The aim of the study was to substantiate the need for and evaluate the effectiveness of using a business game to increase the awareness of students of a medical university about the skills of a healthy lifestyle when using electronic devices as part of teaching hygienic disciplines. At the Department of Hygiene of the Pediatric Faculty of the Russian National Research Medical University named after V.I. N.I. Pirogov, a business game "Formation of skills for the safe use of electronic devices" has been developed. The business game is a "simulation-role", students play the role of "doctors" who conduct hygienic education for contingents of different ages (preschoolers, schoolchildren, college students, universities). The study involved 220 medical workers and 256 students. Inclusion criteria — informed consent, correctly completed questionnaire. Statistical data processing was carried out using Statistica 13.0. 30.0% of the surveyed doctors did not have the skills to safely use electronic devices. The trainees characterized their adherence to a healthy lifestyle by 6.1 ± 0.09 points, and their readiness to give recommendations on a healthy lifestyle of patients by 5.6 ± 0.12 out of 10 possible. The business game contributes to the formation of universal and general professional competencies aimed at developing the skills of leading a healthy lifestyle and promoting health preservation among future doctors. Conducting classes in the form of a business game increases motivation for learning, provides greater visibility of the presentation of educational material and the possibility of manifestation of creative initiative.

Medical volunteerism gives an opportunity for future specialists to provide free assistance to practical healthcare, as well as to acquire personal and professional qualities required for a student at a medical university. Medical volunteers are implementing many large-scale campaigns and projects aimed at the prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases and other socially significant diseases, and at promoting a healthy lifestyle. The results of the work are to increase public awareness, as preventive measures are an important component of the healthcare system, aimed at the formation of the population's medical and social activity and motivation for a healthy lifestyle.

Introduction: A widespread intensive use of electronic devices by modern young people negatively affects their health emphasizing the importance of raising awareness of users about health risks of the uncontrolled use of gadgets and developing appropriate safety skills. High school students can get necessary information in medical institutions, at school, and at home. The objective was to study the role of parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals in forming knowledge, skills and abilities of the safe use of digital devices and related components of a healthy lifestyle in seniors. Materials and methods: In the light of the objective, a special online questionnaire-based survey was conducted in 2019 using Google Forms. It involved 200 schoolchildren in grades 9-11 (15-17 years of age), 251 parents, 389 school teachers, and 220 healthcare professionals. Results: The survey data demonstrated the lowest subjective assessment of risks of the uncontrolled use of digital devices among schoolchildren (p≤0.05) and, at the same time, the highest prevalence of the considered risk factors among them. About 30% of the schoolchildren, 20% of parents and 20% of teachers underestimate behavioral risk factors of the uncontrolled use of gadgets (p≤0.05). I established the leading role of parents in forming the skill of long-term screen time in young people and noted low competence of healthcare professionals in issues of the safe use of digital devices and related components of a healthy lifestyle (using devices in poor lighting, inappropriate places and positions, lacking regular breaks, underestimating risks of low physical activity and eating less than 3 meals a day). I also found that teachers, being aware of safety requirements, comply with them but do not use this experience in their professional activities. Only 65% of schoolchildren and parents and 60% of teachers (p≤0.05) have skills of a safe screen use and take measures to preserve and maintain visual acuity. Conclusions: The survey revealed the importance of improving awareness of the population in issues of the safe use of digital devices, increasing the number of school subjects providing knowledge on this issue and contributing to the development of related healthy lifestyle components, and using all possible sources of transmission of relevant information.

This article focuses on approaches to implementing the principles of P4 medicine, specifically, stimulating prevention-based thinking among students of faculties of general medicine and pediatrics. Below, we describe a pilot approach to teaching hygiene that was implemented at the Department of General Hygiene (Kazan State Medical University). Considering the gnoseological role of empathy, we designed an interactive workbook for students taking a course in Hygiene. The workbook allows the student to engage in empathic interactions and discourse about the studied subject with the teacher and peers. After the course, the students were surveyed; their degree of engagement in the learning process and their expectations were evaluated. The respondents rated their interest in Hygiene before starting the course as 5.6 and 5.7 points on the 10-point scale (for the traditional and innovative courses, respectively). During the course, the score increased to 5.8 and 8.6 points for the traditional and innovative courses, respectively. Our pilot project demonstrates the need for reviewing the strategy of teaching hygiene and prevention-related disciplines at clinical faculties and including the principles of P4 medicine in the medical curriculum, thus allowing the student to effectively perform their professional duties in primary healthcare.

