The love for theater ABSTRACT:In this article, we address how cultural and artistic practices - in this case, the theater - transforms people. We engaged a “pluralistic” research approach (Heinich, 2006) based on a survey, questionnaires, and in-depth interviews with undergraduate students (Universidade La Salle Brazil) and with Juçara Gaspar, author and artist of the piece “Frida Khalo: towards revolution”. Before attending the play, students were concerned about the usefulness of the proposal, since their leisure time is restricted. Afterwards, they stated interest in watching the play again. In the in-depth interview with Juçara Gaspar, we identified an organized narrative from a series of events leading to a successful career. From this narrative point of view, we suggest that the passion for theater does not happen unexpectedly, from a single moment, but from a series of meaningful events. In this sense, also propose that these meaningful events that promote passion for theater are responsible for the continuity of theater and other artistic and cultural practices. Keywords: theater; cultural practices; pluralistic research approach; Frida Kahlo; Juçara Gaspar.

Purpose – The purpose of this research is to provide a deeper, constructivist account of multi-brand loyalty. Previous literature has acknowledged the existence of multi-brand loyalty, but described it from a narrow, rational and primarily utilitarian point of view. Design/methodology/approach – The study is based on open-ended, depth interviews. Data were labeled, coded and classified into different topics, and thematic analysis was used to identify three dominant themes. Findings – Multi-brand loyalty emerged in three forms: biased, specialized and perfect substitutes. These relationships may undergo dynamic transformations over time. Further, family tradition and perceived freedom were identified as two important motivations for consumers to be loyal to more than one brand. The managerial implications address suggestions on how companies can avoid that consumers become loyal to several brands instead of maintaining single-brand loyalty. Originality/value – The study is the first to address multi-brand loyalty based on a qualitative research approach and provides preliminary insights into occurrences and motivations related to the construct.

Since the early '90s, interest in the internationalization has been growing not only among businessmen and investors, but also among academics researchers like Goulart (1996) point out that the internationalization not only the firm interacts in some way with the international environment, but also considers the effects reflected by the external environment in national companies. Thus this paper aims to present the profile os Santa Catarina textile companies internationalized under the light of internationalization behavioral approaches, which aim to explain the process of internationalization by the influence of the perceptions of executives and entrepreneurs, which would take its decisions in a context of rationality limited search and risk minimization (CARNEIRO, 2007) the research approach is qualitative and is considered from the point of view, a descriptive exploratory study. Data collection consisted of in-depth interviews with six entrepreneurs from four textile companies that have operations in the international market. The interviews were carried out from August to October 2010. By the perception that it had the history of business growth and their involvement in the international market, especially in the last decade, we see that the environment offered more threats than opportunities. It seems that companies are not increasing their involvement with the international market for exports and imports but compared to the initial movement of engagement with the international market occurred in the 70 and 80.

Since 1991 Ethiopia has made a change in thinking favoring federalism against the centralized hierarchical power to radically respond to the problem of diversity and better recognize and accommodate the country's ethnolinguistic and cultural diversity. Paradoxically, Ethiopia had experienced more ethnic-based conflict in its post-1991 existence than ever before. Among others, the Somali-Oromo conflict is the worst ethnic-based conflict in the country’s history. Though the two communities, have a long tradition of co-existence and strong socio-cultural integrations due to their shared Muslim-Cushitic identity, economic interdependence, and shared cultural practices; antagonistic relationships, and intermittent conflicts due to resource competition, territorial expansion, bad governance, and other factors have prevailed in the last three decades. It is the objective of this paper, therefore, to investigate and analyze factors of ethnic conflict along the shared border of the Somali and Oromia regional administrations, specifically Bable and Bobas districts, within the context of Ethiopian federalism. Methodologically, the study employed a comparative research approach and made use of key informant interview and survey questionnaires' techniques in gathering the relevant data, and in effect, both qualitative and quantitative data interpretation and analysis methods were utilized in the analysis section. The findings of this study demonstrate that the Somali-Oromo conflict is complex & dynamics and the result of the interplay of historical, institutional/structural/political, economic, socio-cultural, and environmental factors. Furthermore, the result of the study reveals that major drivers of ethnic conflict in both areas are similar.

