Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap pengaruh model pembelajaran kontekstual terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitaif komparatif dengan metode eksperimen. Kelompok eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran kontekstual sedangkan kelompok kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 17 Jakarta pada bulan September – November 2013. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah siswa SMK kelas XI jurusan Administrasi Perkantoran sebanyak 36 siswa. Pemilihan kelompok dilakukan secara acak sederhana. Hasil perhitungan rata-rata hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 21,06, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 18,72. Hasil pengujian normalitas data dengan dengan uji Liliefors diperoleh data kedua kelompok berdistribusi normal. Hasil pengujian homogenitas menggunakan uji Bartlett diperoleh data kedua kelompok homogen. Uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan Uji t dengan taraf signifikan á = 0,05. Dari hasil pengujian diperoleh nilai th = 1,75 > t (0,05, 34) = 1,69, thitung > ttabel, sehingga diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kontekstual terbukti lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia siswa SMK.Kata kunci: model pembelajaran, kontekstual, ekspositori, bahasa IndonesiaAbstract:This research aims to reveal about the impact of contextual learning models towards learning achievement in Indonesian Language. This research uses quantitative comparative approach with experimental method. Contextual teaching and learning (CTL) model was implemented for experimental group and expository model teaching and learning was implemented for control group. The research was conducted at the Vocational School (SMK) 17 Jakarta on September- November 2013. Samples from this study were 36 vocational school students class XI majoring in Office Administration. Sample selected by simple random sampling. Data were collected using learning output test. The result of the study was analyzed with t-test. Calculations showed average score for experiment class were 21,06, while the control class is 18,72. Both data were normally distributed and had homogeny variances. Hypotesis test using ttest at significance level á = 0,05 in t value 1,75 which was higher than F table 1,69, so it is concluded that contextual learning model had proven to be effective in improving learning outcomes of Indonesian Language. To determine the learning model that will be used in the classroom, teachers also need to consider the student characteristics and competence..Keywords: learning model, contextual, expository, bahasa.

The less optimal student learning outcomes due to underactive students and the deficient of variations in the use of models and learning media is one of the reasons this research was conducted. The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of the group investigation model assisted by audiovisual media on social studies learning outcomes of five-grade elementary school students. This research was a quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent post-test only control group design. The population in this research was the five graders contained 129 students. Taking samples for research used a sample random sampling technique. The sample of this research were 35 students for an experimental class and 35 students for a control class. Data collection methods used were test methods with multiple-choice test forms that have been validated. Data collected were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis using the t-test formula. The results of this research indicate that there are differences in social studies learning outcomes between students who were taught using the group investigation model-assisted audiovisual media and students using the conventional learning model. This is indicated by the value of t-count > t-table (3,781 > 2,000) with a significance level of 5%. So H1 is accepted. Besides, the average score of student’s social studies learning outcomes in experimental class >  average score of student’s social studies learning outcome in control class (23,71>21,29). This model can be used for teachers in creating fun learning so that they can make a good contribution to learning activities.

The 21st-Century skills are skills that must be possessed by students to compete in the era of globalization. The provisioning of these skills to students can go through the physics learning process at school. Introduction, Connection, Application, Reflection, and Extension (ICARE) learning model is one of the learning models that can be applied in Physics learning in high school to train students' skills in critical thinking, creative thinking, communication, and collaboration. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of communication and collaboration skills of students after applying the ICARE learning model. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a single-group interrupted time series design. The sample were high school students in one of the Karawang districts, consisting of 12 male students and 15 female students. During the learning activities, students will be given a worksheet with several different questions each meeting tailored to the material being studied, and the answer will be used as a source for analyzing their written communication skills. These questions lead students to be able to communicate the results of their experiments following scientific principles. Experimental activities conducted by students will be analyzed to measure their collaborative skills, and students' presentations will be used to measure their oral communication skills. The improvement of those three aspects was analyzed at each meeting. The results showed that the implementation of learning using the ICARE approach was able to improve the ability of students to collaborate with an average score of 7.87 at the first meeting to 15.93 at the second meeting. While the communication, especially report-writing skills of students, increased from the average of1.53 at the first meeting to 3.6 at the second meeting. The aspect of making presentation material increased from 1.67 to 3.17, and the aspect of oral presentation increased from 1.53 to 3.53 at the second meeting. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that students' communication and collaboration skills improve after the ICARE learning model implemented

