Concepts understanding is the key for students to have quality knowledge. A good concepts understanding will affect the achievement of other abilities such as the ability to think critically and creatively. This study aims to see the application of two strategies, namely RQA (Reading-Questioning-Answering) and TTW (Think-Talk-Write) in improving students' concepts understanding. The research method used is posttest only control group design with a total sample of 60 students divided into two experimental classes. The treatment for the first experimental class was the RQA strategy while the treatment for the second experimental class was the TTW strategy. After the treatments, the students were given 20 questions about concepts understanding motion and force material. Based on the results of testing and data analysis, it is found that there are differences in the achievement of students' conceptual understanding between RQA strategy and TTW strategy. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the three steps in the TTW strategy have a better impact on the seven aspects of conceptual understanding compared to the RQA strategy. This study provides recommendation for teachers to correctly choose learning strategies according to the character of the material to be taught.

Abstraksi Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan strategi pembelajaran sosiodrama dan presentasi. Dugaan awal yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah ada perbedaan antara strategi pembelajaran sosiodrama dan presentasi. Strategi pembelajaran sosiodrama lebih efektif dalam penyerapan informasi pada mahasiswa daripada pembelajaran presentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah semua mahasiswa yang ada di kelas psikologi perkembangan di A dan B. Peneliti memberikan posttest setiap selesai melakukan presentasi dan sosiodrama di masing-masing kelas, kemudian mereview proses pembelajaran. Posttest dilakukan dalam 12 kali pertemuan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen Posttest Only, Equivalent Control Group Design, yaitu subjek yang diberi perlakuan merupakan keseluruhan subjek dalam kelompok tersebut. Metode analisis data dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan fasilitas program SPSS versi IBM 22,00 dan analisis data deskriptif dari hasil observasi. Teknik analisis uji U-Mann Whitney test menunjukkan skor p > 0,05 yang artinya tidak ada perbedaan antara menggunakan strategi pembelajaran sosiodrama dan presentasi. Namun, dari hasil rata-rata nilai posttest kelas, ditemukan bahwa kelas yang menggunakan metode sosiodrama memiliki nilai rata-rata yang lebih tinggi daripada metode presentasi. Initial allegations put forward in this study is there is a difference between learning strategies sociodrama and presentation. Sociodramas more effective learning strategies in the uptake of information on student learning rather than presentation. Subjects numbered are all students in the class in the A and B. Researchers gave posttest after each presentation and sociodramas in each class, and then reviewing the learning process. Posttest conducted in 12 meetings. The method used was experimental posttest Only, Equivalent Control Group Design, the subject being treated is a whole subject in the group. Methods of data analysis performed in this study using the facilities of IBM SPSS version 22.00 and descriptive data analysis of the results of observation. Engineering test analysis Mann Whitney U-test showed score p> 0.01, which means there is no difference between the use of learning strategies sociodrama and presentation. However, the results of the average posttest value, it was found that the class using sociodramas method has an average value higher than the method of presentation. <p><strong>Abstract: </strong>This aim of this study was to determine effectiveness of using problem posing model combined with recitation method on student’s conceptual understanding. The method of this study is quasy experiment with pretest-posttest control group design, with control and experiment groups. The data analysis technique used was independent t-test and continued with an analysis of N-gain value to determine effectiveness. The results showed a significant difference between the posttest values of the control group and the experiment group with a significance value of 0,000 (α = 0.05). The results of the analysis of N-gain values showed that problem posing model combined with recitation method is more effective for student's conceptual understanding.</p><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan model <em>problem posing</em> dipadu metode resitasi terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain <em>pretest-posttest control group design</em>, dengan grup kontrol dan eksperimen. Tekhnik analisis data yang digunakan adalah <em>independent t-test</em> dan dilanjutkan dengan analisis nilai N-gain untuk mengetahui efektivitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai <em>posttest</em> grup kontrol dan eksperimen dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (α= 0,05). Hasil analisis nilai N-gain menunjukkan bahwa model <em>problem posing</em> dipadu metode resitasi lebih efektif terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa.

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of the TGT model on the understanding of students' concepts. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a non equivalent control group design. The population in this study amounted to 76 students, with samples VIII C as the experimental class and VIII A as the control class. The sampling technique uses cluster random side. To measure the understanding of concepts students are tested with multiple choice questions amounting to 20. Test hypotheses are used to determine whether or not there is an influence of the TGT model on students' conceptual understanding. The results of the analysis state that there is an influence on understanding the concepts of students. This is evidenced from the acquisition of tcount> t table, which is 4.933> 2.011, which means that, there is the influence of the TGT learning model on students' conceptual understanding.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model TGT terhadap pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain non equivalent control group. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 76 peserta didik, dengan sampel VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII A sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random samping. Untuk mengukur pemahaman konsep peserta didik dilakukan tes dengan soal pilihan ganda berjumlah 20. Uji hipotesis digunakan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh model TGT terhadap pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Hasil analisismenyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Hal ini dibuktikan dari perolehan nilai thitung > ttabel yaitu 4,933 > 2,011 yang berarti bahwa, terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran TGT terhadap pemahaman konsep peserta didik.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan metode silih tanya berbantuan kartu model dan metode make a match. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian non equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 4 Sungguminasa Kab. Gowa berjumlah 351 siswa dan total sampel berjumlah 64 siswa dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes yang terdiri dari pretest dan posttest dan non tes berupa lembar observasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data nilai siswa menggunakan statistik deskriptif rata-rata nilai kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajar menggunakan metode silih tanya berbantuan kartu model adalah 86,84 dengan kategori sedang dan yang diajar menggunakan metode make a match adalah 77,78 dengan kategori sedang. Berdasarkan analisis statistik inferensial bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan metode silih tanya berbantuan kartu model dengan yang menggunakan metode make a match pada kelas VII SMPN 4 Sungguminasa Kab. Gowa. AbstractThis study aims to determine the mathematical communication ability of students who use card-assisted questions method and make a match method. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research with nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study were all VII grade students of SMPN 4 Sungguminasa, Gowa Regency with 351 students and a total sample of 64 students with purposive sampling techniques. The instrument used in this study was a test consisting of pre-test and post-test and non-test that is observation sheet. Based on the data analysis results that average the value of students’ mathematical communication skills who were taught using the card-assisted questions was 86.84 in the medium category and those who taught using make a match method were 77.78 in the medium category. The results of inferential statistical analysis that there is a significant difference between the mathematical communication abilities of students who use card-assisted questions and using the make a match method in class VII of SMPN 4 Sungguminasa, Gowa Regency.