AbstractCrucial issues with religius education teachers (GPA) policies are related to coaching, career development, welfare and recruitment. This research approach is qualitative with descriptive type. Data collection uses in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document studies. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of GPA policies on the four problems above, problems and solutions. The informants of this study were the Kasi at the Education Office, the Head of the Provincial Government, the Head of the Division and the Kasi at the Ministry of Religion, PA Supervisors and PA Teachers. The results showed that the GPA guidance policy was not optimal due to funding constraints, the limited number of supervisors covering very large coverage areas. Regarding career development, GPAs experience difficulties in writing scientific papers and require seminars or competency tests when they are promoted from IV / A to IV / B. Regarding welfare, non-PNS GPAs are constrained from participating in certification and inpassing because they have to include a decree from the Mayor / Regent and GPA who have not been certified due to limited quota There are three types of religious teachers in schools, namely those appointed by the Ministry of Religion, the Regional Government, and the Education Office, where the GPA data is always different and there is no coordination. In order to meet the lack of GPA in schools, the Ministry of Religion needs to appoint GTT religious teachers or contract teachers who are funded by the APBN, just as the Regional Government appoints GTT religious teachers who are funded by the APBD.AbstrakMasalah krusial kebijakan Guru Pendidikan Agama (GPA) adalah terkait pembinaan, pengembangan karier, kesejahteraan dan rekrutmen.

The article examines the epistemological roots of conservative ideology, development trends and further prospects in political reform not only in modern Russia, but also in other countries. The author focuses on the “world” and Russian conservatism. In the course of the study, the author illustrates what opportunities and limitations a conservative ideology can have in political reform not only in modern Russia, but also in the world. In conclusion, it is concluded that the prospect of a conservative trend in the world is wide enough. To avoid immigration and to control the development of technology in society, it is necessary to adhere to a conservative policy. Conservatism is a consolidating ideology. It is no coincidence that the author cites as an example the understanding of conservative ideology by the French due to the fact that Russia has its own vision of the ideology of conservatism. If we say that conservatism seeks to preserve something and respects tradition, we must bear in mind that traditions in different societies, which form some kind of moral imperatives, cannot be a single phenomenon due to different historical destinies and differing religious views. Considered from the point of view of religion, Muslim and Christian conservatism will be somewhat confrontational on some issues. The purpose of the work was to consider issues related to the role, evolution and prospects of conservative ideology in the political reform of modern countries. The author focuses on Russia and France. To achieve this goal, the method of in-depth interviews with experts on how they understand conservatism was chosen. Already today, conservatism is quite diverse. It is quite possible that in the future it will transform even more and acquire new reflections.

The female condom (FC), also known as the femidom, has been on the market since 1993, however, its use remains limited in many parts of southern Africa, including in Eswatini (formerly Swaziland). There is a dearth of literature on the reasons for the limited use of the FC, especially from the perspective of health science students who would otherwise be expected to be knowledgeable about and have favourable attitudes to it. The aim of this study was to explore and describe the barriers to FC use among undergraduate health science students at a selected tertiary institution in Eswatini. A qualitative, exploratory descriptive study was conducted among nine conveniently sampled, unmarried undergraduate students at a selected tertiary institution in the Hhohho region in Mbabane, Eswatini. Responses to an unstructured interview guide, using in-depth interviews were analysed thematically following Creswell’s steps of qualitative data analysis. Five themes emerged from the data: (1) inadequate knowledge about the FC, (2) the FC hinders sexual pleasure, (3) insertion of the FC is time-consuming and uncomfortable, (4) the FC is bigger than the vagina, and (5) fear of being labelled “promiscuous”. Generally, the participants stated that they did not use the FC because of societal myths. Therefore, there is a need to strengthen health education campaigns for the femidom to clear the myths and misconceptions that limit its use.
