The purpose of the study is to evaluate the geometric parameters of the plates of roller chains used in the supply of gas distribution mechanisms of motor vehicles. The method used is an analytical representation of the dependencies of the plate shape. The relevance of the proposed approach is justified by the great complexity of pre-design studies for choosing the type of drive chain of various mechanisms. Main results-dependences are proposed for determining the area of plates both with the "eight" type shape of the inner link of a standard roller (bushing) chain, and plates with straight side faces, and it is reasonable to choose the design of the drive chain for the specified operating loading conditions. Dependencies have a scientific novelty and practical significance when used in the production activities of employees of technological departments and design services of machine-building and auto repair enterprises.

The possibilities of creating cluster associations of enterprises in the sub-branches of the Machine Building Industry in the Zaporizhzhia region by determining the clustering potential are considered. The potential of clustering of the engineering industry enterprises of the Zaporizhzhia region was assessed by using the localization coefficients, production per person and specialization of the industries. According to the results of the assessment of the clustering potential of the machine-building industry in Zaporizhzhia there are such five sub-sectors were identified in which the creation of clusters is possible: the production of computers, electronic and optical products, the production of electrical equipment, the production of machinery and equipment that are not assigned to other groupings, the production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers and other vehicles, the production of furniture and other products; repair and installation of machinery and equipment. It is proved the need to create a еlectric equipment production cluster in Zaporizhzhia region.

The efficiency of an agricultural car or tractor depends on the characteristics of the engine determined by the gas distribution mechanism (GRM). Traditional timing with fixed valve timing does not provide high-quality gas exchange at all engine operating modes. The aim of the work is to improve the characteristics of the engine by using the hydraulic drive of the timing valves. The drive allows you to turn off individual valves, set the moments of their opening and closing in an arbitrary way, provide several triggering of the internal combustion engine valves during the operating cycle. The drive is controlled by an electronic control unit (ECU). The advantage of the drive is its ease of integration into the internal combustion engine. The hydraulic drive ensures that the timing valves are lifted to a height of about 14 mm. The law of displacement of the valve, revealed experimentally, is close to trapezoidal. The use of a hydraulic valve drive has a positive effect on the "time-section" factor in the area of low and medium crankshaft rotational speeds. The increment of the factor "time-section" is due to the significant speeds of opening and closing the valves. Due to the peculiarities of the kinematic characteristics of the movement of the valves when using a hydraulic drive for their movement, the use of serial phases of gas distribution of the engine is impractical. Numerical modeling of the operation of the internal combustion engine determined the regularity of the change in valve timing from the high-speed operating mode of the engine. Optimization criterion is the achievement of maximum engine power. When choosing the valve timing, the possibility of meeting the intake and exhaust valves with the engine piston was excluded. The use of optimal phases leads to an increase in power up to 4.5% at a low crankshaft speed. With an increase in the speed mode, the increase in power decreases, and with a high frequency of rotation of the crankshaft, its slight decrease (1.4%) is observed. An increase in torque, up to a power utilization factor of 0.9, and its subsequent decrease, allow stabilizing the vehicle speed on a road with variable resistance. An increase in the working pressure in the hydraulic drive of the valves makes it possible to intensify gas exchange even at a high speed of rotation of the crankshaft

Introduction (problem statement and relevance). The object of research in this work is an inline six-cylinder gas engine 6ChN13/15 with a Miller thermodynamic cycle. On the basis of its computer model studies minimization of the specific effective fuel consumption has been reached due to variation study of gas distribution and air supply systems parameters.The purpose of the study was to investigate the parameters regulation effect of gas distribution and air supply systems on the performance of a 6ChN13/15 gas engine with a Miller cycle on the external speed characteristic basing on numerical modeling.Methodology and research methods. The research was carried out by the method of computer simulation. Numerical modeling was made on the basis of data obtained during a full-scale experiment of a 6ChN13/15 gas engine with Miller thermodynamic cycle.Scientific novelty and results. A comparative analysis of a gas engine optimization results has been carried out. The results obtained will be used to create a gas engine and its further optimization by controlling the working process and the air supply system.Practical significance. The results obtained may be of interest to truck car manufacturers and engine specialists.

