The phenomenon of character education in Indonesia has existed along with the realization of the 2013 Curriculum. Character education was implemented even before the 2013 curriculum was implemented in schools. Character education is a school-based effort that helps a person or group of people care, understand, act seriously to apply ethical values. The purpose of character education is to help students develop optimal potential in various matters related to morality, citizenship, courtesy and ethics, behavior, being healthy, critical, success that will meet social norms and can be accepted in society both at home and globally. . Which one day the nation's children will become human beings with quality and noble character. With character education, students can apply character values ​​such as religious, responsible, democratic, honest, trustworthy, leadership, fair and polite in their attitude. Character education that is integrated in the 2013 Curriculum creates the next generation who is ready to face future challenges whose goal is that students have better abilities in the ability to observe, ask (interview), reason, and communicate (present) what they get or know after receive subject matter. The 2013 curriculum which is based on character and competence lies in the core competencies of K-I 1 which includes spiritual attitudes; K-I 2 includes social attitudes; KI-3 includes knowledge, and KI-4 skills

<p>This research aims to find out the scouting extracurricular activities for character education in discipline at Zaid Bin Thabit SMPIT Bogor. The formation of this character is very important, education in Indonesia must have the development of the potential of students to become human beings who believe and obey God Almighty, have good character, have good knowledge, are creative, independent, disciplined and become citizens who are democratic and responsible, and one of the activities that is able to change it is scouting extracurricular activities. The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with 30 respondents in eighth grade. Data collection is done through interviews, observations, and documents. Data analysis technique is done by presenting data, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that character education can be obtained namely, the accuracy of program targets, program implementation, and program monitoring in scouting extracurricular activities for disciplined character education. More than half of the students enjoyed participating in scouting activities, and stated that scouting activities needed to be carried out at school. Based on this research, scouting activities can be an alternative in discipline character education.</p><p><strong><br /></strong></p><p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p class="16bIsiAbstrak">Penilitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler kepramukaan terhadap pendidikan karakter dalam kedisplinan di SMPIT Zaid Bin Tsabit Bogor. Pembentukan karakter ini sangat penting, pendidikan di Indonesia harus memiliki perkembangan potensi peserta didik agar menjadi manusia yang beriman dani bertaqwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, berakhlak mulia, berilmu cakap, kreatif, mandiri, disiplin dan menjadi warga negara yangi demokratis serta bertanggung jawab, dan salah satu kegiatan yang mampu merubahnya adalah kegiatan ekstrakurikuler kepramukaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penilitian ini adalah metode diskriptif kualitatif dengan responden sebanyak 30 orang pada kelas delapan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumen. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan penyajian data, reduksi data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter dapat diperoleh yakni, ketepatan sasaran program, pelaksanaan program, dan pemantauan program dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler kepramukaan terhadap pendidikan karakter kedisiplinan. Lebih dari setengahnya siswa senang mengikuti kegiatan kepramukaan, dan menyatakan bahwa kegiatan kepramukaan perlu dilaksanakan di sekolah. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, kegiatan kepramukaan dapat menjadi alternatif dalam pendidikan karakter kedisiplinan.</p>

<p align="center"><em>This study discusses the study of Qur'an Hadith in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah with Multidisciplinary Integrative Approach. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the subjects of Al-Qur'an and Hadith in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in the context of the Curriculum 2013, describing what is the theme of hadith in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in the context of the 2013 curriculum and offers a model of Qur'an Hadith learning in MI. The research method used is qualitative approach with analytical descriptive method. The results suggest that the Qur'an and Hadith Subjects in the context of the 2013 Curriculum in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah not only emphasize the knowledge and spiritual aspects (Core Competencies 3 and 1), but further emphasizes the behavioral aspect as a manifestation of knowledge and spirituality contained in the Qur'an and Hadith that conditioned the birth of social attitudes (social intelligence), or often called the Core Competence. The themes of hadith in classes 1 and 2 of MI are Hadiths concerning the hygiene of Muslim history from Abu Malik al-Ash'ari, the Hadith about the superiority of the Qur'anic study of Bukhari's history of Uthman ibn Affan and Hadith on respect to Tirmizi's parents from Abdullah bin Umar. The learning model that can be used is by integrative multidispliner approach with subjects of civic and Indonesian education with storytelling method, field trip and video.</em></p>

