The use of social media for public institutions during the covid-19 pandemic is a necessity. In its use, social media brings both opportunities and challenges at the same time. Monitoring and evaluation of the use of social media for institutions finds the right time to be implemented immediately. This study aims to describe the types of content uploaded on the social media of the archive of UGM during the covid-19 pandemic and to describe the opportunities and challenges of using social media during the covid-19 pandemic at the archive of UGM. This research is a combination of qualitative and literature research. Primary data was collected through observations on uploading the Archive of UGM Instagram account (@arsipugm). Data collection on uploads in the last three months (September-November 2020). The data were verified with secondary data obtained through documentation in scientific publications and information channels related to the Archive of UGM. Data analysis was conducted by reducing the findings from the observation and documentation process. Data were presented in the form of tables, figures and narration. The results of this study indicate that during the covid-19 pandemic there were only two types of uploads from @arsipugm. They are archival material and reports. The percentage of uploads with archived material was 89.29% and report-type uploads was 10.71%. The use of social media for the archive of UGM during the covid-19 pandemic finds its opportunities, includes: socialization of archival services during the covid-19 pandemic; cooperation between unit and parent institutional accounts; and creative media uploads. Meanwhile, at the same time it has some challenges, includes: unoptimal use of Instagram's features; lack of interaction between the admin and the audience; the variant and volume of uploaded material has not been maximized; and monotone time lines.

The chapter assesses the social media usage by tourists during their visit to religious tourism destinations and evaluates rationale and challenges faced by religious tourism establishments and other stakeholders in using social media as tools for marketing of religious tourism. The study used secondary data sources for getting a theoretical understanding of social media and religious tourism. Primary data conveniently collected through field survey from tourists and tourism establishment at religious tourism destination to know the extent of social media usage. The chapter indicating increased use of social media by tourists in searching, planning, booking, and sharing experiences about different products and services. The study identifies a crucial role of social media in the marketing and development of religious tourism along with certain challenges related to using as a mechanism to promote destination. Finally, implication and recommendations for different stakeholders were given to ensure adequate presence on social in more effective manner.

Purpose: The main purpose of the study is to illustrate the use of social media in election marketing in Bangladesh and to identify how social media is changing voting behavior of voters. Social media marketing involves the use of online social media tools—such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn—to reach voters in innovative ways. In previous years, traditional media play a significant role in creating awareness among people, but over a period of time social media becomes an important marketing tool which not only aware people but also help to attract them in election marketing Methodology: The researchers use ‘Quant-Qual design’ for this research. Related articles, books etc. are reviewed for gathering secondary data. Convenience sampling method has been used to collect primary data from 120 registered voters. Findings: The study has found that social media efficacy within voters create voting awareness and political knowledge and change their mentality towards politics and make them aware about their voting right. The best summary of this research is that social media build a relationship between politicians and people through online campaign that helps to generate public trust for the politicians. Research Limitations: The main limitation of this study is that some of the people are not comfortable to give their comments on this survey because of the political content. It limits the validity of the research. Practical Implications: Study will help both voters and politicians in national election as well as all types of election taking place in any organization like schools, colleges, banks, universities in Bangladesh and all over the world. Originality: The study cites the present situation of using social media in election marketing in Bangladesh. Study also provides guidelines about the future effectiveness of the social media in Bangladeshi election and its impact on voting behavior.

Purpose The diffusion of social media among public administrations has significantly grown in the last years. This phenomenon has created a field of research that seeks to understand the adoption and impact of social media in the public sector. The purpose of this paper is to identify the factors that make social media successful in Spanish local governments. Design/methodology/approach The paper is based on an adapted version of a neo-institutional model: Enacting Electronic Government Success (EEGS). The data have been collected through three main sources: primary data from a questionnaire designed and conducted by the authors, secondary data of statistical sources, and tertiary data collected through Klout Score. Findings The results from a survey and statistical analysis provide preliminary validation of the model and show a direct relationship between organizational, institutional, and environmental factors with the successful use of social media in local public administrations. The data analysis shows that ten variables jointly explain 54.6 percent (adjusted R2=0.546) of the variability observed in the dependent variable. Research limitations/implications First, the analysis model used represents a limited sample size to carry out a complex quantitative analysis. Second, the use of Klout Scores can offer some bias. Finally, certain variables complicate the comparative potential of the study. Originality/value This study provides original primary data and contributes to the growing field of study related to social technologies in public administrations. This research also confirms in an exploratory way the validity of the EEGS model.

