Orahu is a tradition of deliberation which is well known in the life system of the people of South Nias, especially in the areas of Maniamölö, Onolalu, To'ene and Mazinö. Orahu is carried out in every important activity in the community, for example discussing problems related to the village, death events, weddings, Fa'ulu and Mambu Ana'a parties (ceremony to increase social status or traditional parties) and others. Orahu to a large extent is called Orahua Mbanua, and is usually performed at Ewali Sawolo or Ewali Orahua (the courtyard in front of the house of the most influential nobleman or Balö Ji'ulu). The Orahua Mbanua was followed by the Si'ulu (nobles), Si'ila (traditional leaders) and Ono Mbanua (the whole community). This research was aimed at describing as well as revealing the local wisdoms of Orahu. This research applied qualitative descriptive method. The data in this study were collected using interview techniques and literature study. The research results shows that Orahu tradition emphasizes on the solidarity and wise decision taking which become a very important aspect in the life system of Nias people. It was in this open forum that all village problems were discussed, and decided how to handle them.  In ancient times, Orahu was also used as a trial and for determining punishment for violators of village customs. Orahu is usually done at the bale (village meeting hall), but to a lesser extent, it can also be carried out at home.

Pluralism is a view of life in understanding, acknowledging and accepting the existence of pluralism and diversity in a community group. The people of Donggo, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara have different religious beliefs, in which there are different cultures and customs. There are three religions that developed in Palama Village 2, Nggerukopa hamlet, Donggo District, namely Islam, Catholicism and Protestantism. With a variety of religious beliefs, of course, each individual community has different desires, and this can lead to conflict between individuals in the community, for this reason it is necessary to understand pluralism which refers to the meaning of tolerance in order to live in harmony, to unite the diversity of a nation. The formulation of the problem raised in this study is how is the form of religious harmony in the Donggo custom community? The formulation of the problem raised. The purpose of this study is to find out the pluralism of the Donggo custom people in maintaining religious harmony. Researchers obtain data in this study is from observation, interviews and documentation. The data were analyzed by qualitative descriptive method. Based on the results of the study it was found that the forms of harmony of the Donggo custom people in maintaining religious harmony were cua kaco'i angi (mutual respect), doho kaboro weki (sitting together), inga dasa uma (helping to build a house), batu rawi rasa (participating in events) and tio kasama weki rasa ra dana (guarding with the village). Thus, the researcher concludes that the Donggo custom people in Nggerukopa really care for their religious harmony in any form to continue to live in harmony with each other.

The population in this study was the community of Rante Gola Village, Bonegunu District, North Buton Regency, the sample in this study amounted to 14 people. Data collection techniques in this study were recorded and recording techniques. Based on the approach used, the data analysis method used is the contextual method. The contextual way is a method of analysis that is applied to data by basing, calculating, and linking contexts. The results of the above research are deixis found in the Kulisusu Dialect of the Rante Gola Village Community, Bonegunu District, North Buton Regency, namely six types, namely: Deiksis People or Persona, place, time, discourse, social, and pointer.

This study focuses on the motives of community participation in collective action in the form of displacement over the function of forest land in Solokuro Village, Lamongan Regency. The researcher used a qualitative descriptive method with the aim to explore the findings. For the theoretical framework, the researcher chose Mancur Olson's collective action theory in exploring the phenomenon of collective movement. This theory explains the motives of individual participation in collection activities, supported by individual’s interests. For communities who have lost their lands, they surely will be involved the collective actions with the hope that they will obtain the land permit back. For society in general, their participation in the movement was aimed to fight for the access of village road. The participation of community leaders and NGOs had purpose to obtain social incentives. Collective action conducted by the people of Solokuro Village succeeded in driving the developer out of the village forest land as a form of collective purposes and it can be seen when the community obtained the forest management permit back, namely Social Forestry Decree.

Indonesia is a country with a lot of culture, one of which is the Seren Taun Ceremony held in the village of Pasir Eurih Sindang Barang Bogor district because the people in the village continue to preserve the cultural heritage to this day. This article aims to introduce the culture in the village of Sindang Barang Bogor, namely the seren taun ceremony to be more widely known by the people of Indonesia and explain what the benefits and functions are in the Seren Taun ceremony. The method used to make this research is to use qualitative descriptive through content analysis approach by taking data by random sample and literature study techniques. Produce that the Sindang Barang Bogor Village has the potential to become a cultural village because of its uniqueness that can attract the attention of the general public that can be visited by tourists as a means of introducing local culture while also increasing the economic income of the Sindang Barang Bogor Village community. This research can be a source of delivery to the general public to get to know and know the benefits and functions contained in the Seren Taun Ceremony.

