Problem setting. The development of society is constant. New technologies require the formation of skills that affect both professional and domestic activities of people. Employers seek to select employees who will be interested in their professional activities, which will contribute to the personal development of the individual and will have a positive impact on the work of the enterprise.             Recent research and publications analysis. In the works of sociologists, the process of self-development of the individual, which contributes to his promotion by professional ladder, is defined as a "career". The analysis of literature sources shows that over time, the interpretation of this concept changes somewhat, acquires new approaches, but its conceptual essence, however, is not definitively defined. Paper objective. This article aims to define the conceptual meaning of the concepts of “career” and “career strategies” based on the definitions proposed by researchers from different eras.             Paper main body. The analysis allowed to identify two main conceptual approaches to the concept of “career”, according to which the conceptual essence of career is the individual’s desire for professional self-development, which is reflected in his professional activities, on the one hand, and on the other, life - this is a career, so the standard of living and success directly depend on the level of activity of the individual, his desire to develop.             Career strategy is a model of behavior that an individual chooses during professional growth. The literature offers many variations of this definition and classification of models of career strategies, but the most complete and generalized is the classification proposed by E. Shane and the conceptual essence of the concept of “career strategy” is reduced to a conscious choice of behavior by the individual both in the professional sphere and in life in general. Sociological research shows that the model of career strategy is a direct reflection of the behavior and lifestyle of the individual in his professional activities, which affects and determines the rate of career growth. Conclusions of the research. Analysis of scientific publications and scientific works allows to characterize the term “career”, in a conceptual sense, in two perspectives, the first of which is formed on the basis of definitions proposed by the classics of sociology, and characterizes it as a process of professional growth. and from another point of view, which is defined by both foreign and domestic sociologists of the twentieth century, life is a career, it is a continuous movement in a certain direction of professional and personal growth. “Career strategy”, according to the generalized definitions, is a model of an individual's behavior during his movement up the career ladder, which determines the speed of the individual’s development, the ability to succeed in his career and personal life.

Today, a modern aviation specialist needs to have a high level of professional skills, psychophysiological reliability, general culture, skills to work in a team, skills to work with a modern amount of information, non-traditionally approach to solving various extreme situations, as well as to be able to organize professional activities on a prognostic basis. During the information explosion, accompanied by the latest technologies of priority in professional training of cadets, are tasked - to form skills of self-education, to instill the need for self-perfection, to teach the cadets of probable stylish thinking, quick perception of new ideas.Professional and personal development of the future aircraft in educational activities are the requirement of the present. The achievement of this goal is closely linked to the increase of the role of independence of cadets in educational activities. Independent educational activity is capable of determining the success of professional development of future aircrafts. It depends on the level of its development it depends on the formation of subjects of the cadet. Manifesting the independence of cadets in educational activities, their creative independent activity is a major factor in effective professional development. In this approach, the result of independent activity is not only educational tasks, but also formed subjects of the cadet, its ability to solve problem situations independently, reflect, self-motivate and self-regulate their own actions, and thus enrich individual experience in professional growth. To do this, it is necessary to provide relevant pedagogical conditions that will contribute to the independent training activities of future aircrafts. In our opinion, its effectiveness can be provided by adequate adaptation of the educational burden to the individual characteristics of cadets and the formation of an individual algorithm for independent educational activity. The overwhelming majority of modern researchers determine the independence of students in educational activity as quality, the property of the person, which it uses both tools to achieve a certain educational and cognitive goal, and which needs to be purposefully formed. Independence, thus, is the result of this activity. The ability of a person to identify independence in educational independence for its own self-development is an important argument, because through the autonomy of future aircrafts it is possible to intensify the mechanisms of professional self-development.

