The tourism trend in which culinary tourism is one of the favorite tourist attractions that is favored provides opportunities for areas that have distinctive culinary delights, Pesisir Selatan is one of the areas that has traditional culinary specialties which if developed will become one of the tourist attractions. This study aims to see whether the culinary specialties of Pesisir Selatan Rendang Lokan has the potential to be developed as a tourist attraction. This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach, using Damanik and Weber's theory of uniqueness, originality, authenticity and diversity and is supported by Yoeti's theory of tourist attraction, namely having something to see, something to do and something to buy. Data collection was carried out by interview and observation. The results showed that Rendang Lokan has the potential to be developed as a tourist attraction. This can be seen from the uniqueness of its taste, its originality and consistency in the use of the same ingredients that has not changed since the past, its authenticity in the traditional manufacturing process, and its diversity on its flavors. As a tourist attraction, Rendang Lokan also meets the criteria of "Something to be seen" which is the process of making and processing ingredients and spices. It also has "Something to do" which is being able to involve tourists to join in cooking Rendang Lokan, and also "Something to buy" which acts as a souvenir.

Cirebon has a variety of popular tourist attractions such as the Kasepuhan Palace for cultural / historical tourism, the tomb of Sunan Gunung Djati for religious tourism, the Batik Trusmi tourist area for shopping tourism, and many restaurants that provide local food for culinary tourism. As such, Cirebon has a diverse image as a tourist destination. But efforts to measure the image of Cirebon as a tourist destination empirically have never been undertaken. This research was conducted to fill the lack of empirical studies on the image of Cirebon as a tourist destination. This study uses a qualitative approach to provide opportunities for respondents to freely express their opinions. Data collection was conducted via semi-structured interviews of 400 domestic tourists. Data were processed by listing the words and calculated the percentage of frequency of occurrence. The results show that Cirebon is perceived as a destination for historical tourism, culinary and batik shopping. The respondents were found to feel happy, comfortable and enthusiastic when traveling to Cirebon. The palace (keraton), Sunyaragi cave and Batik Trusmi tourist areas are perceived as Cirebon’s unique destinations. This study aims to identify local wisdom in Green Village Gedangsari, Gunungkidul Regency. This research uses qualitative method with combined data collection technique, there are observation, interview, and documentation. Some invention that have been identified as the findings of this research are (1) Tourism development in Green Village Gedangsari; (2) Some of the taboos that local people believe; (3) Local culinary; (4) The place of the sacred; (5) Nyadran and Rosulan Traditions; and (6) 4G development plan by Gedangsari community. This research project is being studied at kutai kartanegara district by tourist attraction kumala island. The purpose of writing this essay is to identify and describe the management of tourism services in kumala district kutai kartandistrict and also to identify the obstacles -- obstacles which the tourism service deals with in kumala island tourist management in kab. Kutai Kartanegara. The focus of the study in this study is of attraction, ability, facilities and obstacles faced by the tourism service in the management of kumala island tourist attractions at kab. Kutai Kartanegara.The kind of research used is qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques are done in literature and field research consisting of observations, interviews, and documentaries, whereas the informants who were taken purposive sampling and accidental sampling.Studies show that the tourism service has achieved management according to its duties and functions in managing the tourist attractions of island kumala, this is indicated by implementation of the 3 (3) indicators taken from its service one area of the tourism service that they are partly accomplishing, But they have constraints that are, in fact, the lack of budget that's keeping them in the sense that their management is somehow hampered and not maximum.

Kabupaten Toba Samosir memiliki banyak tinggalan arkeologi dan sejarah yang belum digali dan diteliti bahkan ada yang tidak diketahui oleh masyarakat luas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendata tinggalan arkeologi dan sejarah yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai objek wisata. Penulisan penelitian ini menggunakan metode sejarah dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif analitis dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang menjabarkan dengan detail permasalahan terkait serta menggunakan studi pustaka untuk mendapatkan bahan yang relevan dan berkaitan yang juga diperoleh melalui jurnal ilmiah maupun buku-buku. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan study observasi dengan mengamati secara langsung tinggalan-tinggalan sejarah dan arkeologi tersebut Hasil-hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa tinggalan arkeologi dan sejarah pada Kabupaten Toba Samosir tersebut dapat dimanfaatkannya untuk berbagai kepentingan, yang dapat memberikan kesejahteraan bagi masyarakat setempat dan Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD) pada umumnya, dan Kabupaten Toba Samosir pada khususnya.   Toba Samosir Regency has many archeological and historical remains that have not been explored and researched and some are even unknown to the wider community. The purpose of this study is to record archeological and historical remains that can be used as tourist attractions. The writing of this research uses the historical method by using a descriptive analytical research type with a qualitative approach that describes in detail the related problems and uses literature studies to obtain relevant and related material which is also obtained through scientific journals and books. Data collection techniques using observational studies by directly observing the historical and archeological remains, the results of the discussion show that the archeological and historical relics in Toba Samosir Regency can be used for various purposes, which can provide prosperity for the local community and Own-Source Revenue (PAD) in general, and Toba Samosir Regency in particular.

This study examines how the process of inventory activities carried out by the Department of Tourism. The purpose of this study is to find out how the tourism inventory process is carried out by the Department of Tourism and what tourism is contained in Ngebel District. Inventory is an activity carried out to collect data, record and report the results of data collection of state property. The data collection process is carried out by interviewing the Department of Tourism, Local Government and Tourism Managers. The material obtained from interviews was then analyzed and concluded. It can be concluded that many tourism potentials are owned by Ngebel District and the Tourism Office has a standard that is to have a tourist attraction, has adequate facilities and infrastructure, the existence of culinary tourism in these objects. Inventory of tourism potential activities carried out by the Department of Tourism in each field through various stages.

