It is a must for children (infants and toddlers) to get more attention due to their health because their body’s protections are not yet strong. This makes them susceptible for germs, bacteria, and viruses attacks. Those attacks cause disease. This disease symptom could appear all of sudden to the children. It makes their parents afraid, especially for those who have less sensitiveness for the symptom. For this reason, I make an application based on android smartphone expert system to provide information on type of disease, treatment, and prevention based on the symptoms given. This application uses forward chaining and backward chaining inference engine to make conclusion, and Depth First Search algorithms for searching the method. The result shows that this application could help parents in giving some information about common diseases attacked to infants and toddlers. This application facilitates them in delivering information which can be accessed anywhere as first aid for infants and toddlers who indicated disease.

Tanah Laut Regency is the largest producer of broilers in South Kalimantan. However, public knowledge about symptoms and diseases in chickens is still lacking, so this is a problem that must be resolved because it can cause losses. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of overcoming this problem, namely by building an expert system application that can be used by the public and extension workers to diagnose chicken disease. The method used to build this system is a waterfall with the forward chaining technique as a forward-looking solution, meaning that inference is done by looking for input data in the form of symptom data in the form of chicken disease. The system built is equipped with features that display disease treatment and prevention solutions based on the symptoms that have been entered, so that disease-stricken chickens can be handled appropriately and quickly according to their disease. Based on blackbox testing carried out by involving potential users, the results obtained that all functionality can work as expected. Accuracy testing is also done by comparing manual calculations with an accuracy value of 95%. This is influenced by the weighting of the symptom value which affects the decrease in the value of the symptom result when compared to ideal conditions. In conclusion, the implications of using this system can make it easier for the community and instructor to diagnose chicken disease.

<p><strong><em>Abstract </em></strong><strong><em></em></strong></p><p><em>Infectious diseases have harmful effects if left unchecked. The limited number and working hours of health workers and the queue of patients makes handling and provision of first aid for patients to be not optimal. Then an expert system was developed which can help in diagnosing and allowing patients based on the facts experienced by the patient and cannot be directly with the doctor. In this study the method of forward chaining method to compile rules and based on certainty factor (CF) method is used to calculate the value of certainty so that the results are decided more clearly. The development phase of this method begins by gathering knowledge from experts or experts from various organizations and facts that build the knowledge base and provide CF values for each type of disease. Available information and problems based on the symptoms experienced by the patient. From the results of system testing, trials were conducted on 20 users, which resulted from the trial and compared with expert claims. Terbatasnya jumlah dan jam kerja tenaga kesehatan dan banyaknya antrian pasien membuat penanganan dan pemberian pertolongan pertama kepada pasien menjadi tidak optimal. Maka dibuat sistem pakar yang dapat membantu dalam mendiagnosis dan memberikan solusi kepada pasien berdasarkan gejala penyakit menular yang dialami pasien sehingga pasien tidak harus berkonsultasi langsung dengan dokter. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode forward chaining untuk penyusunan rule dan ditambahkan metode certainty factor (CF) yang digunakan untuk menghitung nilai kepastian agar hasil yang diputuskan lebih jelas. Tahapan pembangunan metode ini dimulai dengan mengumpulkan pengetahuan dari tenaga ahli atau pakar berupa nama penyakit dan gejala penyakit kemudian membangun basis pengetahuan dan memberikan nilai CF pada setiap jenis penyakit. Sehingga didapatkan informasi dan solusi berdasarkan gejala-gejala yang dialami pasien. Dari hasil pengujian sistem yang dilakukan ujicoba kepada 20 orang user dengan tingkat error sebesar 15%, dimana hasil dari ujicoba tersebut dan dibandingkan dengan pendapat dokter diperoleh nilai akurasi dari sistem ini adalah 85% akurat, menunjukan bahwa hasil sistem pakar penyakit menular ini sudah dapat membantu dokter dalam mendiagnosis jenis penyakit menular berdasarkan gelaja-gejala yang dialami pasien dan dapat memberikan pertolongan pertama atau diagnosis dini dengan memberikan solusi kepada user.</p><strong>Kata Kunci :</strong> Sistem Pakar, Kesehatan, Forward Chaining, Certainty Factor

Some of the minor illnesses that often occur in the community are often ignored, if the disease is not treated immediately then the impact will be more severe and serious handling, therefore needed a system that can produce information about the possibility of disease in a person's body, so that can be handled more quickly to avoid dangerous diseases. In this study implemented the expert system to diagnose diseases based on mobile devices as the initial stage for first aid before consultation with the doctor. Therefore, it is necessary to design an expert system of mobile disease-based diagnostics, this system uses mobile technology for easy access and can be done anytime and anywhere, in addition to this system using a simple display that can facilitate the use. In this research, the researcher uses forward chaining method supported from data collection through observation and literature study. By simply selecting the age of the user and selecting the perceived symptoms, the user can immediately know the illness he or she is likely to suffer so that the handling of the disease can be done immediately.

