There are many mass media in Indonesia which is not implementing the concept of equality gender yet, especially news about sexual harassment. This research focuses on the news framing in online media Tirto.id under the hashtag sexual harassment. Constructivism theory is used in this research which is emphasized the reality is plural and subjective. This research using Robert Entman’s framing method, the researcher takes 18 from 67 articles to be analyzed. Entman’s method focuses on four things, problems identification, casual interpretation, make moral judgment dan treatment recommendation. The result of this research is Tirto.id already implemented gender perspective journalism which was not brought the woman down but also didn’t blame the men. Tirto.id constructs women like the one who’s equal, smart and independent, but there’s an inequality of gender between men and women. That’s why women are kind of powerless that make them a victim of sexual harassment. For the news in the celebrity corner, Tirto.id tried to educate readers on how to respond to the sexual harassment. Meanwhile, in the non-celebrity corner, there are many critics said to the related institution as the way to enforce the concept of gender equality. This study provides recommendations in the form of policy proposals for online media to implement policies like Tirto.id's in delivering news, namely clear, bright, insightful, contextual, in-depth, factual and investigative like Tirto.id.

This research analyzes the media landscape in Georgia from a gender equality perspective to identify the existing stereotypes dominant in Georgian media organizations. Georgia (country) faces the challenges related to femicide, domestic violence, employment of women, early or forced marriages, sexual harassment, blackmailing of female journalists, and there is a lack of awareness regarding gender equality. The study answers research questions: What sociocultural context and basic psychological motivators drive females to choose journalism as a profession? Is there any gender inequality regarding the workplace and positions in Georgian media (TV, print, radio, and online media) and if ‘yes' how does it present? Are there any predefined topics/themes covered specifically by the male or female journalists? What gender-related stereotypes (if any) dominate/take over in Georgian media?

This study explores the Indonesian Ulema Council’s polemic coverage about the concept of Islam Nusantara through online media framing analysis. To look at online media framing, I use qualitative methods with Robert N. Etnman’s framing study that examines two things: selecting issues and the emphasis or promotion of certain aspects. The analysis contained four concepts: defining problems, diagnosing causes, making a moral judgment, and treatment recommendations. The results showed that three online media gave rise to a variety of news reports. Detiknews.com brings up news about scholars’ polemic in the Indonesian Ulema Council area behind Islam Nusantara’s concept eight times, CNNIndonesia.com five times, and Kompas.com three times. Interpretations of the three online media have different attitudes. Detiknews.com in framing can not be said to be neutral, but there has been a bit of a splash of neutrality by displaying statements as a bit of a counterparty, although dominated by pre-party views. CNNIndonesia.com is more impressed to provoke the public to respond to the construction of reality in framing because many use the election diction provocative title. Kompas.com is more neutral compared to Detiknews.com and CNNIndonesia.com. Kompas media tends to use the principle of cover both sides, and the news is more in the form of articles or public opinion.

The slogan of gender equality and gender equality is constantly being used today and unfortunately it raises more objections to Islamic injunctions than to women's rights. Although Islam is a compete code of conduct for human life and its rules have taken care of human nature, so in the rules that apply to both men and women, the natural characteristics of both have been taken into consideration. Because of the development of various forms of media today, objections to Islamic injunctions in the name of gender equality are gaining strength. This article seeks to ascertain the validity of these objections and compares the specific provisions of Islamic criminal law regarding women with the existing laws of Pakistan. As a result of this comparison, it has come to light that on the one hand, in some cases, women have been given less rights than men, such as not accepting their testimony in the cases clearly defined by ALLAH (in Qur’an called as حدود الله) and the Diyat  (دیت)of a woman is equal to half of the Diyat (دیت) of a man etc. On the other hand, in most of the rulings, women are given precedence over men, such as in case of fighting in a war along with men, the renouncement of Qisas or any other charges from women, respite in stoning due to pregnancy, the renouncement of Qisas or any other charges in case of forced compulsion by someone else, renouncement of Diyat (دیت) in Qisamat and the condition of being with a Mehram (محرم) in exile etc., and even  where their rights are apparently less evident, there is a clear consideration of their nature in implementing of those laws..

While the #MeToo movement has led to successful campaigns against sexual harassment in many parts of the world, results have been mixed in Japan. In spite of the fact that #MeToo has inspired a number of offshoot campaigns, many victims of sexual abuse remain silent. Greater attention needs to be directed at the reasons for this reluctance to pursue justice. One factor that requires greater scrutiny is the role of public conversations; that is, widely reported comments from prominent members of society which generate some level of discussion and which exercise some influence over people’s way of thinking on particular topics. If public conversations denigrate women by labeling them as sexually promiscuous or as failures in terms of normative motherhood, the result may be increased violence against women and greater difficulty for women who seek justice in the aftermath of sexual violence. This argument is developed in this article which explores the ways in which a set of public conversations during the 1990’s and early 2000’s may have helped to incite extreme reactions of sexual abuse by stigmatizing certain young women both in terms of masculinist norms of sexuality and of female reproduction. Through engagement with relevant texts and member-checking with gender activists, the author found that the failure to learn lessons from a case of pornography-related sexual violence in the early 2000’s (referred to as the “Bakky case”) means that women remain vulnerable, especially if they are stigmatized for “failing in their duty” to bear children. Prominent figures in society must refrain from initiating public conversations that can lead to the stigmatization of women who challenge traditional gender norms. This study is made so that concerned citizens in Japan today, and readers everywhere, can more strongly justify their insistence on public conversations that reflect principles of gender equality and respect.

<p>This article examines the image of women in soy sauce advertisements in the  mass media. In general, the image of them in the mass media is depicted by stereotypes and patriarchal cultures inherent in them. They are generally described as agents of domestic roles and sex objects, who must be discriminated and subordinated. The theory used in this paper is gender relationship and mass media with qualitative content analysis. The theory is applied to analyze the positions between men and women in order to realize gender equality. Women’s entrepreneurship is a powerful source, regarding to the women’s economic independence and empowerment, as well as regarding employment generation, economic growth and innovation, development and the reduction of poverty as well as one of the terms of gender equality. This poster presents the situation of women's entrepreneurship in Europe in comparative terms, with special focus in Albania. The paper has a descriptive nature. Describes three different plans in comparative terms; the representation of men and women in entrepreneurship, the representation of women in entrepreneurship in different countries of Europe and of Europe as a whole, as well as compare to gender quota. Through the processing of secondary data from various reports and studies, this poster concludes that although that the gender equality goal is the equal participation of men and women in all sectors, including the entrepreneurship, in this sector, gender gap it is still deep. Another significant comparative aspect, it is the difference between full and part –time women entrepreneurship.
