Abstract Purpose: The objectives of implementing community service include providing insight to teachers about best practice writing and providing best practice writing training. Method: The method used is field observation. The target in community service is junior-high school educators in Waru Sidoarjo district. These activities are carried out in the form of training activities, teaching, discussions, and research writing practices. Results: The training that has been carried out on middle-high school educators, namely (a) educators respond well to training in the PPM program, (b) educators have the motivation to improve in making scientific papers, (c) variety of scientific language is a common material in Indonesian language lessons so that educators are active in participating in training, (d) the teachers have a fairly good understanding in writing scientific papers, and (e) the educators respond well to aspects of the implementation of activities, aspects of the presenters, and aspects as a whole. Then, the final results show that from 44 participants, quantitatively that 30 participants have finished writing a best practice writing report, and only 14 participants still needed improvement. Conclusions: Through community service, teachers are able to make research through best practice. Although, there are some teachers who need revision related to the research content.

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan (1) Pengetahuan siswa SMP tentang cara perawatan wajah yang tepat sesuai jenis kulit wajah dan perawatan kulit kepala, (2) Kemampuan siswa dalam pengaplikasikan perawatan wajah dan rambut sesuai dengan kondisi kulit dan kulit kepala masing-masing siswa, (3) kebermanfaatan dan kepuasan peserta melalui pelatihan. Metode kegiatan yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah ceramah, demostrasi dan praktek. Hasil kegiatan (1) terselenggaranya  kegiatan pelatihan sebagai bentuk pengetahuan penampilan diri yang tepat untuk usia pubertas; (2) Para peserta dapat mengaplikasikan keterampilan tersebut dirumah agar menambah rasa percaya dirinya dalam sebuah pergaulan baik di lingkungan sekolah maupun masyarakat maupan sekolah. (3) Evaluasi terhadap  pelaksanaan kegiatan  dapat dilihat pada respon peserta terhadap tingkat kebermanfaatan  kegiatan pelatihan menunjukan  kegiatan pelatihan bermanfaat dengan rerata skor 3,42 dan respon peserta terhadap kegiatan pelatihan adalah puas dengan rerata 3,47. Kepuasan peserta terlihat pada setiap aspek, yaitu aspek penyamapaian materi, aspek materi, aspek fasilitas yang diperoleh, dan aspek hasil yang diperoleh. AbstractThe community service aim to improve (1) Knowledge of junior high school students about facial care according to the type of facial skin and scalp care, (2) Students ability to apply facial and hair care according to the skin and scalp conditions of each student, (3) participants usefulness and satisfaction through training. The method this training are lectures, demonstrations and practices. The results of the activity (1) implementation of training as a form of knowledge of proper appearance for the age of puberty; (2) Participants can apply these skills at home in order to increase their confidence in an association both in the school and the community; (3) Evaluation of the implementation of activities can be seen in the responses of participants to the level of usefulness of the training activities showing that the training activities are beneficial with a mean score of 3.42 and the participants' responses to training activities are satisfied with the average of 3.47. Participant satisfaction is seen in every aspect, namely the aspect of material achievement, material aspects, aspects of facilities obtained, and aspects of the results obtained.

