The article presents the results of a study of the features of reflection and the type of decision-making in adolescents. The sample was 60 people (55% girls, 45% boys). It were used the questionnaire «Differential Test of Reflection» (D.A. Leontiev et al.) and «Melbourne decision-making questionnaire» (T.V. Kornilova). The results showed the predominance of quasi-reflection, which manifests itself in idle speculation on insignificant life events, as well as a low level of development of systemic reflection. The preferred style of decision-making is procrastination, which means postpone solutions. Correlation analysis allowed us to confirm the hypothesis that the level of systemic reflection increases with age. At the same time, a positive correlation was found between systemic reflection and such a decision-making style as «avoidance». We assume the influence of an unaccounted variable.

This research explores how marketing managers can avoid the so-called false consensus effect—the egocentric tendency to project personal preferences onto consumers. Two pilot studies were conducted to provide evidence for the managerial importance of this research question and to explore how marketing managers attempt to avoid false consensus effects in practice. The results suggest that the debiasing tactic most frequently used by marketers is to suppress their personal preferences when predicting consumer preferences. Four subsequent studies show that, ironically, this debiasing tactic can backfire and increase managers’ susceptibility to the false consensus effect. Specifically, the results suggest that these backfire effects are most likely to occur for managers with a low level of preference certainty. In contrast, the results imply that preference suppression does not backfire but instead decreases false consensus effects for managers with a high level of preference certainty. Finally, the studies explore the mechanism behind these results and show how managers can ultimately avoid false consensus effects—regardless of their level of preference certainty and without risking backfire effects.

In order to maximize knowledge sharing and reuse in networked manufacturing process and improve the rapidity and reliability of decision-making, a knowledge-integration model and its implementation methods are proposed in this paper. First, the requirement for knowledge integration in networked manufacturing is analyzed. On this basis, a knowledge-integration model is built, and then three key technologies are studied, namely knowledge representation and organization based on ontology, knowledge correlation analysis based on complex network and knowledge supply based on decision-making context. This model provides an effective way to realize the optimum distribution of knowledge in networked manufacturing process and to improve the efficiency of decision-making process.

The links between elements of the decision-making system on the presence of corruption risk (CR) in a situation with the logical component of thinking as a predictor are considered. The hypothesis of the role of logical reasoning component as a predictor of (1) perceptions of corruption, (2) indicators of emotional intelligence and (3) moral judgement was tested on a sample of Moscow university students (N=134; M=35±11 years old). The following diagnostic tools were used: (1) the author's test for recognising CR situations, (2) the method for assessing the content of ideas about corruption (Pogozhina, Pshenichnyuk, Sergeyeva), (3) D. Lucin’s EmIn questionnaire, (4) Molchanov's Justice-Care technique. Correlation analysis and structural modeling were used to process the data. The logical component of thinking was a significant positive predictor of the level of development of perceptions of corruption and understanding one’s own emotions and those of others. Also, the logical component significantly negatively predicted moral judgments based on instrumental individualism, reflexive empathic orientation and unconscious but internalized moral values. The findings suggest that the logical component will play a leading role in the CR decision-making system and should be specifically shaped.

Cooperation among sensors in a wireless sensor network, deployed for industrial monitoring in an indoor scenario, is a topic of interest in the smart factory and smart city research. The indoor wireless communication channel is very harsh and the observations of all the sensors cannot be sent reliably to the base station. Failure to transmit correct sensing results to the base station may result in false alarms or missed detection of events. Therefore, we propose a cooperation scheme for the wireless sensors to send the data reliably to the base station. Our aim is to increase the reliability of the received information, reduce the probability of error, lower the overall power consumption, and keep the latency to an acceptable low level. We propose a reliability factor feedback algorithm to adjust the weight of unreliable sensors in the decision-making process. The proposed scheme is analyzed based on its latency, power consumption, and packet delivery ratio. Our results show significant improvement in the reliability of the received data, improved packet delivery, and reduced false alarm ratio for full repetition and cluster head-based cooperation. The power consumption and latency in data transmission are also kept to an acceptable low level.