The large number of delinquency phenomena of school students is one of the crucial problems that are the big responsibility of educational institutions. In this context, the embodiment of character values ​​in all forms of the learning process in schools is a necessary and important thing to always be emphasized. This study aims to see the effectiveness of the implementation of character education through the storytelling method for students at the senior secondary education level, such as vocational high schools (SMK). Given that so far the storytelling method is more dominant in middle and lower education students. This research is a qualitative research in the form of observation and interviews. The subjects in this study were students of SMK Negeri 3 Pekalongan. Meanwhile, the theory used as an analysis knife is the theory of Thomas Lickona and Tony R. Sanchez. This study concludes that character education through the storytelling method can attract students' attention and imagination in listening to and living the moral messages about ethical values ​​contained in storrytelling, especially if the story material is a factual story that comes from religious teachings or the life story of a scientist in field of student vocational concentration taken at the SMK. Banyaknya fenomena kenakalan siswa sekolah merupakan salah satu masalah krusial yang menjadi tanggung jawab besar lembaga pendidikan. Dalam konteks ini, perwujudan nilai karakter dalam segala bentuk proses pembelajaran di sekolah menjadi hal yang perlu dan penting untuk selalu ditekankan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat keefektifan implementasi pendidikan karakter melalui metode bercerita pada siswa jenjang pendidikan menengah atas seperti Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Mengingat selama ini metode bercerita lebih dominan pada siswa pendidikan menengah ke bawah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif berupa observasi dan wawancara. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMK Negeri 3 Pekalongan. Sedangkan teori yang digunakan sebagai pisau analisis adalah teori Thomas Lickona dan Tony R. Sanchez. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan karakter melalui metode mendongeng dapat menarik perhatian dan imajinasi siswa dalam menyimak dan menghayati pesan moral tentang nilai-nilai etika yang terkandung dalam penceritaan, terutama jika materi cerita merupakan cerita faktual yang bersumber dari ajaran agama atau kisah hidup  seorang ilmuwan di bidang konsentrasi siswa SMK yang diambil di SMK.

This research was motivated by the spread of radicalism ideology that’s carried out by leaders of some boarding schools (Islamic school of Qur’anic studies), the degradation of society moral, and the immoral behavior in education institutions. This research aims to investigate the core ethical values of character education based on Islamic values in Islamic boarding schools to facilitate the embedding of those values in Indonesian society so that the radicalism ideology, moral degradation, and immoral behavior can be eliminated. This research uses a qualitative approach and method. The type of research is library research; data were obtained from books, journals, and other relevant references. Then the data were analyzed by using content analysis techniques. The result of this research shows that the core ethical values of character education based on Islamic values in Islamic boarding schools are divided into four core teachings of Islamic studies, namely al-fiqh (fiqh), al-tauhid (monotheism), al-tasawuf (Sufism), and al-akhlaq (moral). Values consist in those four core teachings are cleanliness, health, neatness, faith, piety, belief toward blessing (baraka), moderate, benignity, simplicity, self-attitude of accepting and feeling sufficient for the results of his efforts (qonaah), sincerity, humility, religious culture, respect for older people, and hard work. AbstractThis study aims to analyze the relationship between values education and character education in the material of norms and justice for grade 7 SMP/MTs subjects of Pancasila and Citizenship Education. This study uses a qualitative approach by means of library research as a technique of collecting data from various related references to analyze content. The results of the study indicate that value education and character education in civic education have an integrated relationship with each other. With value education, students have values in themselves which are considered good, right, worthy and valuable to take action. Actions based on these values are manifested in character education as a guide for good behavior in the family, school, friendship, community. Good character values must always be instilled in children from an early age so that they become good habits and reflect human beings who have character and are civilized or make good citizens. The values contained in character education are manifested in civic education subjects, one of which is in the material of norms and justice for grade 7 SMP/MTs.Keywords: education, character, values, normsAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterkaitan pendidikan nilai dan pendidikan karakter dalam materi norma dan keadilan kelas 7 SMP/MTs mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan cara studi kepustakaan sebagai teknik pengumpulan data dari berbagai referensi yang terkait untuk menganalisis konten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pendidikan nilai dan pendidikan karakter dalam pendidikan kewarganegaraan saling memiliki keterkaitan yang terintegrasi. Dengan pendidikan nilai, peserta didik memiliki nilai-nilai dalam diri yang mana dianggap baik, benar, layak dan berharga untuk melakukan tindakan. Tindakan berdasarkan nilai tersebut terwujud dalam pendidikan karakter sebagai pedoman dalam bertingkah laku baik di lingkungan keluarga, sekolah, pertemanan, masyarakat. Nilai-nilai karakter yang baik harus selalu ditanamkan sejak dini kepada anak-anak agar menjadi kebiasaan yang baik dan mencerminkan manusia yang berkarakter serta beradab atau menjadikan warga negara yang baik. Nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam pendidikan karakter diwujudkan dalam mata pelajaran pendidikan kewarganegaraan, salah satunya pada materi norma dan keadilan kelas 7 SMP/MTs.Kata kunci: pendidikan, karakter, nilai, norma