Training Activities

Tujuan Pelatihan Pembelajaran STEAM bagi Guru IPA SMP di Kalimantan Timur adalah agar guru dapat memiliki keterampilan membuat proyek pembelajaran IPA jenjang SMP dan sederajat dengan mengintegrasikan bidang Science, Technology, Engineering, Art. dan Mathematics. Pelatihan diselenggarakan selama lima hari, mulai tanggal 22 hingga 26 Juni 2021 dan diikuti oleh 10 guru IPA SMP dan sederajat di Kalimantan Timur. Indikator keberhasilan kegiatan dirumuskan: 1) 80% peserta atau sebanyak 8 peserta hadir dalam pelatihan, 2) terlaksananya seluruh kegiatan pelatihan, 3) 70% peserta atau sebanyak 7 peserta mampu membuat proyek STEAM dan menyusun laporan; serta 4) respon positif dari peserta kegiatan. Instrumen yang digunakan antara lain soal pre-test dan post-test pemahaman pembelajaran berbasis STEAM serta angket respon peserta. Adapun tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan meliputi: 1) Tahap persiapan; 2) Tahap pelaksanaan; 3) Tahap monitoring, evaluasi dan pelaporan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan kegiatan pelatihan mencapai seluruh indikator keberhasilan kegiatan yaitu: 1) seluruh peserta yang diundang hadir dalam pelatihan yaitu sebanyak 10 orang, 2) seluruh kegiatan pelatihan dapat terlaksana sesuai jadwal, 3) 80% peserta mampu membuat proyek dan menyusun laporan yaitu sebanyak 8 orang, serta 4) diperoleh respon positif dari peserta kegiatan, hasil angket respon berada pada kategori sangat baik dengan persentase sebesar 95%. The purpose of the STEAM Learning Training for Junior High School Science Teachers in East Kalimantan is to have the skills to create science learning projects by integrating the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art. and Mathematics. The training was held for five days, from 22 to 26 June 2021 and was attended by ten junior high school science teachers in East Kalimantan. The indicators for the success of the activities were formulated: 1) 80% of participants or as many as 8 participants attended the training, 2) the implementation of all training activities, 3) 70% of participants or as many as 7 participants were able to do STEAM projects and compile reports, and 4) positive response from activity participants. The instruments used include pre-test and post-test questions on understanding STEAM-based learning and participant response questionnaires. Implementing the training activities includes 1) Preparation stage; 2) Implementation stage; 3) Monitoring, evaluation and reporting stages. The results of the evaluation show that the training activities achieved all indicators of activity success, namely: 1) all participants invited to attend the training were 10 participants, 2) all training activities were carried out according to schedule, 3) 80% of participants were able to do projects and compile reports, which amounted to 8 participants, and 4) a positive response was obtained from the activity participants, the results of the response questionnaire were in the very good category with a percentage of 95%.

Abstrak Pengabdian kepada masyarakat merupakan bagian integral tri dharma perguruan tinggi yang melibatkan dosen, mahasiswa, dan tenaga kependidikan. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat bertujuan memberikan makna kebermanfaatan keberadaan Program Magister Administrasi Pendidikan kepada sekolah Kasih Immanuel dalam meningkatkan kompetensi mengimplementasikan kurikulum 2013. Populasi seluruh guru SD, SMP, SMA Kasih Immanuel sebanyak 15 orang dan sampel penelitian seluruh guru, namun yang hadir 12 orang. Data diperoleh dengan wawancara mendalam terhadap kepala sekolah dan guru. Selain itu data diperoleh melalui instrumen pre test dan post test. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat menunjukkan: (1) Guru mengajar merangkap di SD, SMP, dan SMA, (2) Guru yang memenuhi standar kualifikasi pendidikan 50%, (3) Guru yang sudah tersertifikasi 25%, dan (4) Pemberian bimbingan teknis implementasi kurikulum 2013 sangat bermanfaat meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik, personal, sosial dan profesional. Implikasi pengabdian kepada masyarakat guru semakin termotivasi melengkapi rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) dan meningkatkan profesionalitas guru.  Kata kunci: Kompetensi, implementasi, Kurikulum 2013 Abstract Community service is an integral part of the three pillars of higher education that involves lecturers, students, and education staff. Community service aims to give meaning to the usefulness of the existence of the Educational Administration, graduate Program Universitas Kristen Indonesia to the Kasih Immanuel school in improving the competence of implementing the 2013 curriculum. The population of all elementary school, junior high school students is Kasih Immanuel as many as 15 people and a sample of all teachers, but there are 12 people present. Data obtained by in-depth interviews with principals and teachers. In addition, data were obtained through pre-test and post-test instruments. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of community service show: (1) Teachers teaching concurrently in elementary, middle and high school, (2) Teachers who meet the 50% educational qualification standard, (3) 25% certified teachers, and (4) Providing technical implementation guidance the 2013 curriculum is very useful in increasing pedagogical, personal, social and professional. The implications of service to the teacher community are increasingly motivated to complete the lesson plan and increase teacher professionalism.  Keywords: Competence, implementation, curriculum

