Community service activities titled Transforming Organic Waste into Organic Fertilizer in Namo Bintang Village in May - November 2019. This activity aims to convert organic waste into organic fertilizer that has economic value, and does not endanger the environment. The method used is counseling, lectures and training as well as monitoring and evaluation with the community directly to the field. Utilization of Google Class Room is done in several places in the Biology department with the approval of the Chair of the Department. The activity was carried out by means of counseling and lectures, explaining the theory and techniques of using Google Class Room, which was followed by a group of Lecturers and Students in the Biology department at USU FMIPA.The training was conducted by a group of Lecturers and Students in the Biology department of USU FMIPA separately. All carry out this activity by proactively conducting training to get results in the form of the Google Class Room application. The equipment for using Google Class Room is only a laptop, smartphone and internet package. And finally the monitoring and evaluation of the success of monitoring work in the field will be carried out by going directly to the field together, monitoring by visiting to find out whether lecturers and students have been able to do it themselves. In addition, the relationship will be carried out by telephone to overcome the problems that arise . In general, community service activities have been successfully carried out and seen a good cooperative relationship between the Higher Education, especially the Implementation Team, the village community realizes the importance of saving the environment from at the same time improving life expectancy because it can make its own fertilizer / compost.

Community service activities titled Transforming Organic Waste into Organic Fertilizer in Namo Bintang Village in May - November 2019. This activity aims to convert organic waste into organic fertilizer that has economic value, and does not endanger the environment. The method used is counseling, lectures and training as well as monitoring and evaluation with the community directly to the field. Organic waste processing is carried out in several places in the village of Namo Bintang with the approval of the village head and the community. The activities are carried out by means of counseling and lectures, explanations of theories and integrated waste management techniques that are followed by the farmers and scavenger groups of Namo Bintang Village. The community listens to the material delivered by the community service team. The training was conducted by community groups of farmers and scavengers in Namo Bintang Village. Peasant and scavenger community groups are trained by the community service team. All carried out this activity by proactively conducting training to get results in the form of fertilizer from organic waste. The results were reviewed by community groups after 10 days of training to see organic fertilizer. The equipment for utilizing organic waste is also very simple so that community groups can make it themselves. And finally the monitoring and evaluation of the success of monitoring the work in the field will be carried out by going directly to the field together, monitoring by visiting to find out whether the community can do it themselves, besides that the relationship will be carried out by telephone to overcome the problems that arise. In general, community service activities have been successfully carried out and seen a good cooperative relationship between the Higher Education, especially the Implementation Team, government officials and the community in Namo Bintang Village. The village community realizes the importance of saving the environment from increasing their life expectancy because they can make their own fertilizer / compost.

Community service activities with the title: Utilization of Plastic Waste into Fuel Oil in Namo Bintang Village Deli Serdang Regency was planned in May to November 2019.This activity aim was to convert plastic waste into fuel which has economic value and is environmentally friendly. Community services implementation was by counselling, lectures, explanations of theories and techniques for processing plastic waste which was followed by the Namo Bintang Village Scavenger group, they listened and training to the material delivered by the community service team. Equipment for waste utilization is also very simple hence community groups can make it by themselves. Finally, monitoring and evaluation of the success of work in the field will be carried out by going directly to the field together, monitoring by visiting to find out whether the community can do it themselves.In addition, contact will be made by telephone to overcome the problems that arise.In general, community service activities have been successfully carried out and seen a good cooperative relationship between the Higher Education, especially the Implementation Team, and the community in Namo Bintang Village. Villagers realize the importance of saving the environment and at the same time improving their lives because they can make their fuel.

