News program is one of Indonesia's most popular programs although in practice the program is still unable to compete with entertainment programs. Redaksiana program has successfully captured the heart of Indonesian audiences with achieving a high rating. This program displays different information to the news program in general, so it is more interesting to watch. Similar to other media, television program Redaksiana on Trans7 presents the news as the result of selection, construction, and reconstruction. Research problem studied is how Redaksiana constructs the news and what frames it uses. This research was conducted using qualitative method through the Pan and Kosicky framing model analysis. The structure of news framing elements studied was schematic, script, thematic, and rhetorical. The results were seen from the schematic structure and news scripts “Lose in votes, Legislator Candidate Blocked the Village Road” according to the script writing television news. Redaksiana featured the elements of 5Ws + 1H as the main element of the news. However, the frame was clearly visible in thematic and rhetorical. The way Redaksiana wrote the fact (thematic) and how Redaksiana emphasized the fact (rhetorical) of news writing indulge sensational elements. It is then pointed out as a factor that makes the news “Lose in votes, Legislator Candidate Blocked the Village Road” interesting to watch.

The study concerned with discussing about slang words used in Bruno Mars song lyrics. The research design of this study is descriptive qualitative method. In this study, the theory of word-formation process by George Yule process (1986) in his book “the study of language” is used to analyze the formation process of each slang word. The researcher only analyzes five in Bruno Mars song lyrics. They are count on me, show me, the lazy song, liquor store blues and just the way you are. There are consists of two research problem : (1) what is the type of slang word used by Bruno Mars in lyrics, (2) what is the dominant slang word found in Bruno Mars song lyrics. The data were document analysis, the research tried to find and identity the slang word in lyric by marking, finding and analyzing the slang word. The result shows that from 58 data taken, not all process of slang-word formation appear in the lyrics. Five process of slang-word formation found in the lyrics. The process of slang word formation that are used in the lyrics are clipping(160%), blending(120%), coinage(80%), borrowing(0%), and acronym(60%).

This study aims to obtain a types of sumbawa language shift in Sumbawa, especially in Tatebal village. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method which aims to provide an overview of the various types of sumbawa language shift in Sumbawa, especially in Tatebal village. In collecting data, the researcher used direct observation techniques and interviews with Tatebal society. Observation used to know the way of teenagers, adults and old people in Tatebal village during doing a daily conversation. Interviews were conducted with teenagers, adult and old people in the village and interviews with informants,to add information to the research. Based on the research, the sumbawa language shift that occured in Tatebal village very diverse,  for example  the word maming to adress their father became bapak, mambo became sendal, jelaja became jendela etc.

When interacting with other people, we must cooperate during the conversation. By cooperating, it will make the conversation run well and flow smoothly. However, the speaker can violate the maxim and caused understanding. This study aims to analyze violating maxims done by a speaker on ‘‘Sapa Indonesia Malam” news program that consists of two segments. The writers analyze the data by applying the theory of cooperative principle by Grice and using descriptive qualitative method. The result of this study showed that there are sixty-four violating utterances. Relation maxim comes as the most common maxim that violating by the speaker. It occurs twenty-eight times during the conversation. After that, it was followed by quality maxim with twenty-one violation utterances. Then ten times of violation quantity maxim and maxim of manner as the lowest violation because it only occurs five times.

Gugon Tuhon (GT) is a Javanese proposition found in the community as a learning tool. This study explains baby care GT in the village of Bulurejo, Kediri, East Java. Currently, GT is poorly understood and obsolete. Therefore, the research problem of this paper is how can the meaning of GT be understood by mothers in the village of Bulurejo and what does the effect of understanding GT? This study used 8 GT from www.sastra.org, and an interview was conducted with a dhukun (traditional healer) to get in-depth data. This study uses qualitative method and Speech Act theory by Austin (1984) on locutionary act, illocutionary act, and perlocutionary act to identify the meanings of GT understood by mothers, and the theory of language attitudes by Triandis (1971) and Knops (1987) to explain the effects. The hypothesis of this paper is that the understanding of baby care GT as an illocutionary act is less understood, compared to the meaning of locution and perlocution. GT is understood and done by mothers as means of self-defense of fear and gaining knowledge of parents who convey GT. This research is expected to provide knowledge about GT baby care for mothers and support GT preservation.

