Literature work is a notion which results a masterpiece with certain characteristics and it has aesthetics value. Understanding and enjoying literature work requires literature theoretical understanding. Literature theory explains to readers which will lead to a certain understanding or theory in a phenomenon consisted in it. This research aims to describe post-modern cultural aspects based on Jhon Francois Lyotard's theory in a novel written by Tere Liye, Ceros and Batazor edition. Tere Liye’s novel has data elaborating post-modernism aspects, such as electism, parody, pastiche, irony, and camp. The data source of this research is a novel written by Tere Liye, Ceros and Batazor edition. The data collection was done by reading and noting methods. This research was done by identifying, clarifying, analyzing, elaborating, and drawing in order to create conclusion within postmodern aspects in which represented social life as described in novel written by Tere Liye, Ceros and Batazor edition. The findings of Tere Liye’s novel describes fantasy and adventure words mixed in human lives and activities. They describe postmodern elements through several aspects. The research in Tere Liye’s novel, one of them is electism in which its behavior combines local and foreign cultures both from language or foreign good aspects. The parody element is uttered as criticism to describe or quip certain behaviors or activities done by society. Meanwhile, pastiche, in the novel is an event lasting as principles stated in the novel. Irony is a description of an unexpected occurred event or destiny. Camp in the novel is an emphasis on the characters’ behaviors which result to interpretation.

The purpose of this study are (1) to describe the value of struggle in novel Kami (Bukan) Sarjana Kertas by J.S. Khairen (2) describes the value benefits of internal struggle in novels Kami (Bukan) Sarjana Kertas. The method in this research is using descriptive method analytic by reading, taking notes, and analyzing every sentence in the novel which contains elements of literary sociology. The data source of this research came from novel Kami (Bukan) Sarjana Kertas by J.S.Khairen. The novel itself is produced from events social life of the community and the author himself. Therefore, the novel contains a variety the dynamics of life that occur in the community. This research is aimed at describes the sociological aspects of literature in the novel Kami (Bukan) Sarjana Kertas J.S. Khairen. The form of data from this research is in the form of sentences in the novel that contain elements of the values of struggle. The results of this novel research are to describe (1) the value of the willing sacrifice (2) the value of cooperation (3) the value of patience and never give up (4) the value of unity (5) the value hard work. The benefits are (1) the value of self-sacrifice (2) the value of cooperation (3) the value of patience and never give up (4) the benefit of the value of unity (5) the benefit of the value of hard work.

This study aims to reveal the character of one of the main characters, Honami in the Holy Mother novel. The data source in this study is the Holy Mother novel wrote by Japanese author Akiyoshi Rikako,which has been published in Indonesia in 2016. The technique used for data collection in this study is library techniques. The method usedin conducting this research was the psychoanalysis method which was first put forward by Sigmund Freud. The results showed that based on psychoanalytic studies, the main character of the novel,a woman namedHonami, showed that the Id aspectinfluences all of herthoughts and actions. This was triggered by various events, namely herown misfortune which had many miscarriages and had a disease that made it difficult for herto get pregnant, and Kaoru's existence that changed herlife to became more meaningful. The emergence of fear and concern for her daughter because of the successive killings that struck a small child in the city where she lived, making her falsify and obscure the fact that Makoto, wascommitted murder to protect her daughter. The results also showed thatthe personality of the main character, Honami, is dominated by an element of the Egopersonality that defeats the Superego.

This study aims to determine the psychological impact experienced by Alex Standall on the death of Hannah Baker, presented in the Thirteen Reasons Why series adaptation of the novel of the same title by Jay Asher. This study is a qualitative research. The data source used is the TV-series Thirteen Reasons Why first season. The data collection technique is from analyzing the series. The theory used in this study is the psychology of literature. The results of this study are as follows: first, the initial factors that triggered Alex Standall to do bad things to Hannah Baker. Second, the psychological condition of Alex Standall after making a mistake about Hannah Baker. Third, the guilty towards Hannah Baker that caused Alex Standall finally decided to end his life.

This study aimed to described the markers of grammatical cohesion in Ahmad Fuadi's novel Anak Rantau and to explain the dominant markers of grammatical cohesion found in Ahmad Fuadi's novel Anak Rantau. This type of  research because the data is in the form of languange units (paragraphs, sentences, clauses, and phrases) which contain grammatical cohesion markers. The data source of this research is from the novel Anak Rantau by Ahmad Fuadi. Methods and technique the research data collection use the observation and note method and technique used, namely the tapping technique. The findings of this study are, first, the four markers of grammatical cohesion in Ahmad Fuadi's novel Anak Rantau by: (a) references or referred to as references are divided into three type, including:  personal pronouns, demonstrative references, and comparative references. (b) conjuction and liaison is divided into three types, namely:  liaison between clauses, liaison between sentences, and liaison between paragraphs. (c) substitution or what is commonly called restitution is divided into four types, nominal substitution, verbal substitution, fractal substitution, and clausal substitution. (d) ellipsis or impingement. Second, the dominant grammatical cohesion marker found in Ahmad Fuadi's novel Anak Rantau, namely the references contained in personal pronouns or what can be called a persona reference was found as many  as 1193 data. The author of the novel mostly uses personal pronouns, especially in the pronoun persona III (third) closely bound form, namely 797 data found and mostly refers  to the character Hepi and Lenon.