AbstrakSampah organik merupakan salah satu masalah besar yang sulit untuk diselesaikan di Indonesia. Laman berita internasional, anadulu academy menyatakan pada tahun 2019 ini, terdapat 67 juta ton sampah yang dihasilkan di Indonesia, diantara 67 juta ton tersebut, 60 persennya merupakan sampah organik. Padahal, didalam sampah organik ini terdapat beberapa zat seperti protein atau glukosa yang jika dimanfaatkan dengan baik dapat menghasilkan unsur-unsur hara yang dibutuhkan untuk pertumbuhan, perkembangan, dan kesehatan tanaman. Oleh karena itu, tim pengabdi berusaha meminimalisir jumlah sampah organik dalam lingkup kecil seperti di Dusun Tagog dengan cara mengolahnya menjadi pupuk organik cair atau diberi nama “Tagog Pupuk Organik Cair (Tapukor)”. Selain dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat di dusun tersebut, pupuk organik cair ini dapat dipasarkan juga dimana pupuk organik cair ini memiliki nilai ekonomis yang cukup tinggi yaitu sekitar 25.000 per 50 mL. Sehingga dengan adanya pembuatan pupuk organik cair ini diharapkan dapat turut berkontribusi secara nyata dalam pencapaian tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan (SDGs) poin delapan yakni meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang merata dan berkelanjutan, tenaga kerja yang optimal dan produktif, serta pekerjaan yang layak untuk semua.AbstractOrganic waste is one of the big problems that are difficult to solve in Indonesia. The international news page, The Anadulu Academy stated that in 2019, there were 67 million tons of waste produced in Indonesia, of which 67 million tons, 60 percent of which is organic waste. In fact, in this organic waste, there are several substances such as protein or glucose which, if properly utilized can produce nutrients needed for plant growth, development, and health. Therefore, the writer as a participant in the Sisdamas Community Service Program tries to minimize the amount of organic waste in a small scope such as in Tagog Hamlet by processing it into liquid organic fertilizer or named "Tagog Liquid Organic Fertilizer (Tapukor)". Besides being able to be used by the people in the village, this liquid organic fertilizer can be marketed also where the liquid organic fertilizer has a high economic value of around 25,000 for 50 mL. So that the creation of liquid organic fertilizer is expected to contribute significantly in achieving the goal of sustainable development (SDGs) point eight, namely promoting equitable and sustainable economic growth, optimal and productive workforce, and decent work for all

<p><em><strong>Increasing of Earthworm Cultivation Business in Teras District Boyolali Regency.</strong> </em>Earthworms are soft-bodied, invertebrates, and have many functions as decomposer organisms, fertilizer producers from organic waste, and animal protein sources. Earthworms have high economic value. This community service aims to increase the capacity of earthworm cultivation through improved feed, use of vermicompost, and improvement of business bookkeeping on partner SMEs. The community service method is socialization, earthworm cultivation training, the introduction of media (feed), bookkeeping management training, and mentoring. Community service activities are earthworm cultivation training, introducing palm dregs and tofu dregs as media (feed), vermicompost as organic fertilizer, simple bookkeeping training, and mentoring. This community service activity can increase earthworms' production capacity by 50 - 70% per two months. SMEs have other alternative media (feed), namely palm dregs and tofu dregs, for worm cultivation. SMEs are already using vermicompost as organic fertilizer. SMEs have simple bookkeeping because they have recorded the financial income and expenditure of earthworm cultivation. Overall, this service activity has provided additional knowledge for SMEs to run a business so that the business is expected to progress and develop.</p>

Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat merupakan salah satu cara supaya mahasiswa Universitas Trilogi memiliki keterampilan bermasyarakat. Khalayak  sasaran  dari  pengabdian  ini  adalah  masyarakat RW 09 di  desa Ciasihan. Kegiatan pengabdian  telah  dilaksanakan  pada  tanggal  11 Agustus-11 September yang  bertempat  di desa Ciasihan Kecamatan Pamijahan Kabupaten Bogor, dengan diikuti oleh seluruh masyarakat RW 09. Dari  hasil  evaluasi  diperoleh  hasil  dan  manfaat  dari  kegiatan  pengabdian  ini diantaranya adalah meningkatkan motivasi masyarakat akan pentingnya koperasi, dan pentingnya akan pemanfaatan sampah organik  menjadi pupuk. Kegiatan pengabdian  ini  berjalan  dengan  lancar,  karena  berbagai  pendukung  terutama  partisipasi peserta yang cukup antusias dan berpartisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan pembentukan koperasi.. Tujuan  kegiatan  pengabdian  kepada  masyarakat  ini,  yang  dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan pembentukan koperasi adalah memotivasi masyarakat akan pentingnya koperasi, dan pentingnya akan pemanfaatan sampah organik  menjadi pupuk. Selain itu, Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat ini merupakan wahana bagi mahasiswa Universitas Trilogi untuk mengabdikan keilmuannya.Kata Kunci: Pembentukan Koperasi, Masyarakat RW 09Community service activities are one way for Trilogy University students to have social skills. The target audience of this service is the community of RW 09 in Ciasihan village. Community service activities were carried out on 11 August-11 September in Ciasihan Village, Pamijahan District, Bogor Regency, followed by all RW 09 people. From the results of the evaluation, the results and benefits of this service were obtained, including increasing community motivation for the importance of cooperatives, and the importance of using organic waste into fertilizer. The opening of a free market that now spans ASEAN and Asia Pacific region becomes a challenge as well as momentum for Indonesia to be able to show its existence in the international world through various fields such as human resources, market share expansion, and others by offering innovative domestic products. This background is the basis of community service. Specifically, the purpose of community service activities are: (1) to prepare entrepreneurs who are ready to compete healthily, (2) to develop micro and small business (UMKM) of society towards better (3) to foster entrepreneurship spirit for society. Methods in the implementation of community service programs include: (1) preparatory stage, ie by consulting with lecturers intensive as well as observing the target community program, and (2) the stage of implementation of activities, that is doing entrepreneurship and skill training. The outputs of community service activities include: (1) improving entrepreneurship for the target group, (2) increasing the economic level of the target group, and (2) the results of activities in the form of published products and having economic value. Outcome obtained from this activity is the development of rice business of one citizen.

Character education is a must for countries that want to make their citizens have good attitudes and behaviors. The goal to be achieved in Community Service activities is to make students aware of the need to have and implement attitudes that have character. In the school environment, the teacher's role is to educate the character of students. Thus, community service activities want to make students aware and want to instill and develop character attitudes through socialization. Socialization is given to provide direct literacy of character education to students. Socialization is filled with questions and answers so that students who are not familiar with matters relating to character can immediately ask the implementation team.

Abstrak   Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan melalui bentuk kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan tentang pengolahan sampah di Desa Tempursari, Kecamatan Tempursari, Kabupaten Lumajang, Jawa Timur pada tanggal 12-17 Juli 2017.  Permasalahan sampah menjadi permasalahan yang belakangan sangat banyak dikeluhkan oleh masyarakat secara khusus di desa Tempursari. Kerjasama yang solid antara semua stakeholder diharapkan dalam penanganan dan pemecahan permasalahan sampah ini, seperti yang sudah dilakukan oleh masyarakat Desa Tempursari dengan kehadiran Gereja Kristen Jawa Wetan (GKJW) yang menjadi fasilitator dalam penanganan sampah di desa Tempursari. Dalam rangka mengembangkan program yang sudah disusun dan akan dijalankan, GKJW bekersama dengan Universitas Kristen Indonesia Jakarta dalam beberapa hal terkait pengolahan sampah tersebut, di antaranya mensosialisasikan pemahaman tentang sampah (jenis dan dan dampak yang ditimbulkan), bagaimana mengolah sampah sesuai dengan jenisnya dan membantu mengoperasikan mesin pencacah sampah plastik dan sampah organik lainnya. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dinilai memberikan dampak positif, di mana mesin pencacah yang tadinya sudah lama tidak berfungsi menjadi beroperasi dengan operator yang yang sudah mahir atau fasih, masyarakat mampu memilah sampah dimulai dari tia-tiap rumah tangga sebelum selanjutnya diserahkan ke tim pengolah yang sudah ditunjuk oleh gereja. Akhirnya setelah kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat bersama dengan GKJW Tempursari, maka program pelayanan masyarakat melalui pengolahan sampah oleh GKJW Tempursari mulai berjalan lancar.   Kata Kunci: sampah organik, mesin pencacah   Abstract The community service activities were carried out through the form of socialization and training activities on waste management in Tempursari Village, Tempursari District, Lumajang Regency, East Java. The problem of garbage has become a very recent problem that is very much complained by the community specifically in the village of Tempursari. Solid cooperation between all stakeholders is expected in handling and solving these waste problems, as has been done by the people of Desa Tempursari with the presence of the Gereja Kristen Jawa Wetan (GKJW) who became a facilitator in handling waste in the village of Tempursari. In order to develop a program that has been compiled and will be implemented, GKJW cooperates with the Universitas Kristen Indonesia Jakarta in several matters related to waste management, including socializing understanding of waste (types and impacts), how to process waste according to its type and helping operate plastic waste chopping machines and other organic waste. The results of community service activities are considered to have a positive impact, where the enumerating machines that have not been functioning for a long time become operational with operators who are already proficient or fluent, the community is able to sort waste starting from each household before being submitted to the processing team who has been appointed by the church. Finally after the community service activities together with GKJW Tempursari, the community service program through processing waste by GKJW Tempursari began to run smoothly.   Keywords: organic waste, chopping machine

