Complications of hypertensive patients are expected to continue to increase. Integrated Health Center of Sikumana, Kupang City is one of the major health centers that have a high case of hypertension complications in Kupang City, NTT Province. The objective of this study is to determine the role of community nurses in the prevention of complications in hypertensive patients at the Integrated Health Center of Sikumana, Kupang City. The research method is descriptive with a survey design. The population in research is nurses in the Integrated Health Center of Sikumana, Kupang City comprising 21 people. The sample was taken from the total population with inclusion criteria of PNS (civil servant) and PTT (non-permanent employee) nurses from the government, minimum education of Nursing D-III, and working period ≥ 2 years. The results showed 52.4% of nurses assessed risk factors for complications in hypertensive patients, 81% formulated nursing diagnoses, 76.2% developed intervention plans, 76.2% implemented, 54.5% conducted community empowerment, 85.7% conducted health education, 95.5% conducted referral in prevention complications in hypertensive patients. It can be concluded that the role of community nurses in the prevention of complications in hypertensive patients in Integrated Health Center of Sikumana, Kupang City has largely been conducted well, and it is recommended that nurses at the Integrated Health Center have participated actively in following various training and work on the community nursing process to comply with the latest instructions and regulations.

The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Palangka Raya City is also far from the target set by the government. Palangkaraya Health Profile in 2017 from 10 main Puskesmas in Palangka Raya City, the three lowest coverage health centers was Jekan Raya Health Center (2.58%), Menteng Health Center (6.13%), and Kayon Health Center (9.42%). The purpose of this community service is to provide assistance to improve the role of the husband in supporting exclusive breastfeeding in the Jekan Raya Community Health Center in Palangka Raya City. The community service was carried out three times to target pregnant/postpartum mothers and their husbands/families.

  ABSTRACTHypertension being a risk factor for the entrance of various degenerative diseases such as coronary heart disease, stroke and other vascular Penyait. One factor that may increase the risk of hypertension one of them is poor lifestyle such as smoking, excessive consumption of salt in the diet and lack of exercise. This study was conducted to determine the level of knowledge about the relationship with the regularity of visits Complications of Hypertension Hypertension in Patients 45 years of age at the Tembok Dukuh  health center at Surabaya. The study was an observational cross-sectional study design. Sample size were 48 people that hypertensive patients more than 45 years old  who were treated at the Tembok Dukuh  health center. Independent variables, namely knowledge about the complications of hypertension patients and dependent variable is the regularity of visits to theTembok Dukuh health center patients with hypertension  Data analysis using the crosstab tes The results with cross-tabulation (crosstab) can be seen as many as 30 people from 48 respondents have less knowledge and affect the regularity of visits to the Tembok Dukuh health center. The conclusion can be drawn that most hypertensive patients more than 45 years old whose came to Tembok Dukuh  health centers has less knowledge about hypertension complications that result in hypertensive patients regularity of visits decreasedKeyword : hypertension, knowledge, regularity of visits

This study aims to describe: (1) The formulation of the contents of the program of the University of Bengkulu Student Working Period 86 period in Tebat Monok Village 2018 Academic Year; (2) The form of community empowerment carried out as a realization of the 86th period of the University of Bengkulu Student Work Lecture program in Tebat Monok Village 2018 Academic Year; (3) Results of community empowerment carried out through the 86th period of the Bengkulu University Student Work Lecture in Tebat Monok Village 2018 Academic Year; (4) Role of Supervising Lecturers (DPL) in assisting the activities of the 86 Year University of Bengkulu University Real Work Period 2018 in Tebat Monok Village. This study used a qualitative approach to the research subjects of Students of the University of Bengkulu in the 86 86 2018 period in Tebat Monok Village the government of Tebat Monok village as a Lapanga Advisor, and University of Bengkulu P3KKN. Data collection is done by interviewing techniques and documentation. The technique used in data analysis is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Triangulation is used to explain the validity of the data by using source triangulation, technique triangulation, and time triangulation. The results of the study show: (1) The process of formulating the program content is done by drafting the KKN student work program through the KKN workshop. (2) The form of implementation of community empowerment carried out is training in packaging techniques and product labeling. (3) The results of community empowerment are carried out, namely the fulfillment of the basic needs of the community of Tebat Monok Village in the field of Entrepreneurship. (4) The role of Field Advisors is to carry out their duties and functions in accordance with existing provisions, namely by holding orientation until giving objective values.  Keywords: Community Empowerment, Training, Family Welfare.

Environmental sanitation is part of public health which includes the principles of efforts to eliminate or master environmental factors that can cause disease through activities aimed at (i) water sanitation, (ii) food sanitation, (iii) sewage systems, (iv) air sanitation, (v) vector control and disease rodents, (vi) home hygiene. When sanitation problems arise in dense residential areas that are not well ordered and are also not handled in a way that is not sanitary, it will pollute the surrounding environment. Changes in community behavior to be more environmentally friendly do not just happen, but through the process of forming behavior that has a background and motivation. The motivation then raises behavior that influences the actions and efforts of the community towards the sustainability of the activity. So that this study will also analyze the role of the community and other involved stakeholders in the mechanism of improving the sanitation of the slum environment. MCK management activities are part of the practice of community behavior in improving sanitation. The government of the North Kembangan village has tried to improve this condition through programs to improve the settlement environment with the concept of community empowerment, this program involves community participation starting from the planning, implementation to the utilization and maintenance stages. It is expected that with this community participation a sense of ownership of development outcomes can be achieved so that the sustainability of the program can be achieved.

