Depresi pada diabetes mellitus tipe 2 lebih umum pada: wanita, ras minoritas, seseorang yang tidak menikah di usia paruh baya, status sosial, ekonomi rendah dan tidak bekerja. Kurangnya perhatian pada kondisi ini seharusnya tidak terjadi, untuk itu kita memerlukan metode psikoterapi untuk membantu pasien diabetes mellitus dalam menangani depresi.Banyak metode psikoterapi yang bisa digunakan, salah satunya adalah teknik kebebasan emosional spiritual. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pemberian terapi Spiritual Emotional Fredoom Technique (SEFT) untuk mengurangi tingkat depresi pada pasien diabetes militus di Wilayah Kerja Pusat Kesehatan Singkawang Barat pada tahun 2018. Desain penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan pre dan post test tanpa kontrol. Hipotesis yang digunakan adalah Ha yaitu Intervensi Teknik Spiritual Emotional Freedom (SEFT) untuk mengurangi tingkat depresi pada pasien Diabetes Millitus, instrument pengumpulan data menggunakan dengan Beck Depression Inventory yang sudah dimodifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah karakteristik responden sebagian besar responden berusia 40-60 tahun 17 responden (68%), mayoritas adalah responden perempuan 17 responden (68%), bekerja sebagai ibu rumah tangga 13 responden (52%), pendidikan Responden SMA 9 (36%) dan sebagian besar responden menderita DM selama <5 tahun sebanyak 15 responden (60%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan nilai antara sebelum dan sesudah melakukan terapi Spiritual Emotion Freedom Technique (SEFT) untuk responden yang dilakukan dengan Wilcoxon Test menghasilkan nilai probabilitas 0,000 (nilai p> 0,05), yang menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah perawatan pada pasien diabetes mellitus. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian terapi SEFT dapat mengurangi depresi pada pasien dengan diabetes mellitus di wilayah Puskesmas Singkawang Barat. Kata kunci: depresi, diabetes millitus, teknik kebebasan emosional spiritual FREDOOM THERAPY SPRITUAL THERAPY THERAPY REDUCES DEPRESSION IN DIABETES MILLITUS PATIENTS ABSTRACTIt turns out that depression in type 2 diabetes mellitus is more common in: women, racial minorities, someone who is not married in middle age, social status, low economy and not work. Lack of attention to this condition should not occur, for that we need a method of psychotherapy to help patients with diabetes mellitus in dealing with depression. Many psychotherapy methods that can be used, one of which is the spiritual emotional freedom technique. The purpose of this study was to identify the provision of Spiritual Emotional Fredoom Technique (SEFT) therapy to reduce levels of depression in diabetes millitus patients in the Working Area of Singkawang Barat Health Center in 2018. The design of this study is a quasi experiment with pre and post test without control. The hypothesis used is Ha namely the Intervention of Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) to reduce the level of depression in Diabetes Millitus patients. The results of this study are the characteristics of the respondents most of the respondents aged 40-60 years 17 respondents (68%), the majority are female respondents 17 respondents (68%), work as housewives 13 respondents (52%), education SMA 9 respondents (36%) and most of the respondents suffered from DM for <5 years as many as 15 respondents (60%). The results showed differences in values between before and after conducting Spiritual Emotion Freedom Technique (SEFT) therapy for respondents conducted with the Wilcoxon Test resulting in a probability value of 0,000 (p value> 0.05), which indicates a significant difference between before and after treatment in diabetes mellitus patients. The conclusion from the above research shows that the administration of SEFT therapy can reduce depression in patients with diabetes mellitus in the area of Singkawang Barat Health Center in 2018 and it is recommended that psychotherapy is needed by patients experiencing psychosocial problems due to physical illness, one of which is depression. Keywords: depresi, diabetes millitus, spiritual emaotional freedom technique

The incidence of diabetes mellitus shows an increasing prevalence today. This condition is influenced by the lack of knowledge of clients in the management of Diabetes Mellitus. Efforts to increase knowledge can be done through education using media and effective methods. The use of audiovisual media is believed to be the most effective media in conveying information. Education in this study used audiovisual media that was applied in conjunction with the demonstration method. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of education with audiovisual media and demonstration methods on the ability to do foot exercises in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in the work area of KerengBangkirai Health Center, Palangka Raya. The research method used was a quasy experiment with one group pre and post-test design. The sampling technique was done by purposive sampling as many as 30 peoples. The results showed that there were differences in knowledge and ability to do foot exercise before and after the education which was shown from the results of the paired t-test obtained p-value = 0,000 <a = 0.05. Foot exercise education with audiovisual media and demonstrations had an effect on the ability to do foot exercise in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in the working area of Kereng Bangkirai Health Center.