AbstrakTelah dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian berupa pemanfaatan urin sapi menjadi pupuk organik cair pada kelompok tani “Sidodadi” dan “Maju II” desa Sukadamai Timur. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah 1) meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani/peternak dalam membuat pupuk organik cair dari urin sapi sebagai bahan utama 2) membantu meningkatkan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan petani/peternak dari sub-sektor pertanian. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dimulai dengan metode pendekatan dengan menjalin kerjasama tim pelaksana dengan LPM Unimed dan pemerintah setempat serta kedua Kelompok Tani, dilanjutkan dengan penyuluhan dan pelatihan serta penerapan langsung oleh petani/peternak. Hasil-hasil yang diperoleh adalah anggota kader dari masing-masing kelompok mitra telah : (1) memiliki pengetahuan dan wawasan tentang potensi dan pemanfaatan urin sapi menjadi pupuk organik cair, (2) memiliki keterampilan dalam pembuatan pupuk organik cair, (3) pupuk yang dihasilkan berpengaruh positif terhadap tanaman.Kata kunci : urin sapi, pupuk organik cairAbstract The service activities have been carried out at the “Sidodadi" and "Maju II” farmer groups, East Sukadamai village by the utilization of cow urine as the starter in liquid organic fertilizer. This service activities began with a partnership approach with the implementation team with LPM Unimed and local governments as well as the Farmers Group, followed by counseling and training as well as direct application by farmers. The results of implementation of the project showed that the member of each groups; (1) have the knowledge and insight about the potential and the usage of cow urine as starter in fabrication of liquid organic fertilizer; (2) have good skill to prepare liquid organic fertilizer; (3) have shown the positive effect of the liquid organic fertilizer on growing the plant. The service was done at Penggaron Lor Districk, especially in RW 03 & 04, there are many people with diabetes who lack the knowledge and skills in caring for family members suffering from Diabetes Mellitus at home. Community service activities in the form of Family-Based Self Management Education Support Group (KP-DSME Keluarga) is one of the solutions to deal with this problem. The method used to carry out this Community service activities program are socialization, improvement of competence, implementation of activities, monitoring and evaluation. The resulting target and output is the implementation of science and technology on the self-care of diabetitian patients to health cadres in providing assistance to families who have diabetitian at home effectively based on recent literatures. The number of cadres involved in this PKM are 14 health cadres from PKK RW 3 and 4 PKK. The conclusion in this PKM activity is increasing the readiness of family members to perform self-care on family members who suffer from DM and increasing diabetee self care behavior.
