The purpose of this study was to see the effect of parental support and student motivation to continue their education to higher education at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Padang. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The population in this study were students of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Padang. The number of research samples was 60 people and selected using saturated samples. The data used is the type of primary data obtained through distributing questionnaires to predefined students of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Padang. The analytical method used is multiple regression analysis using SPSS 16. The results show that (1) parental support and learning motivation have a joint influence on students' interest in continuing education to higher education, (2) parental support has an influence on students' interest in continuing education to higher education, (3) learning motivation has an influence on students' interest in continuing education to higher education. interest of students to continue education to college. Keywords : : parental support, learning motivation, student interest

This research is motivated by the problem of low interest of students continuing their education to tertiary education at SMA Negeri IV Koto Aur Malintang, Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors causing the low student interest in continuing education at the Higher Education. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method. The research participants were determined by purposive sampling consisting of Principals, Teachers and Grade 3 Students who did not participate the National Selection for State Higher Education Entrance (SNMPTN) in accordance with a quota of 25% (school accreditation B) of the number of grade 3 students registered for SMAN IV Koto AurMalintang, Padang Pariaman Regency. Data was collected through document studies, and interviews and then reduced, presented and concluded. The results showed that there were several factors that caused the low interest of students at SMAN IV Koto Aur Malintang Padang Pariaman in continuing their education to tertiary institutions. The first was due to economic factors, secondly the attraction of going out of the town, thirdly the lack of parental support due to the economy and low education of the parents as well as environmental factors.

This study primarily unearths measure and evaluate the determinants influencing business students' learning motivation at universities in Ho Chi Minh City through the self-administered questionnaires with 257 students. The results show all seven factors of (1) social factors; (2) learning environment; (3) lecturers’ behaviour; (4) family and friend influence; (5) students’ self-awareness; (6) student’s willpower and (7) student viewpoint have impacted on learning motivation of business students. In addition, suggestions and recommendations are proposed to enhance student motivation in higher education.

This study aims to determine the effect of taxpayer understanding and awareness of tax benefits to the restaurants taxpayer pays taxes . Sources of data used in this study is primary data derived from taxpayer restaurant in Tomohon. The analytical method used is multiple regression analysis. The results of the regression analysis resulted in the equation r Y = 8.000 + 0.136 X1 + 0.440 X2 . R2 value of 0.303 indicates the proportion of the taxpayer contributes understanding and awareness of tax benefits to the restaurants taxpayer pays tax at a restaurant in Tomohon 30.3 %. And korelsi coefficient ( r) of 0.550 . Hypothesis testing using t-test showed that no taxpayer understanding partial effect on consciousness taxpayer pays tax while the restaurant in Tomohon city restaurant tax benefits significantly influence the consciousness of the top tax payers in the city of Tomohon.

One that affects the success of student learning is motivation. Less motivation to learn in students will affect the decrease in enthusiasm for learning and learning outcomes. There are several factors that influence the motivation of students in learning, including the support of parents and peers. This research aims to; (1) Describe the contribution of parental support, peer conformity and students' learning motivation, and (2) examine the contribution of parental support and peer conformity together on students' learning motivation. This study uses a quantitative approach with analytical descriptive method. The sample in this study were students of class VII and VIII, a total of 108 students. This research instrument uses a Likert scale model. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistical techniques, then using simple linear regression analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The research findings show that in general; 1) students' parental support is in the high category, peer conformity of students is in the very high category, students' learning motivation is in the very high category, and 2) there is a strong and positive relationship between parental support and students' learning motivation. . This research has implications for the educational process in schools as a contribution to parental support and positive peer conformity which makes students have high learning motivation and are confident in their own abilities.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of price and brand trust on the brand switching behavior of Revlon lipstick on students of the Faculty of Economics, Padang State University. This type of research is causative. The population in this study were students of the Faculty of Economics, Padang State University. The number of research samples based on William Cochran's formula was 100 people and selected using the Purposive Sampling technique. The data used is the type of primary data obtained through distributing questionnaires to students of the Faculty of Economics, Padang State University with predetermined criteria. The analytical method used is multiple regression analysis using SPSS 22. The results show that (1) Price has a significant effect on brand switching of Revlon lipsticks to other brands of lipstick, (2) Brand trust has no significant effect on brand switching of Revlon lipsticks to other brands of lipstick. , (3) price has a significant effect on brand switching of Revlon lipstick to another brand of lipstick, while brand trust has no significant effect on brand switching of Revlon lipstick to another brand of lipstick.

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect student achievement in the Department of Economic Education at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training of UIN Suska Riau. Population of this study was 201 students with a sample of 100 people. Data collected using questionnaire and documentation instrument. The data analysis technique used multiple regression analysis. The results showed that  learning motivation has a positive and significant effect on learning achievement. The learning interest has a positive and significant effect on learning achievement. The family environment has a positive and significant effect on learning achievement, and teh learning motivation has also a positive and significant effect on learning achievement. There is a joint influence of learning motivation, interest in learning, family environment and learning models, together on learning achievement.

Students with high loyalty are the assets of Higher Education because they will provide positive recommendations and encourage friends, relatives and other communities to make choices and use the education services they have experienced. The purpose of this research is (1) To know how influence of trust toward student loyalty in STIE Pasaman, (2) to know how influence of satisfaction to student loyalty in STIE Pasaman, (3) To know how the influence of trust and satisfaction on student loyalty in STIE Pasaman. Sampling is used Probability Sampling by using slovin formula, where the sample amount is 85 people. The result of multiple linear regression analysis can be interpreted that the variable of trust, and satisfaction have positive and significant effect on loyalty because it has significant value less than α = 0,05. Based on the joint influence between the trust, and satisfaction on the loyalty of STIE Pasaman students is 59.3% (R2 = 0.610). Means 39% influenced by other variables not included in this study.


Aim of this study is examined the effect of intrinsic reward and extrinsic reward system for employee performance in higher education institutes of Hyderabad, Pakistan. Primary data is collected through self-administered adopted questionnaire from previousstudies. Faculty member and staff of higher education institute and from cases of the total 200 cases from higher education Institutes of Hyderabad, Pakistan. For the analysis of gathered data many tests were applied such as reliability test, regression analysis. Findings, revealed the intrinsic reward and extrinsic reward system are found to positive and significant impact employee performance in higher education institutes of Hyderabad, Pakistan. In past studies various sector of Hyderabad, Pakistan havebeen explored in regard of intrinsic reward and extrinsic reward system and employee performance, based on our limited this is first study is explored in context of higher education institutes of Hyderabad, Pakistan.