Reaktor  Serba  Guna  G.A.  Siwabessy  terletak  di  kawasan  Pusat  Penelitian  Ilmu  Pengetahuan  dan Teknologi  (PUSPIPTEK)  Serpong, merupakan  reaktor  riset  yang  dimiliki  oleh Badan  Tenaga Nuklir Nasional (BATAN).  Reaktor  penelitian  ini  berdaya  30  MW  thermal  dengan  fluks  neutron  thermal  sebesar  2  x  1014 n/cm2/detik,  memiliki  beberapa  fasilitas  yang  dapat  digunakan  untuk  melakukan  penelitian  bidang  ilmu pengetahuan  dan  teknologi  nuklir,  juga  melayani  kegiatan  iradiasi  seperti  pengujian  material  dan  produksi radioisotop. Operasi  reaktor  sudah  berlangsung  sejak  diresmikannya  pada  tahun  1987  yang  sudah  tentu  sistem atau peralatan kinerjanya seperti sistem pompa pendingin reaktor sudah menurun yang berdampak  terganggunya operasi reaktor, sehingga harus dicari solusi untuk memudahkan penelusuran gangguan tersebut. Sistem Aplikasi Deteksi gangguan pompa pendingin reaktor sehingga mempermudah dan mempercepat deteksi terhadap gangguan pompa pendingin reaktor. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan yaitu Expert System Development Life Cycle  (ESDLC). Metode Foward Chaining digunakan  sebagai  teknik penalaran dari Knowledge Representation Pakar, dan teknik penulusuran Depth First Search  dalam penyusunan algoritmanya. Abstract This paper attempts to use a new conceptual scheme to present an expert system for the structural identification and generalization of mechanical devices. This expert system consists of a knowledge base with frames, rules and procedures, a forward-chaining inference engine, a working memory, and a user interface. The results of this work will be beneficial to the automation of the creative design of mechanical devices.

Health is a blessing that is very important for humans, most of us, many of us don't really care about skin diseases caused by fungi such as tinea versicolor, water fleas, ringworm and scabies. In general, people are quite aware of how to deal with the symptoms of skin diseases suffered. But it would be better to include medical participation in detecting a disease symptom, because many disease symptoms are considered trivial by some people but can be fatal to human skin. So it is necessary to make an application based on medical knowledge to diagnose skin diseases in humans which is used as a tool in obtaining information about skin diseases in humans and provide recommendations as the first action that must be taken to repeat skin diseases in humans. The knowledge base is structured in such a way into a database with several tables. Drawing conclusions in this expert system using the forward chaining inference method. The expert system will provide questions to the user in the form of symptoms of several diseases and the user will answer these questions. Until the user will get a solution from the results of the question earlier.

Areca palm has been widely planted by the people of the Asahan Regency. This plant is cultivated not only by the farmers, but also by many people living in this regency. Therefore, an expert system is needed to help villagers in detecting areca palm desease. In areca palm cultivation, pests and diseases attack always happen. The purpose of this research is to apply an expert system as a tool to diagnose and also provide advice for control. This expert system, in the form of a consultation scenario, can be done by answering every question (yes or no); all answers are compared to the areca palm plants needs based-on expert experience. The inference method used is forward chaining. The output of this system is the types of diseases, percentages, symptoms, definitions, treatment, and prevention.   Keywords: Areca Palm, Expert System, Forward Chaining.

