Kata kunci: Profil Kesalahan, Jenis Kelamin dan Matriks Abstract: This research is a qualitative research which aims to obtain a profile of errors students make in solving matrix problems based on sex in SMA 7 Palu. Data was collected by means of test and interview methods. The research subjects consisted of one male student (SH) and one female student (DS). The results showed that the conceptual errors made by male students (SH) were: 1) errors not understanding the concept of matrix multiplication formula, 2) errors in matrix multiplication concepts, 3) errors not applying inverse formulas, 4) inverse matrix concept errors and 5 ) the error of the adjoin concept. Procedural errors made by male students in the form of 1) errors in making calculations, 2) errors do not simplify and 3) errors do not write the operation mark on the matrix. Whereas the conceptual errors made by female students (DS) are: 1) errors do not understand the concept of matrix multiplication formula, 2) errors in the concept of matrix multiplication, 3) errors in adjoining concepts and 4) inverse matrix concept errors. Procedural errors made by female students in the form of 1) errors in carrying out calculations. Male students make a lot of mistakes than female students because , male students are not careful and in a hurry to solve the matrix problem. Whereas female students don't make too many mistakes becausethey tend to be more thorough and careful in solving matrix problems. Keywords: Error Profile, Gender and Matrix

This research aimed to identify differences in problem solving skill between male and female students. The research subjects were 50 students (21 male and 29 female) who were taken by random sampling technique from two high schools in Malang. The research instrument was adapted from problem solving instruments of Maries & Singh (2018). The data was analyzed by statistic descriptive and Kruskall Wallis test (p-value <0.05). The results showed that overall, there was no significant difference between male and female students (p-value>0.05). However male students performed better than female students on preparing the action (p-value<0.05). The results of this research can be a consideration and input for practitioners of education to improve the quality of education, especially in Indonesia.

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in class XI MIPA-3 SMAN 2 Jember in the 2017/2018 academic year through the application of discovery learning to the material properties of salt solutions. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was conducted in two research cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. The research subjects were students of class XI MIPA-3 SMAN 2 Jember, totaling 36 students, consisting of 17 male students and 19 female students. Data collection techniques in this study used observation for the implementation of the learning process and tests to determine student learning outcomes. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the application of discovery learning can improve student learning outcomes regarding the properties of salt solutions. In the first cycle the percentage of student learning completeness was 58.33% (21 students) and increased in the second cycle, the percentage of student learning mastery was 88.88% (32 students). There was a significant increase from cycle I to cycle II, namely 30.50%. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence of gender in the use of social media for listening learning in students of SMK Dharma Analitika. This was field research. This research used a descriptive method because the researchers wanted to describe the condition of students in gender-based learning that takes place at SMK Dharma Analitika as a whole, broadly, and deeply, in classroom learning activities, the use of social media, student learning behavior, and the methods and media used in learning. There was an effect of gender on the listening study of the students in SMK Dharma Analitika, shown by the significant difference in assignment results between the male and female students. Female students used social media more often than male students so female students were more confident in completing their assignments. The research found an improvement in gender-based character: male students were willing to give the role of female students to show themselves and their greatness, because they thought that female students would be better if they were given the confidence to do the task in front of the screen, whereas a male student prefers to complete the task behind-the scenes in doing video assignments for listening subjects. This study aims to determine the improvement of Arabic learning outcomes using rewards and punishments. The research used an action research method by Kemmis and McTaggart model and was carried out in two cycles. The research subjects were grade 7 students of SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Jakarta, totaling 36 students including 19 male students and 17 female students. The instruments used tested learning outcomes and observation sheets. Learning outcome tests are used to measure the success of students in understanding Arabic lessons. Meanwhile, the observation sheet is used to measure the performance of teachers and students in learning. The scores that have been achieved by the students during the study are the pre-cycle score is 65,83, the exam score for cycle 1 is 66,80, and the exam score for cycle 2 is 75,69. There was an increase in the value from the pretest to the test cycle 1, namely 0,99, and the increase from cycle 1 to cycle 2 is 8,89. The number of improvement results in this study was 9,88. By using reward and punishment, students are more active in learning and can relate the subject matter to the surrounding environment and practice it directly in the classroom.
