This study aims to determine the effect of using a contextual approach based on critical thinking on the learning outcomes of the history of students at SMK Negeri 1 Lubuk Pakam, Deli Serdang Regency. This study used a quasi-experimental method with the design of the two group pretest-posttest design. The study population was all students of class X majoring in Teknik Komputer Jaringan (TKJ) and class X majoring in Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak (RPL), amounting to 143 students, with a study sample of 72 students consisting of 36 students of class X TKJ-B as an experimental class and 36 students of class X RPL as a control class. Data collection uses the test method. The test results show that the average value of TKJ-B class X students who take part in learning with a critical thinking based contextual approach is 85.28, while the average value of RPL class X students who follow learning with conventional models is 72.64. Hypothesis testing uses the t-test that shows tcount > ttable with a value of tcount at 7.14 and the value of ttable is 1.668. Based on the results of the study it was found that there were significant differences between student learning outcomes that followed learning with contextual approaches and historical learning outcomes of students who followed learning with conventional models. Student learning outcomes using a contextual approach are better than the student's learning outcomes with conventional learning models.

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Two Stay Two Stray learning model (TSTS) to the history of student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 7 Medan. The research method used is quasi-experimental. The study population was students of class X IPS with a sample of 65 students consisting of 34 students of class X IPS 2 as an experimental class and 31 students of class X IPS 1 as a control class. Data collection techniques using observation and tests. The data obtained were analyzed using the t-test. The observation results showed that 91% of the experimental class students who took part in learning with the TSTS model got very good average scores. The average post-test value of the experimental class was 80.3, while the average value of the post-test of the control class that followed the learning with the conventional model was 63.70. T-test results for the post-test scores were obtained tcount > ttable (7,004 > 1,670).These results indicate that the TSTS learning model has a great influence in improving the history of student learning outcomes in class XI IPS 2 SMA Negeri 7 Medan.

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of jobsheets on student learning outcomes in the workshop workshops and technical drawing of class X Audio Video Engineering. This type of research is quasi-experimental (quasi experiment). The subjects of this study were students of class X TAV of SMK Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan who in the 2018/2019 school year consisted of 34 students. Data collection in this study using the results of posttest in the form of objective questions as many as 30 items that have been tested for validity, reliability, index of difficulty and power difference questions. Data that has been obtained is analyzed using two different test averages (t test). From the results of the study obtained the value of the experimental class average of 84.94 and the average value of the control class 75.26. With the analysis of t test, it is obtained tcount = 6.131 which is smaller than t table = 2.037 at the significance level of 0.05. Thus it can be concluded that the use of jobsheet has a significant influence on improving student learning outcomes in the workshop workshops and technical models of class X TAV at SMK Negeri 1 Koto XI TarusanKeywords: jobsheet, workshop work and engineering drawings, Improving Learning Outcomes.

The purpose of this article is to improve the learning outcomes of students using interactive multimedia in the eyes of training to improve electric motors in SMK 1 Tanjung Raya. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest one group. The subjects of this study were students of class XII TITL of SMK 1 Tanjung Raya who were enrolled in the 2013/2014 school year consisting of 29 students. Data collection in this study used a test of learning outcomes (posttest) in the form of objective questions as many as 20 items. Before the test questions were used then a test was conducted to determine the validity, reliability, level of difficulty of the questions and the different power of the questions. The data obtained were analyzed using the Gain Score. The results obtained indicate that there is an increase in student learning outcomes that can be seen from the results of the pretest and posttest values, the average value of pretest before using interactive multimedia is 64.48 and the average posttest value after using interactive multimedia is 75.07. So it was concluded that the use of interactive multimedia learning media can improve student learning outcomes in the eyes of training to improve the electric motor.

This study aims to describe the effect of student confidence in mathematics on critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. This research is a quasi-experimental study, the sample in this study is X class students majoring in hotel accommodation as many as 30 students. Retrieval of data using questionnaire and test instruments. The results of this study indicate that the average student confidence in mathematics is 58.06 with a standard deviation of 3.65. While the ability to think critically and student learning outcomes obtained an average of 56.94 with a standard deviation of 9.63. The influence of students' trust in mathematics on critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes have a positive effect shown by F arithmetic (4,485) ≥ F table (4.18) or the significance number in ANOVA 0.043 ≤ 0.05. The magnitude of the effect of students' trust in mathematics on critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes of 13.4%. The regression equation obtained by Y ̂ = 0.866 + 0.966X + ϵ. This means that if the value of students' trust in mathematics is 1 unit, the value of the predicted variable will increase by 0.966. The higher the student's confidence in mathematics, the ability to think critically and student learning outcomes will also increase.

This study aims to determine the differences in learning outcomes of students who use learning strategies based on problems with the conventional instructional strategies in the subject matter and measuring student learning activities when using learning strategies based on problems with conventional learning. The study was quasi-experimental. The population is all class X Semester Gasal SMA Swasta Martadinata consisting of 9 classes. Sampling was done by cluster random sampling by taking 2 classes of 9th grade classes were randomly ie X-7 as the experimental class and numbered 34, the class X-6 as a control class numbered 35 people. The results showed the average value of the experimental class pretest 32.20 with a standard deviation of 12.40 and a control class 31.40 with a standard deviation of 10.90. After completion of learning is given, the value of the average post-test on the experimental class of 76.50 with a standard deviation of 9.20 and a control class is 69.00 with a standard deviation of 9.10. T-test analysis results of the two parties obtained tcount = 3.42, while for ttable = 1.67 so that tcount > ttable. This means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, or is there a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students who use learning strategies based on problems with student learning outcomes using conventional learning.

Internet-based interactive media can support the success of learning in a classroom.  This study aims to observe the role of blogs as interactive media to improve student learning outcomes. The research used a quasi-experimental method, the independent variable is the use of the teacher's blog and the dependent variable is student learning outcomes. The role of Teacher’s blog is observed on the material of object classification and temperature change. The subjects of this study were students of class VII A and VII E of Xaverius I Middle School in Jambi City. Quantitative data derived from the value of worksheets and written tests after one basic competency cycle is implemented. Data were processed with simple statistics, namely calculating the average value of two basic competencies. The calculated percentage indicates the difference between the average value in the class that does not use the teacher's blog and the class that uses the teacher's blog. The percentage results were analyzed qualitatively referring to theories and results of the previous relevant research. The results of this study indicate an increase of average grade from 75 to 80. Based on the result of the study, it can be concluded that the use of teacher blogs as interactive media is very effective in improving learning outcomes.