This article examines the problem of self-relationship of students-psychologists in the process of professionalization, on the basis of correlation and factor analysis is compared two groups of subjects of junior and senior courses with varying degrees of involvement in the professional activities of a psychologist, analyzes the causes and possible results of changes in self-relationship. The article established the following patterns: motivational and semantic mechanisms of self-development assume the impact on the personality of the future specialist through a change in the meaning of activity. Depending on the level of self-fulfillment of the individual, the appropriate dynamic semantic systems were allocated at different stages of the training. External negative motivation, as professionalization begins to correlate more strongly with both self-esteem and global self-relationship. This is a consequence of the abandonment of externally asked forms of activity in favor of the growth of self-determinized motivational tendencies. The role of external evaluation does not decrease, but the tolerance for being in a highly competitive environment increases. Negative external assessments activate the desire to confirm the level of global self-relationship. Factor analysis allowed us to identify an integral complex of "primary professionalization" that combines high resistance to external negative effects on self-esteem, high conceit, as well as professionally important for the psychologist traits of sensitivity and propensity to carefully analyze behavior. The impact on the formation of a professional psychologist during the course of training can be distinguished by how objectively they are, or perceived subjectively significant for students as controlling, informing or amotivating, how much weight their contribution to the formation of internal motivation of the individual. In particular, the study found that changes in self-relationship at different stages of professionalization lead to the development of sensitivity as a factor of empathy, a number of qualities become self-determinized depending on the degree of importance for the future profession.

Purpose The purpose of this article is to introduce micro-credentials as an innovative, personalized professional development modality. With traditional time bound professional development (PD) offering largely whole group instruction with little feedback or a focus on skill mastery, micro-credentials have the ability to develop educator skills, provide relevant content, encourage flexibility, and measure earner mastery. Although relatively new, state leaders and administrators are exploring the use of micro-credentials to improve educator practice at the individual level. Such efforts encourage systems change aligned with new technologies and advancements. Design/methodology/approach This article is designed to review the impetus for the use of micro-credentials in education and the potential this personalized professional development has to change and improve traditional support of educators' professional growth and skill development. We structured the article to first introduce the possibilities micro-credentials (MCs) have in initiating systems change in education. We then define MCs and explore their use in state policy. Additionally, we present the benefits MCs offer and how an individual would select and complete one. To conclude, we connect all elements in the article and emphasize the need for further research and analysis. Findings Findings from our review indicate that 9 states are currently exploring the use of micro-credentials in their state ESSA plans. We recognize that there are several benefits of micro-credentials that make them appealing to state leaders and administrators. These include personalization, competency, flexibility, cost efficiency, and collaboration. It is noted that a large number of organizations are offering micro-credentials and it is most often the responsibility of educators to determine which micro-credentials meet their needs and may be utilized for continuing education credit. Steps in earning micro-credentials are similar across platforms, though content, assessment expectations, and depth vary widely. Originality/value Rapid strides in technology have created change and advancements to societal norms, required workforce skillsets, and personalization. As a result, leaders in education are exploring new and innovative ways to provide professional development to educators. This article will introduce the concept of micro-credentials and explore their focus on personalization, competency-based learning, flexibility and skill development. Individuals interested in shifting the delivery and methodology of traditional PD will be intrigued by the potential micro-credentials offer and the work that is currently being done to explore this PD option.

The model of a modern University is characterized by the formalization of its activities within the framework of implementing specific educational programs through the educational process and focusing on the final result in the form of a competitive specialist. As a result, the universal values, the spirit of participation in the acquisition of new knowledge, which were present in previous generations of universities, are leveled. However, the students’ needs in their personal development remain at the present time. This leads to the search for new forms and the use of new technologies to meet this need. Based on the research, the authors propose a Lectures model as one of these forms, which includes scientific and methodological, practice-oriented and personal-development components. This is where the spirit of the University as an element of Higher education, the tasks of the University as an educational organization to train competitive specialists and the needs of the individual in self-development can be realized. Considering the development of information and educational technologies, it is necessary to apply them actively in the already available instruments of the Higher School. The educational process should become interesting, interactive, covering various aspects of the studied disciplines as much as possible. But at the same time, the educational process should not lose its main purpose - the formation of new knowledge and the upbringing of a socially active and positive personality. Taking into account the development of science and technology it is these two components that the Lectures are directed towards.
