<p class="abstrak"><em>COVID-19 is not over yet. This long-lasting pandemic certainly impacts teenagers, including the intensity of the use of gadgets in adolescents to increase and trigger boredom to trigger stress in adolescents. To overcome this, the thing that teenagers do is do their favorite activities. In this study, the author explains teenagers' favorite activities in class XI IPA at SMA X South Lampung during the pandemic concerning the theory of symbolic interaction. This research uses descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study's result shows that the dominant and favorite activity of teenagers during the COVID-19 pandemic is playing with their gadgets by browsing social media such as Instagram, Facebook, youtube, and others. There are other favorite activities, which are physical activities such as volleyball, soccer, and marathons in addiction, as well as activities that contain religious elements such as reading the Qur'an and reading Islamic novels. Thus, teenagers' favorite activities are essential and for teenagers so that they can develop their potential.</em></p><p class="abstrak"> </p><p>COVID-19 belum berakhir. Pandemi yang berlangsung lama ini tentu membawa dampak bagi remaja, di antaranya intensitas penggunaan gawai pada remaja menjadi meningkat dan memicu timbulnya rasa bosan hingga memicu terjadi stress pada remaja. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, hal yang dilakukan remaja yakni melakukan kegiatan favoritnya. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menjelaskan kegiatan favorit apakah yang dilakukan remaja kelas XI IPA 5 di SMA X Lampung Selatan pada masa pandemi dalam kaitannya dengan teori interaksi simbolik. Adapun metode dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan yang dominan dan menjadi favorit remaja pada masa pandemi COVID-19 ini ialah bermain dengan gawainya dengan menelusuri media sosial seperti instagram, facebook, youtube, dan lainnya. Di samping itu masih ada kegiatan favorit lain, yakni kegiatan fisik atau berolahraga seperti olahraga volly, sepak bola dan marathon. serta kegiatan yang mengandung unsur keagamaan seperti membaca Al-Qur’an dan membaca novel Islami. Dengan demikian, kegiatan favorit remaja merupakan hal yang penting dan bagi remaja sehingga mereka mampu mengembangkan potensi dirinya.</p>

Pesan dakwah dapat disampaikan melalui media termasuk instagram. Trend  tersebut memiliki dua sisi seperti pisau bermata ganda (tantangan). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyajian pesan dakwah dalam media sosial instagram. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui bentuk penyajian pesan dakwah dalam instagram dan mencari tahu kelebihan dan kekurangan penyajian pesan dakwah dalam media sosial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan teknik pengumpulan datanya, melalui observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dari dua puluh unggahan yang diteliti, terdapat tiga unggahan yang termasuk bentuk penyajian pesan dakwah informatif, empatbelas unggahan yang termasuk persuasif, dan tiga unggahan yang termasuk koersif. Kelebihan penyajian pesan dakwah pada akun instagram ini ialah menyampaikan pesan dalam bahasa singkat dan mudah dipahami pembaca. Dan kekurangannya, yaitu penjelasan yang kurang lengkap dan singkat. Kelebihan dan kekurangannya ini juga memberikan dampak pada pemahaman  pembacanya. Da'wah messages can be conveyed through the media including Instagram. The trend has two sides like a double-edged knife (a challenge). This study aims to determine the presentation of preaching messages on social media Instagram. The purpose of this study is to find out the form of preaching messages on Instagram and find out the advantages and disadvantages of preaching messages in social media. The research method used is descriptive qualitative approach and data collection techniques, through observation and documentation. The results showed that of the twenty uploads examined, there were three uploads that included informative preaching messages, fourteen uploads that were persuasive, and three uploads which were coercive. The advantage of presenting da'wah messages on this Instagram account is that it conveys messages in short and easily understood language. And the shortcomings, namely an incomplete and concise explanation. These strengths and weaknesses also have an impact on the reader's understanding.

