Implementation of Feature Image Extraction on Quality Classification of Maduraness Tobacco

ABSTRACT

Madura is one of the tobacco producing areas in Indonesian. Madura tobacco is a type of plantation commodity that has high economic value. Most tobacco Madura is absorbed by cigarette manufacturers as the main raw material of cigarettes as well as as a concoction or clove mixture. In general Madura tobacco itself is divided into three parts: mountain tobacco, tobacco tegal, and tobacco sawah. Types of mountain tobacco are the most hunted by cigarette manufacturers, although the productivity is very low compared to tobacco. There are many types of varieties of mountain tobacco grown by farmers in Madura, but which has a distinctive characteristic is the Prancak-95 tobacco. This is because the Prancak-95 Madura tobacco aroma cannot be imitated by other types of copious varieties in Indonesia. Another thing that distinguishes that occurs due to the contour or structure of Madura land that is typical, which is the advantage of Madura tobacco. In this study designed a grading system to detect the quality of Prancak tobacco - 95 madura. The tobacco leaf quality detection is based on two feature extractions, namely texture and aromatics. Based on these two features will be classified using SNI qualification standards. So that the accuracy level of Madura tobacco leaf quality detection becomes more optimal
Keywords: Image extraction, Gas Sensor, Maduraness Tobacco

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, as well as in most Balkan countries, wool is a major environmental problem. After sheep shearing, farmers usually leave the wool at the shear sites, providing poorly degradable organic waste. The purchase price of such untreated wool is as low as its quality. By this research, we have tried to draw attention, from another aspect, to the quality of wool fibers of certain parts of the body, which is ultimately very important in the textile industry and in the selection of wool for further processing. The cuticle is made from cornfied cells, flakes, located on the surface of wool fibers. One of the significant roles of the cuticle is the protective. Namely, the cuticle protects the wool fibers from various external factors, whether mechanical or physic-chemical (such as ammonia evaporation in poorly maintained facilities, etc.), which can damage the fleece and thus make it less quality. We have found some differences in the flakes position and shape in the wool fibers we investigated, depending on part of the body from which they were sampled. However, by microscopic analyses of samples taken from the root of the tail, we have found that the flakes were much smaller and finer in structure than the arrangement and appearance of the cornified flakes from the rump. In this study, we have compared the appearance and arrangement of flakes of cuticle, which is very important in assessing the quality of wool and its further use as a raw material.

Abstract Background Weather change in high-altitude areas subjects mature tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) to cold stress, which damages tobacco leaf yield and quality. A brupt diurnal temperature differences (the daily temperature dropping more than 20 °C) along with rainfall in tobacco-growing areas at an altitude above 2450 m, caused cold stress to field-grown tobacco. Results After the flue-cured tobacco suffered cold stress in the field, the surface color of tobacco leaves changed and obvious large browning areas were appeared, and the curing availability was extremely poor. Further research found the quality of fresh tobacco leaves, the content of key chemical components, and the production quality were greatly reduced by cold stress. We hypothesize that cold stress in high altitude environments destroyed the antioxidant enzyme system of mature flue-cured tobacco. Therefore, the quality of fresh tobacco leaves, the content of key chemical components, and the production quality were greatly reduced by cold stress. Conclusion This study confirmed that cold stress in high-altitude tobacco areas was the main reason for the browning of tobacco leaves during the tobacco curing process. This adverse environment seriously damaged the quality of tobacco leaves, but can be mitigated by pay attention to the weather forecast and pick tobacco leaves in advance.

The objective of the study was to make a comparison among the two countries according to the level of sufficiency of educational resources and to determine the accuracy level at which variables related to educational resources can classify the schools on the basis of countries. Relational survey model was used. The sample group of the study was comprised of 186 schools from Turkey and 174 schools from Singapore for a total of 360 schools. Descriptive analyses and chi-square statistics were used to put forth whether there are differences with regard to the items. Logistic regression analysis was used to make an accurate classification of the schools according to their countries. Statistically significant differences between Turkish and Singapore schools were attained as a result of the chi-square analyses in all variables including lack of educational material, inadequate or poor quality educational material, lack of physical infrastructure and inadequate or poor quality physical infrastructure variables. A total of four variables included in the study explain about 60 % of the variance of Turkish and Singapore schools in having adequate educational resources. The equation obtained from analysis shows that lack of educational material is more important than lack of physical infrastructure. This alone puts forth that school success is related more to the quality of educational material than to physical inadequacies. As a result of the logistic regression with these variables, it was determined that the equation classifies 82% of the total number of 360 schools accurately. As a general conclusion of the study, it was observed with regard to its contributions to the model acquired via logistic regression.

