 & This study describes characters and moral values in the Javanese Novel entitled Kepanggang Wirang (Burned Above the Shame) by Tiwiek SA.  Description dealt with psycholiguical needs in accordance with Abraham Maslow theory and educational values.  This study is qualittaive research and applied psychoanalysis as the research design.  Data were collected using contant analysis and interview and were analyzed using content analysis that included: taxonomy, domain, and thematic analyses.  The study revealed that psychological needs from Maslow including: sex, security, self-esteem, and love and affection, and self-actualization were present in the novel.  In addition, moral values having positive and negative perspectives were conveyed in the novel reflecting experiences in the society the readers should have considered in the real community lifes. .

This research was conducted with the aim of describing the main character's personality in the novel "Genduk" by Sundari Mardjuki (Literature Psychology Study) by using Abraham Maslow's perspective. The data in this study are derived from the novel Genduk by Sundari Mardjuki, Cetakan November 2017, the publisher of PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama, with a total of 232 pages. Data is collected by library method, see, record, and documentation. The findings of the study show that all the needs theory proposed by Abraham Maslow has been obtained by the main character. The five needs raised include physiological needs or basic needs, the need for security, needs to be owned and loved, the need for self-esteem, and the need for self-actualization. The results showed that the fulfillment of these five needs in the main character found a good personality development from the main characters, including sociability, compassion, helping, not being easily offended, never giving up in achieving desires, and wise in responding to conflicts or problems.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan refleksi diri tokoh dalam novel Pesentren Impian karya Asma Nadia yang dikaitkan dengan motivasi diri serta pemenuhan hiarki kebutuhan Abraham Maslow. Metode yang dipakai adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa teks dalam novel Pesantren Impian karya Asma Nadia. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan membaca sumber data. Kemudian pengklasifikasian data, data dipisahkan berdasarkan permasalahan dan tujuan penelitian. Data yang sudah diinterpretasikan selanjutnya di eksplanasi dalam bentuk paparan bahasa sebagai suatu hasil sebuah analisis. Hasil dari peneitian ini adalah paparan mengenai pemenuhan hirarki kebutuhan tokoh, motivasi tokoh, dan karakteristik tokoh setelah merefleksi diri. Hierarki kebutuhan yang terpenuhi dalam novel Pesantren Impian karya Asma Nadia meliputi kebutuhan fisiologis, kebutuhan rasa aman, kebutuhan rasa dimiliki dan memiliki, kebutuhan harga diri dan aktualisasi diri. Sedangkan motivasi tokoh untuk merefleksi diri merupakan dorongan/keinginan tokoh untuk mendapatkan sesuatu, dalam hal ini adalah kehidupan yang lebih baik di masa mendatang. Tokoh yang merefleksi diri menunjukkan karakteristik yang berbeda-bedamulai dari perubahan penampilan sampai pada psikologis tokoh.   This study aims to describe the self-reflection of the character in the novel Pesentren Impian by Asma Nadia which is associated with self-motivation and the fulfillment of the needs of Abraham Maslow. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collected in the form of a text in the novel Pesantren Impian by Asma Nadia. Data collection is done by reading data sources. Then classifying the data, the data are separated based on problems and research objectives. The data that has been interpreted is then explained in the form of language exposure as a result of an analysis. The results of this research are exposure to the fulfillment of the hierarchy of character needs, character motivation, and character characteristics after self-reflection. The hierarchy of needs fulfilled in the novel Pesantren Impian by Asma Nadia includes physiological needs, security needs, sense of belonging and belonging, self-esteem needs and self-actualization. While the motivation of the character to reflect on himself is the drive / desire of the character to get something, in this case is a better life in the future. People who reflect themselves show different characteristics ranging from changes in appearance to psychological character.