Background: every parent wants a child who can grow and develop optimally according to its age category. One of the factors that can influence growth and development is the quality of sleep, due to 75% growth hormone produced when the baby sleeps. Sleep quality of babies can be stimulated through the act of giving massage baby. Objective: this study aims to determine the effect of infant massage on improvement the quality of sleep for infants aged 3-10 months in a village of Banguntapan Public Health Center II. Research method: this research is a pre-experiment research with an approach in one group (one-group pre-post test design without control). Data analysis used is the Wilcoxon test. This research was carried out in the Working Area Village Banguntapan II Health Center, with a population of 64 infants aged 3-10 months. Technique sampling using purposive sampling, which is the number of 15 babies aged 3-10 month. Providing education and demonstration of baby massage is done once, then massage done by parents of babies every day within 3 weeks, and observed by researchers every 2 days. Sleep quality was measured using the A Brief Screening Questionnaire For Infant Sleep Problems (BISQ). Results: Before being given massage the majority of the quality of bad baby sleep was 14 respondents (93.3%), then after being given massage for 3 weeks there was an increase in quality sleep where all babies have good sleep quality of 15 respondents (100%). Comparative test results infant massage between before and after massage is p value 0.000 (p value <0.005). Conclusion: there is the effect of infant massage on improving the quality of sleep for infants aged 3-10 months at Village of Bangutapan II Health Center.

ABSTRAKAir merupakan kebutuhan bagi setiap kehidupan, semua makhluk hidup memerlukan air dalam kehidupannnya sehingga tanpa air dapat dipastikan tidak akan ada kehidupan. Sebagian besar masyarakat yang mengalami kesulitan memperoleh air bersih untuk digunakan sebagai air minum tersebut adalah masyarakat yang tinggal di perdesaan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap masyarakat tentang cara pengelolaan air minum di Desa Pemurus RT.3B Kecamatan Aluh-Aluh. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah masyarakat Desa Pemurus RT.3B Kecamatan Aluh-Aluh yang berjumlah 15 orang. Kegiatan ini sebagai salah satu bentuk untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap masyarakat tentang cara pengelolaan air minum. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan intervensi berupa penyuluhan yang dilakukan melalui media whatsApp group. Hasil pre dan post test dilakukan analisis statistik menggunakan uji wilcoxon untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan intervensi. Hasil penyuluhan ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil pre test dan post test pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan penyuluhan (p-value=0,038). Namun pada sikap didapatkan hasil tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara sikap masyarakat sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan penyuluhan (p-value=1,000). Diharapkan masyarakat bisa mengelola air minum agar nantinya dapat menciptakan derajat kesehatan yang lebih baik. Kata kunci: air bersih; pengelolaan air minum; penyuluhan ABSTRACTWater is a necessity for every life, all living things need water in their life so that without water it is certain that there will be no life. Most of the people who have difficulty obtaining clean water to use as drinking water are people who live in rural areas. This activity aims to increase public knowledge and attitudes about how to manage drinking water in Pemurus Village RT.3B, Aluh-Aluh District. The target of this activity is the Pemurus Village community, RT.3B, Aluh-Aluh District, totaling 15 people. This activity is a form of increasing community knowledge and attitudes about how to manage drinking water. The method of implementing intervention activities is in the form of counseling carried out through whatsapp group media. The results of the pre and post tests were statistically analyzed using the Wilcoxon test to determine whether there were differences before and after the intervention. The results of this counseling showed that there were differences in the results of the pre-test and post-test of knowledge before and after the counseling (p-value 0.038). However, in attitudes, the results showed that there was no significant difference between the attitudes of the community before and after the counseling (p-value 1,000). Educational activities is one strategy to the management of diabetes mellitus. Education is the activity of delivering health messages to groups or individuals in order to gain a better knowledge. The selected media is pocket books and leaflets, booklets chosen because it is simple, brief, and contains a lot of information. The purpose of this study to determine the effectiveness of the use of educational media pocket books and leaflets on knowledge and dietary compliance of outpatients with diabetes mellitus type 2 in the clinic. The research is a Quasi-Experiment with design used is Pretest-Posttest designnamely in the two groups conducted a pretest to determine the initial state before being given a different treatment, and both were also given the posttestusing the Wilcoxon test and Mann-Whitney test with a significance level of = 0.05. The results showed no significant differences in knowledge after being given nutrition education with media pocket books and leaflets p value. knowledge of 0,000 (Sig. <0.05), whereas the p values   obtained compliance. amounted to 0,641 (p. <0.05) showed no significant difference in adherence respondents after being given nutrition education with media pocket books and leaflets. It is concluded that there are differences in knowledge after being given nutrition education with media pocket books and leaflets. However there was no difference in compliance after being given nutrition education with media pocket books and leaflets.

