The study aims to identify motivational factors that lead to collective intelligence and understand how these factors relate to each other and to innovation in enterprises. The study used the convenience sampling of corporate employees who use collective intelligence from corporate panel members (n = 1500). Collective intelligence was found to affect work process, operations, and service innovation. When corporate employees work in an environment where collective intelligence (CI) is highly developed, work procedures or efficiency may differ depending on the onset of CI. This raises the importance of CI within an organization and implies the importance of finding means to vitalize CI. This study provides significant implications for corporations utilizing collective intelligence services, such as online communities. Firstly, such corporations vitalize their services by raising the quality of information and knowledge shared in their workplaces; and secondly, contribution motivations that consider the characteristics of knowledge and information contributors require further development.

The study is to identify motivational factors that lead to collective intelligence and to understand how these factors relate to each other and to innovation capabilities in enterprises. The relationships between each of the sub-factors of the collective intelligence construct with the sub-factor of incremental innovation were examined. The study used the convenience sampling of corporate employees who use collective intelligence from corporate panel members (n=1500). Collective intelligence was found to affect work process, operations, and service innovation. This suggests that as work processes are made more innovative, the more actively collective intelligence is pursued, the greater the improvement in the performance of work processes, work procedures, work efficiency, customer satisfaction, and services. This study provides significant implications for corporations operating collective intelligence services such as online communities. First, such corporations vitalize their services by raising the quality of information and knowledge shared in their communities. Additionally, contribution motivations that take the characteristics of knowledge and information contributors into consideration require further development. The sample for this study was identified through convenience sampling of corporate employees who use collective intelligence from corporate panel members (n=1500). A comparative study was made of the ways in which Australian universities are disseminating information about their courses over the World Wide Web. The study examined the quantity and quality of the information provided, the forms in which information is presented, and means of access to the information. The results of the survey indicated that while the majority of universities are now publishing at least some information over the World Wide Web, both the quantity and quality of information is variable. Implications for further development of institutional course information databases are discussed.

The paper is devoted to the description of the technical evolution of the MSU-GS equipment installed on spacecraft of the Elektro-L series. The MSU-GS equipment is designed for imaging the Earth from a geostationary orbit in the visible and infrared spectral ranges with a resolution of 1 to 4 km at intervals of up to 15 minutes. The problems identified during the operation of the equipment on the Elektro-L No. 2 spacecraft are described. The main problem was the insufficient cooling of infrared photodetectors. The operation of the passive system for radiation cooling of infrared radiation detectors is described in detail. The modernization of this system made it possible to reach the required photodetector temperature values on the Elektro-L No. 3 spacecraft. The main results of MSU-GS operation on the Elektro-L No. 3 spacecraft are presented. The modernization of the equipment made it possible to significantly improve the quality of information from infrared channels in comparison with the Elektro-L No. 2 spacecraft. Much attention is paid to assessing the possibility of improving the scanning efficiency. Possible future upgrades of the MSU-GS equipment and the Elektro-L series spacecraft can improve the full Earth disk coverage characteristic to up to 5 minutes, which exceeds the characteristics of best foreign counterparts.

This article introduces Cognitive Health Counseling 40+ (CH.CO40+), an individualized intervention that is conceptually based on the orchestration model of quality-of-life management ( Martin & Kliegel, 2010 ) and aims at improving satisfaction with cognitive health in adults aged 40 years and older. We describe the theoretically deduced characteristics of CH.CO40+, its target group, its multifactorial nature, its individualization, the application of subjective and objective measures, the role of participants as agents of change, and the rationale for choosing participants’ satisfaction with their cognitive health as main outcome variable. A pilot phase with 15 middle-aged and six older adults suggests that CH.CO40+ attracts, and may be particularly suitable for, subjective memory complainers. Implications of the pilot data for the further development of the intervention are discussed.
