliah Statistik adalah baik atau bernilai positif.Kata Kunci: Persepsi, ujian online, dan statistik

The purpose of this research is to describe how the lectures of the School of Education in State University of Jakarta use internet as a learning resource. The population covered all lecturers of the School of Education and respondents were selective by proporsional random sampling technique. The data were collected by using questioner and interviewing. The result of the research shows that most of the lecturers have utilized internet for their own interest but not for instructional purposes in the classroom. Very few of the respondents indicate that they are not familiar with internet. The problems in using internet as a learning resource include the limited knowledge of the lecturers in using internet for instructional purposes and limited facility available in the School of Education. This research suggests the School of Education encourages all the lecturers to take benefit of internet as learning resources in each course and it is an urgent need to provide enough facility to access internet for all of lectures.

This research aimed at discovering the staff’s lecturing styles at The Early Childhood Education Program, The School of Education, The State University of Jakarta based on four types: formal authority, personal model or demonstrator, fasilitator, dan delegator. The research conducted in September2011 through January 2012, employed descriptive qualitative method with the researcher acting as the instrument. Data were collected by observation, interview, and document study techniques to be validated in triangulation and member check. Data analysis used the procedures of data reduction, data display, and verification/conclusion. The findings indicate that the staff tend to practise facilitator lecturing style oriented on the students and the staff initate various activities involving the students to improve and develop their competence. Based on the research findings, the staff are recommended to improve their professional competence properly.

Abstract. This study aims to analyze the types of error and its factors that cause students’ error in solving operation research problems in the program linear topic based on Newman’s Error Analysis (NEA). This research is qualitative research by using a descriptive approach. The subjects in this study are fourth-grade college students in the Mathematics Education Program at State Islamic Institute of Kerinci that chosen by purposive sampling technique. The data was collected by using a test and interview. The data analysis was done descriptively. Based on the research findings, the types of students error in solving operation research problems were reading errors, comprehension errors, transformation errors, process skill errors, and encoding errors. The factors that cause the students' error were the students can not interpret, understand and understand the meaning of the questions overall; can not determine the formula to solve the problems; can not carry out the algorithm of arithmetic operations.   Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis jenis kesalahan dan faktor yang menyebabkan kesalahan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal riset operasi pada materi program linier berdasarkan Newman’s Error Analysis (NEA). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester IV program studi Tadris Matematika IAIN Kerinci tahun akademik 2018/2019 yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes dan wawancara dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian diketahui bahwa jenis kesalahan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaiakan soal riset operasi materi program linier berdasarkan Newman’s Error Analysis adalah kesalahan dalam membaca soal, kesalahan dalam memahami masalah, kesalahan dalam transformasi, kesalahan dalam keterampilan proses, dan kesalahan dalam penulisan jawaban akhir. Faktor-faktor penyebab kesalahan tersebut meliputi: mahasiswa tidak bisa memaknai, mengerti dan memahami makna keseluruhan dari soal yang berikan; tidak bisa menentukan rumus yang digunakan; dan tidak bisa menajalankan tahapan-tahapan operasi hitung yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan soal.

This research aimed to provide an innovative chemistry learning material with guided tasks to improve students’ competence in Chemistry. It involved 180 students enrolled in the Analytical Chemistry course at State University of Medan in academic year of 2016/2017. The samples were purposively selected and divided into two groups. The research consisted of several steps including enrichment, innovation and standardization of learning material, followed by implementation of the developed learning material in class. A set of good quality learning material equipped with the guided task for Gravimetry topic has been provided. It contained relevant contextual examples, laboratory works, students’ activities, multimedia, and hyperlink to trustworthy websites. Implementation of innovative learning material has been conducted by using a set of developed learning material in the experimental class while the existing textbook was used in the control class. The research findings highlighted several points: (1) well-implemented innovative learning material was effective to improve the students’ competence; (2) learning outcome in experimental class was found higher than that in control class; (3) the guided task in the learning package facilitated the students to learn the selected chemistry topic independently which in turn shifted student learning style from lecturer-oriented to student-oriented; (4) the guided task not only made the students be familiar with searching for scientific documents to complete the given tasks but also improved the students’ ability to write and organize their assignments; (5) students’ academic attitudes, observed during the learning activities, were categorized as very good. Learning motivation has an important role in student learning process. The objectives of this research are to describe students career planning, to describe student attribution, to describe students learning motivation, to examine the correlation between career planning and students learning motivation, to examine the correlation between attribution and students learning motivation, and to examine the correlation between career planning and students learning motivation. The research uses correlational descriptive type of quantitative method. The population of research are 435 students of Curriculum and Education Technology Major in State University of Padang. A sample of 208 students was chosen by proportional random sampling technique. The instruments used were career planning, attribution, and students learning motivation. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, linear regression and multiple regression. The research findings show that 1) in general students already have a good career planning 2) student attribution is in the middle category 3) student learning motivation is in high category 4) there is a positive significant correlation between career planning and student learning motivation 5) there is a positive significant correlation between attribution and learning motivation 6) there is a positive significant correlation between career planning and attribution with student learning motivation, and (7) the implication of this research findings can be used as a feedback for making a program of guidance and counseling service which can improve career planning, attribution, and students learning motivation.