This study aims to describe the effect of application of SQ3R method and PQ3R method to students' reading skill. This research uses experimental method, Quasi Experimental Design research form with Nonequivalent Control Group Design design. Population in this research is all student of Study Program of Language and Literature of Indonesia semester 6 which amounted to 243. The sample used is class C Morning and class C afternoon obtained by simple random sampling technique. The technique used is the measurement with the tool in the form of reading test in the form of multiple choice which amounted to 30 items. Data analysis technique used in this research is anava 2 lane. Based on the result of data analysis, it is known that the application of SQ3R method and PQ3R method is good with the details as follows: (1) The average value before given treatment 20,476 with enough category; (2) the average application of the SQ3R method is 22.097 with good category; (3) the average percentage of PQ3R method is 22,045 with good category.   Keywords: method SQ3R, PQ3R method, read     Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penerapan metode SQ3R dan metode PQ3R terhadap keterampilan membaca mahasiswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia semester 6 yang berjumlah 243. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu kelas C Pagi dan kelas C sore yang diperoleh dengan Teknik simple random sampling. Teknik yang digunakan yaitu pengukuran dengan alatnya berupa tes membaca berupa pilihan ganda yang berjumlah 30 butir soal. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah anava 2 jalur. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diketahui bahwa penerapan metode SQ3R dan Metode PQ3R tergolong baik dengan rincian sebagai berikut: (1) Nilai rata-rata sebelum diberikan perlakuan 20,476 dengan kategori cukup; (2)  rata-rata penerapan metode SQ3R sebesar 22,097 dengan katergori baik; (3) persentase rata-rata metode PQ3R sebesar 22,045 denga kategori baik.   Kata kunci: metode SQ3R, metode PQ3R, membaca

The purpose of this study was to find out how much influence the use of snake ladder media in improving students' dribbling skills in basketball games at the IT Tourism Vocational School Nurul Imam. With a sample of XI class of 30 people consisting of 18 female students and 12 students, the research method used experiments with the design of The Randomize Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Treatment given is in the form of snake ladder playing media in the learning process. The research process lasted for 5 weeks with the results of the analyst showing the average value obtained by students at the IT Tourism Vocational School Nurul Imam when the pre-test was conducted at 22.33 and the post-test was 26.56. there is an increase even though it is not too large with an average increase of 4.2.

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of puppet media on the ability to listen to children in group A TK N Pembina District Gresik. This study used the Quasi Experiment research method with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design type. The population of this study were all TK N Pembina District children in Gresik, with samples class A1 as the experimental class and A2 as the control class. The data collection technique used is observation. The results showed that the effect of the use of puppet media on the ability to listen to children in group A TK N Pembina District of Gresik, this was evidenced from the results of t test calculations obtained p value 0.00 less than 0.05

<p>This research is motivated by the inequality of character development of students, particularly confidence when speaking in public. This study aims to answer the problem formulation which is reflected in the research hypothesis that modelling techniques effective in increasing the confidence of students in Pondok Pesantren Assalafi Al-Fithrah Surabaya (H<sub>a</sub>). The approach used is a quantitative approach with the research methods true experimental design, pretest-posttest control group design. Samples were taken by purposive from the population are students of class Isti'dad Ulya  A and B. This study aims to know the effectiveness of collaborative learning with gift envelope game media on statistic learning outcomes. Student learning outcomes are measured only on the subject of collection and presentation data. This research is pure experimental research with a posttest only control group design. The population of this study were students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Jember and the sample was class VII B as the experimental class and class VII D as the control class. The hypothesis testing method used is T-Test (Independent Sample T-test). Based on the results of data analysis, the value of tcount = 5.993 ≥ ttable = 2.00665 or ρ-value = 0,000 < 0.025 at the first meeting, while at the second meeting tcount = 5.069  ≥ ttable =2.00324 or ρ-value = 0,000 < 0.025. Based on the results of these calculations it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted which means collaborative learning with gift envelope game media is effective for student’s learning outcomes

Process skills are very important to be trained for students in the learning process because process skills have a role to help students in developing their minds, provide opportunities to make discoveries, improve memory, and help students learn scientific concepts. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of inquiry-based learning on students' science process skills in the buffer solution material. The research method used a quasy experiment with a research design Posttest Only Control Group Design, which consists of an experimental class and a control class. The results showed that inquiry-based learning with V-diagrams had a higher score of student science process skills than those using inquiry-based learning alone. Generally the inquiry-based learning with V-diagrams is more effective than inquiry-based learning for students' science process skills.