The purpose of the research. The main purpose of the article is a scientific substantiation of theoretical approaches and practical recommendations related to the formation of competitive pricing for agricultural machinery of domestic production, taking into account the experience of foreign companies. Methodology. To achieve this goal, methods of comparison and synthesis, expert assessments were used. Results. As a result of the study, measures aimed at improving the mechanism of competitive pricing, an increase in the volume of export potential in the agricultural machinery market by quality machines and equipment. In order to increase the export-import potential of agricultural machinery manufacturers, it is advisable to implement a number of measures, namely the support of domestic production of complex agricultural machinery; creation of favorable conditions for constructing concerns and voluntary associations with foreign partners of leading manufacturers of technology in the world; Creation of state support conditions for modernization and technical re-equipment of domestic agricultural manufacturers and the adoption of the law "Buy Ukrainian" in order to support domestic agricultural machinery. Practical meaning. The practical significance of the study is to set out the main provisions, which are brought to the level of specific proposals that can be used by agricultural machinery enterprises in the process of forming a mechanism of competitive pricing of agricultural machinery. The practical significance of the study is to place the basic provisions that are brought to the level of specific proposals that can be used by enterprises of agricultural machine building in the process of improving the mechanism of competitive pricing for agricultural machinery.

Increasing the efficiency of modern internal combustion engines is going in the direction of optimizing the gas distribution phases in order to adjust them to the operating conditions of motor vehicles. Hyundai has announced the development of the first production engine with continuously variable valve operation time – Continuously Variable Valve Duration. (Research purpose) The research purpose is in conducting a kinematic analysis of the gas distribution mechanism with an adjustable valve operating time, identifying the theoretical possibilities of this mechanism in comparison with the information provided in the prospects. (Materials and methods) The methods of kinematic analysis of lever mechanisms were used in the work. (Results and discussion) The analysis of the design of the gas distribution mechanism with an adjustable valve operating time made it possible to choose a suitable structural scheme that is equivalent to the original mechanism. The article presents the most effective method of kinematic analysis of this mechanism and developed on its basis a program for calculating the angles of rotation of the cam and the shaft of the gas distribution mechanism. (Conclusions) An engine with a valve operating time control system allows you to more effectively adjust the cylinder filling depending on the operating conditions due to the variable phase of rotation of the camshaft. The valve timing control system offered by Hyundai should only work with the valve timing control mechanism, since when the cam rotation speed changes, it starts working in the wrong phase that should be at a given time. With a slow rotation of the cam, it lags behind in phase from the shaft of the gas distribution mechanism, and with a fast rotation of the cam, on the contrary, the phase advance of the shaft of the gas distribution mechanism occurs.

В статье рассматривается проблема создания автоматизированных систем, удовлетворяющих требованиям современного производства (универсальность, многофункциональность и комплексность), прежде всего, должны быть созданы специальные методология и теория, раскрывающие процессы проектирования, представляемые в математическом, формализованном и программном виде. Авторами предлагается формализация процесса проектирования и технологии, на основе которой создана система автоматизации проектирования, что позволит проектировать технологические процессы (ТП) для разнообразных изделий, в том числе ранее не производившихся. Разработка математических моделей ТП механической обработки деталей обеспечит объективное принятие технологических решений и будет отражать динамику качественного и количественного преобразования заготовок в процессе производства. Практической значимостью работы является создание и апробация ПО «Система автоматизированных рабочих мест машиностроительных предприятий», в которой разработаны АРМ технологических служб и подразделений, а именно АРМ отдела технолога. Для реализации цели, разработанный АРМ обеспечивает выполнение двух основных направлений деятельности. Во-первых, обеспечивает возможность разработки и внедрения ТП, средств автоматизации и механизации, оптимизации режимов работы универсального оборудования, и оборудования с числовым программным управлением. Во-вторых, реализует своевременную разработку технических заданий для обеспечения структурных подразделений (цехов, участков) специальной оснасткой, инструментом и приспособлениями, предусмотренными технологией, нестандартным оборудованием средствами автоматизации и механизации. В результате проведенных исследований, получены: 1. Методика проектирования основных этапов ТП изготовления деталей, основанная на объективных критериях выбора технологических параметров, что обеспечит исключение ошибок на начальном этапе. Разработан общий алгоритм решения технологической задачи. 2. Методика назначения переходов и составления планов обработки, в основу которой положен принцип выполнимости определенным методом текущего перехода, а именно, выполнение характеристик. 3. Методика оснащения ТП позволяет учитывать геометрические и точностные параметры, дополнительные требования к поверхности на конкретных стадиях с учетом текущей производственной ситуации. The problem of development special software for the automation for design of technological processes that meets the requirements of modern production – universality, multifunctionality and complexity are considered. The authors propose – CAD is developed, which will make it possible to design technological processes for a wide variety of products, including new ones that have not previously entered production. The practical significance of the work is the creation and testing of the software «System of automated workstations of machine-building enterprises», in AWP of the technologist's department, were developed. The first direction provides the possibility of developing and implementing processes. The second the timely development of technical specifications for the provision of structural units (workshops and sections) with special equipment, tools and devices provided for by technology. As a result of the research, the methods of designing technological processes for machining parts were obtained: 1. Methodology for designing the main stages based on objective criteria for the selection of technological parameters, which ensures the elimination of errors at the initial stage of the technological process formation 2. The method of assigning transitions and drawing up processing plans, based on the principle of the feasibility of the current transition by a certain method, namely, the fulfillment of the characteristics that need to be obtained at the current transition. 3. The technique of equipping the technological process allows taking into account the geometric and precision parameters, additional requirements for the surface at specific stages based on the current production situation.