As we know 2020 is a year which created lots of issues with every type of the business. Even it affects the agricultural eco system. Due to COVID-19 there is very less man power is available and farmers who are doing forming in larger way, they need lots of man power to monitor & maintain their farmers. Due to lack in man power its very difficult for the formers to monitor their farms from remotely, so there is need of system which is able to provide smart agricultural features like temperature & humidity monitoring remotely apart from that farmer have the power to monitor the quality of their leaves. So, in this paper we present an IoT enabled system which is able to track the temperature & Humidity from the remotely apart from that it is also able to capture the image of the leaf and send to server where in server using Computer vision & machine learning system, we will track the leaf quality. In this paper we proposed a hardware unit which is basically using ESP32 Cam and DHT11. Here ESP-32 work as smart CAM which is able to track the image of the leaf and send those real time image to the server. Here we are using think speak to store the accuracy level parameters of each leaf record. Similar we will store temperature & humidity real time data on the think speak server. Think speak server is powered by math work.

Abstract Seaweed Eucheuma sp. is one of the natural resources of Indonesia. Seaweed many processed in dry form after going through a drying process or processed into food ready for consumption. Seaweed is no longer just eaten or used to direct treatment, but can be processed into jelly, Algin, carrageenan (carrageenan) and furselaran (furcellaran) which is an important raw material in the food industry, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and so on. This plant has an important economic value in various industries such as pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food, textile and paper industries. This study aims to determine the Fixer solution of Tawas, Poly Aluminium Chloride and Kapur Tohor most effective at biopigmen Eucheuma sp. instead of synthetic dyes in textile and determine the best concentration of the solution Fixer Tawas, Poly Aluminium Chloride and Tohor in deciding the color biopigmen Eucheuma sp. instead of synthetic dyes in textiles. This study uses a randomized block design (RAK). This research was conducted by observing and comparing the effect Fixer solution between Tawas, Poly Aluminium Chloride and Kapur Tohor against staining quality biopigmen seaweed Eucheuma sp. instead of synthetic dyes in textiles. Organoleptic test results showed fixation material Poly Aluminium Chloride able to maintain better color than the color produced by the fixation Tawas and Kapur Tohor. Poly Aluminium Chloride fixation material produces a bright brown color, Tawas brown, reddish brown Tohor. The test results of color fastness to rubbing cloth (dry) indicates that the color fastness of the strongest to the weakest sequentially generated from Tawas fixation materials, lime Tohor, Poly Aluminium Chloride, while the test fastness to washing soap and desecration of white cloth from the strongest to The weakest is Poly Aluminium Chloride, Kapur Tohor and Tawas.

The quality of ground surface pregrouting (GSPG) is commonly qualitatively evaluated using single factor; however, the quality evaluation involves numerous facets, and a quantitative evaluation is rare. The aim of this study was to quantitatively evaluate the quality of a GSPG based on three aspects. The fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) was adopted to obtain the final score and quality classification of the GSPG. Based on three aspects, namely, integrity, continuity, and sturdiness, a series of field tests was also conducted, qualitatively evaluating the quality of the GSPG preliminary, to obtain the required test data and verify the FAHP results. The results of the FAHP showed that the quality of the GSPG was 86.42, which could be classified as “Good”, whereas the field tests exhibited that the GSPG was effective, thereby verifying that the FAHP was reliable. In addition, the proposed method provided a detailed comprehension of the quality evaluation of GSPG and a frame of reference for analogous engineering.

In a series of field and pot experiments, quality of cured leaf of tobacco plants Nicotiana tabacum, was adversely affected by increasing leaf levels of manganese. The quality decline manifested itself as a leaf 'greying' effect. Leaf manganese concentrations were readily increased by either foliar or substrate application of manganese. The increase in leaf manganese content was associated with a significant increase in potassium concentration and a significant decrease in calcium concentration in leaves. Sodium and magnesium leaf concentrations were not greatly affected by manganese. It is suggested that the decline in cured leaf quality was associated primarily with a change in the K : Ca : Mg ratio, which occurred at relatively low concentrations of manganese in the leaves. The results of this investigation indicate that the use of manganese-based fungicide sprays could cause a further quality decline of tobacco produced on soils containing high levels of exchangeable manganese.