The training of midwives in recent years has been consistent with the development of technology, the growing demands of the field of obstetric services, from patients and legislative changes, but, nevertheless, the emphasis has not yet been placed on mastering professional skills and communication. Clinical practice is a form of training associated with high responsibility, good theoretical training and mastered skills and competencies during training sessions. During clinical practice, students should master a number of practical skills, they should be able to develop the necessary confidence and the necessary professional self-esteem. Proper and appropriate organization of clinical practice contributes to the creation of positive motivation for learning, the development of cognitive interests that were once formed, become active internal factors for improving the quality, effectiveness and selfesteem in relation to educational activities. The activities of teachers and mentors should be aimed at working more closely with students during clinical practice, so that they can prepare well and fully independently during practical training to perform the specified skills. Motivation is important for creating a professional orientation that is passed on by practitioners and is a prerequisite for choosing a future workplace for students. Mentors from training bases are people who can guide young professionals to train them, educate them on professional responsibility, and teach them how to communicate with patients and colleagues. Students need daily incentives for active, purposeful and constant efforts for all types of activities, so that they can gain the necessary confidence and be ready for the requirements of their chosen profession.

The article examines publication of statistical data commemorating the anniversaries of the USSR Victory in the Great Patriotic War as the most important information sources for an objective analysis of historical events. The reason for writing this article was the release of the statistical handbook of Rosstat, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. In the introduction, the author argues the current urgency of issues addressed in the article caused by information warfare aimed at distorting the historical truth about the role of our country in the anti-Hitler coalition and the defeat of fascism in the World War II. The body of the article describes the concept and content of the anniversary edition. An important point of the article is the analysis of data sources used in the preparation of the handbook. The author reviews the anniversary handbook structure that includes a preface and the following sections: Population, Economic, Living conditions, Mobilization of population, Partisan movement, Evacuation during the war, Casualties and losses during the war, Military memorials and cemeteries, State awards, References. It is noted that the handbook maintains the tradition of previous statistical publications dedicated to the anniversaries of the Great Victory. Lastly, the author substantiates the novelty of data presented in the anniversary handbook and the logical structure of statistical materials in it. The author draws conclusions about the paramount importance of, and need to continue popularization of data on the great exploits of the Soviet people during the war and to introduce new statistical information into scientific circulation, which is causing further comprehension of primary information sources about the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

In Slovenia, the role of general practitioners in counselling physical activity for prevention of cardiovascular disease (CVD) is well recognized. The role of general practitioners in advising healthy lifestyle for individuals who are at risk of developing CVD is formally defined in the National Program for Primary Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease, which has been running since 2001. Part of the program is counselling on healthy lifestyle including physical activity, performed in all health centres across the country. First a screening and medical examination is performed. In case of higher risk for CVD (>20%) the physician should give advice on the particular risk factor and direct patients to health-education centres, where they can participate in healthy lifestyle workshops lead by health professionals. Physicians and other health professionals who are involved in the implementation of prevention activities within the program need knowledge and skills that are crucial for successful counselling on healthy lifestyle. The educational program “basic education in health promotion and prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases in primary health care/family medicine” consists of two parts. The first part of the training is open to all health professionals working within the program. The second part is intended for health professionals working in health-education workshops. In the last few years a new family practice model has been introduced and disseminated. Some duties of the family physician, including health promotion and counselling, are being transferred to graduate nurses who become part of the family practice team. This new division of work undoubtedly brings many advantages, both in terms of the work organization, and of high-quality patient care. Nevertheless preventive action cannot be fully passed on to graduate nurses. Careful planning and education are needed to ensure a comprehensive approach in healthy life style counselling.
