The article discuses the issues of implementation of the program of laboratory works in the process of distant teaching the subject “Technical protection of information”. The necessity to use special equipment and special research methods in the course of a laboratory workshop in a full-time training is indicated. The actual approaches of organizing a laboratory workshop during distant and mixed learning for a number of typical engineering and technical subjects are analyzed. The use of programs for structural and functional modeling of electronic circuits in laboratory works during distant and mixed learning is rationalized. The article analyzes the functional features that exist in the known programs of circuit simulation, which are important from the point of view of the implementation of circuit modeling in the study of technical protection of information. As an example, the stages of performing the tasks of the laboratory work on the study of the properties of the 220 V mains power filter, suppressing high-frequency interference, are given. The stages of the methodology for interacting with trainees are given when using the Qucs application package with partial replacement of laboratory work with modeling. The problem of the research lies in the contradiction between the need to fulfill the requirements for a specialized laboratory workshop of the subject “Technical protection of information” for a number of technical specialties and objective difficulties or even impossibility of its full implementation in a traditional form during remote and mixed learning. The purpose of the study is to present an argument for implementation of circuit modeling programs to partially replace a laboratory workshop with work with specialized software tools that can be successfully used for training in a remote format with a minimum deployment time. Research methods - analysis of modern approaches to the implementation of laboratory workshop tasks in the world and in Russian and best practices of their application Conclusion: From the standpoint of cross-platform solution of import substitution, reduction of licensing costs, it is of interest to use the open source circuit modeling program Qucs in the teaching process. Some particular results obtained by the authors indicate the possibility of its application to study at least some topics of the subject “Technical information security”

A new type of case study, called the real-time case (RTC), was produced in the fall of 2001 and distributed via the Internet to business classes at four universities in the US and Canada. The real-time case presented the story of one company's growth and development throughout a 14-week semester. A case writer stationed full-time at the subject company published case installments weekly on the Web, allowing students to view the company-building process as it happened. The 14-week coverage of RTC enabled students to study the subject company in unprecedented depth and detail. RTC's real-time interactivity allowed students to share their analyses and best thinking with the company leadership during the company’s decision-making process.A major objective in producing the case was to heighten student engagement with the case material. To evaluate whether this objective was achieved, a survey and a focus group discussion were conducted with one of the participating MBA classes. Results from the survey and the focus group showed a high degree of engagement, plus many other benefits from the new type of case study.

Abstract An interpretative review of research on adult-infant interactions involving the analysis of movement behaviors is presented, systematically linking previous studies to current research on the subject. Forty-two articles analyzing the dyad's interactive movement in the period 1970-2015 were found. Twelve papers were excluded, including only those that studied the phenomenon in the baby's first year of life. The results revealed that movement was a central topic in early interaction studies in the 70s. In the 1980's and 1990's, its study was marginal and it is currently resurging under the embodiment perspective. The conceptual framework and research methods used in the pioneering work are presented, and the thematic foci shared with current research are highlighted. Thus, essential keys are provided for the updated study of early interactions from a multimodal perspective.

This study was conducted with regard to the phenomenon of Islamic religious education graduates who became class teachers in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Pangkalan Susu distric. The purpose of this research is to know: 1) Problematic graduates of PAI as classroom teachers in planning instructional. 2) Problematic graduates of PAI as classroom teachers in implementing instructional. 3) Problematic graduates of PAI as classroom teachers in conducting instructional evaluation. The type of research is using qualitative research methods with phenomenology approach. The subject of research is the graduate of Islamic Religious Education who has become a class teacher. The result of the research that problematic of PAI graduates as teacher of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah class in planning instructional in Pangkalan Susu sub-district of Langkat district is still having difficulties to make instructional plan independently. Besides these three Madrasah Ibtidaiyah also do not have a library that can provide books that qualified to be used as a source of learning. While in implementing the instructional is the similarity of teachers in the method of learning and the lack of mastery of the material. This is due to their lack of knowledge about the variety of instructional methods and the lack of mastery of the material. On the other hand these teachers rarely attend training, seminars, workshops that can provide information for development for their profession. As for the evaluation of learning is not yet meet the assessment procedures. This is because the teacher has not understood the way the preparation of the implementation Plan of instructional.

The purpose of this paper is to clarify the nature of research methods in the history of economic thought. In reviewing the "techniques" which are involved in the discipline, four broader categories are identified: a) textual exegesis; b) "rational reconstructions"; c) "contextual analysis"; and d) "historical narrative". After examining these different styles of doing history of economic thought, the paper addresses the question of its appraisal, namely what is good history of economic thought. Moreover, it is argued that there is a distinction to be made between doing economics and doing history of economic thought. The latter requires the greatest possible respect for contexts and texts, both published and unpublished; the former entails constructing a theoretical framework that is in some respects freer, not bound by derivation, from the authors. Finally, the paper draws upon Econlit records to assess what has been done in the subject in the last two decades in order to frame some considerations on how the past may impinge on the future.

The Arabic language is often categorized as a second language that is hard to learn and practiced as a means of communication. Although the government has made the Arabic language as the subject of elementary school through college, it does not make the Arabic language acquisition is easier and practicable for students to learn it. The level of language acquisition of each person is different; some can easily absorb the new language. This is because language acquisition is based on a natural process beneath the conscious. Therefore, by using descriptive qualitative research methods, this study aims to find the appropriate strategies for improving Arabic language acquisition based on student personality. The result of this study proves that extrovert or introvert personalities have different approaches to language acquisition. Extroverts tend to be more open, while introverts tend to be more closed. Extrovert personalities with more open tendencies have a more spontaneous language acquisition pattern, whereas introvert personalities with more inclined tendencies have a more disciplined and structured language acquisition pattern.