Integrated Islamic Primary School (SDIT) Insan Madani Madiun has implemented online learning in the Even Semester of the 2019/2020 Academic Year to keep the learning going during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to analyze the learning process of tahsin and tahfidz during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is descriptive qualitative; indirect interviews carried out data collection due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. This study indicates that learning uses existing social media with a system, namely the provision of learning videos, then students make daily Tahsin and Tahfidz deposits via WhatsApp (WA). Some of the obstacles include consuming a lot of quotas and weak internet networks. The learning process still needs to be optimized, and it is necessary to evaluate the improvement of online learning in the next period.

This study aimed to describe the style of language on the terrace of news about Covid-19 as seen from the terrace / stylistic lead's writing style. A good news writer tries hard not to want to be too mechanistic. Rigid lead writing will feel tedious and unattractive. News that gives the possibility to treat as a feature are beautified, enlivened, even made like creative writings so that they are attractive to the audience. The approach used was descriptive qualitative. This research's data was the core/intro/lead of Covid-19 news that contains a stylistic style. Data obtained from the CNN Indonesia YouTube social media channel was present around the time of the research, namely starting from March to October. The data collection method used was the observation method with record and note techniques. Data were selected, classified, identified, and then described based on the stylistic lead theory. Nine stylistic terraces obtained from thirteen kinds of stylistic core used in disclosing Covid-19 news leads as the results of the study, namely: (1) punching leads, (2) descriptive leads, (3) contrast leads, (4) questioning leads, (5) quote leads, (6) cumulative curiosity leads, (7) sequential leads, (8) parody leads, and (9) greeting leads.

The behavior of a society parallel with the developmental processes that connect the different walks of life, especially of the millennial generation. This observation is carried out in order to see the behavior of people about the order of the languages in the development of social media, instagram. The method used is descriptive qualitative with embed data collection from several journals or related articles as well as sampling accounts instagram. Gradually, these applications are used as search tools of recognition that can be seen from the desire of a person who has a large following. The impact of the various parties is hogging the post without regard to certain aspects which are essentially harmless, such as constructive language that is rarely found.

The current radicalism movement has occurred in Indonesia. The emergence of this radical concept was caused by the existence of a group of Muslims who wants to purify religious teachings during the pre-independence period until now. In Bondowoso, this concept enters through children in elementary school (SD). from that incident, the two Islamic Community Organizations (Ormas) in Bondowoso; Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah opposed, rejected the existence of this concept. This research is descriptive qualitative based on case studies using the method of selecting subjects and data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the preaching strategies of Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah in counteracting radicalism in Bondowoso Regency are (1) both Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah provide the understanding to all administrators related to radicalism. (2) Nahdlatul Ulama invites all components to be aware of radicalism movements at all levels, while Muhammadiyah through social media. (3) Nahdlatul Ulama held a Cadre Education for the Movement of Nahdlatul Ulama (PKPNU) and Muhammadiyah held regular studies. (4) Nahdlatul Ulama conducts Da'wah Cadre Training (PKD), Pancasila cadre training and Muhammadiyah conducts social da'wah. (5) Nahdlatul Ulama conducts recitation, seminars and Muhammadiyah through Friday sermons.

Modernity makes language develop quickly, one of which is the emergence of new vocabularies of Indonesian language. The meanings of vocabularies that emerge are often not understood, thus making the communication process not conveyed. One of the contributors to the fastest development of language is millennial generation. Millennials use various languages in communication on social media. However, the language that arises sometimes has a negative meaning and is included in the classification of slang. It is interesting to study that the Indonesian language is able to absorb, match, and bring up new terms in communication. The purpose of this article is to discuss the emergence of new vocabularies in a variety of social media. The emergence of new vocabularies is reviewed from two aspects, namely positive aspects and negative aspects. In addition, the words that appear are reviewed from the wrong form of acronyms or palindromes. The methodology used in this study is included in the descriptive qualitative type by describing the findings of the study using words in detail. Data collection uses content analysis by linking to phenomena in the community. Anchored in the data, it is revealed that millennial generation tends to use slangs in the wrong form of acronyms and palindromes. Because correct palindromes read from the back or front have the same words and meanings. In contrast, millennial generation makes writing in the form of a palindrome as mereslang vocabularies without knowing the correct concept of the palindrome

