Changes in lifestyle from year to year increasingly experiencing developments in all fields, including influencing the type of food and consumption patterns and lifestyles. The increasing number of instant foods and drinks with high calorie, low fiber and high fat content increases the risk of developing metabolic and degenerative diseases. Coupled with a lifestyle that lacks physical activity. One of the metabolic and degenerative disorders that arise is diabetes mellitus. This type of research is a quasy experiment pre and post test one group design of 34 respondents. This research will describe the increase in knowledge, diet compliance and control of blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes mellitus at RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado. Data analysis for prior and after knowledge using the Wilcoxon test and the level of dietary compliance before and after using the Paired t-test. The results showed that the knowledge of the sample after being given nutritional counseling using food videos increased by 35.3%, from 64.7% to be better, the level of adherence to the patient's diet after being given nutritional counseling using food videos increased by 2.9% from 97.1% and sugar levels blood after being given nutritional counseling using food video media decreased from 261.8 mg / dL to 195.2 md / dL

Diabetes mellitus is one of chronic disease whose incidence increases. The success of diabetes mellitus treatment is strongly influenced by patient compliance to carry out treatment. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of peer support on dietary compliance of diabetes mellitus sufferers at Randu Agung RW X. This study used pre-experiment one-group pre-post test design on sample of 28 diabetes mellitus sufferers in Randu Agung RW X, used purposive sampling technique. The instrument used Satuan Acara Kegiatan (SAK), attendance list, and compliance questionnaire of diabetes mellitus with 3J program. The analysis of the data used the Mc Nemar test. The statistical test results obtained P <0.05 (0.000), it meant H1 was accepted; there was an effect between peer support and dietary compliance in diabetes mellitus sufferers. Peer support is a new technique to control the blood sugar levels of people with diabetes by involving peers who have similar diseases to share experiences, provide support, and motivation so that enthusiasm in running their dietary increases. If someone sees other people successfully controlling their blood sugar levels through good dietary compliance, it will foster that person's enthusiasm to be able to comply with the diabetes mellitus dietary program. The implication of the study results is that providing education with peer support can help other people in similar situations to increase dietary compliance in diabetes mellitus sufferers.

Abstract: Elderly is individuals over 60 years old. Aging in the elderly is a physiological process. Increased blood sugar levels are common among the elderly due to aging and can be prevented by exercising regularly. Elderly gymnastic is a light exercise that can easily be done and not burdensome which applicable to the elderly. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of elderly gymnastic on blood sugar levels in elderly. This research is an experimental design of the field with one group pre-post test. Respondents are elderly who are living in BPLU Senja Cerah Manado. Blood sampling was done before and after treatment is given. Eighteen respondents were given preferential treatment in the form of elderly gymnastic routine three times a week for eight weeks. The results were tested with Wilcoxon test to determine the effect of elderly gymnastic on fasting glucose levels in elderly before and after treatment. The result showed that average fasting glucose levels was 101.6 mg/dL and average fasting glucose after treatment was 122,6 mg/dL. There is an effect of elderly gymnastic on blood sugar levels by an increase on blood sugar levels in elderly.Keywords: elderly, exercise, elderly gymnastic, blood sugarAbstrak: Lansia adalah seseorang dengan usia diatas 60 tahun. Pada lansia terjadi proses penuaan yang merupakan proses fisiologis. Peningkatan kadar gula darah yang umum dialami lansia akibat proses penuaan dapat dicegah dengan berolahraga secara teratur. Senam lansia adalah olahraga ringan yang mudah dilakukan dan tidak memberatkan yang dapat diterapkan pada lansia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh senam lansia terhadap kadar gula darah lansia. Penelitian bersifat eksperimental lapangan dengan rancangan pre-post one group test. Responden merupakan lansia di BPLU Senja Cerah Manado. Pengambilan darah dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan. Responden berjumlah 18 orang dan diberikan perlakuan berupa senam lansia secara rutin tiga kali dalam satu minggu selama delapan minggu. Hasil penelitian diuji dengan uji Wilcoxon yang digunakan untuk menentukan pengaruh senam lansia terhadap kadar gula darah puasa, sebelum dan sesudah perlakukan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa rerata kadar gula darah puasa sebelum senam lansia adalah 101,6 mg/dL dan kadar gula darah puasa setelah senam lansia adalah 122,6 mg/dL. Ada pengaruh senam lansia terhadap kadar gula darah berupa peningkatan kadar gula darah pada lansia.Kata kunci: lansia, olahraga, senam lansia, gula darah