Abstract: The Effectiveness of Learning Sequences in Swimming Skills. This study aims to investigate the appropriateness and effectiveness of learning sequences in swimming skills after the students mastered the crawl stroke. The sequences were that from the crawl stroke to the breast stroke and that from the crawl stroke to the back stroke. This study was a quasi-experimental study using the pretest-posttest group design. The population comprised students of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Yogyakarta State University. The sample was selected using the purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the sequence from the crawl stroke to the back stroke was more efficient than that from the crawl stroke to the breast stroke in terms of the mastery of swimming skills. Abstract This research was conducted to determine the partial or simultaneous influence of entrepreneurship motivation, entrepreneurship learning and the using of social media on entrepreneurship interest of Economics Education departement students class of 2017, State University of Malang. The research method in this research is quantitative with the type of explanatory research. The population in this study were undergraduate students of Economics Education class of 2017 State University of Malang, with a total sample of 100 students. The sampling technique used purposive sampling and primary data collection using a questionnaire. The analysis prerequisite tests in this study include normality, multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity. The data analysis technique in this study used multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results of the study show (1) partially there is an effect of entrepreneurship motivation on entrepreneurship interest, (2) partially there is an influence of entrepreneurship learning on entrepreneurship interest, (3) partially there is an effect of using social media on entrepreneurship interest, and (4) simultaneously there is an influence of entrepreneurship motivation, entrepreneurship learning and the using of social media on entrepreneurship interest. The conclusion of this study is that there is an influence of entrepreneurship motivation, entrepreneurship learning and the using of social media on entrepreneurship interest of Economics Education departement student at Malang State University class of 2017. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh parsial atau simultan dari motivasi kewirausahaan, pendidikan kewirausahaan dan penggunaan media sosial pada minat berwirausaha mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan ekonomi, Universitas Negeri Malang, tahun 2017. Penelitian ini merupakan penilitian kuantitatif dengan tipe penelitian eksplanatori. Sampel dari penelitian ini merupakan 100 mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan ekonomi, Universitas Negeri Malang, tahun 2017. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan data didapatkan melalui kuesioner. Tes statistic prasyarat pada penelitian ini meliputi tes normalitas, multikolinearitas, dan heteroskedastisitas. Teknik regresi linear berganda digunakan untuk proses analisa data. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa (1) adanya efek partial dari motivasi kewirausahaan pada minat berwirausaha, (2) adanya efek partial dari pendidikan kewirausahaan pada minat berwirausaha, (3) adanya efek partial dari penggunaan media sosial pada minat berwirausaha, dan (4) adanya efek simultan dari motivasi berwirausaha, pendidikan kewirausahaan, dan penggunaan media sosial pada minat berwirausaha. Sehingga, motivasi kewirausahaan, pendidikan kewirausahaan, dan penggunaan media sosial membawa pengaruh pada minat berwirausaha mahasiswa pendidikan ekonomi tahun 2017, Universitas Negeri Malang.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan penggunaan OVO pada mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta secara parsial maupun simultan. Faktor-faktor yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini yaitu gaya hidup, persepsi, kepercayaan, dan promosi. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian asosiatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh mahasiswa S1 Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta angkatan 2016-2019 yang pernah dan sedang menggunakan OVO. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 250 orang. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan gaya hidup, persepsi, kepercayaan dan promosi secara parsial dan simultan terhadap keputusan penggunaan OVO pada mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Keputusan penggunaan OVO pada mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta dipengaruhi oleh keempat variabel bebas tersebut sebesar 46,1% dan sisanya 53,9% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.Abstract: The study aimed to determine the factors that influence the decision to use OVO in students of the Faculty of Economics at Yogyakarta State University both partially and simultaneously. The factors examined in this study are lifestyle, perception, trust, and promotion. This study was included in an associative survey with a quantitative approach. Population in this study were all undergraduate students of the Faculty of Economics Yogyakarta State University class of 2016-2019 who have and are currently using OVO. The sampling technique using purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 250 respondent. Data analysis technique was linear regression analysis. The result of the study showed that there was a positive and significant effect of lifestyle, perception, trust, and promotion as a partial and simultaneous decision to use OVO. The decision to use OVO on students of the Faculty Economics Yogyakarta State University was affected by the four independent variables by 46,1%. In contrast, the remaining 53,9% is affected by other variables, not under study.