<p>Elevated  cholesterol  level is one of  the risks  for cardiovascular disease  in diabetes mellitus. Exercise is one of therapy in patients with diabetes mellitus. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of exercise on decrease cholesterol levels in patients with diabetes mellitus. This study used pre-post test one group design. Twenty-two patients with diabetes mellitus followed the intervention which is a twice a week exercise for 4 weeks. Cholesterol levels were measured before and after exercise. Data were analyzed by  dependent T-test. Cholesterol  levels in patients with  diabetes  mellitus before  the exercise reached 261.18±49.013 mg/dL and after intervention decreased to 224.41±26 mg/dL. Dependent t-test showed differences in cholesterol levels before and after exercise in patients with diabetes mellitus (p&lt;0.05). Exercise can lower cholesterol levels in patients with diabetes mellitus.</p>

Changes in lifestyle from year to year increasingly experiencing developments in all fields, including influencing the type of food and consumption patterns and lifestyles. The increasing number of instant foods and drinks with high calorie, low fiber and high fat content increases the risk of developing metabolic and degenerative diseases. Coupled with a lifestyle that lacks physical activity. One of the metabolic and degenerative disorders that arise is diabetes mellitus. This type of research is a quasy experiment pre and post test one group design of 34 respondents. This research will describe the increase in knowledge, diet compliance and control of blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes mellitus at RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado. Data analysis for prior and after knowledge using the Wilcoxon test and the level of dietary compliance before and after using the Paired t-test. The results showed that the knowledge of the sample after being given nutritional counseling using food videos increased by 35.3%, from 64.7% to be better, the level of adherence to the patient's diet after being given nutritional counseling using food videos increased by 2.9% from 97.1% and sugar levels blood after being given nutritional counseling using food video media decreased from 261.8 mg / dL to 195.2 md / dL

Diabetes mellitus dapat menyebabkan cukup banyak komplikasi seperti kelainan mata, kelainan ginjal, kelainan pembuluh darah dan kelainan pada kaki. Penderita diabetes mellitus yang mengalami komplikasi kronis perlu diberikan upaya preventif untuk mencegah komplikasi, salah satunya adalah kemampuan perawatan kaki. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji efektivitas supportive educative system dalam meningkatkan kemandirian perawatan kaki pada pasien dengan diabetes mellitus Tipe II di Puskesmas Permata Sukarame, Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasy eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest with control group dengan total masing-masing kelompok sebanyak 18 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada responden yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi penelitian. Penelitian ini diuji menggunakan analisis univariat, bivariat dan uji T-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata dalam kemandirian perawatan kaki pada kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol dengan p-value 0,000. Pendidikan dan praktik perawatan kaki harus diberikan sejak dini sebagai upaya pencegahan untuk komplikasi.   Kata kunci : Supportive educative system, kemandirian perawatan kaki   SUPPORTIVE EDUCATIVE SYSTEM IN IMPROVING INDEPENDENCE OF FOOT CARE IN PATIENTS WITH DIABETES MELLITUS TYPE II   ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus can cause quite a lot of complications such as eye disorders, kidney disorders, vascular disorders and abnormalities in the legs. Patients with diabetes mellitus who have chronic complications need to be given a preventive effort to prevent complications, one of which is foot care ability. This research was conducted to examine the effectiveness of supportive educative systems in increasing the independence of foot care in patients with Type II diabetes mellitus in the Permata Sukarame Health Center Bandar Lampung Working Area. This study used a quasi-experimental method with pretest-posttest with control group design with a total of 18 respondents each. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires to respondents who meet the research inclusion criteria. This study was tested using univariate, bivariate, T-Test analysis. The results showed that the mean differences in the independence of foot care in the intervention group and the control group in the Permata Sukarame Community Health Center work area with a p-value of 0,000. Education and practice of foot care should be given early as a preventative effort for complications.   Keywords: Supportive educative system, independence of foot care