ABSTRACT   Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease that increased every year and caused many complications. There are four pillars in the management of DM, namely education, nutrition, pharmacology and physical training. According to PERKENI, physical exercise for people with DM can be done 3-4x/week with a duration of 30 minutes. This study aims to determine the effect of exercise moderate activities carried out by Diabetes Mellitus in Muhammadiyah Hospital Palembang on blood sugar levels at a time. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a total sample of 30 people who were obtained by total sampling. The research data was taken by checking blood sugar before and after physical activity with aerobic type, which is done 1x/week for four weeks by using Easy Touch GCU. Wilcoxon test results found a p-value of 0.285 which means moderate exercise activities carried out by people with diabetes in Palembang Muhammadiyah Hospital which is carried out once a week for four weeks does not affect blood sugar levels at the time.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease characterized by blood glucose levels exceeding normal and impaired metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins due to a relative or absolute deficiency of insulin hormones. This study aimed to determine the relationship between dietary compliance, physical activity, and adherence to taking medication with blood sugar levels when in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This type of research was analytical with a cross-specific approach that uses a sample of 46 Rejang tribal diabetes mellitus patients who come to Curup Health Center, Prumnas Health Center and Delima Village Health Center during the period of August to October 2018 which met the criteria for inclusion and exclusion. The instruments used were food recall forms, questionnaires, medical records and glucometers. The results of the study were processed by bivariate analysis using the chi square test and multivariate analysis with logistic regression test. The results of the bivariate statistical test dietary compliance variable p = 0.001 OR = 15,343, CI = 3,327-67,636, and the medication adherence variable p = 0,035, OR = 4,038, CI 1,061-15,370. There was a significant relationship between diet compliance, adherence to taking medication with blood sugar levels when in patients with diabetes melititus Rejang tribe Rejang Lebong District. DM patients are expected to always adhere to diet, physical activity and medication treatment.

Depresi pada diabetes mellitus tipe 2 lebih umum pada: wanita, ras minoritas, seseorang yang tidak menikah di usia paruh baya, status sosial, ekonomi rendah dan tidak bekerja. Kurangnya perhatian pada kondisi ini seharusnya tidak terjadi, untuk itu kita memerlukan metode psikoterapi untuk membantu pasien diabetes mellitus dalam menangani depresi.Banyak metode psikoterapi yang bisa digunakan, salah satunya adalah teknik kebebasan emosional spiritual. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pemberian terapi Spiritual Emotional Fredoom Technique (SEFT) untuk mengurangi tingkat depresi pada pasien diabetes militus di Wilayah Kerja Pusat Kesehatan Singkawang Barat pada tahun 2018. Desain penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan pre dan post test tanpa kontrol. Hipotesis yang digunakan adalah Ha yaitu Intervensi Teknik Spiritual Emotional Freedom (SEFT) untuk mengurangi tingkat depresi pada pasien Diabetes Millitus, instrument pengumpulan data menggunakan dengan Beck Depression Inventory yang sudah dimodifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah karakteristik responden sebagian besar responden berusia 40-60 tahun 17 responden (68%), mayoritas adalah responden perempuan 17 responden (68%), bekerja sebagai ibu rumah tangga 13 responden (52%), pendidikan Responden SMA 9 (36%) dan sebagian besar responden menderita DM selama <5 tahun sebanyak 15 responden (60%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan nilai antara sebelum dan sesudah melakukan terapi Spiritual Emotion Freedom Technique (SEFT) untuk responden yang dilakukan dengan Wilcoxon Test menghasilkan nilai probabilitas 0,000 (nilai p> 0,05), yang menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah perawatan pada pasien diabetes mellitus. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian terapi SEFT dapat mengurangi depresi pada pasien dengan diabetes mellitus di wilayah Puskesmas Singkawang Barat. Kata kunci: depresi, diabetes millitus, teknik kebebasan emosional spiritual FREDOOM THERAPY SPRITUAL THERAPY THERAPY REDUCES DEPRESSION IN DIABETES MILLITUS PATIENTS ABSTRACTIt turns out that depression in type 2 diabetes mellitus is more common in: women, racial minorities, someone who is not married in middle age, social status, low economy and not work. Many psychotherapy methods that can be used, one of which is the spiritual emotional freedom technique. The purpose of this study was to identify the provision of Spiritual Emotional Fredoom Technique (SEFT) therapy to reduce levels of depression in diabetes millitus patients in the Working Area of Singkawang Barat Health Center in 2018. The design of this study is a quasi experiment with pre and post test without control. The hypothesis used is Ha namely the Intervention of Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) to reduce the level of depression in Diabetes Millitus patients. The results of this study are the characteristics of the respondents most of the respondents aged 40-60 years 17 respondents (68%), the majority are female respondents 17 respondents (68%), work as housewives 13 respondents (52%), education SMA 9 respondents (36%) and most of the respondents suffered from DM for <5 years as many as 15 respondents (60%). The results showed differences in values between before and after conducting Spiritual Emotion Freedom Technique (SEFT) therapy for respondents conducted with the Wilcoxon Test resulting in a probability value of 0,000 (p value> 0.05), which indicates a significant difference between before and after treatment in diabetes mellitus patients. The conclusion from the above research shows that the administration of SEFT therapy can reduce depression in patients with diabetes mellitus in the area of Singkawang Barat Health Center in 2018 and it is recommended that psychotherapy is needed by patients experiencing psychosocial problems due to physical illness, one of which is depression. Keywords: depresi, diabetes millitus, spiritual emaotional freedom technique