Education should lead to creating human beings who believe in the Divine. Here, their personality in the characteristics of ‘Ibadurrahman is to become true believers, as mentioned in the Holy Qur’an. Such characteristics as the faithful servants of God are necessarily taught in Islamic education. The word ‘Ibadurrahman as stated in the Qur’an (Surah al-Furqan, verse 63-77) is indeed the core of character education. This article describes what and how the character of ‘Ibadurrahman works and how it constructs the objectives of Islamic education. Methodically, this article is a library research considering the data examined and analyzed are based on library references. The result shows the Holy Qur’an has set an example of human personality, a true believer who owns the character of ‘Ibadurrahman, the loving servant of God. Character education based on ethical values of religious teachings is considered urgent to be promoted as a basic capital to sha- pe human beings who have superior character, play an active role in creating a peaceful society and a dignified nation. Education in the Qur›an strongly emphasizes aspects of morality. The verses that contain emphasis on cognitive are determined by morality, as well as things that are ritualistic, such as prayer which is a ritual aspect directly related to God at the end is to look right and left which symbolizes the necessity to have social care. The concept of education in the Qur›an is implied by the use of the terms tarbiyah, ta›lim, tadris, ta›dib and tazkiyah. From the term, it is understood that the Prophet Muhammad. as a source of exemplary always strives to educate people to be able to read and express the meaning contained in the Qur›an and can practice it. The five terms are important in providing a clear concept for character education in the perspective of the Qur›an, which has the purpose of forming a pious person who has divine values in him. To achieve this goal the Qur›an provides an overview of the use of various approaches, methods and steps in character education. The implementation and results can be seen in the stories of the prophets in inviting and educating their people.

Abstract. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the flight-related core competencies for professional airline pilots and to structuralize them as components in a team performance framework. To achieve this, the core competency scores from a total of 2,560 OPC (Operator Proficiency Check) missions were analyzed. A principal component analysis (PCA) of pilots’ performance scores across the different competencies was conducted. Four principal components were extracted and a path analysis model was constructed on the basis of these factors. The path analysis utilizing the core competencies extracted adopted an input–process–output’ (IPO) model of team performance related directly to the activities on the flight deck. The results of the PCA and the path analysis strongly supported the proposed IPO model.

Mental revolution of education requires efforts to print educated human beings by having the motivation to meet the standards of achievement excellence, such as ethos of progress, ethics, achievement motivation, discipline, optimistic, productive, innovative and active views. This can be implemented with character education. Character education is one of the soft skill tools that can be integrated in learning in each subject. Learning activities using an active learning approach have a strategic role in instilling national character values so that students are able to behave and act on values that have become their personality. The purpose of this study was to find and analyze about: 1) Implementation of Character Education to Build Adiwiyata-Based Mental Revolution and Multiculturalism; 2) Implementation of Character Education to Build Mental Revolution in Organizational Culture. This study uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological naturatistics (phenomenology approach), with a descriptive type of case study research design. Data were analyzed using data analysis techniques: data reduction, data analysis and conclusions. The results of the study are: The application of character education to develop a mental revolution can be started from the character of building the environment. Environmental character is very important for individual development. The implementation of character education in building a mental revolution can emphasize the internalization of multicultural values and Adiwiyata which in the end will form a loving environmental awareness and foster a spirit of tolerance.