The Archival Science journal in the years 2011–2020 – an analysis of research papers Archival Science is currently the most important archive journal, published in English since 2001. The aim of this article is to analyse articles published in that journal in the years 2011–2020. Four types of issues were analysed: the authors’ affiliations, geographical characteristics of articles, research methods and the subject of the published texts. As a result, it was noted that authors of articles come mostly from English-speaking countries (which confirms the trend from the years 2001–2010, studied by Eric Ketelaar in 2010) and when the subject of an article focuses on a specific geographical area, it concerns English-speaking countries as well. It was observed that many research articles do not present specific research methods and those that do mention not only traditional methods, such as archival research and a literature review, but also methods characteristic of social sciences (e.g. an interview, observation, survey). Ten most popular subjects described in the analysed texts include: digital issues, the underprivileged, state archives and documentation, the history of archives, human rights, decolonisation, ethics, preparing archival materials, social archives, the profession of an archivist and documentation manager.

AbstractThis essay argues that the definition of the USSR's political system as a “party-state,” ignores the crucial difference between the majority of the members of the CPSU who hold positions in the Soviet state and the minority who are full time party officials with no such position and who regard themselves as the natural leaders of the party as a whole. To highlight this distinction, this essay defines the party officials as the “inner party” and the party members who man the state as the “outer party” and focuses on the ongoing dispute among party officials over the most effective way to provide leadership of the Soviet state. This conflict is expressed indirectly in the published discussion of the relative importance of officials' “internal work” (personnel management, verification of fulfillment and ideological education) and their “economic work” the close supervision of state agencies' administration of the five year plans. The essay briefly summarizes Stalin's own formulations on the subject, the conflict between Malenkov and Zhdanov over this issue from 1939 to 1948, and the ongoing debate among officials after the reform of the departments of the Secretariat in 1948. The bulk of the essay analyzes the widely divergent views of officials' priorities presented at the Nineteenth Congress of the CPSU in October 1952. It concludes that Western scholars have generally underestimated the role of the Congress in the creation of the political oligarchy that ruled the USSR after 1953.

Case method has been a popular pedagogy in management education. It is a preferred evaluation tool which is inherently subjective in nature. This article compares the results of case-based evaluation in marketing discipline, in announced and unannounced settings, for full-time and part-time management programmes and discusses its implications. The data were collected from the formal evaluation made by a faculty of an Association of MBAs (AMBA) accredited management institute of India. The results suggests that for full-time residential MBA programmes, use of relative marks for grading each component of the evaluation is likely to be a more robust evaluation mechanism than using just the marks or using the consolidated marks for final grading. However, neither surprise quiz nor announced quiz provide any robust and unbiased method of evaluating the performance of the students of part-time non-residential MBA programme as the result are also dependent on variables like work and family, which are extraneous to the student’s interest and proficiency in the subject.

In my study, I list the directions of migration research, all from the point of view of public administration science. The emergence of migration research as an independent field is necessitated by the growth of migration. Researchers are researching the phenomenon of migration from their own field. Public administration uses a multidisciplinary, i.e. methodological approach of several disciplines, all of which is determined by the knowledge and nature of the subject of the given research. In the following, I review and evaluate the methodological directions of the research, which can provide an answer to a segment of the phenomenon of migration. The study gives an insight into research methods for migration research. It is not intended to present specific examples and procedures. At the end of the study, in possible directions, beyond the science of public administration, I list the organizations and faculties that are able to use the methodology of migration research.

The serotonergic Retzius neurons of the leech midbody ganglia respond in a complex manner to pressure pulses of acetylcholine (ACh) applied onto their soma with a fast depolarization followed by a slower hyperpolarization and an additional delayed long-lasting depolarization. The delayed depolarization is the subject of the present study. The delayed depolarization could be elicited by long (>1 s) ACh pressure pulses or by short pulses (10 ms) of carbachol, nicotine and DMPP, but not by muscarinic agonists. It was inhibited by bath application of nicotine (10-100 micromol l-1), strychnine (100 micromol l-1) and atropine (10-100 micromol l-1). Nicotinic antagonists that blocked the fast depolarization and the slow hyperpolarization (100 micromol l-1 mecamylamine and d-tubocurarine) did not affect the delayed depolarization induced by carbachol. Partial replacement of the extracellular Na+ by glucamine caused a decrease in the amplitude of the response and a shift of its reversal potential to more negative values. Carbachol pulses applied to Retzius neurons of the ganglia innervating the reproductive segments elicited delayed depolarizations of much smaller amplitude than the ones recorded in Retzius neurons from standard segments. The delayed depolarization could be elicited by the application of short agonist pulses onto different loci over the surface of the ganglion, at a distance from the soma. Isolated cultured Retzius neurons did not exhibit the delayed depolarization although they readily expressed the earlier phases of the complex cholinergic response. Carbachol pulses applied to the soma of other neurons in the leech ganglion produced a variety of specific responses.The results suggest that the delayed depolarization was produced by the activation of a cationic conductance mediated by receptors with a pharmacological profile similar to that of the <IMG src="/images/symbols/&agr ;.gif" WIDTH="9" HEIGHT= "12" ALIGN="BOTTOM" NATURALSIZEFLAG="3">9 nicotinic receptors and was not a byproduct of the early phases of the cholinergic response. The response seemed to be initiated in the extensive neuropilar processes of the Retzius cell, enabling a persistent excitatory signal.
