Reading time is a practice carried out by the school to support the literacy movement in Pekanbaru's Raudaturrahmah SDIT school, the program is held on Friday after Friday prayers, students are provided with 40 minutes of reading any books in school, and students bring books from home, and each week students have to report to the class teacher the results of the books they read, and at the end of each semester the class teacher reports to the school head as a result of reading time. The aim of this research is to improve the literacy culture in education system. This research used a qualitative descriptive study, namely research that intends to understand the phenomenon experienced by research subjects holistically by describing it in the form of words in a specific natural context and by utilizing various natural methods as well. The result is The GLS concept applied by SDIT Raudaturrahmah Pekanbaru is at the stage of developing GLS, and has a special GLS program that is reading time which is held every Friday with a time allocation of 30 minutes.

The outbreak of the Covid-19 virus has had an impact not only on the decline of the people's economy but also on the education system in Indonesia. As a result, the learning process is shifted to online learning. The application of online learning is inseparable from various problems, not only concerning facilities and infrastructure but also regarding the goals of education itself. The purpose of this study was to determine the problems of the application of online learning, especially in the affective and psychomotor domains. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Sources of data obtained through interviews with research subjects Islamic religious education teachers at Islamic Senior High School Miftahul Ulum Opo-Opo Krejengan, Probolinggo. The results obtained indicate that the problems in the application of online learning in the affective and psychomotor domains concern student learning interests, the value of honesty and a sense of student responsibility, and student discipline. Meanwhile, in the psychomotor realm, the problem found is related to the implementation of teacher practice or assessment of student skills

This research aims at knowing: (1) the realization of politeness of verbal and non-verbal directive speech acts of students, (2) deviations on politeness principles of students’ directive speech acts, and (3) the determining factors to the politeness and non-politeness of verbal and non-verbal directive speech acts for the Tenth Grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Mataram in the process of learning in the classroom. Research subjects in this study were the teachers who taught Indonesian, English, Economics, History, Mathematics, Religion, Civics, and Natural Sciences (IPA), and all students who are in class X of IPS 2, IPA 1 and IPA 3 in SMA Negeri 1 Mataram. This research belongs to qualitative descriptive study. The data were collected using observation method. The results of this study showed that: (1) there is the emergence of speech acts of the verbal and non-verbal directive of the students in the learning process, such as directive speech acts of rebuking, commanding, banning, advising, asking, reminding, satirizing, suggesting, threatening, rebuking, and (2) there is deviation of the principle of politeness of directive speech acts that is deviation of principle of one maxim, two maxim, and deviation of three maxim, and (3) there are influencing factors for the politeness and non-politeness of verbal and non-verbal directive speech acts of students in the learning process , including linguistic and non-linguistic factors.

This study aims to analyze unemployment in Kelurahan Gates Nan XX Lubuk Begalung Subdistrict of Padang City which is seen from the aspect of family social status, education, income and time allocation. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Data collection techniques are observation, interview and documentation. To test the validity of data used Triangulation Technique. The results of this study indicate that unemployed are classified as half-unemployed come from families who have low economy. This can be seen from the work of parents as Fishermen, Merchants, and Daily laborers. Furthermore, many youth drop out and choose to work as fishermen, casual laborers, and fish traders in Gates Nan XX Village with an average income of Rp 50,000 per day and have 3-5 hours working hours per day. Keywords:Unemploymen

The Extraordinary School (SLB) 4 Jakarta is a school special for deafness students. The deafness students has a difference with a normal students, so there are special treatment for them especially in mathematics teaching. When we observe to school, we get some information about they services to students,  one of the information was that the mathematics teacher taught students using inquiry model. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the application of mathematics learning models in SLBN 4 Jakarta for class XI students with hearing impairment in terms of planning and implementing learning, student responses and test results during the learning process, as well as the learning tools or media used. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with research subjects namely one mathematics class teacher and five students of SLBN 4 Jakarta class XI in the 2018/2019 school year. The collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that (1) The preparation of mathematics learning planning in SLBN 4 Jakarta curriculum used was the 2013 curriculum (2) The implementation of mathematics learning in SLBN 4 Jakarta used the expository method and MMR (Reflective Maternal Method) (3) There were 2 results of learning activities, namely student responses and test results (4) mathematics learning tools or media used by teachers are still conventional.

<em>Guidance and counseling is an inseparable part of the education system. Likewise at Kaliwungu Elementary School which has implemented the Guidance and Counseling program. The Guidance and Counseling Program is implemented to direct and overcome problems experienced by students, both in academic and non-academic fields. These problems include lazy and slow in learning, undisciplined, fight, and so forth. The purpose of this study was to find out how the implementation of guidance and counseling programs at  Kaliwungu elementary school. This method of research is a qualitative descriptive study with interview and observation technique. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the guidance and counseling program at Kaliwungu elementary school is carried out by the class teacher. The form of guidance given is individual guidance and group guidance. Individual counseling is an ecletive counseling by the teacher advising and directing students according to the problem. Group guidance in the form of remedial teaching and home room program</em>

