The development of information technology contributes to creating media diversity. This rapid development has triggered a shift in the availability of access from limited access to abundant media. The birth of cyber media is one sign of this diversity. However, not everything that develops has a positive impact, but many audiences complain about the reality that has entered the era of a world crowded with media. The existence of this phenomenon gives rise to freedom in the creation and dissemination of information which leads to the delivery of irresponsible messages. So that the phenomenon of the spread of fake news or hoaxes is increasing significantly in Indonesia and even in the world. Unfortunately, most netizens who take part in this new media era do not pay attention to cyber media law and ethics. In addition, they also lack knowledge about what, why and how media literacy is applied. From the emergence of this problem, it is important for netizens and audiences to know the importance of digital intelligence, as an effort to reduce the consumptive behavior of the global community in consuming information from hoax crimes.. New media is rapidly evolving and has an impact on our daily life. The rapid development of applications and increasing number of social media users can lead the users in a vulnerable condition. Human trafficking, also known as TPPO (Tindak Pidana Perdagangan Orang) in Indonesia, is one of the threats that users encounter, it commonly happens to young users who do not have enough information about it, but they can obtain TPPO information through employment advertisements in the media. The goal of this study is to look at media literacy levels and the correlations between them and TPPO message comprehension in new media. This research used a descriptive quantitative method with a correlation approach, in which associations between variables were measured. The media literacy levels of respondents were measured by using a Likert scale with a range of 1-5. The aspects measured were age, school origin and ownership of social media. These aspects and the TPPO message understanding in new media were measured by a Pearson scale. This study found that the highest level of media literacy was in the age group of 15 years old from SMAN 1(Public Senior High School) Pakem and that the number of social media account ownership did not show a significant relationship with the literacy levels. The measurement on the relationships between the media literacy levels and the TPPO message understanding by using a Pearson scale obtained 0.606; these results indicated that the correlation between both variables was high.

Information, communication, and technology (ICT) in communities now have been major needs. Media nowadays developed in to new media like social media. Social media have different characteristic compared to mass media. One of the differences is the source or communicator. In social media, the communicator often unknown. The other characteristic is, social media has a massive effect through individual user. Ironically, not all the news and information which spread out in social media is a real news or fake news and hoaxes. In the other hand, social media user didn’t have media literacy to recognize the fake and the real news. to counter that, it needs to build awareness and empowering community of anti-hoax in Denpasar, as the biggest city in Bali. The activities were socialization in diverse age, researched, and campaign in the heart of Denpasar involving the vice governor of Bali Province.

Digitalisation and emerging technologies affect our lives and are increasingly present in a growing number of fields. Ethical implications of the digitalisation process have therefore long been discussed by the scholars. The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) has taken the legal and ethical discussion to another level. There is no doubt that AI can have a positive impact on the society. The focus here, however, is on its more negative impact. This article will specifically consider how the law and ethics in their interaction can be applied in a situation where a disabled person needs some kind of assistive technology to participate in the society as an equal member. This article intends to investigate whether the EU Guidelines for Trustworthy AI, as a milestone of ethics concerning technology, has the power to change the current practice of how social and economic rights are applied. The main focus of the article is the ethical requirements ‘Human agency and oversight’ and, more specifically, fundamental rights.

The new media era is a time when every individual has a virtual community other than their community in the real world. The high interactivity of social media and its decentralized nature allows for the enormous flow of information that inflicts social media users. This of course can have a positive impact, but it can also bring a negative effect. To counteract the negative effects of social media, media literacy is needed, in this case for students. Media literacy is done to form a filter on students, in the face of negative exposure in social media that can give effect to the formation of a stereotype of a person against a particular ethnic or religious groups, as well as information charged with radicalism. It is deemed necessary to see IAIN Kendari students who have very diverse ethnic backgrounds and different organizational backgrounds of different groups, thus affecting the difference of individuals in making decisions or in dealing with various forms of information from social media. Media literacy is done through the way of da'wah is to provide understanding to the students how the media to construct a message that is combined with messages that contain knowledge about Islam. This paper will describe the media literacy model for IAIN Kendari students with the form of da'wah which aims to counteract the understanding of radicalism obtained through social media, for IAIN students Kendari.