Small sided-games training is a small-scale field, an appropriate situation developed for young players, so they can learn and develop. Small sided games training is also one of the methods of soccer training using smaller fields with fewer players. This training method  is a fairly effective exercise in physical improvement, techniques and tactics Passing is to feed the ball or pass the ball to a friend, while passing determination is the ability to set goals / pass the ball according to the goal or target. This research is an experimental research conducted with the aim to find out whether or not there is a result of something done on the sample to be studied. The research began with a pretest and ended with a posttest. The number of samples in this study amounted to 20 people. The training given was done during 16 meetings. This research was tested using a statistical analysis of the hipotsis test (t test). Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the small sided games exercise gives a significant effect on the accuracy of passing on extracurricular students at SMP Negeri  1 Muaro Jambi, proven in the pre-test and post-test assessments with an average pre-test = 505 and post-test = 7.65, with the increment difference of 7.65. This can be seen by the T test that is Tcount = 3.492787 ˃ Ttable = 1.72913. Based on the results of research and  calculations from the data and discussions that have been carried out, this research proves that there is an influence of small sided games training on the passing accuracy of extracurricular students at Muaro Jambi State Junior High School. This community service was a training in writing descriptive text for junior high school students in Joboan village, Probolinggo city. The method of this community service covered four stages: a) analyzing, b) planning and developing the content, c) implementing and d) training. In analyzing stage, the writer found problems faced by the students in writing descriptive text. In planning and developing the content stage, the writer developed method to write descriptive text by utilizing picture and guided question. With this pandemic situation, in implementing stage, the writer gathered 10 participants by applying health protocol suggested by the Government. Training stage was done for three days, 20-22 of July 2020. In the first day, the writer gave explanation related descriptive text. In the second day, the participants started to practice writing descriptive text by using picture and guided question. Feedback was given in the third day. The results of this training were shown by the presence of all participants three days in a row, they also gave responds and asked questions enthusiastically in the training process. The participants no longer faced difficulty in writing descriptive text since they knew that picture and guided question can help them write descriptive text better. TRAINING ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ONTO-SEMIOTIC APPROACH IN CLASS LEARNING FOR TEACHERS AT JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL AL-BAHJAH TULUNGAGUNG. The purpose of this community service activity is the teachers training by implementing an onto-semiotic approach in classroom learning and produce a lesson plan. This activity done at Junior High School Al-Bahjah Tulungagung. The participants are teachers in Junior High School Al-Bahjah Tulungagung. The method used is theory method and practice. The results obtained throught this training are knowldge of innovative learning with an onto-semiotic approach for teachers and their ability to create and implement the lesson plan with an onto-semiotic approach.

Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas guru dalam mengajar mata pelajaran Bahasa inggris di Kabupaten Tabalong. Diharapkan para guru dapat mengenal dan mengaplikasikan teknik mengajar bahasa Inggris yang lebih efektif, menyenangkan, dan modern. Adapun sasaran dari kegiatan ini adalah guru-guru MGMP SMP mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris di Kabupaten Tabalong yang berjumlah 30 orang. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah metode kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran dan mendeskripsikan kegiatan pelatihan tentang teknik mengajar Bahasa Inggris yang modern. Pada kegiatan Pengabdian ini ditemukan sebagian besar guru belum mengetahui teknik terbaru dalam pengajaran Bahasa Inggris. Jadi, pelaksanaan pelatihan dilakukan melalui penyampaian materi, diskusi, dan praktik. Materi yang disampaikan disesuaikan dengan program-program yang sesuai dengan silabus pada tiap sekolah. Materi tersebut berkaitan dengan perancangan dan teknik pengajaran yang diikuti oleh praktik pengajarannya. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan ini menjadi salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan inovasi dan kreativitas para guru dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar Bahasa Inggris di sekolah, khususnya di tingkat SMP.                              This activity aims to deliver a short training to improve the creativity of junior high school teachers for teaching English in Tabalong District. It is expected that teachers can recognize and apply teaching techniques that are more effective, fun, and modern. The subjects of this activity are 30 junior high school teachers of English MGMP in the district of Tabalong. The method used in this community service is a qualitative method that aims to provide an overview and describe training on modern English teaching techniques. In this community service activity, it was found that most of the teachers did not know the latest techniques in teaching English. As a result, the training was carried out through the delivery of material, discussion, and practice. The material presented was adjusted to the programs which fit the syllabus in each school. The material was related to design and teaching techniques, followed by the teaching practice. It can be concluded that this short training is one way to improve teachers' innovation and creativity in teaching and to learn English, especially in junior high school level.