Diabetes mellitus is one of the communicable diseases that have become a public health problem, not only in Indonesia but also the world. Currently morbidity of diabetes mellitus is increasing every year, where in 2006 there were 14 million people in 2011 and ranks fourth with 773 cases. DM is also a cause of disease mortality by 5.8%. And Samarinda own particular Islamic Hospital years 2009, there were 449 patients with DM, and 2011 an increase in the 1931 patients with diabetes mellitus. To increase patients’ knowledge about diabetes and diabetic patients be directing attitudes that support or positive attitude towards keeping blood glucose levels to remain normal. Methode to use pra eksperiment with one group pretest posttest. individual conseling withAudiovisual media. There is increased knowledge about diabetes diabetic patients before and after intervention with increasing value of 3.77 (p value = 0.000) and increase in attitudes regarding diabetes mellitus diabetic patients with an increase in the value of 5,35 (p value = 0.003). There was an increase in knowledge and attitudes of patients hospitalized with diabetes mellitus hospital after islam samarinda given nutritional counseling using audio-visual media

Diabetes mellitus (DM) can cause physical and psychological changes for sufferers. Psychological changes include changes in self-concept and depression. Psychological changes can be treated with nonpharmacological therapies, one of which is five-finger relaxation technique. The research aimed to reveal the effect of five-finger relaxation technique on depression experienced by type 2 DM patients. The five-finger relaxation technique is one of the generalist relaxation techniques by recalling pleasant experiences. This research is a quasi-experiment. Samples of this research were 34 respondents whom were selected using purposive sampling.  The intervention was carried out once a day for 3 consecutive days.  In order to measure depression, a valid and reliable questionnaire of Indonesian version of the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) was employed.  Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Test and the Mann-Whitney Test. The results showed the was a decrease in depression in the control group (p-value of 0.008) and the intervention group (p-value of 0.000) and there were differences in depression in the control group and the intervention group (p-value of 0.000). It can be concluded that there is an effect of five-finger relaxation technique on depression in type 2 DM patients<em>.</em>

Background: Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that requires treatment for long periods of time so it can cause physical and psychological problems for sufferers and families (caregiver). Caregiver's role is expected to provide support for people with diabetes mellitus. Family psychoeducation is a strategy that can be applied for caregiver in overcoming problems that arise during the treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus.Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of family psychoeducation on caregiver support in the treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus type II.Methods: This research used a quasi experiment with  pre-test post-test control group design. A total of 46 caregivers and patients with diabetes mellitus were recruited puposively, with 23 respondents assigned in the experiment and control group. Caregiver support scale was used to measure caregiver support, and Hensarling Diabetes Family Support Scale (HDFSS) for measuring perception of patients toward the treatment of caregiver.  Data were analyzed using paired t-test and independent t-test. Results: Findings showed there was an increase of caregiver knowledge from 5.39 to 9.09 and an improvement of caregiver treatment from 40.30 to 67.04 after given family psychoeducation. There was a significant difference of caregiver support in the experimental and control group with p-value <0.001 (<0.05).Conclusion: Family psychoeducation can increase caregiver support in the treatment of diabetes mellitus patients. The intervention can be one of nurses interventions in the empowerment of family in improving the treatment of chronic diseases, particularly in diabetes mellitus.