Diabetes mellitus is one of the communicable diseases that have become a public health problem, not only in Indonesia but also the world. Currently morbidity of diabetes mellitus is increasing every year, where in 2006 there were 14 million people in 2011 and ranks fourth with 773 cases. DM is also a cause of disease mortality by 5.8%. And Samarinda own particular Islamic Hospital years 2009, there were 449 patients with DM, and 2011 an increase in the 1931 patients with diabetes mellitus. To increase patients’ knowledge about diabetes and diabetic patients be directing attitudes that support or positive attitude towards keeping blood glucose levels to remain normal. Methode to use pra eksperiment with one group pretest posttest. individual conseling withAudiovisual media. There is increased knowledge about diabetes diabetic patients before and after intervention with increasing value of 3.77 (p value = 0.000) and increase in attitudes regarding diabetes mellitus diabetic patients with an increase in the value of 5,35 (p value = 0.003). There was an increase in knowledge and attitudes of patients hospitalized with diabetes mellitus hospital after islam samarinda given nutritional counseling using audio-visual media

ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus (DM) in Indonesia is better known as diabetes and in Timor Leste DM known as Ra'an Midar has become a very serious health problem, and is the most common endocrine disease. Diabetes mellitus is a degenerative disease that is characterized by metabolic disorders or pancreatic damage so that the pancreas is unable to produce enough insulin to the maximum so that it can cause insulin deficiency in the body both absolute and relative can increase blood sugar levels or hyperglycemia. Data from the Dili District Health Office in 2018 showed that there were 2690 patients with diabetes mellitus, so that diabetic foot exercises were needed. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Tetum Language Diabetes Foot Gymnastic Education on Lower Circulation and Lower Blood Sugar Levels at the Saude Comoro Center, Dili, Timor Leste. Method : using the Pre-Experiment method. Independent variable: Education of Tetum Language Diabetes Foot Gymnastics Education, dependent variable: Circulation of Lower Extremity and Blood Sugar Level at a Time. Population 100 people, sample 28 people, sample technique: simple random, data collection: Examination of blood sugar levels, blood circulation, statistical tests: Wilcoxon Test. Results : Most respondents who had good blood circulation were 15 pre- test (53.6%) and 18 post-test (64.3%). And the majority of respondents whose blood sugar levels were good were 14 people pre-test (50.0%) and 20 people post test (71.4%). Based on the results of statistical tests using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, the value of blood circulation is a significant level of 0.005 and the blood sugar level is at a significant level of 0,000. Conclusion : Conclusion there is the influence of Education on Tetun Language Diabetes Foot Gymnastics on Lower Extracurricular Circulation and Blood Sugar Levels At the Saude Comoro Center, Dili, Timor Leste.  Keyword: Leg exercise, lower extremity bloodd circulation, Blood sugar levels, Diabetes mellitus.

