This paper examines the characteristics of middle-class alcoholics and drug addicts who terminate their addictions without the benefit of treatment. Using what is commonly referred to as “natural recovery” processes, respondents terminated their addictions without formal treatment or self-help group assistance. Data for this study are based on in-depth interviews with 46 alcoholics and drug addicts who were identified through snowball sampling techniques. First, we examine the postaddict identities of our respondents to see how they view themselves in relation to their addictive past. Next, we explore the reasons respondents gave for avoiding treatment and self-help groups. We then examine the factors in our respondents' lives that promoted natural recovery. Finally, this paper concludes with a discussion of the relevance of our findings to clinical treatment and social policy.

Getting married in adolescence is common in most parts of Africa. It has in many cases salient direct links with sexual violence among adolescents. Sexual violence and the vulnerabilities of adolescents have been reported in literature. However, the patterns and dynamics of sexual violence among married adolescents are not known or have not been fully studied. The purpose of this study was to explore the patterns and dynamics of sexual violence among married adolescents. A qualitative approach using in-depth interviews was used in the study. A total of 15 married adolescents were recruited through purposive snowball sampling in one rural district of Zimbabwe. Braun and Clarke’s six-step thematic analysis framework was used for data analysis. Three major themes emerged, namely sexual control, rape, and forced marriage. Each theme had three sub-themes. The study confirms what has already been reported in the literature that marriage at a young age has a correlation with sexual violence. There is therefore a need to strengthen family education on the effects of early marriages.

The aim of this paper is to discusses Marriage properties method sharing  in the Religious Court of Palu City.  This study uses qualitative methods and data was gathered through observation, in-depth interviews, and written material. Data analysis was analyzed using grounded theory approach. The results of this study indicate that terminating the distribution of marital assets is sufficient to provide justice for the plaintiffs and defendants. Joint assets are divided in half for each party if under normal conditions, namely the husband provides support for the family and the wife takes care of the household. The division of joint assets based on contributions in marriage is one of the considerations by the judge in deciding joint property cases. This means that the sharing of joint assets does not refer to Article 97 of the Compilation of Islamic Law, namely that joint assets are divided in two for each party, but divided by 2/3 for the wife and 1/3 for the husband in certain cases (casuistik). Judges in the decision on the distribution of joint assets are still based on legal principles and norms.

<p class="abstrak">This article focuses on the efforts of women in the Konawe Region of Southeast Sulawesi who seek to gain an egalitarian position in the midst of oligarchical-patriarchal culture. Divorce claims as a trend of regional social become the main discourse on the dynamics of marriage law – in this context of Islamic law perspective. It is ordinarily for this research to use a qualitative approach aimed at forming substantive theories based on the concept of empirical data. The informants of this article were determined using a purposive technique, data collection techniques using in-depth interviews and participant observation, and the interactive model of Miles and Hubermann was used as a data analysis model.