Amongraga & Tembanglaras novel is one of the very interesting literary works to be studied because this novel contains a lot of religious values illustrated from the attitudes of the characters contained in the story for example, mutual assistance, behaving honestly and politely to anyone. We can apply this attitude in social life. This study aims to find and describe the attitudes or behaviors of people who are motivated by the teachings of their religion shown in attitudes and behavior in social life for example, helping one another, being honest and polite. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach that is supported by data collection using document or library techniques. The data source in this research is Novel Amongraga & Tembanglaras Karya Ardian Kresna. Data analysis techniques in this study use the concept of hermeneutics by taking steps namely, reading, marking, coding, analyzing. The results of the study showed that in the novel Amongraga & Tembanglaras depicted many positive attitudes and behaviors shown by good deeds, friendly, and polite to anyone and can be used as an example in daily life.

This study aims to describe the principles of nationalism in the Jprut novel by Putu Wijaya. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data source in this research is Jprut's novel by Putu Wijaya. Data collection techniques in this research are done by reading and taking notes and analyze techniques. The reading technique is related to reading and understanding the contents of the novel, while the writing technique is used to record important data or information related to the values of nationalism contained in Jprut's novel by Putu Wijaya. The results of this study indicate four principles of nationalism from the five existing principles. First, the aspect of unity described in the spirit of mutual cooperation delivered by Bung Karno by the main character. The aspect of independence described by the main character in freedom of speech. The aspect of equality illustrated by the anger of local residents when the main character's house flew the flag upside down, and the last is the aspect of personality that is shown by the attitude of the main character that is different from other residents.

This study aimed to describe the form of tolerance values in the novel Bulan Terbelah di Langit Amerika by Hanum Salsabiela Rais and Rangga Almahendra. The research method which was used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection used reading and note-taking techniques. The data in this study was a novel entitled Bulan Terbelah di Langit Amerika. The data source in this study were quotes which were contained in the novel. The analysis technique which was used is the content analysis technique. The theory used is the theory of tolerance values found in each text by paying attention to the elements of tolerance values. The results of this study indicated that there was a tolerance value that included in four elements. The first element was to give freedom or independence. The second element was recognizing the rights of each individual, then the third element was respecting the beliefs of others, and the fourth element is mutual understanding. One aspect of character education was a tolerance. For this reason, the results of this study could be used as material for character education. That was because the research results of the novel entitled the Bulan Terbelah di Langit Amerika were in accordance with the four elements of tolerance values.

This study aimed to describe the struggle for stereotypical elimination of women in Javanese society in the novel Entrok by Okky Madasari. This research was conducted by means of descriptive qualitative and uses a feminism approach. The data source was the novel of Entrok by Okky Madasari. The data in this study were in the form of sentences, paragraphs, dialog citations and discourses that describe the form of the struggle for stereotyped disappearances. Data collection techniques used are documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study is content analysis or content analysis, namely, research that is an in-depth discussion of the contents of written information. The results of the study show that there is an effort by the main character in removing stereotypes against women in Javanese society, especially in the field of work. The conclusion obtained is that efforts to eliminate stereotypes against women in Entrok's novel occur because the main character wants to show that women are capable of being equal to men, especially in the field of work. Women are able to prosper and elevate their social status without the help of men.

This research is based on the development of feminism values in the community. In a patriarchal environment, women have a low position compared to men. Women are subordinated in various fields of life, such as in the fields of education, social affairs and economics. This study aims to describe the values of feminism contained in the novel “Merry Riana: Mimpi Sejuta Dollar” by Alberthiene Endah. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study with a feminist literary criticism approach. The research method used is content analysis with data collection techniques read and record. The data source in this study is the novel “Merry Riana: Mimpi Sejuta Dollar” by Alberthiene Endah. Based on the results of the research, in the novel “Merry Riana: Mimpi Sejuta Dollar” by Alberthiene Endah there are values of feminism which include: (a) the value of feminism in education, (b) the value of feminism in the social field, and (c) the value of feminism in the economic.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) prasangka tokoh terhadap utusan gubernur dalam novel Si Anak Badai karya Tere Liye, 2) dampak prasangka tokoh terhadap utusan gubernur pada novel Si Anak Badai karya Tere Liye. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan psikologi sastra, dengan sumber datanya novel Si Anak Badai karya Tere Liye. Data berupa satuan cerita yang terwujud dalam dialog, paragraf, maupun narasi yang menjelaskan prasangka tokoh terhadap tokoh lain. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik baca catat kemudian dikelompokkan dalam tabel. Analisis data menggunakan langkah reduksi data yang meliputi menyeleksi, meringkas, serta menggolongkan data. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) prasangka tokoh terhadap utusan gubernur yang hendak mendirikan secara paksa pelabuhan di kampung Manowa yang terwujud dalam persepsi, kekhawatiran, bahkan tindakan perlawanan yang dilakukan oleh rakyat Manowa, 2) dampak prasangka tokoh terhadap utusan gubernur yang berwujud kemarahan dan juga kenekatan dalam melancarkan pembangunan pelabuhan tersebut. This study aims to describe 1) the prejudice of the characters on the governor's delegation in Si Anak Badai novel by Tere Liye, 2) The impact of the character's prejudice on the governor's delegation in Si Anak Badai novel by Tere Liye. This research is a descriptive qualitative study with a literary psychology approach. The data source is the novel Si Anak Badai by Tere Liye. Data in the form of story units that are manifested in dialogues, paragraphs, and narratives that explain the character's prejudice about other characters. The data collection technique used the reading and notes technique and then grouped them in a table. Data analysis uses data reduction steps which include selecting, summarizing, and classifying data. The results of this study are 1) the prejudice of the figures regarding the governor's delegation who want to forcibly establish a port in Manowa Village which are manifested in perceptions, worries, and even acts of resistance by the people of Manowa, 2) the impact of the figures' prejudice on the governor's delegation who is angry and impetuous in accelerating the construction of the port.
