The aim of this research is to describe an imperative politeness on conversation in class learning. The data complied is consisted of speech data and field-note data. Interactive model data analysis was done through four phases: data collecting, reducing, presentation, and recapitulating result of the research. The result of the research are: (a) imperative modus is applied to act asking and ordering or governing, and (b) the usage of the term of adress and changes, the term of adress and word changes, approval expression, modality, and metaphor giving the mellowing effect of downgrading the illocutionary force so that speech felt decent.

This article is focusing on reduplication with sound change (dwilingga salin suara) in Indonesian language to find out its types, meanings, and uses in sentences. It aims at describing them. The research data is sourced from the Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia Edisi IV by using  the descriptive methods. Data acquisition is realized by using the technique to see and note. Data analysis uses interactive model: data reduction, data presentation, and verification. This article uses several approaches, namely Kridalaksana’s (2009: 89—90), Verhaar’s (2001: 80), and Alwi et al.’s (2003: 191,132,238) about reduplications in Indonesia, especially the ones that are followed by the sound change (dwilingga salin suara). The result shows that it has four types, namely (1) the change of vowal phonemes; (2) the change of consonant phonemes; (3) the addition of lexemes, and (4) the addition of infixes. The reduplication with sound change of the change of vowal phonemes is dominated by the forms of a-i, a-u, and oa-ai. The meanings indicate variety, sound mimic, quality, and situation.Penelitian ini mengkaji dwilingga salin suara dalam bahasa Indonesia dengan pokok masalah jenis, makna, dan penggunaannya dalam kalimat. Tujuan penelitian ini menjelaskan jenis, makna, dan penggunaan dwilingga salin suara. Data penelitian bersumber pada Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia Edisi IV. Data diperoleh dengan metode simak, teknik catat. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif, yaitu reduksi data, sajian data, dan verifikasi.Ancangan penelitian ini menggunakan konsep dwilingga salin suara dalam bahasa Indonesia seperti yang diajukan oleh Kridalaksana (2009: 89--90),Verhaar (2001: 80) dan Alwi et al. (2003: 191,132, 238). Kajian ini menemukan bahwa dwilingga salin suara terdiri atas empat bentuk, yaitu (1) perubahan fonem vokal, (2) perubahan fonem konsonan, (3) penambahan leksem, dan (4) penambahan infiks. Dwilingga  salin suara dengan perubahan fonem vokal didominasi bentuk a-i, a-u, dan o a – a i. Dwilingga salin suara dapat bermakna banyak/bermacam-macam, tiruan bunyi, kualitas, dan keadaan.

The research deals with the occurrence of shift in Translating Didong texts from Gayonese into Bahasa Indonesia. The objectives of the study were: (1) to find out the types of shifts in Translating Didong texts from Gayonese into Bahasa Indonesia, (2) to describe how the shifts occur in Translating Didong texts from Gayonese into Bahasa Indonesia, (3) to analyze the reasons why translation shifts occur Translating Didong texts from Gayonese into Bahasa Indonesia. The research was conducted by using descriptive qualitative design. The data of this study were clauses which translated from Gayonese into Indonesian. The data were collected through documentary technique. The technique of data analysis was interactive model.  This research was found that there were five types of translation shift. The type of structure shift was the dominant type. The findings of this study revealed that: (1) The category shifts in Translating Didong texts from Gayonese into Bahasa Indonesia are 1) structure shift, 2) class shift, 3) unit shift, 4) reduplication word shift, and 5) double types of shift. (2) There were some ways of translation shift used in Translating Didong texts from Gayonese into Bahasa Indonesia, namely grammatical change occurred, change in different word class and change in ranks. (3) There were four reasons of using translation shifts are (1) Different language systems, (2) Grammatical structures of SL do not exist in TL, (3) Literal translation is grammatically possible but may not accord with natural usage in the TL (naturalness between SL and TL) and (4) replacing virtual gap by grammatical structure.Keywords: translation, translation shifts, Didong texts.