ABSTRACT Background: An increase in blood sugar levels caused diabetes mellitus, and various other health complications. One of the herbal therapy approaches can be used by consuming mahogany seeds which are believed to reduce blood glucose levels. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of consuming mahogany seeds to reduce blood sugar levels. Subjects and Method: This was a quasi-experiment with non-randomized control group pretest-posttest design conducted on March 24-26 2020. A sample of 22 respondents was divided into 2 groups: treatment group and control group selected by purposive sampling. The data was collected by observation. The data was analysed by Paired t-test. Results: The treatment group before consuming the dry extract of Mahogany seeds (Mean= 258.27; SD= 46.98), and after consuming the dry extract of Mahogany seeds (Mean= 185.36; SD= 38.85). In the control group, before consuming the extract of Mahogany seed ekring (Mean= 224.27; SD= 14.73), and after consuming Mahogany seed extract (Mean= 213.27; SD= 6.75). It was statistically significant (p= 0.001). Conclusion: Consumption of dry extract of Mahogany seeds effectively reduces blood sugar levels in patients with Diabetes Mellitus. Diabetes Mellitus is a group of heterogeneous disorders characterized by elevated blood glucose levels or hyperglycemia. Counseling to people with Diabetes Mellitus about nutrition and healthy lifestyle is a method to raise awareness of Diabetes Mellitus patients to change food intake so as to improve blood glucose levels. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of nutrition counseling on nutrient intake and blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in the work area of ​​Motoling Puskesmas. The research type is pre experiment design with one group pretest and posttest approach. The population in this study were 55 outpatient Diabetes Mellitus patients at Motoling Puskesmas, a sample of 23 outpatient Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 patients at Motoling Puskesmas. Nutrition counseling using media leaflets is given four times a month. Data Food intake was taken by using food recall 24 hours, data of glucose level of patient was taken by doing autocheck blood sugar test and for characteristic data of respondent using questioner. To determine the difference of glucose level with carbohydrate and fat intake before and after nutritional counseling was analyzed by using paired test of T test and Wilcoxon test. The results showed that there was a significant difference between carbohydrate intake before and after nutritional counseling (p = 0.002 <α 0.05). Average carbohydrate intake before counseling 359.52 g and after counseling 290.09 g a decrease of 69.43 g. For fat intake showed no significant difference in carbohydrate intake before and after nutritional counseling (p = 0.009 <α 0.05). Average fat intake before counseling 128.61 g and after counseling 75.04 g decreased 53.56 g. While blood glucose levels showed no significant difference in carbohydrate intake before and after nutritional counseling (p = 0.000 <α 0.05). Mean blood glucose levels before counseling 255 mg / dl to 202.39 mg / dl decreased 52.60 mg / dl. Conclusion, there is a significant difference between nutrient intake and blood glucose levels in patients with Diabetes Mellitus type 2 in the work area of Motoling Puskesmas.

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder marked increase in blood glucose. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2013 the incidence of diabetes mellitus in the world reached 347 million people in Indonesia alone ranks among the seven countries with the highest diabetes prevalence of 7.6 million people. Among the causes of the increase in blood glucose levels in diabetics is due to psychological factors, namely anxiety. In the pre-survey results in Puskesmas Sumbersari Bantul note that from 8 patients with diabetes mellitus, there are 6 people experiencing anxiety and 2 do not complain any signs of anxiety. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of anxiety with blood glucose levels of diabetics mellitus in Puskesmas Sumbersari Bantul District of South Metro City. The type quantitative research, form design used is cross sectional. The population in this study are patients with diabetes mellitus in Puskesmas Sumbersari Bantul District of South Metro totaling 408 samples taken as many as 41 people. The analysis in this study using the test Person Product Moment. Statistical analysis showed that anxiety patients with diabetes mellitus are at an average score of 27.44 with a standard deviation of 4.353 and the average blood sugar levels of people with diabetes mellitus are at 339.78 mg / dL with a standard deviation of 74.742. In the Person Product Moment test results proved no relationship anxiety with blood sugar levels of people with diabetes mellitus (p-value = 0.000 <a 0.05). Pearson correlation results obtained value of 0.817 towards a positive correlation with the strength of the relationship is very strong. Conclusions research shows there is an anxiety relationship with blood glucose levels of diabetics mellitus.