Trên thế giới, nhiều nghiên cứu về tự trọng đã được tiến hành trên nhóm khách thể là trẻ em và trẻ vị thành niên, tuy nhiên nhóm người trưởng thành từ 18 tuổi trở lên lại chưa nhận được sự quan tâm thích đáng. Ở Việt Nam, tình hình cũng tương tự, đặc biệt, các nghiên cứu về sự thỏa mãn nhu cầu tự trọng (Self- Esteem) tiếp cận dựa trên khung lý thuyết của Abraham Maslow còn rất thiếu vắng. Mục đích của nghiên cứu này nhằm mô tả sự thỏa mãn nhu cầu tự trọng của 301 người trưởng thành, độ tuổi 18 - 60 (Mean = 34.6, SD = 0.77) tại Việt Nam tiếp cận theo lý thuyết về Tháp nhu cầu của A. Maslow. Thang đo sự thỏa mãn nhu cầu tâm lý (Psychological Needs Satisfaction) của David Lester và cộng sự (1990), được sử dụng trong nghiên cứu này. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy: (i) Sự thỏa mãn nhu cầu tự trọng của người trưởng thành tại Việt Nam có điểm số trung bình cao nhất trong số 5 nhu cầu theo lý thuyết của A.Maslow; (ii) Các nhu cầu trong năm nhu cầu theo khung lý thuyết đều có mối tương quan mạnh với nhau, trong đó tương quan mạnh nhất là sự thỏa mãn nhu cầu tự trọng với nhu cầu hiện thực hóa bản thân; (iii) Có sự khác biệt về sự thỏa mãn nhu cầu tự trọng giữa các nhóm tuổi khác nhau và giữa các nhóm trình độ học vấn khác nhau, tuy nhiên chưa đủ bằng chứng để kết luận có sự khác biệt theo tiêu chí giới tính, địa bàn nghiên cứu, kiểu tính cách và mức thu nhập. This research aims to elaborate the The social circumstances and psychological analysis which are existing in Madame Bouvary.  Therefore, the researcher will analyze how social circumstance influences the psychological condition of Emma as the main character of this work. In order to analyze this research, the researcher utilizes the literary psychology approach  as the main theory. Besides, to strengthen the psychological analysis in this work, the researcher uses Abbraham Mashlow theory as the additional perspective. Furthermore, the researcher uses qualitative methodology both for collecting data and analyzing data. In collecting the primary data, the researcher gathers the information through the work and for collecting the supporting data, the researcher collects it from books which related to this research. The results research shows that the social circumstance in the novel has been influencing Emma’s characteristics in some particular aspects such as (1) psychological needs, (2) savety needs, (3) the love and belonging needs, (4) self estem, and (5) self actualization.

"The Man Who Believes" the book of the novel Najib Kailani. This novel tells about the motives for the conviction of human needs. And about the man who believed in the way of women. The human psychological analysis in literature focuses on the texts of literature in which the image of the hierarchy of human needs, and uses the human psychological theory of Abraham Maslow is the Pyramid of Human Needs. The questions in this research are how the person and personality, and how the pyramid of needs in the main person in the novel "The Man Who Believes" to Najib Kailani. The objectives of research are to know the person and personality and to know the Pyramid of Human Needs in the main person in this novel. This research is qualitative research using the descriptive approach, and the process of analyzing the data is to read this novel and identify the person who relates to this research. The results of the research are led by the person, especially the main person, Erian and the Syams, and the analysis of the pyramid of the five needs. There is the physiological need, the security needs, the needs of love and conviction, the need for self-esteem and the needs of self-realization."

Bahan ajar sastra yang dipilih oleh guru harus menyajikan berbagai nilai yang bisa diaplikasikan siswa dalam kehidupan nyata. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan wujud konflik batin yang mengandung nilai-nilai kehidupan novel Ada Surga di Rumahmu karya Oka Aurora. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel berjudul “Ada Surga di Rumahmu” karya Oka Aurora. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis isi. Data dianalisis menggunakan teori psikopragmatik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan disimpulkan bahwa wujud konflik batin dalam novel Ada Surga di Rumahmu karya Oka Aurora antara lain pertentangan antara pilihan yang tidak sesuai dengan keinginan, kebimbangan dalam menghadapi permasalahan, serta harapan tidak sesuai dengan kenyataan. Kesesuaian konflik batin yang mengandung nilai-nilai kehidupan dalam novel Ada Surga di Rumahmu karya Oka Aurora dapat dilihat dari aspek psikologi. Rekomendasi dari hasil penelitian diharapkan penyajian bahan ajar pembelajaran sastra di SMA senantiasa diperbaiki, diperbarui dan dimutakhirkan sesuai kebutuhan dan standar yang telah ditentukan. Literary teaching materials chosen by the teacher must present various values that can be applied by  students in real life. The purpose of this research is to describe the form of inner conflict that contains the values of life in the novel Ada Surga di Rumahmu by Oka Aurora. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative. The data source in this researchis a novel titledAda Surga di Rumahmu by Oka Aurora. The method used in this researchis content analysis. Data was analyzed using psychopragmatic theory. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it was concluded that the form of inner conflict in the novel titledAda Surga di Rumahmuby Oka Aurora includes contradictions between choices that are not in accordance with desires, doubts in facing problems, and expectations not inaccordance with reality. The values of life contained in the novel titled Ada Surga di Rumahmu by Oka Aurora include moral values, religious values, social values, cultural values and educational values. Compatibility of inner conflict that contain the values of life in the novel Ada Surga di Rumahmu by Oka Aurora can be seen from the aspect of psychology. Recommendations from the results of the study are expected to present literature learning materials in high school always improved, updated and updated.according to the needs and standards that have been determined.

This research aims to analyze the aspect of Love and Belonging needs. The Hierarchy of Needs theory is used to analyze what everyone needs in their lives and how to meet those needs. The Hierarchy of Needs consists of five levels consisting of basic needs, security needs, the need for love and ownership, the need for self-esteem, and the need for self-satisfaction. As considerations in this study using the theory of the Hierarchy of Needs from Abraham Maslow 1954 who analyzed the need for love and ownership of the main character in the novel Persuasion by Jane Austen 1817. Anne as a figure in the Persuasion novel by Jane Austen 1817 is a girl who is trying to improve the hierarchy of Needs love and the interests of family and girls love. In analyzing this study, researchers used a qualitative descriptive method as a technique for collecting data. The data collected by researchers based on the object of this study are the needs of love and ownership of the main character in the novel Persuasion by Jane Austen 1817. Data collected includes speech, action, sentence, and narration relating to the blindness of love and the main character in the story. Research is made for purposes that are useful for discussion and for other parties, and for this research purposes about humans that will meet the needs and effects of if these needs are not met.