The study aims to obtain information about segmental sounds in the form of vocal sounds, consonant sounds, diphthong sounds, and clusters. This study was conducted on three deaf students SMPLB B SLBN 7 Jakarta. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data analysis techniques. Data is obtained by direct observation and interviews to retrieve oral speech data which are then transcribed into phonetic symbols. Based on the results of analysis on the verbal speech data of a student, it was found 178 vowel sounds, and 143 consonant sounds, 2 cluster sounds produced and 149 syllable patterns found, and based on the results of this analysis students did not produce diphthong sounds. So, it can be concluded that there were 464 data in total in this study out of three deaf students tunarungu SMPLB B SLBN 7 Jakarta. Implications for Indonesian language learning, namely improving speaking skills in deaf students. Thus, students can practice their speaking skills through teaching Indonesian and produce oral speech that is included in segmental sounds. Keywords: pronunciation, segmental sound, deaf students     Abstrak Penelitian bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai bunyi segmental yang berupa bunyi vokal, bunyi konsonan, bunyi diftong, dan kluster. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tiga orang siswa tunarungu Sekolah Menengah Pertama Luar Biasa B (Tunarungu) SLBN B 7 Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis data. Data diperoleh dengan cara pengamatan dan wawancara secara langsung untuk mengambil data ujaran lisan yang kemudian  ditranskripsi ke dalam lambang fonetik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis pada data ujaran lisan seorang siswa, ditemukan data sebanyak 178 bunyi vokal, serta sebanyak 143 bunyi konsonan, 2 bunyi kluster yang dihasilkan dan 149 pola silabel yang ditemukan, dan  berdasarkan hasil analisis ini siswa tidak menghasilkan bunyi diftong.Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat 464 data secara keseluruhan pada penelitian ini dari tiga orang siswa tunarungu SMPLB B SLBN 7 Jakarta. Implikasi terhadap pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, yaitu meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara pada siswa tunarungu. Dengan demikian, siswa dapat melatih keterampilan berbicaranya melalui pengajaran bahasa Indonesia dan menghasilkan bunyi ujaran lisan yang termasuk ke dalam bunyi segmental.   Kata kunci: pelafalan, bunyi segmental, siswa tunarungu

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pilihan bahasa anak jalanan penjual koran di kawasan Tugu Muda Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data bebas libat cakap. Metode analisis data yang diperoleh dengan analisis model intraktif. Hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa wujud pilihan bahasa anak jalanan penjual koran di kawasan Tugu Muda Semarang adalah tuturan bahasa Jawa ragam ngoko lugu dan ngoko alus serta bahasa Indonesia ragam Informal. Selain itu ditemukan juga pilihan bahasa anak jalanan penjual koran dalam wujud bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Jawa berupa  tunggal bahasa, alih kode, dan campur kode. Tuturan tersebut dipengaruhi oleh faktor latar [waktu dan tempat) dan situasi, faktor partisipan dalam interaksi, faktor percakapan, dan faktor fungsi interaksi. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan pilihan bahasa anak jalanan penjual koran didominasi oleh bahasa Jawa. Anak jalanan penjual koran sebaiknya selektif dalam memilih kosakata dan ragam bahasa Jawa ketika bertutur, agar nilai anak jalanan penjual koran mempunyai nilai yang baik dan sopan  di mata masyarakat umum.   The aim this research it to know the language chosen by street boys who sell newspaper in the area of Tugu Muda Semarang. The method of this research is qualitative by using the technique of data simak libat cakap and simak bebas libat cakap. The method of data analysis that has been gotten with the analysis of interactive model. The resultof this research, found out that shape the language that has been chosen  by the strees boys who sell newspaper in the area Tugu Muda Semarang is the Javanese speech that is ngoko lugu and ngoko alus the informal of Indonesian speech. Besides, it was also found that the chosen of the language of the street boys who sell newspaper in the Indonesian language and Javanese language in the form of single language, code switching, and code mixing. The speech influenced by the background factor (time and place) and situation, the participants factor in the interaction, speech factor, and the factor of the language of the street boys who sell newspaper dominate by Javanese language. The street boys who sell newspaper it is better to be selective in choosing vocabulary and Javanese language’s diversity when saying, so the value of the street boys have a good value and have well mannered in the eye of the society.

