The aim of the study is to optimize technological solutions to reduce the cost of building a filling array, which remains one of the most pressing issues in the development of ore deposits by underground method. To achieve this goal, a comprehensive research method is used, which includes, first of all, a generalization and analysis of the practice of backfilling of enterprises, geotechnological design in relation to the storey-chamber development system and a feasibility study of optimization solutions at the level of expert assessment using the capabilities of engineering forecasting. Laying works with underground technology of mining of mineral deposits are the most costly, in connection with which research is carried out in order to develop ways to reduce the cost of repayment of the worked-out area. Through a systematic review and critical analysis of existing backfill technologies, the technical feasibility and economic feasibility of combining a hardening mixture and waste rock within a single repayable object has been identified, which provides a radical reduction in the proportion of hardening backfill. In the article offered to the reader’s attention, a variant of the combined array design and the technology of its formation are proposed. A variant of mechanization of the process of erection of the combined massif using specialized dump trucks is provided. This method of forming a combined filling mass allows reducing the volume of the hardening mixture in the total volume of the worked out space of the chambers by not a third. In connection with the complex mechanism of the formation of the combined filling massif, the work considers various options for the discharge of rock into the goaf, which differ in the number of points of discharge of the ingredients of filling materials into the goaf. Based on geotechnological design and mathematical modeling of the formation of a filling massif, it is certain that to increase the efficiency of filling the worked-out chamber space, two points of controlled rock discharge are necessary. The study identified ways to reduce the cost of controlling rock pressure in specific conditions by combining hardening mixture and waste rock for filling voids with a reduction in the proportion of hardening filling up to 50%. A variant of the combined massif construction with mechanization of the massif erection process using specialized dump trucks can significantly reduce the volume of the hardening mixture.

Neglect of soils leads to their degradation, worsens useful properties, and reduces fertility and productivity. (Research purpose) The research purpose is in conducting a comparative analysis of technologies for treating degraded soils, taking into account the economic feasibility of their restoration in non-black-soil regions of Russia. (Materials and methods) The article shows the main technological scheme of restoration of degraded soils. Authors have identified the main groups of land that are located in non-black-soil regions of Russia. (Results and discussion) The article presents the need for equipment, economic and labor costs for the restoration of each type of land in the non-black-soil regions of Russia. Authors took into account that the salary of machine operators depends on the time of direct execution of the task. It was found that the restoration of virgin and fallow lands was the most preferable from the economic, energy-saving and environmental points of view. The article shows that the restoration of pasture areas exceeds the cost of processing virgin lands, but the number of necessary machine and tractor units is comparable to work on virgin lands. Authors recommend to develop the soils with woody and shrubby vegetation in the first place, starting with land occupied by young plants. It is necessary to take into account the criteria for the fertility of the soil layer. It was found that soils with a small excess of moisture have small cost of its development, while on heavily swampy soils the cost of work on their development is many times higher than the cost of restoring other types of land. (Conclusion) The article shows that the restoration of neglected land is a necessary condition for improving the provision of human needs for food and a number of industrial goods. First of all, it is necessary to develop land that requires minimal investment of economic and labor costs.

AbstractThe management of municipal solid waste is a major logistic and environmental problem worldwide. Nonetheless, the organic fraction of municipal solid waste (OFMSW) is a valuable source of nutrients which can be used for a variety of purposes, according to the Circular Economy paradigm. Among the possible applications, the bioproduction of a biodegradable polyester, poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) [P(3HB)], using OFMSW as carbon platform is a promising strategy. Here, an economic and environmental assessment of bacterial P(3HB) production from OFMSW is presented based on previously published results. The SuperPro Designer® software was used to simulate P(3HB) production under our experimental parameters. Two scenarios were proposed depending on the fermentation medium: (1) enzymatic hydrolysate of OFMSW supplemented with glucose and plum waste juice; and (2) basal medium supplemented with glucose and plum waste juice. According to our results, both scenarios are not economically feasible under our experimental parameters. In Scenario 1, the low fermentation yield, the cost of the enzymes, the labour cost and the energy consumption are the factors that most contribute to that result. In Scenario 2, the cost of the extraction solvent and the low fermentation yield are the most limiting factors. The possibility of using process waste as raw material for the generation of other products must be investigated to enhance economic feasibility. From an environmental viewpoint, the photochemical oxidation potential (derived from the use of anisole as extraction solvent) and the generation of acid rain and global warming effect (caused by the burning of fuels for power generation) are the most relevant impacts associated to P(3HB) production under our experimental parameters.

Carbon dioxide has been identified as one of the greenhouse gases responsible for global warming. Several carbon capture and storage technologies have been developed to mitigate the large quantities of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere, but these are quite expensive and not easy to implement. Thus, this research analyses the technical and economic feasibility of using calcium leached from cow bone to capture and store carbon dioxide through the mineral carbonation process. The capturing process of carbon dioxide was successful using the proposed technique of leaching calcium from cow shinbone (the tibia) in the presence of HCl by reacting the calcium solution with gaseous carbon dioxide. AAS and XRF analysis were used to determine the concentration of calcium in leached solutions and the composition of calcium in cow bone respectively. The best leaching conditions were found to be 4 mole/L HCl and leaching time of 6 h. Under these conditions, a leaching efficiency of 91% and a calcium conversion of 83% in the carbonation reaction were obtained. Other factors such as carbonation time, agitation rate, and carbonation reaction temperature had little effect on the yield. A preliminary cost analysis showed that the cost to capture 1 ton of CO2 with the proposed technique is about US$ 268.32, which is in the acceptable range of the capturing process. However, the cost of material used and electricity should be reviewed to reduce the preliminary production cost.