<p><em>The nervous system is one of the organs that perform activities of a coordinating body. Central nervous system functions primarily to detect, analyze, process and deliver information. Sensory systems collect information which are processed in the brain and transmitted to the motor system to control the movement, visceral activity, and endocrine functions. All the action from the sensory and motor systems are controlled by nerves which are interconnected to form a network of signaling. Lack of information and knowledge about neurological causes many sufferers of neurological diseases. The methods used in this research is a method of Forward Chaining. The system to be built is a computer-based information system by utilizing the technology of artificial intelligence that serves as system tools or the giver of neurological diagnosis results to the user. Diagnoses generated by this system is equipped with a type of central nervous disease with pecegahan and the way of treatment. The system will analyze your answers to each question are given, so that the obtained results diagnoses based on the existing knowledge base in expert system. Research results in the form of expert system that can help users know what kind of diseases of the central nervous, giving information regarding central nervous disease and knowing how treatment and prevention. </em><br /> <br /><em><strong>Keywords</strong>: expert system, forward chaining, neurological diseases</em></p><p><em>Sistem syaraf merupakan salah satu organ yang melakukan koordinasi kegiatan tubuh. Sistem syaraf pusat mempunyai fungsi utama untuk mendeteksi, menganalisa,mengolah dan menghantarkan informasi. Sistem sensorik mengumpulkan informasi yang akan diproses di otak dan diteruskan ke sistem motorik untuk mengontrol gerakan, aktivitas viseral, dan fungsi-fungsi endokrin. Semu aksi dari sistem sensorik dan motorik dikontrol oleh syaraf yang saling berhubungan membentuk jaringan signaling. Kurangnya informasi dan pengetahuan tentang penyakit syaraf menyebabkan banyak penderita penyakit syaraf. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Forward Chaining. Sistem yang akan dibangun merupakan suatu sistem informasi yang berbasis komputer dengan memanfaatkan teknologi kecerdasan buatan yang berfungsi sebagai sistem alat bantu atau pemberi hasil diagnosa penyakit syaraf kepada pengguna. Diagnosa yang dihasilkan oleh sistem ini dilengkapi dengan jenis penyakit syaraf pusat beserta pecegahan dan cara pengobatannya. Sistem akan menganalisa jawaban dari setiap pertanyaan yang diberikan, sehingga diperoleh hasil diagnosa berdasarkan basis pengetahuan yang ada dalam sistem pakar ini. Hasil penelitian berupa sistem pakar yang dapat membantu pengguna mengetahui jenis penyakit syaraf pusat, memberikan informasi mengenai penyakit syaraf pusat dan mengetahui cara pengobatan dan pencegahannya. </em></p><p><em><strong>Kata kunci</strong>: forward chaining, penyakit syaraf, sistem pakar</em></p>

The purpose of this paper is to create an expert system to detect oil palm plant diseases in order to help farmers / companies in providing accurate information about the diseases of oil palm plants and how to overcome them and to help reduce the risk of decreasing palm oil production. This system is designed to mimic the expertise of an expert who is able to detect diseases that attack oil palm plants. The method used is forward chaining that is starting from a set of data and proving a fact by describing the level of confidence and uncertainty found in a hypothesis. The results of this study are to diagnose diseases of oil palm plants and their computerization using web programming languages.

Abstrak   Komputer saat ini merupakan perangkat yang sudah menjangkau hampir sebagian besar masyarakat. Kemajuan teknologi dalam bidang komputer telah menjadikan komputer sebagai alat bantu untuk memudahkan pekerjaan manusia dalam berbagai aspek. Salah satu contohnya menghasilkan suatu pendekatan utntuk dapat mengetahui jenis penyakit yang terserag pada tanaman dengan menggunakan metode Certainty Factor. Sistem ini, dapat membantu seseorang untuk mengetahui penyakit yang terserang berdasarkan gejala yang ada pada tanaman serta memberikan solusi untuk penaggulangan atau membasmi penyakit serta hama yang terdapat pada tanaman wortel dengan metode certainty Factor.Dalam  upaya pengendalian hama dan penyakit tanaman wortel secara strategis, seseorang pakar dibutuhkan  untuk bertindak sebagai media bantu, mengingat terbatasnya pengetahuan para praktisi petani wortel dalam mengetahui penyakit pada tanaman serta memberikan solusi kepada petani untuk membasmi penyakit yang terserang pada tanaman wortel.Sistem pakar tanaman memiliki tujuan mengetahui jenis hama dan penyakit, gejala, penyebab, pencegahan, dan menyediakan alternatif solusi penanggulangan hama dan penyakit pada setiap tanaman.