This study aims to reveal the philosophical values of Islamic law in the three ethical codes of NetizMu Muhammadiyah. This research is a literature review. The type of Islamic legal research in this study is a philosophical normative Islamic law research with an Islamic legal philosophy approach. The primary data source of this research, namely the NetizMU Muhammadiyah code of ethics), and secondary data using various relevant scientific researches. The theory used is a systems philosophy approach in Islamic law initiated by Jasser Auda.. This study concludes that there are values ​​of Islamic law philosophy in the three NetizMU codes of ethics. First, the value of religious protection (hifz al-din) in the context of making the prophetic social values ​​of religion the main basis for the code of ethics for the use of social media. Second, the value of public benefit (al-maslahat al-ammah) in the code of ethics for the use of social media as a medium for humanization (amar makruf) and liberation (nahi munkar). Third, the value of intellectual protection (hifz al-'aql) in the context of a code of ethics limiting freedom of expression, both in the form of information and communication on social media.

The use of social media as an alternative medium to communicate marketing messages is increasingly massive. In the landscape of the contemporary marketing industry that is commonly called content marketing. But the use of this medium is not always use the right strategy. The strategy in this context is content strategy. The result, this process does not show the expected results. One of them is that there is no significant brand awareness among audiences. Even though the use of marketing content appropriately can produce a very obvious engagament brand. Therefore it is always interesting to observe the content strategy used by a brand, then see if the strategy used is appropriate to the intended goal or not. Likewise with the marketing activities that Pasar Papringan tries to do through the Instagram account @PasarPapringan. In this study the author will examine the marketing content of social media Instagram accounts Pasar Papringan. The research method used in this study is qualitative research. Meanwhile, the type of research used in this study is descriptive research that systematically describes facts or characteristics of certain populations in a factual and careful manner. From here the author will see whether the social media marketing content has been produced according to its purpose or not. The results of the study show that the content strategy chosen by the Pasar Papringan account is informative only, and this not relevant to the audience. The relevance of the content will be obtained if Pasar Papringan does a deeper profiling to the audience and explore themes that are relevant to the Pasar Papringan itself, like culinary, culture, dan peoples around Pasar Papringan. Pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai medium alternatif untuk mengomunikasikan pesan-pesan pemasaran semakin masif. Dalam lanskap industri marketing kontemporer ini yang lazim disebut konten marketing. Namun pemanfaatan medium ini tidak selalu dibarengi pemilihan strategi yang tepat. Strategi yang dimaksud adalah strategi konten. Akibatnya komunikasi yang dilakukan tidak memperlihatkan hasil yang memuaskan. Salah satunya adalah tidak terlihatnya brand engagament secara signifikan. Padahal pemanfaatan konten marketing secara tepat dapat menghasilkan brand engagament yang sangat kentara. Oleh sebab itu selalu menarik untuk mengamati strategi konten yang digunakan oleh sebuah brand, lalu melihat apakah startegi yang digunakan telah sesuai atau tepat denga tujuan yang diharapkan. Begitu juga dengan aktivitas marketing yang dicoba dilakukan oleh Pasar Papringan melalui akun Instagram @PasarPapringan. Dalam penelitian ini penulis akan meneliti konten marketing media sosial akun Instagram Pasar Papringan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Sedangkan, jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian yang sifatnya deskriptif yang menggambarkan secara sistematis fakta atau karakteristik populasi tertentu secara faktual dan cermat. Dari sini penulis akan melihat apakah konten marketing media sosial tersebut telah diproduksi sesuai tujuannya atau belum. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan strategi konten yang dipilih oleh akun Pasar Papringan masih bersifat informatif, dan belum relevan dengan audiens. Relevansi konten akan diperoleh jika Pasar Papringan dapat melihat lebih dalam profil audiens dan mengeksplorasi tema-tema yang relevan dengan Pasar Papringan itu sendiri, seperti kuliner, kebudayaan, orang-orang yang ada di seputar Pasar Papringan.

