Partographs are guidelines for childbirth observations that will facilitate labor assistants in first identifying emergency cases and complications for mothers and fetuses. Preliminary survey at the Sigi Community Health Sub-Center (Pustu) of the 8 Pustu midwives found two midwives (25%) to complete a complete partograph, six midwives (75%) incomplete. The purpose of this study was to determine the determinant factors associated with the use of partographs in labor. The design of this study used observational analytic methods with a cross-sectional approach. 24 BPM survey results were obtained with 30 samples of midwives who met the research criteria and data completeness. The sampling technique was by the total population. Data analysis used logistic regression. The multivariate analysis results showed that APN training was the most influential factor in the use of partographs in labor by midwives. Statistical test results obtained a POR value of 37.7 (95% CI 12.1 - 60.2). This study suggests that midwives must have APN certificates to be valid in providing services.

A novel anti-caking material (E-Oil) was prepared from waste animal/plant oil and triethanolamine by catalytic synthesis in this study. The E-Oil was analyzed by FTIR and the anti-caking effect of anti-caking materials was described by caking ratio. The FTIR results showed that the reaction product of Waste Animal/Plant Oil and Hydramine was surfactant with anti-caking effect. The anti-caking test results indicated that E-Oil made the caking ratio of compound fertilizer decrease from 39.75% to 16.33%. Taking the cost into consideration, the optimal fraction of E Oil was 5‰ and the caking ratio could reach 16.33%, which could approximately meet the application requirements.

ASSESSMENT AND RISK CLASSIFICATION RECEPTION AT A MEDICAL CARE UNIT: SERVICES CATEGORIZATION   ABSTRACT The present study aims at categorizing medical services in an Emergency Room in a hospital at Paulista countryside in line with the reception protocol for assessment and risk classification. It is a case of descriptive and quantitative research based on a secondary database, obtained from Medical Charts (MC) at an Emergency Room (ER). Most of the patients assisted at the ER were female; age ranged from 0-10 and 31-40 years old. Most of the procedures were performed from 6:01 pm. to 9 pm., followed by 3:01 pm. to 6 pm. In the present study, green and blue risk classifications were the most frequent. People have seen the ER as an entry point for health care assistance, evidencing that the flow among assistance levels must have a better organization. Data might be useful to improve quality care, meeting people’s health care needs since the characteristics of the patients who are assisted by Emergency Rooms are known.   Descriptors:  Reception. We describe an intelligent triage system for emergency rooms; the system interacts with patients and classifies them by priority level and with respect to medical specialty. The system consists of a conversational interface, coupled with sensors and a physical robot-like platform, and classifiers that operate on symptoms and measurements so as to select a medical specialty and to output a priority level. Tests with human subjects demonstrated that our Healthbot system was well received and in fact preferred to alternatives by most people. Tests have also shown that the classifiers reached accuracy consistent with a doctor's output.

I am a pediatrician who started private practice recently in Pasadena, Texas. For quite some time I have been bothered by a question; but, since starting private practice I have felt compelled to ask this question of some authorities in this matter. Every pediatrician, general practitioner, and any physician (M.D.) who takes calls in the emergency room of a hospital, sometimes has found children or adults with a laceration who need a booster of D.P.T., D.T., or just plain tetanus toxoid, according to age, because it has been more then one year since they have had one, and they tell you that they are allergic to tetanus toxoid.