Linezolid can cause serious haematological toxicity, such as thrombocytopenia and aneamia. Heme, composed of iron and porphyrin, is an important component of hemoglobin. In order to investigate the relationship between the concentration of linezolid and heme in the plasma of infected patients, a UPLC-MS/MS method that can determine the concentrations of linezolid and heme simultaneously was developed and validated. A total of 96 healthy subjects and 81 infected patients, who received blood routine blood tests, were included and determined by the UPLC-MS/MS method. The results showed that the concentration of linezolid was 5.08 ± 3.46   μ g / mL in infected patients who were treated with linezolid. The heme in healthy subjects was 7.05 ± 8.68   μ g / mL , and it was significantly decreased to 0.88 ± 0.79   μ g / mL in infected patients ( P < 0.01 ). Spearman correlation analysis showed that linezolid had a high negative correlation with platelet (PLT) ( R = − 0.309 ). Heme had a high positive correlation with hemoglobin (Hb) ( R = 0.249 ) in healthy subjects and infected patients. The ROC analysis showed that heme had diagnostic value to distinguish low Hb (110 g/L). In conclusion, there was a positive correlation between heme and Hb, and this correlation was also observed in infected patients. A high concentration of linezolid was inclined to decrease PLT. Monitoring of heme and linezolid helps in the early diagnose of low Hb and PLT.

Vocational aptitude and interest are the fundamental factors that education and career counselors utilize to provide suggestions to clients. These concepts are often considered as separate constructs. However, aptitude and interest are interrelated and should both be considered when making career decisions. This study involved as many as 343 university students as participants. Two measurement tools were used: Employee Aptitude Survey (EAS) to measure aptitude and Self-Directed Search (SDS) Holland to measure vocational interest. The data were analyzed using canonical and Pearson product-moment correlation analysis. The findings show that there is a correlation between several types of interest and several types of aptitude. Vocational interest that has the strongest correlation with aptitude was the investigative interest, while the numerical aptitude test has the strongest correlation with interest. In the process of career decision-making, particularly for university students, both aptitude and interest must be taken into consideration, especially the investigative interest and numerical aptitude.

Introduction. In this study, there were examined features of the impact of exam stress on mental performance and anxiety level in 2-3 year students of medical and pedagogical universities. Materials and methods. The levels of reactive and personal anxiety were studied according to the C. Spielberger anxiety scale adapted by Yu. L. Khanin, attention was assessed using the Pieron-Rüser test, the Bourdon-Anfimov correction test was used to study the level of mental performance, the type of temperament was determined using a two-factor model of extraversion and neuroticism using questionnaire H.J. Eysenck. The study was implemented in two stages: the first stage - during the semester period, and the second stage - during the examination session. For processing the data obtained during the study, a standard statistical software package was used, and correlation analysis was used to identify the relationships between the variables studied. Results. The assessment of situational anxiety in the second stage showed a statistically significant increase in the number of students with high and extremely high levels of anxiety in 24 and 3 respondents from the 1 group respectively (p ≤ 0.05), and 17 and 3 respondents in group 2, respectively (p ≤ 0.05). Correlation analysis of the relationship between reactive anxiety and mental performance showed a weak and medium correlation among students in both groups. The attention study in both groups showed that in the second stage of the study, the indices change: in 1 group, the proportion of students with a low level of attention increased to 40%, and in 2 the number of students with low and very low level of attention decreased by 2.77% and 11.08%, respectively (p ≤ 0.05). Conclusion. Increased study loads and requirements for students were proved to contribute to an increase in the level of reactive anxiety, in the period between sessions indices of mental performance in students decrease, respectively, and the level of attention declines.

Introduction Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (KNF) is a malignant squamous cell tumor occurring in the nasopharyngeal epithelial region where the cuboid epithelium is transformed into squamous cells. One of the typical signs of malignancy is uncontrolled cell proliferation. K67 is an immunohistochemical (IHC) test to assess cell proliferation activity. Increased Ki67 expression is associated with increased mitotic activity in cell proliferation. Objective To determine the correlation of ki67 expression to regional and distant metastases events of nasopharyngeal carcinoma at KNF in Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Methods This cross-sectional study was conducted on 31 subjects of KNF patients who had been diagnosed in Oncology Division of Department of Ear Nose and Throat Head Neck Surgery, then performed immunohistochemistry inspection of KI67 in Department of Anatomical Pathology of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. The subjects were collected consecutive sampling from October to December 2017 and performed other tests for staging such as computer tomography, chest x ray and abdominal ultrasound. Results In the Ki67 level correlation analysis of the incidence of metastasis in nasopharyngeal carcinoma, the correlation coefficient was 0.98 with very strong correlation strength and the positive correlation was not statistically significant (p=0.599). However, in Ki67 level correlation analysis of histopathology result of nasopharyngeal carcinoma was found correlation coefficient of 0.385 and positive correlation which was statistically significant (p=0.032). Conclusion Ki67 levels of metastatic occurrence in nasopharyngeal carcinoma have no statistically significant correlation. However, Ki67 level on histopathological results of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and Ki67 immunoreactivity with primary tumor has a statistically significant correlation.