The reuse of upgraded wastewater for beneficial uses is increasingly adopted and accepted as a tool in water management. However, funding of schemes is still a critical issue. The focus of this paper is on economic considerations of water reuse planning. A survey of pricing mechanisms for reclaimed water revealed that most schemes are subsidised to a great extent. In order to minimise these state contributions to the implementation and operation of reuse projects, their planning should identify a least cost design option. This also has to take into account the established pricing structure for conventional water resources and the possibility of gaining revenues from reclaimed water pricing. The paper presents a case study which takes into account these aspects. It evaluates different scheme designs with regard to their Net Present Value (NPV). It could be demonstrated that for the same charging level, quite different amounts of reclaimed water can be delivered while still producing an overall positive NPV. Moreover, the economic feasibility and competitiveness of a reuse scheme is highly determined by the cost structure of the conventional water market.

The scientific article presents the duration of acaricidal effect of «Kenem» drug, and its economic feasibility for protecting cattle against ixodic ticks. As a result of the study, the acaricidal efficacy and the duration of the residual acaricidal effect of drugs are important components in the planning of anti-tick measures. From a practical point of view, the economic feasibility of treating cattle against ixodic ticks in the presented conditions of acaricides in the southern regions is considered important. Despite the fact that the cost of the drug per 100 head exceeds the cost of a similar drug by 1 788.15 tenge, the frequency of its use is less, and additional installations are not required. This is due to the long duration of residual acaricidal effect of Kenem, which is 30 days, which allows to reduce the number of therapeutic measures. When calculating the economic feasibility for the use of acaricides to protect cattle against ixodic ticks, the most convenient way to prevent the sucking of ixodic ticks to animals is the local application of Kenem, which does not require special equipment and special skills of technical staff. Drug duration is 30 days, therefore the cost of its use for the entire season of active ticks per 1 animal is 44% cheaper, compared to veteran, i.e. 1,421.4 tenge.

Solar energy is widely used in solar systems, where economy and ecology are combined. Namely, this represents an important moment in the era of depletion of energy resources. The use of solar energy is a promising economical item for all countries of the world, meeting their interests also in terms of energy independence, thanks to which it is confidently gaining a stable position in the global energy sector. The cost of heat obtained through the use of solar installations largely depends on the radiation and climatic conditions of the area where the solar installation is used. The climatic conditions of our country, especially the south, make it possible to use the energy of the Sun to cover a significant part of the need for heat. A decrease in the reserves of fossil fuel and its rise in price have led to the development of optimal technical solutions, efficiency and economic feasibility of using solar installations. And today this is no longer an idle curiosity, but a conscious desire of homeowners to save not only their financial budget, but also health, which is possible only with the use of alternative energy sources, such as: double-circuit solar installations, geothermal heat pumps (HP), wind power generators. The problem is especially acute in the heat supply of housing and communal services (HCS), where the cost of fuel for heat production is several times higher than the cost of electricity. The main disadvantages of centralized heat supply sources are low energy, economic and environmental efficiency. And high transport tariffs for the delivery of energy carriers and frequent accidents on heating mains exacerbate the negative factors inherent in traditional district heating. One of the most effective energy-saving methods that make it possible to save fossil fuel, reduce environmental pollution, and meet the needs of consumers in process heat is the use of heat pump technologies for heat production.

Objective. The chewing group of teeth is intended for equally crusher of food and forming food lump. This group is presented by two kinds of teeth: premolars and molars, and more often affected by caries, because a lot of retention zones are contribute to the active delay of plaque and the appearance of carious cavities. It is happening before 18 years. In the absence of these teeth or badly damaged of the crown part, food is chewed badly and as a result, stomach contain extremely large pieces. But its size is impossible for physiological digestion by the gastrointestinal tract and as a consequence the occurrence of gastrointestinal diseases. According to modern data, to work with lesions of hard tissues of the teeth, namely the chewing group of teeth, it is advisable to use composite light-curing microhybrid materials, which are characterized by particles close to the spherical shape. The aim of this study is determination of the possibility using a budgetary aesthetic composite for restorative restoration of the masticatory group of teeth in patients with a burdened anamnesis. Material and methodology. Was examined 22 people with aesthetic and anatomical disorders of the vestibular and occlusal surface of the hard tissues of the chewing group of teeth (n=154), followed by their recovery. The stability of filling materials was assessed according to Ryge-criteria: color coincidence, discoloration of the marginal segment, marginal adaptation, anatomical shape integrity, restoration surface, secondary caries. Results. Clinical and dental examination showed all the above violations of existing restorations (according to Ryge classification) in patients before restoration manipulations. After 1 week after the restoration, the examination showed that both groups of composites completely restore the anatomical and aesthetic chewing group of teeth and meet all the criteria. After 3 months, the assessmen t of the restoration by the composite of group A and group B did not reveal evidence of secondary caries on the perimeter of the restorations. Clinical and dental examination after 6 months showed minor changes in the restorations of composites of both groups in assessing the stability of color (90.9% and 83.3% in groups A and B) and the stability of surface polishing (89.6% and 81.8%, respectively). Discussion. The main signs of the restoration, which are undergoing changes, are discoloration, as well as the preservation of the smoothness of the surface regardless of the cost and branding of the base material.