ABSTRACT The objective of this research is to reveal the meaning of Covid-19 memes in social media using study of Roland Barthes semiology. In addition, this research also explains the social representation in Covid-19 memes. The method of the research is qualitative descriptive using technical analysis of Roland Barthes semiology. The technique of collecting data is based on two resources. The primary data are collections of memes about Covid 19 in some social media, such as Instagram, Facebook, and Web Blog. The secondary data are references supporting the topic of the research. In validity technique, the primary data are collected based on the topic of the discussion. After that, the data are processed descriptively by explaining, and comparing the information gained from many resources. Then, the data are reduced and presented. The result of the study shows that the creators tried to reveal social condition through Covid-19 memes. The social conditions were presented in some types of memes, namely critical memes, parodist memes, and motivational memes. The purchaser mindfulness and inspiration kept on driving change in the market place, strikingly through the presentation of more eco- friendly products.  This study deals with eco-friendly products and its impact on social media.  In this scenario social media had emerged as a platform of electronic communication through sharing of knowledge, ideas and user generated contents through networking and blogging. It tries to assess how different level of perceived feeling from usage influence the impact of advertisements through social media, blogs, peer opinion via social networking and products update towards making green purchase decisions of the consumers.  With respect to this, buyers are assuming liability and doing the right things. Customer frame of mind and inspiration keep on driving change in market place, outstandingly through the presentation of more eco- friendly products.  This paper analyses the consumer attitude towards eco-friendly products both directly and indirectly.  In this paper both primary and secondary data were collected. Structured questionnaires were used to collect primary data from the consumers through questionnaires.  The secondary data was collected from website and reports.  For statistical analyses, SPSS used and Statistical tools like (i.e.) percentage analysis, ANOVA, Correlation and ‘z’ test were applied.  The findings were based on the Research hypothesis, demographic profile and various dimensions of consumer attitude towards eco-friendly products.  Suggestions and Conclusion are based on these findings.

This research is based on widespread use of social media as an image for all people and as well as provides benefits for a company. The large number of social media users makes an American travel site provides reviews about travel related content and this includes reviews of restaurants. Hence, this study discusses the case study of TripaAdvisor's review of the five best restaurants in Bali. With various forms of benefits regarding the benefits of information from TripAdvisor, online reviews from consumers in promoting restaurants and consumer reviews in enhancing the image of a restaurant. The research method used is content analysis method to review from five restaurants, the variables were the value of Food, Service, Value and Atmosphere from these five restaurants and ranked five restaurants through an assessment of consumer reviews on TripAdvisor. The data source is through primary data and secondary data, namely through TripAdvisor. The description of this research is to look at every consumer online review on TripAdvisor, by choosing five of the best TripAdvisor restaurants in Bali and taking 50 consumer reviews from the top five TripAdvisor restaurants in Bali to see the benefits of these consumer reviews in promoting and improving the image of these five restaurants. The results of this study indicate that TripAdvisor is very useful in providing information to restaurants and with consumer reviews can be a tool for restaurant's promotion and able to enhance the image of a restaurant. This study describes an overview of the use of social media as a management marketing strategy at Madrasah Aliyah Yayasan Pondok Pesantren Babakan Jamanis. The benefits of social media as a marketing tool in the world of education in the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution are the right choice because it is increasingly accessible to various groups. This research is qualitative research with data collection methods through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results show that the social media-based educational marketing strategy management is used, namely: Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube by first identifying in the community which then becomes an educational marketing strategy by highlighting the achievements of these institutions. The management of private education, supported by stakeholders and adequate facilities has provided a distinctive feature and strength in the management of educational marketing strategies at Madrasah Aliyah Yayasan Pondok Pesantren Babakan Jamanis.

Abstract—This study aims to find out about the phubbing phenomenon as a degradation of social relations as a result of social media. The term phubbing is an abbreviation of the words phone and snubbing, which are used to show the attitude of hurting the other person by using an excessive smartphone. This type of research used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The data needed in this study are qualitative data as primary data in the form of images, words and not numbers in a discourse regarding the phubbing phenomenon as a degradation of social relations as a result of social media. Based on the results of the research, it is found that phubbing behavior can threaten the disruption of ongoing communication relationships, causing social degradation. The social degradation that occurs is due to the impact of phubbing perpetrators' indifference to their environment because they are too busy using smartphones, especially in the use of social media. Therefore it is necessary to limit and control the use of social media properly so that the phubbing phenomenon can be resolved immediately and the degradation of social relations does not occur. Keywords: phubbing, degradation, social relation, social media   Abstrak—Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang tentang fenomena phubbing sebagai suatu degradasi relasi sosial sebagai dampak dari media sosial. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data yang dibutuhkan dalam penelitian ini merupakan data kualitatif sebagai data primer berupa gambar, kata-kata dan bukan angka-angka dalam sebuah wacana mengenai fenomena phubbing sebagai suatu degradasi relasi sosial sebagai dampak dari media sosial. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa perilaku phubbing mampu mengancam terganggunya hubungan komunikasi yang sedang berlangsung, sehingga menyebabkan degradasi sosial. Degradasi sosial yang terjadi ialah karena dampak dari keacuhan pelaku phubbing terhadap lingkungannya karena terlalu sibuk menggunakan smartphone, terlebih dalam penggunaan media sosial. Oleh karena itu penggunaan media sosial perlu dibatasi dan dikontrol dengan baik agar fenomena phubbing dapat segera teratasi dan degradasi relasi sosial tidak terjadi.