This article aims to analyze the main character in the novel Tiba Sebelum Berangkat by Faisal Oddang using the humanistic psychology approach of Abraham Maslow. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative research method. The data source used was Tiba Sebelum Berangkat novel by Faisal Oddang. The data analysis technique in this study used the content analysis. The results of this study indicated that the main character in the novel Tiba Sebelum Berangkat by Faisal Oddang had and performed actions that can be analyzed by using Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs. This was shown by the content of the novel which presented about conflicts around human life; beliefs, religions, gender and love. Tiba Sebelum Berangkat novel tried to reflect on what might actually happen in people's real life in South Sulawesi. Based on the novel content, the main character built in the novel performed certain actions in obtaining multilevel needs that must be fulfilled as human beings. Tiba Sebelum Berangkat novel showed how humans obtained multilevel needs that must be fulfilled until human self-actualization was achieved.

Setiap manusia memiliki kebutuhan dasar yang memerlukan pemenuhan, remaja memiliki tingkah laku yang khas untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut. Apabila ada kebutuhan yang tidak terpenuhi, maka akan menimbulkan berbagai bentuk penyimpangan tingkah laku bagi individu yang bersangkutan. sehingga apabila kebutuhan dasar tidak terpenuhi maka akan mengakibatkan timbulnya rasa tidak puas, menjadi frustasi dan terhambatnya pertumbuhan serta perkembangan sikap positif terhadap lingkungan dan diri siswa. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan berbagai upaya oleh semua pihak yang terkait, seperti orang tua, guru/sekolah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan remaja tersebut. Tujuan program ini : mengedukasi pemahaman guru dan siswa tentang Kebutuhan Dasar Abraham Maslow di Sekolah Menengah Atas Yayasan Pendidikan (SMA YP) Mantra Mariana Kecamatan Banyuasin I Propinsi Sumatera Selatan. Metode : yang digunakan dengan memberikan pendidikan kesehatan menggunakan metode penyuluhan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2019 dengan melibatkan 10 guru dan siswa kelas X sampai kelas XI yang berjumlah 38 siswa. Guru dan siswa diberikan pemahaman tentang 5 Tingkatan kebutuhan dasar Abraham Maslow yang wajib dilaksanakan di sekolah, meliputi pemenuhan kebutuhan fisiologis, rasa aman nyaman, kasih sayang dan penerimaan, harga diri dan pemenuhan kebutuhan aktualisasi diri. Hasil : Semua guru dan siswa mendapatkan pendidikan kesehatan kebutuhan dasar Abraham Maslow. Kesimpulan: Setelah dilakukan edukasi guru dan siswa memahami pentingnya pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar siswa selama berada di sekolah. Saran : diharapkan guru dan penyelenggara pendidikandapat memfasilitasi pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar siswa di sekolah.   Every human being has basic needs that require fulfillment, adolescents have unique behavior to meet those needs. If there are needs that are not met, then it will cause various forms of behavior deviation for the individual concerned. so that if basic needs are not met it will lead to the emergence of dissatisfaction, frustration and stunted growth and the development of positive attitudes towards the environment and students' self. Therefore it is necessary to do various efforts by all parties concerned, such as parents, teachers / schools to meet the needs of these adolescents. The purpose of this program: educating teachers and students' understanding of Abraham Maslow's Basic Needs in Mantra Mariana Foundation High School (SMA YP), Banyuasin I District, South Sumatra Province Method: used by providing health education using counseling methods. The activities will be held in April 2019, involving 10 teachers and students from grade X to grade XI with a total of 38 students. Teachers and students an understanding of the 5 basic levels of Abraham Maslow's basic needs that must be carried out at school includes the fulfillment of physiological needs, security, comfort, affection and acceptance, self-esteem and finally self-actualization needs.Results: All teachers and students get Abraham Maslow's basic health education needs. Conclusion: After educating the teacher and students understand the importance of meeting the basic needs of students while in school. Suggestion: It is hoped that teachers and education providers can facilitate the fulfillment of the basic needs of students at school.

Self - actualization is the highest level in Holistic Dynamics theory to be achieved of an individual has already gets some basic requirements below. Maslow subsequently extended the idea to include his observations of humans' innate curiosity. His theories parallel many other theories of human developmental psychology, some of which focus on describing the stages of growth in humans. Maslow used the terms hierarchy of needs; physiological needs, safety needs, love and belonging needs, self - esteem needs ,self - actualization . Maslow also mentioned that a healthy person is a person able to actualize themselves well and draw , they can also pay attention to the needs of higher ie fulfill the potential they have and to know and understand the world around them.