The objective of this research is to describe (1) Javanese directive utterances inIndonesian Subject in Vocational School; and (2) Javanese uniqueness in directiveutterances in Indonesian Subject in VocationalSchool. The method of the reseachwas qualitative descriptive with sociopragmatic approach. The data includedIndonesian teacher’s utterances which described the form and the uniqueness ofJavanese language in a directive action used in Indonesia Subject learning invocationalschool. The technique applied by recording the method of SBLC. Thetechnique of data analysis used interactive model by Miles and Huberman whichincluded four steps: collecting data, reducing data, analizing data, and verifyingor conclusion drawing. The research showed that the forms of Javanese languagedirective utterances included (1) request; (2) command; and (3) prohibition. Theuniqueness of Javanese language was identified by the use of the words ‘mboten’,‘piye’, ‘le’, ‘ndang’, ‘gah’, and ‘ra isa’. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan (1) bentuk bahasa Jawa dalam tindaktutur direktif dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah menengah kejuruandan (2) kekhasan bahasa Jawa dalam tindak tutur direktif dalam pembelajaran BahasaIndonesia di sekolah menengah kejuruan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metodepenelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiopragmatik. Data berupatuturan guru Bahasa Indonesia yang mencerminkan bentuk dan kekhasan bahasaJawa dalam tindak direktif yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesiadi SMK. Teknik ini diwujudkan dengan teknik rekam dengan metode SBLC. Teknikanalisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang terdiri atasempat tahap, yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, analisis data, dan verifikasi ataupenarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa bentuk bahasa Jawa dalamtindak tutur direktif yang ditemukan terdiri atas (1) bentuk permintaan; (2) bentukperintah; (3) bentuk larangan. Kekhasan bahasa Jawa yang digunakan ditandaidengan penggunaan kata mboten, piye, le, ndang, gah, dan ra isa.

The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the implementation of the acceleration of food consumption diversification (P2KP) program on the Women Farmers Group in Lempake Village, to identify and describe the supporting and inhibiting factors. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The research location is in Lempake Sub-District, North Samarinda District. Data derived from interviews, observations and documents owned by farmer women's groups. Conclusions based on data processed using interactive model data analysis. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the implementation of the acceleration program of food consumption diversification (P2KP) on the women farmer groups in Lempake Village had been going well, although there were still things that needed improvement.Keywords: Implementation, Diversification,  Food Consumption

The purpose of this study was to describe the form of compliance and deviation of the principle of language politeness as well as the level of language politeness in the textbooks were focused on Bahasa Indonesia textbook of SMA, MA, SMK, MAK Class 10 Curriculum 2013 Revised Edition 2016 by Suherli etc. The method used in this study was quantitative descriptive method by using reading and recording as data collecting technique. Data analysis was done by using matching method. The determination of the form of complience and deviation of the principles of language politeness refered to the theories of politeness and Leechs politeness principles. While the the level of politeness was calculated based on the tendency compliance and deviations on the principle of language politeness. The results showed that there were 211 speech either obey or deviate to the principle of politeness. The obedience amounted to 157 speech, consisting of 63 maxims of wisdom, 6 generosity maxims, 18 reward maxims, and 70 maxim of consensus. The deviation of the principle of language politeness had a lower proportion of 54 speech, consisting of 52 maxims of wisdom, and 2 maxims of appreciation. Level of discourse politics contained in textbooks Indonesian SMA, MA, SMK, MAK Class 10 Curriculum 2013 revised edition 2016. It can be seen from the compliance rate having 74.4 percent, percentage which is in the range of 61percent to 80 percent with the polite category, and the deviation has the percentage of 25.6 percent which is in the range of 21 percent to 40 percent with the polite category. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the performance of the Community Protection Unit Officers in creating Security, Peace, and Order in Kecamatan Malinau Kota, Malinau District. This type of research includes descriptive with a qualitative approach. Primary data is derived from interviews with informant selected purposively and direct observation, supported by secondary data derived from written data owned by the agency. The conclusion of the research was conducted through interactive model data analysis. The results showed that the work of Satlinmas members in creating security, peace, and order in Kecamatan Malinau Kota as measured by several performance instruments, including the ability to finish the task, the quality of the work, the attitude of work discipline, creativity in working, and cooperation with the community showed good work results, but not optimal.Keywords: Performance, Community Protection, Security, Peace, Order