As of today, quinine plants are still found in the Bukit Unggul Plantation, Bandung Regency, which is part of PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII. Quinine is processed in the processing plant located in Bukit Unggul. In general, people have known quinine as an anti-malarial drug in which the ingredients were taken from the bark of the quinine tree trunk, afterward it becomes waste. In the past, quinine waste was used as firewood and building material for offices, factories, and homes for plantation worker. In its development, there were those who use quinine waste to make furniture to meet their own needs. The results showed that the previous idea of using quinine waste inspired people in the future to utilize and develop quinine waste into furniture, in a sense of worth-selling furniture. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the utilization of quinine waste in the past and its development. This is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data collection was carried out using interview, observation, and documentation studies. The conclusion of the study is that the discourse about quinine became widespread, not only limited to medicine, but also building materials and crafts.

This research was conducted based on the findings of archaeological remains in Subak Bubunan Sukawati rice field by the community in 2014 when cutting down the banyan tree. After doing data collection and description, it is followed by a more in-depth discussion, which aims to know the functions and meanings for the community. The data collection in this research is done using observation method, interview, and literature study through qualitative approach which then analyzed using functional theory and semiotics theory. The results show the function of the past and present archaeological remains in Subak Bubunan Sukawati based on the mythology, origin, and community activities are not completely the same, and some have changed the function. Meaning of Archaeological Remains in Subak Bubunan Sukawati is known based on the signs they have such as decoration (attributes), mythology, and community activities in utilizing the archaeological remains. Some of the meanings that are successfully examined are the meaning of fertility, the meaning of power, and the meaning of religion. Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan atas temuan tinggalan arkeologi di kawasan sawah Subak Bubunan Sukawati oleh masyarakat pada tahun 2014 ketika menebang pohon beringin. Tinggalan arkeologi yang telah dilakukan pendataan maupun pendeskripsian ini dilanjutkan dengan pembahasan lebih mendalam, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui fungsi dan maknaannya bagi masyarakat. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, serta studi kepustakaan melalui pendekatan kualitatif yang selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan teori fungsional dan teori semiotika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan fungsi masa lampau dan sekarang tinggalan arkeologi di Subak Bubunan Sukawati berdasarkan atas mitologi, asal usul, dan aktivitas masyarakat tidak seutuhnya sama, bahkan ada yang mengalami perubahan fungsi. Makna Tinggalan arkeologi di Subak Bubunan Sukawati diketahui berdasarkan tanda-tanda yang dimilikinya seperti hiasan (atribut), mitologi, dan aktivitas masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan tinggalan arkeologi tersebut. Beberapa makna yang berhasil ditelisik adalah makna kesuburan, makna kekuasaan, dan makna religi.

Tourist attraction is a destination place for recreation on weekends or holidays. One of tourist attractions in Bandung is Kampung Batu Malaksari as a case of this study. With the theme 'Education Tourism', visitors are expected to enjoy the beauty of nature as well as get the knowledge. However, visitors cannot recognize the visual identity of the tourist attraction because it is not aligned with the theme. Moreover, the lack of signage that provides information in text and visual presentation of directions to the place, directory map, prohibitory, and warning that makes visitors confused and often lost to the tourist area. Therefore, the visual identity and its application to signage is considered necessary. Data collection methods used were observations, interviews and questionnaires using matrix analysis as a method of analysis. The purpose of this study is expected to create a strong visual identity that shows educational tourism as well as informative signage. This case study is expected to improve the visual appeal inherent in the visitor's mind. Keywords: educational tourism; signage; visual identity

<p class="Abstract"><em>Brumbun hot springs which located in Lamongan regency has the potential of hot springs that emerge from the bowels of the earth so it will never be running out. The lack of attention from the government and communities make the condition of the tourist attractions of Brumbun hot springs becomes inaccessible and might causes damage for it’s existing and natural facilities. Besides, the lack of activities variant also makes less visitors. With the support of the regency government through spatial and regional plans, it is designed a development of natural attractions in order to improve the existence of a tourist attraction and the optimization of Brumbun’s natural potential. The method used is descriptive qualitative method with case study through stages of idea exploration, data collection through observation, interview, and ecological architecture literature, then through analysis phase with precedent study and supporting data consisting of physical condition of tourist object and government regulations related to tourism object development. The result of the analysis is in the form of four applied elements of wind as an ecological architectural aspect of the building, ie roof pond with open pond system, nako rooster, vertical garden with structural media, and cross ventilation.</em></p><p class="Abstract"><em><br /></em></p>

Ciwidey Valley Resort which is Tirta Tourism located in Ciwidey Tourism Area Precisely on KM.17 Road Barununggal Rancabali Bandung Regency, West Java is an artificial Tourism Area built in 2015 provides complete facilities for tourists who want to visit tourist locations including water warm water park, play ground, unique lodging, camping ground and ciwidey valley restaurant.The aim of this research is to find out how to develop Ciwidey Valley attractions in an effort to increase tourist visits that have an impact on Ciwidey Valley managers' income and regional budget revenues.The methods used by researchers in this study include descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach. Researchers use the development model according to Syamsu (2011) While the data collection techniques that the authors use in this study are the study of literature / documentation, observation, and interviews. Whereas the data validity technique uses triangulation.The initial step taken is to analyze the internal and external environment to find out how the service efforts provided in carrying out services and processes in carrying out tasks in the implementation of work processes. After that researchers also analyzed by interviewing with informants who have been determined previously to find out how the service and how the process of service provided by all workers in Ciwidey Valley Resort to visitorsThis research can be concluded by the researchers, that in an effort to increase the number of tourist arrivals by developing several tourist attractions supported by improving services but not all are optimal.