The theory used in this research is the theory Koreeografi of Sudarsono. When the study to discuss Emun Berereng dance performed during 2 months, ie from the beginning of October 2015 to December 2015. The study Desa Blang Kolak II District Bebesen Central Aceh district. The population is a resource, artists, traditional leaders and dancers who know about dance Gayo especially dance Emun Berereng in Central Aceh, the sample in this study were numbered four persons namely speakers, traditional leaders, artists and dancers dance Emun Berereng in Aceh Central. Data collection techniques include literature study, observation, Interview, and documentation, which is then analyzed by qualitative descriptive method. Abstract−This study examines the semiotics contained in diharsitarlak in Simalungun society. The goal is to explore the meaning contained in the sararar and interpretation of meaning seen through the theory of semiotics. Sitarlak is a martial arts that comes from Simalungun who became the performing arts for the community that is as a welcome dance for accompanied by music and using a special outfit. The theory used relates to the research topic of Suzanna K. Langer theory which discusses the motion and the theory of semiotic de Saurrsure to express the meaning. The research time used to discuss the semiotics was held in Simalungun society was done for 2 months ie end of August until October 2017. The research place was SanggarTortor Elak-elak in Kelurahan Sirpang Dalig Raya, Raya Subdistrict, Simalungun Regency. Population in this research is artist as well as adat character, sambual (pemusik), pandihar (people who bersilat) who understand about diharsitarlak. Data collection techniques include literature study, observation, interview and documentation, and then analysis with qualitative descriptive method. Based on the research conducted, the form of diharsitarlak is a series of silat movements consisting of 7 main motifs yaitu sombah, throw boxing worship, marsimbur, mangindo (top level), mangindo (lower level), lakkasitolu-tolu and cover worship. Clothing that is used in the sitarlakdihar is long shirt and trousers (black, red, and mixture of black, white, red), yeast pane, suri-suri, and gotong salalu. The accompaniment of music on the sitarlakdihar gondrang haro-day, parahot, and gual porang. As for the semiotics contained in the scarred sitarlak poured through the sign (sign) seen from the form of motion in the series of presentation, marker (signifier) is a form of motion as the main motive in the diharsitarlak, and signified (signified) is the meaning contained in diharsitarlak. So it can be interpreted the overall meaning in the absolute sarar is the actualization of life of the people of Simalungun in various conditions, such as giving thanks to God, facing temptation, being polite and humble, respecting and appreciating others. Keywords: semiotics, signs, signifer, signified, diharsitarlak

The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation, constraints and impact of the implementation of the cash for work program in Karang Gading Village on the poverty of the people of Karang Gading Village, Labuhan Deli District, Deli Serdang Regency. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, to make descriptions, pictures, or paintings systematically and accurately about the facts, characteristics and relationships between the phenomena being investigated. The results showed that the implementation of the cash for work program from the Karang Gading Village Fund on the concrete rebate activity for sirtu hoarding in Dusun VI for the 2020 fiscal year the results were not optimal, this can be seen from four aspects in accordance with Edward III's theory of communication that is not yet optimal, Resources are inadequate, the Bureaucratic Structure is not completely well organized, and only the Disposition / Attitude is sufficient, the obstacles faced are inadequate human resources, and minor conflicts in the form of protests from villagers who are not empowered as workers or recipients. Village Cash Workforce Wages and rumors circulating that the Village Head and TPK only empower families and relatives as workers / recipients of Village Cash Workforce wages.

The purpose of this study, firstly, is to describe the process of filling in the Village Civil Service Officer in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region and secondly to find out whether the mechanism for filling out the Village Civil Service Officer is in accordance with Regional Regulation No. 10 of 2019. This research is an empirical legal research, namely legal research that examines and analyzes people's behavior in relation to the law. The approach method uses a juridical, sociological approach. Methods of data collection through literature study, interviews and observations, then the data were analyzed by qualitative descriptive method. The results of the study concluded that the process of filling in the village civil service in Sleman Regency: The village head formed an appointment committee to conduct screening and screening through the selection of administrative requirements and administering the exam. Furthermore, the results of the selection of candidates for village civil service at least 2 (two) candidates based on the highest score are requested for consultation with the sub-district head to obtain a recommendation to be appointed as village administrator. 10 of 2019 can be applied according to the rules, namely the formation of a committee, administrative selection, exam materials, a team of examiners, but there are still weaknesses, including the requirements for candidates who are considered burdensome, must be supported by at least 15% of the population, lack of socialization, the existence of several villages that are less open in the process of filling the village civil service.

This research has three focuses. First is reporting the readiness strategies to establish Village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) in the Sumenep regency. The second is representing supporting and inhibition factors in the formation of the BUMDes in the Sumenep regency. The third is defining the typology of the village in responding to the BUMDes program in the Sumenep Regency area. This research is a qualitative-descriptive method by applying SWOT analysis conducted in 2020 from October to December. The data is collected by using observation, interviews, documentation, and a literature study. Based on the data obtained from this research, first, Based on the SWOT analysis data in Quadrant SO (strength - opportunity) Level, some strategies can be used. Those are by making local regulations of the formation of BUMDes, increasing the understanding of village heads towards the technical establishment of BUMDes, which is not only limited to theoretical knowledge, improve the role of DPMD in responding to proposals for the establishment of BUMDes. There needs to be a technical introduction about village potential that can be explored using the ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development) method. Second, there are some factors to support the establishment and development of BUMDes in the Sumenep area. One of which is to provide the head of villages with the knowledge and urgency of BUMDes establishment. As every town are highly potential and meet the requirements. However, there is no specific direction and method in establishing BUMDes that has become an obstacle in determining the potential and managing the BUMDes. Third, BUMDes in Sumenep consists of three typologies. Those are BUMDes that have not been established, which only succeeded in the proposal preparation stage. Then, The established BUMDes with less income. The last is the well-developed BUMDes that have been contributed to the villages' income.