This study aimed to determine students' mistakes in solving mathematics problems on the rational and irrational inequality of one variable. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The research subjects consisted of 36 students consisting of 17 boys and 19 girls. The research instrument used was a learning achievement test consisting of three items that referred to Basic Competence (KD) 3.2 Explain and determine the resolution of rational and irrational inequalities of one variable. From KD 3.2 developed into three Indicators of Competency Achievement (IPK). Each item measures a different IPK. Students' answers were analyzed descriptively qualitatively by looking at the types of mistakes students made on each item. The results showed that the mistakes made by students were concept errors, principle errors, and operating errors. The mistakes made by students are caused by students not being careful in solving problems and not understanding the rules of algebraic operations.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menyelidiki penerapan kurikulum 2013 pada pendidikan dasar di Pekanbaru dan (2) menyelidiki kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru pada pendidikan dasar di Pekanbaru dalam menerapkan kurikulum 2013. Ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang menggambarkan penerapan kurikulum 2013 oleh para guru di pendidikan dasar di Pekanbaru dan kendala yang mereka hadapi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah enam pendidikan dasar di Pekanbaru yang menerapkan kurikulum 2013. Subjek adalah Sekolah Dasar 36 sebagai sekolah yang memiliki kelompok belajar besar, sekolah dasar 160 sebagai sekolah yang memiliki kelompok belajar sedang, sekolah dasar 134 sebagai sekolah yang memiliki kelompok belajar kecil, SMA 1, SMA 6, dan SMA 23. Data dikumpulkan dengan mengamati pembelajaran dan mewawancarai para guru dan kepala sekolah. Data yang dianalisis menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis kurikulum 2013 di sekolah dasar di Pekanbaru belum berjalan dengan baik. Ada beberapa kendala dalam menerapkan kurikulum 2013 dalam pendidikan dasar di Pekanbaru seperti, (1) pemahaman guru masih kurang dari kurikulum 2013; (2) belum ada perubahan "pola pikir" guru untuk pembelajaran kurikulum 2013; (3) sinkronisasi antara guru kelas dan guru PJOK belum terjadi; dan (4) para guru belum memahami penilaian otentik pada kurikulum 2013.   This research aims to (1) investigate the implementation of curriculum 2013 at basic education in Pekanbaru and (2) investigate the obstacles which faced by teachers at basic education in Pekanbaru implementing the curriculum 2013. This is a qualitative descriptive study which describing the implementation of curriculum 2013 by teachers at basic education in Pekanbaru and the obstacles which they faced. The subject in this study were six basic education in Pekanbaru which implementing the curriculum 2013 The subjects are the elementary School 36 as the school which having large study group, the elementary school 160 as the school which having medium study group, the elementary school 134 as the school which having small study group, yunior high school 1, yunior high school 6, and yunior high school 23. The data was collected by observing the learning and interviewing the teachers and headmaster. The analyzed data showed that the learning based of curriculum 2013 at elementary school in Pekanbaru had not gone well yet. There were some obstacles on implementing curriculum 2013 in basic education in Pekanbaru such as, (1) the understanding of teacher was still less to the curriculum 2013; (2) there is no change of “mindset” of teacher to the learning of curriculum 2013 yet; (3) the sychronization between the class teacher and the PJOK teacher is not happened yet; and (4) the teachers did not understand the authentic assessment on curriculum 2013 yet.

Teachers’ understanding is important in preparing assessment based on Higher Order Thingking Skills (HOTS) in elementary school learning in the city of Palembang. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The research subjects were teachers who taught Grade VI Elementary Schools in Palembang, which amounted to 8 people. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The results showed that the understanding of elementary school teachers in the city of Palembang was 71.87% in the good category. However, the teacher's understanding when differentiating between HOTS and not HOTS shows that the category is sufficient with 57.5% of teachers being able to distinguish between HOTS questions. Teachers still experience problems in preparing HOTS-based assessment instruments for learning in elementary schools that showed 78,125%. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop guidelines for developing HOTS-based assessment instruments for learning in elementary schools.Keywords : Understanding, Assesment, HOTS

This study aims to describe the teacher's perception of the obstacles in the implementation of e-learning in the learning process and the recommendation to solve the problems. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The research subjects were two teachers who taught at a University in Yogyakarta. The research data collected through in-depth interviews, which were analyzed descriptively by using interactive techniques. The Interactive analysis is done by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of the data analysis show that two teachers were not too familiar with e-learning, so they still have many obstacles in the teaching process by using e-learning. There are several obstacles, such as obstacles in teaching by using e-learning as devices, teachers' knowledge, time management, and students ’motivation. In order to run e-learning entirely, then these obstacles should be solved first. There are two teachers suggest overcoming the obstacles, such as training for the teachers, and repairing the facilities of the institution.

This study aims to analyze the gaps and potential of Jambi local wisdom as a basis for the development of science textbooks. This research was a qualitative descriptive study. The research subjects were students of class VIIIE and VIIIF at SMPN 1 Muaro Jambi, which totaled 43 people and science teachers. This study uses the instruments to observations sheet and questionnaires for students and teachers. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results show that; (1) the science textbooks available at SMPN 1 Muaro Jambi not yet have integrated into Jambi local wisdom and there are no questions about scientific literacy; (2) the results of observations indicate that the supporting facilities in science learning such as laboratories are still lacking, but other facilities such as classrooms and library are quite good; (3) material that can be integrated with Jambi local wisdom including substance pressure, vibrations, waves, sound and optical.
