Scientific writing plays a crucial role in determining the quality of students and universities. So far, the ability of students to establish scientific works is varied. Some students can produce scientific work in an APIK (Asli, Penting, Ilmiah, Konsisten) way which means Original, Important, Scientific, and Consistent), as well as in a "SMART" (Specific, Manageable, Acceptable, Realistic and Time-bound) way. However, some of them also encounter difficulties so they need assistance on a collaborative based scientific writing through Online Research Clinic (ORC) approach. Collaborative-based mentoring can build collegiality and collaboration among tutors, students, and UPBJJ-UT managers. Effective mentoring requires an ORC approach. An online research clinic is a place designed to help students who have difficulty writing scientific papers through clinical methods, starting from problem identification, diagnosis, prognosis, synthesis, treatment, reflection using internet / online network media such as website, email, WhatsApp, telegram, Google classroom, webinars, zoom and so on. Online Research Clinic is a solution to solve students' difficulties in writing scientific papers. The existence of ORC is an innovation to create independent learning in the digital era due to its flexibility and easy accessibility at all times both face-to-face and online. Besides, it is also used by tutors and managers to collaborate in providing consultation services to students. This study aims to analyze and synthesize the management model of scientific work mentoring with a proper online clinical research approach for UPJJB-UT Semarang students. The research method uses Research and Development. Data obtained from the results of scientific work mentoring, needs analysis, testing, and model validation. Data collection techniques use questionnaires, interviews, documentation studies, observation, and FGD. The validity test uses model validation from experts and practitioners. The qualitative descriptive analysis uses data displays, data reduction, data verification, and conclusion. The results of the study conclude that the mentoring management model implemented so far was categorized as sufficient, still theoretical, and not practical yet. ORC assistance model is very important and needed because it is practical, effective, and efficient. The ORC mentoring model is very feasible so that it can be implemented to improve the quality of students in producing scientific papers for fulfilling assignments, requirements for completing study program, and scientific publications.

The effectiveness of research teams and scientists is largely estimated by their publication activity. One indicator of the quality of scientific work is the absence of plagiarism. The purpose of this paper was to consider the problems that arise with the formal-mechanistic approach to the detection of plagiarism in scientific papers. The questions of the correlation of meaning and plagiarism; quoting your own work; quoting and inaccurate quoting; the use of generally accepted expressions, laws, definitions; the need to refine anti-plagiarism systems are considered. It is shown that due to the fact that anti-plagiarism systems do not analyze the meaning of the text, “overdiagnosis” occurs. As a result of an uncritical approach to the conclusions of such systems, the writing of scientific papers becomes more complicated. The necessity of developing more accurate criteria for determining what is plagiarized in scientific papers is noted. Some suggestions were made to reduce the shortcomings of the formal approach.

The existence and quality of higher education nowadays can be influenced by the high and low levels of scientific work owned by lecturers and students. This scientific work becomes very important in the existence and quality of tertiary institutions because it's ranking at the national and international level is calculated on the ownership of the scientific work. So it is not surprising that BAN-PT as an external quality assurance institution which also has the task of assessing the accreditation of higher education also includes its assessment on this matter. Thus higher education that is technically operational at the study program level also pressures lecturers and students to be productive, which is to produce as much scientific work as possible. Even some lecturers provide requirements for students to write a scientific paper when they want to propose a thesis session. However, the number of scientific works owned by lecturers and students will not mean anything when not published in a journal that uses an open journal system. This emphasis lies in the open journal system, where the meaning will be far different from online journals. In general, not many students understand how to submit scientific papers in the form of articles to the open journal system there are still many lecturers who do not understand the process in the open journal system. For this reason, knowledge transfer in the form of technical training to submit articles in the online journal system is carried out. The main goal is to provide knowledge and insight into submitting articles. The results of the activity show the progress of understanding and knowledge, this is proven by simulations through the application of OJS version 2 which is used for the training process by the participants.

Abstract. The level of knowledge of students and lecturers who are still not sufficiently knowledgeable in finding appropriate reference sources in making scientific papers is still happening at the Harapan Bersama Polytechnic. Currently, the number and quality of citation sources for writing a bibliography of a student's scientific work that is produced is about 80% unsuitable which results in not infrequently students and lecturers who still need to increase their knowledge of digital literacy. The proposed community service activity is a workshop activity to increase knowledge and ability in examining library sources as a literature study of scientific papers. In this activity, the reference manager introduction material was given as a tool to find library sources. The method used in this activity is to use the synchronous method through online media. The training provided provides increased knowledge for students and lecturers to better understand and be able to use Mendeley's reference management software as a tool in their search for digital literacy. The results of the evaluation of activities through interviews with participants, it shows that there is an increase in knowledge and a very good response from the training participants and wants the next training to be carried out again. Keywords: Increased Knowledge, Mendeley, Reference Manager, Workshop, Literation DigitalAbstrak. One that influences human resource indicators is education. The teacher is a profession as a job of academic specialization in a relatively long time in college. Understanding related to teacher competence is very important to have by a prospective teacher because it can affect the quality of performance as a professional teacher. The teacher's competence is known as pedagogic, professional, social and personality competencies. The issue in this study is how the competency of the teacher of the Department of Geography Education FKIP Unsyiah as a prospective teacher of geography? The purpose of this study was to determine the competence of teachers in the Department of Geography Education FKIP Unsyiah as prospective geography teachers. Quantitative description approach is used in this study to find answers to the issue. The population in this study were students of the Department of Geography Education FKIP Unsyiah class of 2015 and 2016 who had been declared to have passed the Micro Teaching and Magang Kependidikan 3 course totaling 50 people. Because the population is small and can be reached, the determination of the sample using total sampling techniques so that the sample in this study is the whole population. Data collection is done by distributing test questions to respondents. The data was analyzed using the descriptive statistics percentage formula. The results of the study indicate that the level of teacher competence of Geography Education Department students as prospective teachers is in the moderate category, namely as many as 22 respondents (44%). A total of 12 respondents (24%) were in the high category, 15 respondents (30%) were in the low category and 1 respondent (2%) were in the very low category.

Parallel tiered and dynamic models of the fuzzy inference in expert-diagnostic software systems are considered, which knowledge bases are based on fuzzy rules. Tiered parallel and dynamic fuzzy inference procedures are developed that allow speed up of computations in the software system for evaluating the quality of scientific papers. Evaluations of the effectiveness of parallel tiered and dynamic schemes of computations are constructed with complex dependency graph between blocks of fuzzy Takagi – Sugeno rules. Comparative characteristic of the efficacy of parallel-stacked and dynamic models is carried out.

According to the dominant view, the quality of individual scientific papers can be evaluated by the standard of the journal in which they are published. This paper attempts to demonstrate the limits of this view in the field of economics. According to our main findings, a publication frequently serves as a signal of high professional standards rather than as a source of information; referees and editors frequently reject good papers and accept bad ones; citation indices only partially balance the distortions deriving from the selection process; there are essential “entry costs” to the publication process. Moreover, financial interests of publishers may contradict scientific interests. As long as leading economists do not give voice to their dissatisfaction, there is no hope for any reform of the selection process.