Abstrak   Dalam penulisan karya tulis ilmiah, diperlukan kalimat efektif. Kalimat efektif adalah kalimat yang dapat mengungkapkan gagasan pemakainya secara tepat dan dapat dipahami secara tepat pula. Bahan kajian yang baik tidak akan dipahami pembaca secara baik apabila penulisnya tidak mampu menjelaskan ide-idenya dengan kalimat efektif. Fenomena yang terjadi saat ini adalah beberapa guru belum menggunakan kalimat efektif dalam menulis karya tulis ilmiah. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut, perlu dilakukan pelatihan menulis kalimat efektif bagi guru, khususnya penyusunan karya tulis ilmiah (PTK) dalam menulis kalimat efektif pada PTK dalam bentuk Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PPM). Kegiatan PPM ini telah dilaksanakan oleh Tim Prodi PBI UNIPA Surabaya dan berjalan dengan baik secara virtual. Hal tersebut dapat buktikan dengan berdasarkan hasil tes akhir peserta, kemampuan menulis kalimat efektif guru dengan kriteria kesepadanan struktur sebesar 70%, kecermatan 65%, kehematan sebesar 80%, keparalelan 70 %, dan kelogisan sebesar 75%. Dengan demikian, dapat dikatakan bahwa hampir semua peserta dapat menulis kalimat efektif dalam penyusunan PTK sesuai dengan kaidah bahasa Indonesia.   Kata kunci: kalimat efektif, karya tulis ilmiah, guru SMP   Abstract   In writing scientific papers, effective sentences are needed. Effective sentences are sentences that can express the ideas of the wearer precisely and can be understood precisely too. Good study material will not be well understood by readers if the writer is unable to explain his ideas in the right sentence. The current phenomenon is that some teachers have not used effective sentences in writing scientific papers. Based on this phenomenon, it is necessary to carry out training in writing effective sentences for teachers, especially the preparation of scientific writing (PTK) in writing effective sentences in the CAR in the form of Community Service Program (PPM). This PPM activity has been carried out by the PBI UNIPA Surabaya Study Program Team and is running well virtually. This can be proven by the results of the participants' final tests, the teacher's ability to write effective sentences with the structural equivalence criteria of 70%, accuracy of 65%, savings of 80%, parallelity of 70%, and logic of 75%. Thus, it can be said that almost all participants can write effective sentences in the preparation of PTK according to Indonesian principles.   Keyword: effective sentences, scientific papers, junior high school teachers

The Creation

Desktop mendeley application is actually an application intended to facilitate the creation of citations and a list of libraries commonly used by the authors, so the authors will be pressed error in making the bibliography and facilitate in obtaining the writings to be cited. In addition to creating scientific papers, this application can also be used to manage the files of online journal articles that are the output of a scientific work. Furthermore, participants can utilize this application for the purpose of making a bibliography or collection of abstracts of certain fields of journal articles subscribed. Training activities undertaken in Community Service activities show that participants have a material understanding and the potential to make refernsi managers better and maximum by utilizing mendeley desktop applications.

Partners in the implementation of this service Kemplang UMKM Gabus Fish Krupuk Mang Arsyad and UMKM Pempek Kemplang Krupuk Nona located in the jayalaksana hall of the village 3-4 Ulu subdistrict opposite ulu 1. Based on the situation analysis, it can be identified several problems faced by partners, namely: The level of management and accounting knowledge is very minimal in both partners. This is motivated by the level of education of partner managers who are educated with junior high school education and the highest senior high school. The implementation method used in conducting school management management activities as well as structuring school financial statement structuring consists of 2 stages. namely stage 1 delivery of material, stage 2 guidance and assistance in preparing financial statements.