Synthesis of a seven-link spatial statically determined mechanism without redundant (passive) connection with an additional moving link of a machine for processing parts, followed by an analytical study of its main structural and geometric parameters. Methodology.  An  analytical  research  method  was  used  based  on  the  geometric  and  structural synthesis  of  a  spatial  seven-link  statically  defined  mechanism  with  an  additional  movable  link  without redundant communication of the machine for processing parts; 3D modeling of the machine was performed in the SolidWorks 2016 computer-aided design system. Results.  On  the  basis  of  structural  synthesis,  the  design  of  a  seven-link  spatial  statically  defined mechanism  with  an  additional  movable link  of  the machine for processing  parts is  proposed,  there is  no redundant  connection  in  the  kinematic  chain  of  the  spatial  mechanism,  3D  modeling  of  the  machine  is performed  in  the  CAD  system  SolidWorks  2016.  Analytical  studies  of  the  main  geometric  and  design parameters of the developed machine are carried out. Scientific novelty. The relationship between various geometric parameters of the spatial seven-link statically determined mechanism is established, which makes it possible to calculate the optimal ratio of the lengths of the links of the mechanism to ensure the smooth functioning of the machine without jamming its spatial mechanism.  Practical significance. A new design of a machine for processing parts has been developed, based on  a  seven-section  spatial  statically  determined  mechanism  with  an  additional  moving  link  without redundant  communication.  Mathematical  dependences  are  obtained  for  calculating  its  basic  design  and geometric parameters. These dependencies can be used by the corresponding machine-building enterprises at the design stage of this type of equipment.

The issues of failure risk diagnosing were actualized in Ukraine against the background of transformation processes in the economy. Enterprises are particularly vulnerable due to the forced reorientation to new markets and changes in permanent business relations. Therefore, it is now important to identify in insolvency problems and the risk of enterprises’ failure of this industry. The purpose of the research is to substantiate the method of selection and form a system of indicators that will provide diagnostics of the failure risk based on the financial statements of the company. The subject of the research is the Ukrainian machine-building enterprises and the process of forming a system of indicators, which will determine the failure risk of business entities. The methods of the research: methods of scientific knowledge, such as analysis and synthesis, induction, measurement, observation, formalization, logical and analytical techniques, as well as the methodological apparatus of financial analysis and mathematical statistics. The hypothesis of the research is the assumption that the process of selecting indicators based on the methods of mathematical statistics will avoid bias of other shortcomings that reduce the quality of enterprises’ failure diagnosing. The statement of basic materials. The existing models of failure diagnostics have serious shortcomings in terms of the approach to the selection of indicators and the number of classes, which the enterprise may belong to, depending on the existing risk of bankruptcy. Therefore, the authors proposed their own approach to the selection of diagnostically significant financial ratios based on the Student's t-test, the Mann-Whitney U-test and the correlation coefficient. A system of indicators of failure diagnosing has formed based on this approach. The originality and practical significance of the research is that a system of indicators is mathematically substantiated, what corresponds to the modern principles of evidence-based research and maximally emphasizes that the machine-building enterprise belongs to a particular failure risk class. Conclusions and perspectives of further research: the researchers are going to build a failure diagnostic model for Ukrainian machine-building enterprises based on the determined system of indicators.