<p><strong>Abstract: </strong>The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of group investigation learning model with multi representation on the topic of optical devices on scientific reasoning and <em>problem solving</em> skill. This study were carried out using quasi experimental method with pretest-posttest control group design and two XI MIA classes as sample. The result showed that there were an impact of group investigation learning model with multi representation on the topik of optical devices on scientific reasoning and <em>problem solving</em> skill of high school students. The mean value of scientific reasoning and <em>problem solving</em> ability of experimental class students who learned by group investigation learning model with multi representation is higher than control class students who learned by group investigation learning model.</p><strong>Abstrak</strong>: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran <em>group investigation </em>dengan multi representasi pada topik alat-alat optik terhadap kemampuan penalaran ilmiah dan kemampuan <em>problem solving</em> siswa SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan desain <em>pretest-posttest control group </em>dengan dua kelas XI MIA sebagai sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh pembelajaran <em>group investigation </em>dengan multi representasi pada topik alat-alat optik terhadap kemampuan penalaran ilmiah dan pemecahan masalah siswa SMA. Nilai rerata penalaran ilmiah dan kemampuan <em>problem solving</em> siswa kelas eksperimen yang belajar menggunakan pembelajaran <em>group investigation </em>dengan multi representasi lebih tinggi dari siswa kelas kontrol yang belajar menggunakan pembelajaran <em>group investigation</em><em>. </em>

The study aimed at examining the effect of adopting blended learning on Moroccan high school students’ English language proficiency. This has been essentially achieved through relying both on face-to-face classroom interactions and using “Google classroom”, which is a free online learning platform.  The researcher opted for a quasi-experimental design to gauge the impact of implementing a blended learning model on the research sample. This study enlisted the participation of 79 Moroccan first-year Baccalaureate students who were divided into two separate but homogenous groups. The experimental group was taught using the blended learning model, and the control group was tutored in a traditional learning environment. The mean scores’ differences of the pre-test and the post-test asserted that, in comparison to the face-to-face learning, the blended learning model adopted was significantly impactful in improving the language proficiency level of the treatment group. However, no significant gender differences were observed in this regard. In essence, this piece of research has placed much emphasis on the idea that the efficient incorporation of ICT, particularly blended learning, into the learning/teaching process can help satisfy students’ needs, increase their motivation, and eventually enhance their language mastery.

The less understanding of the discipline learning by the student causes students to violate the rules and regulations that have been set in the school environment. This problem occurs because students are not aware of the meaning of the discipline learning, so it takes effort to improve students' understanding of the discipline learning. The understanding of learning discipline of the student is not seen in terms of attendance at school, taking lessons in class, managing time, school rules and free time. One of the efforts that made in improving student understanding is by the information service of the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning model. This study aimed to test the effectiveness of information services with the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning model to improve students' understanding of the discipline learning. This research used quantitative methods. The type of research was a Quasi Experiment with the design of The One Group Pretest-Posttest (without using a control group). The population of this study were Dian Andalas Padang High School students and the sample was selected using the Purposive Sampling technique. The instrument of the research was using a Likert Scale model (a questionnaire about the understanding of student learning discipline), the data were analyzed with the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with the help of SPSS version 20. The results showed that the average score of pretest 123 and posttest 160. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that the service information with the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning model is effective for increasing understanding of student learning discipline.

[Title: The Effect of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Model with Student Worksheet Assistance toward Physics Learning Outcomes of Attohiriyah Bodak High School Students]. This research aims to determine the influence of Contextual Teaching and Learning model with student worksheets toward student’s physics study result at SMA Attohiriyah Bodak in academic year 2015/2016. The type of this research was quasi-experiment with nonequivalent control group design.  The population in this research were all students in X grade SMA Attohiriyah Bodak with amount student 149 spread out into 6 class. The sample of this research is XB as experiment class and XE as control class were drawn by purposive sampling. The study result obtained was analysis with t-test separated varians, and the results showed tcount = 3.78 and ttable = 2.01 in significant standard 5% and released standard 5. Because Ho rejected and Ha accepted. So, we can conclude that contextual teaching and learning model with student worksheets positive influence toward student’s physics study result at SMA Attohiriyah Bodak academic year 2015/2016

