<p>Population growth is a big problem for a country. The number of couple of bearing age who using contraception should be increased in order to deal with this problem. Based on the results of the 2017 Indonesian Health Demographic Survey, the number of couple of bearing age using contraceptives was 57%, and the most widely used type of contraceptive method was the non-Long-Term Contraceptive Method. To increase the use of contraception, it is necessary for health facilities to play a role not only as providers of contraception, but also as providers of promotive and preventive services, so that couple of bearing age can rationally choose the contraception to be used as needed. This research aimed to discover the relationship between contraceptive service sources and the modern contraceptive method used by couple of bearing age.</p><p>This research used the secondary data from the 2018 Program Performance and Accountability Survey of Population, Family Planning, and Family Development (abbreviated<em> SKAP-KKBPK</em> in Indonesia), using the cross-sectional research design and the Chi-square bivariate analysis. The population used in this research was all couple of bearing age in Indonesia who becomes responden in SKAP-KKBPK, which were 60.599 couples, and the samples were all couple of bearing age who used modern contraception, which were 26,776 couples. The analysis results showed that there was a relationship between the contraceptive service sources and the contraceptive method used by the reproductive couples, shown by the <em>p</em>-value = 0.000. As many as 76.9% preferred to use the non-MKJP contraception. The respondents who used the non-MKJP contraception were more likely to visit the private contraception service sources (85.9%), while those who used the MKJP contraception were more likely to visit the state-owned (government) contraception service sources (52.6%).<strong></strong></p>

ABSTRACT Background: Based on RISKESDAS data from 2007, 2013, and 2018, the prevalence of injuries in Indonesia had increased from 7.5%, 8.2%, and 9.2% respectively. In 2018, the proportion of injuries ranked 12th place in morbidity in Indonesia with the highest cases in Central Sulawesi Province (13.8%). This study aimed to determine of injury incidents in the productive aged groups in Central Sulawesi. Subjects and Method: This was a cross-sectional design conducted in Central Sulawesi from October 2019 to January 2020. A total of 1,323 reproductive-aged household members was selected by random sampling method. The dependent variable was the incident of injury. The independent variables were age, gender, level of education, employment status, and nutritional status. The data were collected from secondary data of basic health research data in 2018 with household dan individual questionnaires. Bivariate analysis was performed by chi-square method. Results: The bivariate analysis showed that the incidence of injury among the productive aged groups increased with age (OR= 1.50; 95% CI= 1.10 to 2.05; p= 0.021), gender (OR= 1.29; 95% CI= 1.03 to 1.62; p=0.030), level of education (OR= 2.01; 95% CI= 1.14 to 3.56; p= 0.010), employment status (OR= 1.86; 95% CI= 1.19 to 2.90; p= 0.005), and nutritional status (OR= 0.77; 95% CI= 0.55 to 1.07; p= 0.033). Conclusion: The incidence of injury among the productive aged groups increases with age, gender, level of education, employment status, and nutritional status. ObjectivesOut-of-pocket (OOP) payment for modern contraception is an understudied component of healthcare financing in countries like Kenya, where wealth gradients in met need have prompted efforts to expand access to free contraception. This study aims to examine whether, among public sector providers, the poor are more likely to receive free contraception and to compare how OOP payment for injectables and implants—two popular methods—differs by public/private provider type and user’s sociodemographic characteristics.Design, setting and participantsSecondary analyses of nationally representative, cross-sectional household data from the 2014 Kenya Demographic and Health Survey. Respondents were women of reproductive age (15–49 years). The sample comprised 5717 current modern contraception users, including 2691 injectable and 1073 implant users with non-missing expenditure values.Main outcomeRespondent’s self-reported source and payment to obtain their current modern contraceptive method.MethodsWe used multivariable logistic regression to examine predictors of free public sector contraception and compared average expenditure for injectable and implant. Quintile ratios examined progressivity of non-zero expenditure by wealth.ResultsHalf of public sector users reported free contraception; this varied considerably by method and region. Users of implants, condoms, pills and intrauterine devices were all more likely to report receiving their method for free (p<0.001) compared with injectable users. The poorest were as likely to pay for contraception as the wealthiest users at public providers (OR: 1.10, 95% CI: 0.64 to 1.91). Across all providers, among users with non-zero expenditure, injectable and implant users reported a mean OOP payment of Kenyan shillings (KES) 80 (US$0.91), 95% CI: KES 78 to 82 and KES 378 (US$4.31), 95% CI: KES 327 to 429, respectively. In the public sector, expenditure was pro-poor for injectable users yet weakly pro-rich for implant users.ConclusionsMore attention is needed to targeting subsidies to the poorest and ensuring government facilities are equipped to cope with lost user fee revenue.