The role of health promotion is very important in anticipating the behavior of the public to know, willing and able to mobilize mothers to Posyandu. But, the process of behavioral change in society is not easy, it is seen at the Nanggalo Health Center which has a rate visit new mothers to Posyandu is 43.2% and highest 77.1% in Puskesmas Lubuk Buaya with a target of 80%. The research has done in February until August 2015 was conducted using qualitative research methods, the research location in Nanggalo Health Center and Lubuk Buaya Health Centre in Padang City. The qualitative data was collected using interview guideline to 6 informants, document analysis and observation. Qualitative data processing by triangulation. At Nanggalo and Lubuk Buaya Health Centre there is no technical rule, financial resources, and Region Budget Income and Health Operational Financial. At Nanggalo Health Centre, Health Promotion Officer as posyandu officer, and then at Lubuk Buaya Health Centre Health Promotion Officer as activity coordinator. Lubuk Buaya Posyandu stay at citizen home and facilities are available but in Nanggalo hasn’t. Partnership and empowerement Lubuk Buaya Health Centre run as expected compare Nanggalo Health Centre cause of that the mother to visit posyandu almost reach of target. Health centers are expected to provide quality health services that meet the needs of the customers. Health centers need to improve services in order to be able to compete, develop, and grow. This study describe the satisfaction of the customers for services provided by Kendal Health Center, Ngawi, Indonesia. The population of this study were community who utilized health services at the Kendal Health Center in 2016. The sample were selected using quota sampling. Each unit of service given a quota of 20 respondents, while auxiliary health center were quota of 10 respondents, because the customer visit at a auxiliary health center were lower. The variable was the satisfaction with services provided by health center. Data were collected by filling out questionnaires, then analyzed descriptively using spiderweb diagram. In general, the results of the study indicate that the quality of health center services was in the good category, and all service units had succeeded in exceeding the predetermined targets. Garbage is a big problem in Medan City. Therefore, this study aims to find out how the role of government in empowering the community through waste management. In this study, data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation, and literature study. The analysis technique used is an interactive qualitative. Qualitative data analysis is carried out interactively and continues continuously until it is complete so that the data is already saturated. The results showed that the government did not have a special program for the development of this garbage bank. When the government has not optimally developed future development plans, the community will also feel pessimistic and unsure of the existence of this garbage bank. The community is less interested in getting involved in this garbage bank. The community felt that the training they had received was only knowledge and did not have a great opportunity to be developed. This relates to the statement that one of the obstacles in implementing community empowerment is the rejection of the community itself because the community does not have confidence.

This study aims to collect and analyze articles related to the impacts of student loan in realizing community empowerment. The background of this study is higher education costs cannot be afforded by the majority community. Although many government have launched student loan programs, the debate over failure of student loan programs in developing countries has not been resolved. The method used in this study is a literature review by collecting various sources of articles related to the issues discussed. Based on the articles collected, there are many problems such as irrelevant student loan policies, challenges in their application system, loans that could not be repaid that eventually burdened the community. The role of the government, the trust of banks, and the commitment of the community are factors that determine the success rate of achieving this student loan.

Response to HIV and AIDS requires a approaches by the parties mutually integrated. Regional AIDS Commissions (KPAD) has a crucial role in the response to HIV and AIDS. This study aimed todescribe the role of KPAD well as some of the factors inhibiting the implementation of the HIV and AIDS in East Kotawaringin. Used qualitative methods to conduct a document review and in-depth interviews with all fi ve informants which is representative of several agencies that have links to the eff orts to combatHIV and AIDS, with purposive sampling method. The Results were analyzed by means of reduction, presentation, and verifi cation of data. Results showed reduction carried through socialization andeducation about HIV and AIDS in the various elements of society, the establishment of working group of the Pal 12, formed the group “Concerned citizens of AIDS” as well as the ARV (Antiretroviral) services is not limited to a minimum value of CD4. The results showed that KPAD role in response to HIV and AIDS can not be implemented to the fullest, this is due to several obstacles, namely the existence of localization is an determinant spread of cases, the unavailability of services and ARV in all health centers, the lack of cross-sectoral cooperation, fi nancial support from the government is minimal, and the lack of HIV and AIDS Regional Regulation (Perda).Keywords: Response to HIV and AIDS, AIDS Prevention and Control Commission (KPAD)

Bamboo is a plant that can botanically be classified in the family Gramineae (grass). The economic and ecological benefits of bamboo, among other things, when compared to wood commodities, bamboo plants can provide an increase in the income of the surrounding community in a relatively fast time, which is 4-5 years. Demand that remains high is not followed by an increase in quality and prices that are compared to similar goods made from wood or other materials. This is a consideration and reduces the interest of the community to develop the business. This study aims to explore the understanding and role of community empowerment through the use of bamboo, explore the role of government in empowering bamboo-based communities and develop strategies for empowering local communities in the use of bamboo. This research is qualitative by using an emic approach that is focused on data and analysis based on answers from key people. The type of data consists of primary data obtained through interviews and observations. While the secondary data comes from the problem report documents that will be examined, writing and the results of research on the Local Community Empowerment Development Strategy. The results of this study indicate that the local community in Loksado District has the potential to develop processed bamboo production through community participation in bamboo processing and utilization training, the government and village apparatus support the processing and utilization of bamboo through programs / activities, cooperation, bamboo ecotourism and bamboo industrial products, and constraints in the empowerment of bamboo in Loksado District is in marketing and capital strategies.