This study aims to determine the significant effect of the knowledge competency of Bahasa Indonesia between the group of students who were studied through cooperative script learning model with strip story media with the group of students who were not studied through cooperative script learning model with strip story media on the fourth grade of students gugus IV Kuta Selatan academic year 2017/2018. This type of study is a quasi experiment with nonquivalent control group research design. The population of study is the fourth grade of students Gugus IV Kuta Selatan academic year 2017/2018 in total 416 students. The sample is determined by random sampling technique. The sample of study is the students of class IVA SD No. 10 Jimbaran as experimental group and the students of class IVA SD No. 4 Jimbaran as control group. The mastery data of the knowledge competency of Bahasa Indonesia is collected by the instrument in form of 23 questions of multiple-choice objective test which is validated. The mastery data of the knowledge competency of Bahasa Indonesia is analyzed by t-test. The result of the analysis shows that there is a significant influence on the mastery of the knowledge competency of Bahasa Indonesia between the group of students who were studied through cooperative script learning model with strip story media with the group of students who were not studied through cooperative script learning model with strip story media on the fourth grade of students gugus IV Kuta Selatan academic year 2017/2018. It is proved by thitung = and at the significant level 5% ( =0,05) with dk = (35+30) – 2 = 63 obtained ttabel = 2,000. Based on test criteria thitung = > ttabel (α=0,05) = 2,000. As well as average score of the mastery of knowledge competency of Bahasa Indonesia of experimental students X1= 0,46 > X2= 0,20 the average score of the mastery of knowledge competency of Bahasa Indonesia of control group students. Thus it can be concluded that cooperative script learning with story strip media influence on the mastery of the knowledge competency of Bahasa Indonesia on the fourth grade of students in SD Gugus IV Kuta Selatan academic year 2017/2018.

The research problem is the lack of motivation and attention of students in the teaching and learning process of Geography and the Component Display Theory (CDT) model has not been applied in Syaloom Christian High School in Manado City. This study aims to determine the effect of the CDT learning model in improving learning outcomes in the Geography subjects of Syaloom Christian High School students in Manado City. The results were analyzed by statistical t-test obtained by the value of t count = 11.896 giving a recommendation that the research hypothesis is different. This value explains the differences in the learning outcomes of students in the experimental group Geography with the CDT learning model better than the control group learning outcomes without using the CDT learning model when viewed from the average value. Therefore, the CDT learning model that was applied to the experimental group students had a positive effect on improving student learning outcomes in Geography subjects.

Second language (L2) teaching and learning and the use of first language (L1) in the EFL classroom are debatable issues among educationists, specialists, and researchers. Some of them argue that L2 should be taught through L2 and others contend that L1 should be used as a support for L2. As a result of this controversy, the researchers have decided to conduct this study to investigate the impact of using English-only and English-Arabic on the grammar achievement of undergraduate EFL students. The research instrument used was a pre-post-test developed by the researchers. Two groups were randomly chosen: The experimental group was taught by using English-only whereas the control group was taught through English-Arabic. The variables used and may affect the findings of the study are: school-type, study-year, and Grade Point Average (GPA). Results of the study showed statistical difference in the means of students’ scores, in favor of the control group, private-school students and higher achievers. However, they revealed no statistical difference according to study-year.

Purpose of the study: the objective of this study was twofold. Firstly, it aimed to examine the effectiveness of game-based learning in the Javanese language class for junior high school students. Secondly, it was intended to investigate the responses of the students upon completing the class that incorporated the game-based learning. Methodology: This experimental research employed the post-test only control design. The data were collected from documentation, questionnaires, and evaluation tests. Further, the data were examined using a t-test. Main Findings: The game-based model is effective for the Javanese language class. The average score test of the students taught by game-based learning reached 72.6. On the other hand, those participated in a class with different treatment scored 64.5 on average. Such a difference was significant, given the output of the independent sample T-test, which was from the result of analysis using the SPSS software. Applications of this study: This study was beneficial to change the paradigm of the old-fashioned, boring Javanese teaching and learning. It promoted the idea of fun teaching and learning. On top of that, the implementation of the learning model was effective to enhance students’ The Javanese language skills, specifically in Central Java, East Java, and the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Novelty/Originality of this study: Learning models for local content subjects, such as the Javanese language, were still limited since the topic did not attract the attention of many researchers. Testing the game-based learning was among the alternatives of interesting learning methods to stimulate students to learn their local language, and thus, preserve the language in society.