Subject/topic. The article deals with the interaction and influence of the city-forming enterprise JSC «Alexandrovsky Machine-building Plant» on the single-industry city of Alexandrovsk and the Alexandrovsky district as a whole. Goals and objectives of the work. The purpose of this work is to assess the financial, economic, and production activities of JSC «AMZ» for the period 2016-2020, as well as the socio-economic development of the single-industry town of Alexandrovsk and the Alexandrovsky district for the same period. Methodology. To analyse the financial, economic, and production activities of JSC «AMZ», an assessment was made of such indicators as the dynamics of net, non-current, and current assets, accounts payable, profit (gross, from sales, before tax, and net), business expenses, and production costs. To analyse the socio-economic development of the single-industry town of Alexandrovsk and the Alexandrovsky district, an assessment of the demographic situation, the investment climate, and the development of small and medium-sized businesses was carried out. Results. It is concluded that the development and financial and economic condition of the city-forming enterprise JSC «Alexandrovsky Machine-Building Plant» directly affects the socio-economic development of the single-industry town of Alexandrovsk and the Alexandrovsky district as a whole. The city-forming enterprise is on the verge of bankruptcy. If this procedure takes place, the issue of the existence of the single-industry town of Alexandrovsk will become much more acute, since at the moment there is a significant outflow of the working-age population, especially young people. Conclusions/significance. The practical significance of this study consists in the proposed recommendations for improving the efficiency of the city-forming enterprise JSC «Alexandrovsky Machine-Building Plant». Application. The problems of the development of a city-forming enterprise, a single-industry town and the proposed recommendations can be used to improve the development strategy of both the city-forming enterprise itself (JSC «Alexandrovsky Machine-Building Plant») and the single-industry town of Alexandrovsk and the Alexandrovsky district as a whole.

Relevance of research. The actualization of the assessment of the financial condition of the enterprise from the standpoint of possible bankruptcy is indisputable, taking into account the impact of both external and internal factors on the work of the enterprise. The purpose of the study: to develop a methodological approach to preventive assessment of the financial condition of the enterprise, taking into account internal and external factors influencing its economic activity from the standpoint of possible bankruptcy. Methodology and scientific methods: methods of comparative analysis, economic-mathematical modeling, system approach are used. Research results: the article considers scientific trends and problems of assessing the financial condition of enterprises using different methodological approaches. The most well-known formed discriminant models of foreign and domestic scientists are characterized, taking into account their advantages and disadvantages in conducting economic assessment of the financial condition of enterprises. Features and possibilities of application of these models at the domestic enterprises of a machine-building complex are stated. The necessity to develop a dynamic operational model of preventive management is substantiated, which makes it possible to take into account both internal and external national factors and foreign indicators. Unlike the existing ones, this model considers not only financial indicators (profitability ratio, current liquidity ratio, asset turnover, autonomy ratio), but also their importance in the dynamics, as well as taking into account external factors of the country in which the company operates. A new methodological approach for assessing the financial condition of the enterprise with the inclusion of national factors of enterprises and performance indicators of foreign economic entities is proposed. The proposed method of assessing the company in the dynamics in relation to each time to the previous year in terms of bankruptcy characterizes the effectiveness of management and is a signal to take precautions regardless of the stage of the life cycle of the enterprise or its products. The information support of this model serves as a basis for the formation of the company's self-management system. Research framework / possibility of using the results: the proposed methodological approach has an international character and can be used by single-industry enterprises of different countries to assess their financial and economic, marketing, organizational, production, logistics activities, especially when looking for business partners. Practical significance: assessment of the bankruptcy probability index at 12 machine-building enterprises of Ukraine was carried out, conclusions were made on the location of enterprises in the bankruptcy zone. Social consequences: the results of this assessment lead to management decisions by the management of machine-building enterprises on the optimization of jobs, labor movement, internal and external staff rotation.
