The article presents the results of biochemical studies of the total antioxidant activity of the hepatoprotective collection of plant origin and its individual components, which show that it consists of birch leaves (Betulae folia), tansy flowers (Tanaceti flores), phytohepatol No. 2 (choleretic collection No. 2) and individual its components have pronounced antioxidant activity. More antioxidant activity founded in tansy and true hepatoprotective collection. Comparative tests of the flowers of meadowsweet, with the highest antioxidant activity, showed the promise of their use in the collections of medicinal plants as effective natural metabolic regulators. The total antioxidant activity of the water extract collection at 13.56% rel. exceeded the calculated value obtained by summing the activities of the individual components of the collection, which indicates the presence of synergism in their action, which may be of value for use in the treatment and prevention of liver diseases. When all components of the drug collection are finished, the indicator increases by 11-24 % rel., which indicates the thermal stability of the antioxidant substances that make up their composition. In the oxidation of aqueous extracts of the components of hepatoprotective collection with hydrogen peroxide, the most stable were antioxidants of birch leaves. It was found that collection only at a ratio of 7.7 g per liter of water shows synergism (15 % rel.), and the rest of all the samples we tested are antagonistic. The detected increase in the antioxidant activity of the new collection compared with the effects of its individual components allows us to consider it as a promising dosage form for use in the treatment and prevention of liver diseases.

Abstract This scientific paper is an investigation of the pharmacological activity of the new medical preparation “Phytovenol” (capsules in the dose of 150 mg/kg) on the pattern of hepatitis in rats induced by paracetamol administration. The authors of the article, for the first time under experimental conditions, detected a hepatoprotective effect that was brought about by “Phytovenol” capsule administration. This is realized due to the antioxidant, antitoxic and anticytolytic activity of the examined medicine. The study found that its efficacy is not lower than the classical hepatoprotector - “Silibor” tablets. The results obtained suggest that it is possible to extend the range of available hepatoprotectors and improve the quality of treatment for liver diseases, by introducing “Phytovenol” capsules into medical practice.

Every year, 1,700–1,850 pediatric patients apply to the Department of Toxicology of Filatov Children's City Clinical Hospital for specialized medical care. More than 56% of hospitalizations are caused by medicinal poisoning. One of the serious complications of drug intoxication is acute kidney injury (AKI). The incidence of AKI in acute chemical poisoning in childhood is from 10 to 57,6% according to various authors, therefore, the issues of effective treatment of AKI in the medical practice of doctor of any specialty are extremely relevant. The article presents the case of conservative treatment of AKI stage 3 according to the KDIGO classification in a teenager with metamizole poisoning, including inclusion of «Cytoflavin» cellular energy protector as a part of complex therapy. As a result of the treatment, the level of proteinuria and azotemia in the child has decreased. The rate of tuber filtration has increased from 20,0 to 62,4 ml/min/1,73 m2. Thus, the use of a cellular energy protector contributed to effective restoration of renal function.

Introduction: For treating patients with rosacea, it is important to study the effectiveness of drugs with both neuromodulating activity and immunomodulatory properties. The aim of the study is to examine the nature of biochemical parameters, the state of the blood antioxidant system, and the state of the immune system in patients with rosacea before and after a traditional treatment and the treatment using Cortexin. Materials and methods: 216 people participated in the study. All the patients received a traditional therapy. The patients in the study group additionally received Cortexin at a dose of 10 mg intramuscularly № 10. The clinical examination of the patients included a thorough collection of complaints, life histories, medical histories, and physical examination. The state of the skin, the hepatobiliary system, the blood antioxidant system, the immune and the endocrine systems were studied in detail. Results and discussion: The therapy using Cortexin made it possible to achieve a better clinical effect in terms of dermatological status. Thanks to the innovative treatment, 40% of the patients got rid of the clinical manifestations of the disease, and none of patients was reъъported to have no clinical effect. The patients with rosacea had disorders in the hepatobiliary system, an imbalance in the lipid peroxidation system and in the blood antioxidant system, as well as hyperactivation of the cellular and humoral parts of the immune system. The therapy with Cortexin did not have a significant advantage over the traditional treatment in the processes of normalization of the hepatobiliary system and the antioxidant system of the blood. However, Cortexin, being a complex of natural low-molecular-weight peptides, had a corrective effect on the cellular and humoral parts of the immune system. Unlike the traditional treatment, which maintained elevated levels of helper T-lymphocytes, lymphocytic index and interleukin 12, against the background of a slightly reduced level of T-lymphocyte suppressors. Conclusion: As a result of the Cortexin use in complex therapy, the patients with rosacea had a faster normalization of their dermatological and immune statuses.

The article is devoted to current scientific data on the cholelithiasis pathogenesis and opportunities for optimizing litholytic therapy. It is shown that cholelithiasis should be considered as a topical manifestation of systemic disorders of metabolic and inflammatory genesis throughout the body. The article shows the key role in the development of its insulin resistance, imbalanced cholesterol and bile acid metabolism, biliary dyskinesia, and the production of inflammatory mediators. There are factors that cause cholelithiasis comorbidity with cardiovascular diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, gastrointestinal cancer of various localization, and liver diseases. The role of cholelithiasis as a risk factor and a criterion for an adverse prognosis is justified. Pathogenetically justified method for improving oral litholysis, which provides a complex therapy effect, is considered; the rationality of using a fixed combination of ursodeoxycholic acid and glycyrrhizic acid is justified. KEYWORDS: gallstone disease, cholelithiasis, cholesterol stones, oral litholysis, ursodeoxycholic acid, glycyrrhizic acid, complex therapy, metabolic disorders.