Brand of television programs has positive equity. It marks by the strength of audience awareness and familiarity with the name of the program. Marketer of television station are considered can create brand knowledge of the program in the audience memory. Nevertheless, as a business, television industries supposed to dynamically follow market need and wants. The brand of the television program which has strength awareness as well as the image on the audience memory will gradually change as much as a media business. This study using a qualitative method and case study as a research strategy to reveals the research problem about how the newsroom team arranged their strategies to maintain brand knowledge to the popularity program. The case study was conducted on RCTI news program “Seputar Indonesia” which has top of mind in audience memory then changed into “Seputar iNews”. This study aiming to enquire how television broadcasting journalist strategies to maintain brand knowledge of their news program. The result is newsroom team have adapted and innovated their process to maintain brand knowledge. They were using main strategic such as maintain their replacement news program typically, maintain brand element whose have audiences top of mind, also using the digital platform.  Merek sebuah program televisi seringkali memiliki ekuitas yang positif. Hal ini ditandai dengan kesadaran dan keakraban yang kuat antara audiens dengan nama program televisi tersebut. Pemasar pada stasiun televisi telah mampu menciptakan pengetahuan terhadap merek (brand knowledge) dalam hal ini nama program acara, di dalam memori audiens. Namun, sebagai sebuah bisnis, industri televisi juga harus tetap bergerak dinamis mengikuti keinginan dan kebutuhan pasar. Merek program yang telah memiliki kesadaran dan citra (brand awareness dan brand image) yang kuat di dalam memori audiens, berubah mengikuti kepentingan bisnis media. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus, peneliti mengangkat permasalahan bagaimana tim redaksi pemberitaan, menyusun strategi guna mempertahankan brand knowledge sebuah program yang sudah populer di mata penonton. Studi kasus dilakukan terhadap program “Seputar Indonesia” di stasiun televisi RCTI yang sudah melekat di benak konsumen, namun kemudian berubah nama menjadi “Seputar iNews”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi yang dilakukan oleh pelaku industri media penyiaran televisi dalam mempertahankan brand knowledge sebuah program berita. Hasilnya, tim redaksi pemberitaan sudah melakukan proses adaptasi dan inovasi untuk mempertahankan brand knowledge. Redaksi menggunakan strategi utama yakni mempertahankan ciri khas program berita pengganti, mempertahankan elemen merek yang sudah menjadi top of mind penonton, serta memanfaatkan media digital dan platform lain dalam satu grup perusahaan.

This research explains the mysticism of mappadendang tradition in Allamungeng Patue Village, Bone Regency, which is believed by the local community as a form of shielding from danger and can resist reinforcemen such as Covid-19 outbreak. This research is a descriptive study using qualitative method and an ethnographic approach. This research was carried out with the aim of identifying the mystical space in mappadendang tradition which was held in Allamungeng Patue Village. After conducting the tracing process, the researcher found that mappadendang tradition which was held in Allamungeng Patue Village, Bone Regency in July 2020 was not a tradition of harvest celebration as generally in several villages in Bone Regency, especially Bugis tribe, but mappadendang was held as a form of shielding from all distress including Covid-19 outbreak. This trust was obtained after one of the immigrants who now resides in the village dreamed of meeting an invisible figure (tau panrita) who ordered a party to be held that would bring all the village people because remembering that in the village during Covid-19 happened to almost all the existing areas in Indonesia, the people of Allamungeng Patue Village were spared from the outbreak. Spontaneously, the people of Allamungeng Patue Village worked together to immediately carry out the mappadendang tradition as a form of interpretation of the message carried by the figure.

ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF HOUSEHOLD INCOME ON MEAT CONSUMPTION (BEEF, PORK AND CHIKEN) AT THE VILLAGE OF SEA I, PINELENG DISTRICT.This study aims to determine the magnitude of meat consumption (beef, porl and chiken) of household based on income levels in the Village of Sea I, Pineleng district and to determine the effect of household income on meat consumption (beef, porl and chiken) in the Village of Sea I, Pineleng district. Formulation of research problem is how much they purchased meat (beef, porl and chiken) consumption household in the Village of Sea I, Pineleng district. This study was conducted in the Village of Sea I, Pineleng district. Study was conducted using a survey method, and data were obtained through primary data and secondary data. Determination of the location (rural sample) in the study was conducted by purposive sampling method. Number of samples used in this study were 30 people. Data of this study were analyzed by descriptive and mathematical analysis methods. Income indicated the amount of income earned in a month household, whether they were from the household head or sourced from other household members who work and earn income. From the money earned, the highest number of respondents had incomes between 1.000.000 to 3.000.000/month with the percentage of 70 %, while the number of respondents with the smallest income was less than 1.000.000/month with the percentage of 16.67 %. The difference of income held by the respondents in the Village of Sea I, would have an impact on the amount of meat purchases each month. This was in accordance with the opinion Sukirno (2002) stating that most of the disposable income is used to buy food and clothing. Most of the meat consumed by people in the Village of Sea I was pork and chicken meat compared to beef, it was because the price of beef was relatively expensive compared to the price of pork and chicken meat. Based on research results, pork was the most meat consumed by family respondents about 21 families with the percentage of 70 % of respondents, followed by chicken meat about 18 families with the percentage of 60 % of respondents, and beef by 8 families with the percentage of 26 respondents, 67 % of domestic poultry and meat about 6 families with the percentage of 20 % of respondents. Based on the results of research, it can be concluded that household income significantly affect the consumption of meat in the Village of Sea I, Pineleng district and the average consumption of meat in the Village of Sea I, Pineleng district was about 8,9  kg/capita/year, below the national target of 10,3  kg/capita/year.   Key Words : Household income, meat consumption, Sea I Village.

<p>Despite Sasak community in five sub-districts of North Lombok uses the same dialect, namely kuto-Kute Dialect (BSDK), the people within those sub-districts demonstrate different lexicals to express the same meaning. The purpose of this study is to describe the lexicals variations in Kuto-Kute Dialect used by the community in North Lombok. This study used a descriptive-qualitative method. The data was taken by using observation and conversational method. Observation method was applied by observing the language used by communities within the observation spots in the village, while conversational method was used by having conversations with the informants from the observed villages. The data was analysed by using referential identity and distributional methods. The result of the analysis showed that Sasak Kuto-Kute dialect in certain gloss has lexical variations they are glosses having two lexical variation and three lexical variations.</p>

This study aims to determine the types of natural dye plants, organs or plant parts used in the process of coloring woven cloth, and the processing of plants to produce colors as dyes of woven cloth, colors produced from plants dyed woven cloth dyes in Harona Kalla Village, West Laboya sub-district, West Sumba Regency. The method used is a qualitative method with semi-structural observation and interview techniques that refer to the list of questions that have been prepared. Based on the results of research in Harona Kalla Village, west Laboya sub-district, West Sumba Regency, three types of natural coloring plants were found, namely turi leaves (Sesbania grandiflora), turmeric rhizome (Curcuma domestica L), mahogany (Swietenia mahagoni L). In addition to coloring plants there are plants that are used as additives in coloring namely fence kedondong (Lannae nigritana), baiduri (Calotropis gigantea), betel lime and iron rust / vinegar. The organs in the coloring process are bark, rhizome and leaves. And the processing of plant organs is done pounding and boiling. The purpose of adding lime is to lock the color so that it does not fade easily. Based on the results of the study, the colors produced from plants in the village of Harona Kalla are turi leaves (Sesbania grandiflora) which are pounded and produce a green color. Turmeric (Curcuma domestica L) which is pounded and boiled produces yellow, mahogany bark (Swietenia mahagoni L) which is boiled produces a black color. The conclusion of this research is that it is necessary to design efforts to cultivate color-producing plants which are non-wood forest products to support the sustainable industry in Harona Kalla Village, for the cultivation of species of color-producing plants.

Traditional culture underlying a wide range of behavior and deeds of a society and gave birth to a variety of oral literature as well as myth. The myth that developed and still surviving in public life of Java among other myths related to pregnant and nursing mothers. This research is under a descriptively qualitative method supported by field research method along with un-depth interviews in Dawuhan village of Banyumas which is the village where the ancestors of Banyumas was buried. Through field observation and research method of interview to the trusted resource in Dawuhan village was obtained by results of research regarding the myth of pregnant and nursing mothers. This research finds some kinds of myths in relation to recommending and prohibition to perform an action that may harm the fetus, while the myth of breastfeeding mothers mostly prohibition and advice about foods that are consumed by the mother breastfeeding can harm the health of the baby.