The research dealt with Metaphor Sentences. The aims of this study were: (1) to find out the translation strategies of metaphors are used in The Magic of Thinking Big and (2) to describe the translation strategies maintain metaphors in The Magic of Thinking Big. The research was conducted by using qualitative design. The data of this study were sentences. The data were collected through documentary technique and the instrument was the documentary sheet. The technique of data analysis was descriptive. The finding of this study revealed that: (1) The metaphor in The magic of Thinking Big were translated by applying six translation strategies, namely: word for word Translation (5.3%) lieral translation (4.3%), faithful translation (57.5%), Free translation (3.2%), communicative translation (30.5%) and discursive creation was found (2.2%). (2) The metaphors are maintained that found in the Magic of Thinking Big are original metaphors turned into another original metaphors, stock metaphors turned into another stock metaphors, adapted metaphors turned into adapted metaphors, dead metaphors turned into dead metaphors, original metaphor turned into stock metaphor, stock metaphor turned into original metaphor, meanwhile, 10 original metaphors and 1 dead metaphor are no longer classified as metaphors. Language has special characteristic that is metaphor sentences, therefore in the case of translating of metaphor sentences in which their concept in unknown for readers, the translator often faces the problems to find out the translation strategies to translate metaphor in a source language (SL) and how the metaphor sentences are maintained in the target language (TL).Keywords : Metaphor, Translation Strategies, Maintain Metaphor

Sosiolinguistik memberikan pengetahuan tentang code switching (campur kode). Analisis teks novel untuk memahami penggunaan campur kode penutur dapat dilaksanakan untuk pengembangan ilmu sosiologi bahasa. Metode deskriptif kualitatif dalam menganalisis temuan dan mengklasifikasikan pencampuran kode dari Novel Andre Herata Sang Pemimpi. Analisis data berfokus pada kalimat dan paragraf yang menunjukkan penggunaan pencampuran kode di dalamnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada satu jenis pencampuran kode yang ditemukan dalam novel Sang Pemimpi yaitu pencampuran kode luar (bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris) yang kemunculannya ada dalam bentuk kata, frasa, dan penyisipan klausa. Penggunaan dan jenis-jenis pencampuran kode yang ada dalam novel Sang Pemimpi karya Andrea Hirata meyangkut pencampuran kode; pada pencampuran berbagai unit linguistik, seperti morfem, kata-kata, pengubah, frasa, klausa dan kalimat, terutama yang berasal dari dua sistem tata bahasa yang berpartisipasi dalam sebuah kalimat. Dapat disimpulkan narator menggunakan pencampuran kode dari Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, dan pencampuran kode luar dari Bahasa Inggris; punchbag, sprinter, fan, session, speaker, shock, slide dan Bahasa Arab. Abstract. Sociolinguistics gave knowledge of the switching codes. Text analysis of novels for understanding the interdiction of interpreting codes can be performed for the development of language sociology. The qualitative descriptive method of analyzing the find and classifying the code mixing of the novel Andre herata Sang pemimpi. Data analysis focuses on sentences and paragraphs that indicate the use of a code mixing in them. Studies have shown that one type of mixing code found in the Sang pemimpi novel is that it includes a mixture of outside codes (Indonesian and English) that appears in the form of words, phrases, and insertion of klausa. The use and kinds of coded blending in the book of Sang pemimpi Andrea hirata passes the mixing of codes; In the mixing of various linguistic units, such as morpheme, words, modifiers, phrases, clauses and sentences, especially those that come from the two grammatical systems that participate in a sentence. It could be inferred that the narrator used a code mixing from Indonesian, Malay, and a proprietary blend of English; punchbag, sprinter, fan, session, speaker, shock, slide dan Arabic.
