AbstractThe Covid19 pandemic is currently affecting universities. IAIN Padangsidimpuan as one of the institutions of Islamic religious state higher education in Indonesia is required to follow the changes in learning methods, namely distance learning (PJJ), which is from the beginning is fully face-to-face. The location of the campus in the Southern Part of North Sumatra with diverse origins of students and being far from urban areas is a challenge for institutions. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. The number of informants 384 people consisting of active students of the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business were randomly selected. Based on the results of the study note that, although the majority of students (95.8%) already have the tools to undergo Distance Learning, on the other hand students feel the distance learning method is currently not appropriate because students feel unable to monitor the development of distance learning easily, cannot obtain learning material easily nor can study material easily. Overall, both in terms of technology and the Lecturer side, students are not satisfied with the distance learning method they are currently undergoing and also feel dissatisfied with the ability of the Lecturer to deliver material to distance learning.

This study aims to reveal students' mathematical creative thinking skills which include indicators of fluency, flexibility, and originality by describing students' answers in solving cube and block problems. This research was conducted on the superior grade VIII students of MTsN 1 Makassar, totaling 39 students. The research subjects were taken as many as 6 people using the criteria for high, medium, and low group levels, every 2 students at each level. The instrument used is a creative thinking ability test, which consists of 4 items of description with qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the students' mathematical creative thinking skills including the three indicators were very good based on the percentage value of each indicator being above 50%. In the fluency indicator, the percentage value is 100% for item number 1 and 95.83% for question number 2, the percentage value of the flexibility indicator for item number 2 and 4 is 95.83% and 91.67%, respectively, and the percentage value of the novelty indicator is questions number 2 and 4 are 75% and 70.83%, respectively. From the three indicators above, the percentage value of students' creative thinking ability is low when compared to the other two indicators, this shows that students are less able to produce unusual answers/ideas and the suitability of the answers given is very irrelevant to the problem.

This study aims to describe procedural fluency in solving problems for students of the Mathematics Education Department at the STKIP Pamane Talino who obtain high and low mathematical dispositions through learning assisted by Google Classroom. This research is a qualitative research. The research subjects were two students in the third semester. Subjects were selected by purposive sampling. The research data was obtained by tests and interviews, and the validity of the data was obtained by using the triangulation method. The techniques of data analysis were trough: 1) classifying data into three indicators of the smoothness of the procedure; namely: a) implementing procedures appropriately, b) selecting and utilizing procedures, c) modifying procedures, then reducing data that are not included in the 3 indicators; 2) presenting data in a narrative; 3) concluding the procedural fluency obtained from the indicators of procedural fluency in problem-solving steps. The results of the high mathematical disposition analysis showed that students had excellent procedural skills because they could apply procedures appropriately. They were able to select and utilize procedures accurately, and were able to apply procedures properly and flexibly. In the other side, the students with low mathematical disposition, they had poor procedural skills because even though they were able to apply the procedure, choose, and use the procedure appropriately, they still could not comply with the procedure appropriately and accurately for they answered all the questions incorrectly.

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted issuing the low learning outcomes on Civics subject by the fifth grader students of SD Negeri 009 Pulau Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency with an average score of 63.40. It was seen that out of 16 students, there were only 7 students who passed the test (43.75%), while the other 9 students (56.25%) did not. The result was established according to the KKM (minumum score) determined by the school which was 75. The students' low performance might occur because of several reasons: (a) the way the presentation of the material delivered by the teacher did not really involve the students activity; (b) the teacher did not use learning media in explaining the learning material; and (c) the teacher applied an approach, model, or method that was less attractive to the students. This study aims at improving the students' achievement in Civics by using brainstorming methods with the help of graphic image media. The research is a classroom action research (CAR) consisting of three cycles with research subjects of grade V students of SDN 009 Pulau Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency. The results showed improvements in each cycle. The score increased from an average score of 62.50 to 69.06 in the first cycle. In the second cycle, the score increased to 75.93 and in the third cycle increased to 80.94. The increase of the score that occurred in the baseline score of  Daily Test I was 10.49%, then 21.49% in the Daily Test II and 29.50% in the Daily Test III. In other words, the brainstorming method with the help of graphic image media can improve the students learning outcomes in Civics subject.