BACKGROUND Clinical decision support (CDS) is a tool that helps clinicians in decision making by generating clinical alerts to supplement their previous knowledge and experience. However, CDS generates a high volume of irrelevant alerts, resulting in alert fatigue among clinicians. Alert fatigue is the mental state of alerts consuming too much time and mental energy, which often results in relevant alerts being overridden unjustifiably, along with clinically irrelevant ones. Consequently, clinicians become less responsive to important alerts, which opens the door to medication errors. OBJECTIVE This study aims to explore how a blockchain-based solution can reduce alert fatigue through collaborative alert sharing in the health sector, thus improving overall health care quality for both patients and clinicians. METHODS We have designed a 4-step approach to answer this research question. First, we identified five potential challenges based on the published literature through a scoping review. Second, a framework is designed to reduce alert fatigue by addressing the identified challenges with different digital components. Third, an evaluation is made by comparing MedAlert with other proposed solutions. Finally, the limitations and future work are also discussed. RESULTS Of the 341 academic papers collected, 8 were selected and analyzed. MedAlert securely distributes low-level (nonlife-threatening) clinical alerts to patients, enabling a collaborative clinical decision. Among the solutions in our framework, Hyperledger (private permissioned blockchain) and BankID (federated digital identity management) have been selected to overcome challenges such as data integrity, user identity, and privacy issues. CONCLUSIONS MedAlert can reduce alert fatigue by attracting the attention of patients and clinicians, instead of solely reducing the total number of alerts. MedAlert offers other advantages, such as ensuring a higher degree of patient privacy and faster transaction times compared with other frameworks. This framework may not be suitable for elderly patients who are not technology savvy or in-patients. Future work in validating this framework based on real health care scenarios is needed to provide the performance evaluations of MedAlert and thus gain support for the better development of this idea. The excessive use of antibiotics speeds up the dissemination and aggregation of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in the environment. The ARGs have been regarded as a contaminant of serious environmental threats on a global scale. The constant increase in aquaculture production has led to extensive use of antibiotics as a means to prevent and treat bacterial infections; there is a universal concern about the environmental risk of ARGs in the aquaculture environment. In this study, a survey was conducted to evaluate the abundance and distributions of 10 ARGs, bacterial community, and environmental factors in sediment samples from aquatic farms distributed in Anhui (AP1, AP2, and AP3), Fujian (FP1, FP2, and FP3), Guangxi (GP1, GP2, and GP3), Hainan (HP1, HP2, and HP3), and Shaanxi (SP1, SP2, and SP3) Province in China. The results showed that the relative abundance of total ARGs was higher in AP1, AP2, AP3, FP3, GP3, HP1, HP2, and HP3 than that in FP1, FP2, GP1, GP2, SP1, SP2, and SP3. The sul1 and tetW genes of all sediment samples had the highest abundance. The class 1 integron (intl1) was detected in all samples, and the result of Pearson correlation analysis showed that the intl1 has a positive correlation with the sul1, sul2, sul3, blaOXA, qnrS, tetM, tetQ, and tetW genes. Correlation analysis of the bacterial community diversity and environmental factors showed that the Ca2+ concentration has a negative correlation with richness and diversity of the bacterial community in these samples. Of the identified bacterial community, Proteobacteria, Firmicutes, Chloroflexi, and Bacteroidota were the predominant phyla in these samples. Redundancy analysis showed that environmental factors (TN, TP, Cl–, and Ca2+) have a positive correlation with the bacterial community (AP1, GP1, GP2, GP3, SP1, SP2, and SP3), and the abundance of ARGs (sul1, tetW, qnrS, and intl1) has a positive correlation with the bacterial community (AP2, AP3, HP1, HP2, and HP3). Based on the network analysis, the ARGs (sul1, sul2, blaCMY, blaOXA, qnrS, tetW, tetQ, tetM, and intl1) were found to co-occur with bacterial taxa from the phyla Chloroflexi, Euryarchaeota, Firmicutes, Halobacterota, and Proteobacteria. In conclusion, this study provides an important reference for understanding the environmental risk associated with aquaculture activities in China.