This study aims to explore the phenomenon of K-pop on Twitter that can be the platform of English learning. The data gathered included writing documents like K-pop tweets, unstructured interviews and survey results. The researcher focused more on taking data from K-poper who use English as EFL (English as a foreign language). Data collection was taken by interview & poll to K-poper, observations and examination of K-pop tweets, included interactions among K-pop community on Twitter. K-pop Tweets was taken randomly with various topics by taking screenshots. The interview conducted by direct messages to some K-popers who gave consents to do the interview. The survey was executed by using Twitter’s poll feature. Data analysis is carried out with a descriptive qualitative method, focused on finding the nature of the particular event on study. The finding of the study revealed that the interest of K-pop stimulates English learning for K-poper. English helps them to support and connect to their interest. The curiosity of K-pop eagers them to learn and improve English skill. It demands their self-learning in the process of improving English skill. English is a bridge to connect them with their K-pop idols. K-pop is boasting their interest to English than studying English in a classroom with a book. Keywords: English learning, learning media,K-pop, social media, Twitter

This study aims to explain the mixed code of language and the effectiveness of da'wah on social media. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative by describing the mix of language codes used by Ustaz Hanan Attaki and the effectiveness of da'wah on social media. The data source in this study is a transcript of Ustaz Hanan Attaki's lecture. Data collection is obtained by listening to video shows, recording data in the form of transcripts, classification by type, and data analysis. The results of the study show that (1) Ustaz Hanan Attaki classifies mixed language codes into two, namely inter-internal and external code mixing, and (2) Ustaz Hanan Attaki's preaching on social media is very effective from a sociolinguistic perspective.

Abstract: This research is in the form of descriptive qualitative. This study tries to analyze the language phenoma by using Pierce's semiotic theory. Researchers used many data taken from Twitter social media as data taken from January 2018 to November 2019. Empirical data found on Twitter was processed and analyzed using the thick description method. The study conducted observations on social media and conducted data collection with an experimental system for this neutrality study. The results of this study are the discovery of the fact of the use of animal symbols, namely tadpoles, bat and desert lizards in the interaction of the social media world by netizens. Researchers found the meanings and symbols of the use of these animals only as a mocking tool but also became a symbol of guidance to criticize the animal symbol as not only a stigma but also a means of controlling social criticism.Abstrak: Penelitian ini berbentuk deskriptif kualitatif  yang bertujuan untuk menganalisa fenoma bahasa dengan teori semiotic Pierce. Peneliti meggunakan beberapa data yang diambil dari media sosial twitter sebagai data empiris yang diambil dalam  kurun waktu Januari 2018 hingga November 2019. Data empiris yang ditemukan dalam twitter tersebut diolah dan dianalisa dengan metode  thick description. peneliti melakukan observasi di dalam media sosial dan melakukan pengambilan data dengan sistem acak guna menjaga netralitas penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini adalah penemuan fakta empiris penggunaan simbol hewan yakni cebong, kampret dan kadal gurun dalam interkasi dunia sosial media yang dilakukan oleh netizen. Peneliti menemukan kesamaan makna dan tujuan penggunaan symbol ketiga hewan tersebut yakni bukan hanya  sebagai alat mengejek tetapi juga menjadi symbol petunjuk untuk mengkritik sehingga symbol hewan tersebut bukan saja menjadi stigma namun juga menjadi alat kontrol kritik sosial.

Sharia hotels are hotels that implement Islamic sharia principles in all of their operational activities. The sharia principles in hospitality consist of six principles, among others, namely the principle of consumption, entertainment, business activities, ethical, boundary relations, and layout. This research is a descriptive qualitative field study that aims to find out the application of six sharia principles in Yogyakarta Unisi Hotel while analyzing the opportunities and challenges of sharia implementation in Yogyakarta Unisi Hotel. Primary data collection is done by interviews, focus group discussions, and hotel guest ratings through social media. The results showed that Unisi hotel has implemented five sharia principles in the field of hospitality, while one principle (the principle of entertainment) could not be investigated because it was not available in Unisi Hotel. In addition, the opportunity to develop Unisi hotel business is huge because it follows the "Islamic lifestyle", while the challenges ahead are related to the socialization and promotion of promotional activities.