Introduction. In the modern world of digi-tal technologies media literacy has become theimportanttopic of the discussions of politicians in many countries while they are discussing media in general and digital media or the Internet in particular. Taking into account the tendency to European Union which distinguishes our country and for the successful development of media literacy in it, it could be useful to know about the peculiar-ities of the development of this strategy in other European countries and to analyze their achievements and draw-backs. The country of our interest is Belgium which is located in the heart of Europe and concentrate many common features of European politics. The purpose of the article is to analyze the tendencies of introducing media literacy into educational strategies of Flanders (Belgium) and reveal the expediencyof the use of Flanders experience while regulating the educational system of Ukraine.The methods of analysis, synthesis and comparisonare used in the article.Results.Considering the debates in Flemish govern-ment directed towards choosing the best way of imple-menting the media literacy policies, it can be stated that first attempts were made after the dramatic development of the digital technologies. Digital media became more commonly used by citizens of different age and social status, so the issue of protecting them from different nega-tive effects of media, that is, fake news, brutality etc. should fit to a new reality. The instrument of such protec-tion would be media literacy instead of restrictive measures of the government, the latter being considered an ineffective policy. Shifting the responsibility to consum-ers became a goodpractice, but under the condition that they are provided with necessary skills which are of a much wider range that digital skills/ Moreover, media literacy should necessarily include the skills in construct-ing media connecting knowledge of media background and its practical implementation via creating new media products and so understanding their artificial nature.Originality. This research has been done for the first time with the use of original literature sources. Conclusion.Having analyzed different tendencies in policies of implementing media literacy in Flanders (Bel-gium) the author can conclude that during last decades there has been a considerable shift in attitude to media literacy there. Having noticed, that restrictive measures directed to protect consumers from negative influence of media (fake news, violence, addiction etc.) did not act properly because of drastic changes of the media envi-ronment. It became more and more digitalized, and con-sumers have been included in the processes of its crea-tion. It meant that new approaches should be developed giving consumers knowledge and skills which could pro-tect them instead of law. The discussion on the issue are still taking place on the ministry level in Flanders, be-cause restrictive laws are easier to be voted, but making media literacy a part and parcel of a society culture pro-vides more self-confidence and responsibility to the citi-zens of a democratic state. This experience can be quite useful for choosing the correct way of the development and introduction of media literacy in Ukraine.

We currently live amid the rapid development of communication systems and the media's tightness, which makes everyone aware of any information conveyed. The coverage of lies or hoaxes is the focus of attention, especially in online media. Hoax is information that is engineered to cover up real information. Based on the Community Service Team's interviews and observations with partners, PCA members and administrators are acting as consumers of mass media, especially TV and internet media, namely WA, as daily information media. In its management activities, media literacy has never been carried out, even though media literacy needs an empowered and information literate society. Thus, Community Service will be carried out through this community service activity in the form of Empowerment of Aisyiyah Ngampilan Branches through Healthy Media Literacy. The method carried out by the community service team is workshops related to the importance of media literacy in dealing with hoaxes; media literacy assistance in dealing with hoaxes; digital-based "Tabayun on information to be smart as a media literate person"; making a guide book for Healthy Media Literacy; Smart As Media literate individuals face hoaxes"; providing facilities for the Aisyiyah Ngampilan Branch office that can be used to support management activities of the Aisyiyah Ngampilan Yogyakarta Branch. This Muhammadiyah-based community service is the increased ability of the board and members, especially related to healthy media literacy in dealing with hoaxes.

  The rapid development of new media gives an impact on almost every corner of people’s life. This development also opens the opportunity to the missionaries to use social media as a medium to deliver Islamic propagation. Hence, the transformation occurs in the method of Islamic propagation delivery among the missionaries who started using social media, especially Facebook. This is because social media is suitable as a compliment and an alternative medium to the da’wah medium of the existing. However, the use of social media in delivering the message of Islamic da’wah should be carried out prudently and wisely to different audiences. Accordingly, this research aims to identify the category of the message, the function of the messages, and the delivery strategy of Islamic propagation through the medium of Facebook of five elected missionaries. Five Facebook pages have been chosen and analyzed using the thematic analysis with NVivo software. The theme of this study has been prepared in advance because this research involves the knowledge related to the Islamic laws that have been established by the tenets of Islam. The theoretical framework of this study is built base on the Framing Theory. The results obtained showed that the majority of the messages displayed in the selected Facebook pages categorized as religious missionaries. The function to encourage charity is a message that often discussed in the analyzed entry. However, the strategy of choice for missionaries to be applied on their Facebook page is the writing that has the effect of information. The findings can be referred to the missionaries and also to the government agencies and NGOs in practicing and strategizing before the establishment of Islamic missionary message is disseminated to the public. Utilizing an accurate delivery strategy will be more appealing and provide a positive impact on society.   Keywords: Social media, Facebook, Islamic Da’wah, Framing Theory

If mainstream media meant one sender and inordinate receivers, nowadays, new media brought the chance and challenge to have numberless senders and receivers at the same time, in a network of information. Along with polyphonic chunks, inaccurate information penetrates the echo-chambers we create. The danger is that unless timely spotted, it sows disinformation and polarization. The solution resides in media literacy skills, in raising awareness over types of communication products meant for malicious use especially within social media where user generated content contributes to proliferating and spreading the content at incredible speed. The present paper is meant to present ways that help individuals avoid being subject to mal-intended behavioural and cognitive influence.