Background: The use of modern contraceptives in Central Java tends to decrease while traditional methods are increasing. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the use of traditional contraceptives among currently married women aged 15-49 in Central Java Province. The factors discussed include the number of children born alive, wife's age, wife's education, wife's occupation, residence, and access/utilization of family planning information sources.Method: The research design was cross-sectional, used secondary data from the Central Java SKAP 2019. The total number of respondents was 2.088 married women aged 15-49 years and not currently pregnant. Data collected by interview using a structured questionnaire. Data analysis with univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using the chi-square statistical test with a significance level of 5%.Results: The research found that most respondents were ≥ 35 years old, having ≥ 2 children, having high education level (senior high school to higher education), not working, living in the cities, and able to use some media to find information about family planning. The related factors to the use of traditional contraceptive methods were education and residences. The number of live birth children, ages, jobs, and the use of media did not influence the use of the traditional contraceptive method.

Introduction: The coverage of MKJP were 6.99% (implants), 7.15% (IUD), 2.78% (MOW), and 0.53% (MOP) indicating the use of MKJP contraceptive methods in Indonesia decreased from the previous year (RI Ministry of Health, 2018). The low use of MKJP has been a cause of stagnation in birth rates over the past decade. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between service costs, husband support and fear of action against the use of long-term contraception methods at the Umi Rahma Clinic in Bekasi in 2019 Method: Using descriptive analytic design with Cross Sectional approach. The study population was all EFA women who performed family planning at the Umi Rahma Clinic in Bekasi in 2019, a sample of 50 respondents using the Accidental Sampling technique using a questionnaire. This study uses univariate and bivariate analysis with Chi-Square statistical tests Result: . Chi-Square statistical test results service costs for the use of MKJP obtained P-Value 0.002, support for the husband of the use of MKJP obtained P-Value 0.001, fear action against the use of MKJP obtained P-Value 0.001. Discussion: Long-Term Contraception Methods, because costs greatly affect all actions that will be taken by couples of childbearing age, one of which is in the selection or decision-making on the use of contraceptive methods. In conclusion there is a relationship between service costs , husband support and fear of action towards the use of MKJP.

The rate of growth population (LPP) becomes the main problem that is being faced by Indonesia today, one of them was East Java Province which increased 0.06 in 2000–2010 from 1990–2000 period. One effort to control LPP was family planning program by using contraception, especially Intra Uterine Device (IUD) to regulate the distance of pregnancy and to regulate birth spacing. Achievements of new Long Term Contraception Method (MKJP) acceptors especially IUD tend to decrease from 2013 to 2015 in Surabaya. The achievement of the proportion of new IUD acceptors in 2016 in Pusyan Gatra decreased by 6% became 34% from 2015 which is 40%. This study aimed to know and analyze the variables associated with the use of IUD in Pusyan Gatra in 2016 by using chi-square test. This research was an analytic quantitative research with cross-sectional design. This research data source were a new acceptor secondary data of MKJP in 2016. Population in this research were 270 new acceptors of MKJP from January to December 2016. The independent variables were age, educational level, employment status, and parity. The results from chi – square test were age (p = 0.002) and parity (p = 0.001) which related to IUD. Level of education and employment status of acceptors had no significant relationship with IUD in Pusyan Gatra. Therefore, the couple of reproductive (PUS) were >35 years old who had parity >2 and not using long–term contraception method yet, the counseling about using MKJP such as IUD must be improved.

The underweight still remains a public health problem for toddlers in Indonesia. The purpose of the study to identify the factors related to the underweight incident for toddlers at 24-59 months in urban and rural areas of Indonesia. This research used cross-sectional study design. This study used secondary data on the Total Diet Study-Individual Food Consumption Survey of 2014. The sample size in this study was 5165 toddlers from 24-59 months and distinguished by urban and rural areas. Bivariate Analysis used chi square. This study estimates that 20.3% of children aged 24-59 months were underweight with a greater proportion in rural areas 22.5%. Significant factors related to the underweight incidence in the urban and rural areas were the father's education level (urban; p = 0.02 and rural; p = 0.005) and mother’s education level (urban; p = 0.001 and rural; p = 0.005), number of household members (urban; p = 0.03 and rural; p = 0.012), and energy adequacy level (urban; p = 0.012 and rural; p = 0.005). The factor that was estimated to be significantly related to the underweight incidence just in rural areas as children’s age (p = 0.012), the total number of children in one house (p = 0.047). Multisectoral collaboration is needed to reduce nutritional problems, especially in rural areas. The efforts to improve community nutrition by improving the socio-economic condition of the community should be based on regional capabilities and local wisdom in the region.
