Characteristics of Team Leaders Play as exemplified by the European Championships In BasketballThis paper presents a statistical analysis of basketball team leaders performance during a championship status tournament in team sports using the example of the 36th European Championships EuroBasket 2009. The list of player-leaders of particular national teams was developed by means of the expert method, based on the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data. Empirical data gathered were taken from the website of EuroBasket 2009 Poland (www.eurobasket2009.org) and FIBA Europe (www.fiba.com). Formal statistical methods concerning sample description were used. The comparative analysis was conducted by means of various tabular and graphic techniques. The calculations were performed in a STATISTICA spreadsheet. The applied statistical methods allowed a series of conclusions to be drawn concerning the performance of leader-players and their cooperation with other players on the court. The knowledge of particular SGCs (standard game components) realization allows those dispositions of leader-players which are especially significant in the process of cooperation in a basketball team to be improved by coaching.

With the rapid advancement of online survey tools, research collaboration tools, communication platforms, and statistical analysis tools, the Delphi method is an increasingly popular research approach to gain insight from experts into complex problems or when future-oriented planning is required. This chapter focuses on practical considerations and implications for practice when conducting studies online using the Delphi method. Practical logistics for the management of online Delphi studies explored in this chapter include preparing for a successful study, designing communication strategies, addressing technological considerations, and handling of qualitative and quantitative data.

This study aimed to analyze whether the structures of introductions of articles published in scientific journals with Qualis A2 in the Administration area present any logical scheme capable of being followed safely. It used the bibliometric method, with a unit of analysis the introductions of texts published in the last 2018 editions of existing journals, whose qualitative and quantitative data were analyzed and interpreted with the aid of semantic, content and comparative analysis techniques. The results showed that the introductions occupy an average of two pages, start with contextualization, justification / motivation / importance and description of the theme / object, continue with the presentation of the objectives and question-problem and end with the presentation of the structure of the article and referencing of other parts (theoretical framework, methodology and results). The conclusion shows that every introduction has initial, central and final elements. The contribution to the Administration area is to provide a safe structure for writing the introductions for these journals.

A measurement scale is used to qualify or quantify data variables in statistics. It determines the kind of techniques to be used for statistical analysis. The measurement scales are used to measure qualitative and quantitative data. With nominal and ordinal scale being used to measure qualitative data while interval and ratio scales are used to measure quantitative data.

This study aims at quantifying the relationship between the marks of students and their seating position in the classroom. The study is cross-sectional, quantitative, observational, and correlational. It analyzed data collected throughout two academic years about the students’ marks (in different terms, courses, and degrees) and about their daily seating position (so, every change was recorded) for both theory and practice lessons. The quantitative data collected in the study was statistically analyzed. The main result is that the seating position is significantly correlated with the marks in the studied context (engineering schools with classrooms with 5-66 students). Other side results show a positive influence on marks of working alone with respect to sharing the computer with a classmate; indicate where do students who give up the course usually sit, and when in the academic term do, they give up. This article provides empirical data with regards to the relation between classroom seating and academic performance in engineering schools. The results obtained quantify this relation, but they cannot determine whether it is causal, consequential, or both. This study complements other studies that correlated motivation with seating preferences.

(This study has been conducted with the purpose of improving the level of HOTS (Higher order thinking skills) of Form 2 students through learning Thirukkural. For this study, the Thirukkural, a well-known literary work of Tamil Language was taken. Thus, this research was carried out in a secondary school which is located at Taiping, Perak. The research was carried out under the design of action research. The sample of this study consisted of ten Form 2 students. Besides that, a teacher also interviewed in order to know the students' personality in learning Thirukkural. In this research, the learning process of Thirukkural approach was implemented for 6 weeks. There are 6 couplets of Thirukkural selected according to the syllabus of Form 1 and Form 2. This six couplets of Thirukkural used to test the level of HOTS. The questions were created based on Thirukkural, according to Revised Bloom's Taxonomy. The data of the study was collected through pre-test, the questions asked in Thirukkural classes and post-test via qualitative and quantitative data collection tools. The findings obtained through qualitative and quantitative data collections showed that the level of HOTS through learning Thirukkural among Form 2 students has improved.)

Trade shows are typically second only to personal selling in business-to-business promotional expenditures. As a result, trade show attendees are often inundated with product offerings by competing firms. In order to successfully vie for attention, firms must find ways to engage attendees and potential consumers. A key component of engaging with a brand is considering how consumers experience the brand. This research examines the dynamics which enhance brand engagement by understanding the factors which contribute to the brand experience of attendees at trade shows. Both qualitative and quantitative data collected from actual trade show attendees highlight the dimensions of brand experience and indicate that a positive brand experience is related to product adoption, which in turn is related to advocacy for the brand. Considering how to shape the brand experience of consumers in trade show settings enables a brand to successfully compete for attention with other offerings as well as helps to foster engagement levels that eventually lead to positive outcomes for the firm. Implications for considering brand experience as a key element of trade show marketing strategy are discussed.
