Mathematics education has been notoriously slow at interpreting inclusion in ways that are not divisive. Dominant views of educational inclusion in school mathematics classrooms have been shaped by social constructions of ability. These particularly indelible constructions derive from the perceived hierarchical nature of mathematics and the naturalised assumption that mathematisation is purely an intellectual exercise. Constructions of ability, therefore, emanate from the epistemic structures of mathematics education as predominantly practiced worldwide, and the prevalence of proceduralism and exclusion in those practices. Assumptions about ‘ability’ have become a truth to mathematical aptitude held by mathematics teachers in schools. This includes schools across Scotland. In Scotland, the government owes the ‘included pupil’ a legal obligation to provide additional support for learning under section 1(1) of the Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Act 2004. However, classroom practices deployed around socially-constructed notions of ability have seen schools moving away from an emphasis on ‘additional’ to an expansive interpretation of ‘different from’ in the language of section 1(3)(a) of the Act 2004. This shift, therefore, reinstalls exclusionary effects to school mathematics practices by creating the conditions for some pupils, constructed in terms of disabilities or low ability, to be afforded a more inferior education than others. While philosophical conversations around whether these practices are ethical, egalitarian or democratic might ensue, there is also the human rights angle, which asks whether such practices are even lawful.

Cases of violence against children in the form of physical, psychological, or sexual violence has been increasing in Indonesia, particularly violence cases that occur at school. Teacher candidates’ level of knowledge on violence against children (bullying) at school was only in the “sufficient” category. In addition, nowadays, children games that contain local contents and values such as cooperation, sportsmanship, and companionship has been abandoned by children. This study aimed to produce a product from the development of child-friendly educative game model that promote prevention of violence against children, particularly at school. This study used Level 1 Research and Development (R & D) method because it only achieved the fourth stage, namely Main Model Revision. The produced “anti-violence against children snake and ladder game” was an educative game product from which children could learn about the value of anti-violence and anti-bullying in school through games. The snake and ladder game was accompanied by game instruction, picture concept, and message regarding implementation of anti-violence and anti-bullying efforts at school, which was adjusted for children. The resulting game product was designed to integrate all elements present in formal education on anti-violence and anti-bullying efforts. The average pretest results was 18 and the average post-test results was 45. It can be concluded that “anti-violence against children snake and ladder” game model could increase knowledge by 150%.

Current research in psychology and psychophysiology focuses on the subject of anticipation and forecasting. Anticipatory sustainability is a personal trait that determines the ability to anticipate events and possible ways of personal development, as well as the ability to prevent interpersonal conflicts. The aim of the study was to identify the role of development level of anticipatory competence of coaches in their professional competence evaluation and perception by athletes. Research methods and organization. The research involved two groups of test subjects. The experimental group consisted of sport dance coaches and their students. The control group brought together experts in socionomic area with different work experience. We used testing and questionnaire methods to achieve the goal and objectives of the study. Testing method included the test for diagnosing anticipatory sustainability according to A. Mendelevich and the test of socio-perceptual coaching evaluation by athletes. We used the results of testing and questionnaires to provide a comparative and correlation analysis of data. Research results. The analysis of test results revealed the impact of work experience on the development of both spatial and temporal characteristics of the anticipation of coaches, indicating a possible effect on the intensity and direction of development of those characteristics in specific conditions. We have identified valid connections between the gnostic parameter (professional competence evaluation) of the socio-perceptual coaching evaluation by athletes and spatiotemporal characteristics of coaches' anticipation, defined as professionally important qualities of coaches. Moreover, we have demonstrated a weak direct relationship between the personality-situational component of the anticipatory sustainability of coaches and the emotional parameter of their socio-perceptual evaluation by athletes, indicating a significant role of communicative-anticipation sustainability in the development of an attitude of athletes to the coach. Conclusion. In summary, we can conclude that the anticipatory sustainability of coaches plays a key role in the structure of their competence, and the development of this property is possible under certain conditions.

ABSTRACT Purpose: to know the profile of members of the Brazilian Association of Orofacial Motricity and their knowledge and interest on laser therapy in Orofacial Motricity. Methods: an online form was elaborated covering questions about the speech therapist’s profile, training, and acting, as well as his/her knowledge about the theories of laser therapy and its clinical application. The form was sent via e-mail to members of the Brazilian Association of Orofacial Motricity - ABRAMO, registered in the year 2015. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics and the Spearman’s correlation test. Results: only 5 (19.2%) out of the 26 participants reported having contact with laser equipment, and of these, only 1 (3.8%) used it in his/her practice. Regarding knowledge of the method, only 2 (7.7%) were trained, and the majority, 14 speech therapists (53.8%), had an interest in acquiring knowledge on this subject. Speech therapists with a longer training period were unaware of laser therapy (p = 0.03) and did not agree on the use (p = 0.01), but claimed to be interested in the subject (p = 0.05). Conclusion: it was possible to verify that the interest in improvement and insertion in the clinical practice in laser therapy are realities for the research volunteers, but a very small number has the knowledge and makes use of the technique in their interventions.
