Digital globalization and Ukrainian integration into the global economic space have speeded up digitalization and determined it as a driver of increased competitiveness, economic activity and sustainable development of economic entities. Steady modernization of existing and creation of new digital and information technologies necessitates changes in the format of business models of business entities, approaches to their management. Radical changes in the strategy of business development and enterprise management processes under the influence of digitalization in the near future will become necessary prerequisite of viability and development in the digital ecosystem «state – business – society». In view of this, the purpose of this work is determined as study of the world experience and prerequisites for the transition of enterprises to digital management and development of the reference model of the economic activity and enterprise development digitization management. The approach to the digitization of economic activity management and sustainable development of domestic enterprises is proposed in the work with taking into account the world experience of business administration digitalization. It is substantiated that the enterprise management digitalization requires the definition and rethinking of forms, trends, methods, technologies and digital engineering tools, innovation policy and corresponding corporate culture, communication mechanisms between all management units for quick implementation of changes. The results of the work prove that the implementation effectiveness of management actions and measures for enterprise management digitalization, its activity and development depends on the selected digital transformation technologies, the possibility of relevant data information arrays forming, their analytical processing and presentation for certain decisions making in real time. The reference digitalization model of economic activity management and enterprise development is elaborated; its distinctive feature is the integration of three platforms (information, analytical and management) in one management loop, which allows obtaining the synergistic effect of the management process digital transformation at all its levels. The practical implementation of the proposed digitalization model of economic activity management and sustainable development of the enterprise allows gaining strategic benefits from business processes conversion and managing them into digital format, providing the management process optimization and the possibility of decisions making in real time.

This article examines a new form of economic activity organisation for industrial enterprises in the context of the digital transformation of the economy. The analysis of networking in the cluster and economic approaches has allowed us to identify the guiding principles of interaction between economic actors, and the resulting effects and “values”. The platform education proposed by the author as an organisational and economic activity form is the digital ecosystem component, which is a spatial and temporal environment for the functioning of enterprises. A scheme for assessing data and process management in this ecosystem has been developed using the metrics proposed by the author. This scheme reflects the production-logistics chain formed in the framework of the actors’ integration in the digital ecosystem.

This article describes how competitiveness is a desideratum of any rational management process. Under the conditions of globalization and the imperatives of sustainable development, the need for competitive management at both micro and macroeconomic level is a necessity. Unfortunately, in many areas of economic and social activities in Romania, the authors find a lack of competitiveness in most areas of activity. This places Romania in an unfavorable place in the world hierarchy. Based on these considerations and based on data provided by the World Economic Forum through the Global Competitiveness Report for 2016-2017, this article highlights the place and weaknesses of Romania in the various aspects of competitiveness.

Management can be understood as a “bonsai” integrating its roots in long-term bases with the trunk of general management growing from it supporting a cultivated treetop branching out in the real time. Managers need to develop a new understanding of the management process that will respond to global trends in the world’s economy. More precisely it needs to create more progressive management styles. Management will be successful if it is based upon people’s own knowledge and their development. In addition it has to look beyond the confines of the company and even of the country and to take into account the on-going and permanent development of technology. With particular regard to technology, man should be seen as a bearer of knowledge, regarded as an investment and seen as a source of long-term profit.

Aim. The presented study aims to develop an organizational and economic mechanism for managing the competitive sustainable development of an industrial enterprise that would increase the enterprise’s performance and the sustainability of its development in a competitive environment and in the context of the digital transformation of the industry.Tasks. The authors analyze and formulate the concept of the organizational and economic mechanism for managing the competitive sustainable development of an industrial enterprise; develop the organizational and economic mechanism for managing the competitive sustainable development of an industrial enterprise; identify stages in the process of managing the sustainable development of an industrial enterprise; evaluate the economic potential of an enterprise.Methods. This article is based on the analysis and formalization of the main provisions of the study, which uses economic-mathematical and economic-statistical methods to assess the performance and development of an enterprise.Results. The urgency of improving the efficiency of managing the competitive sustainable development of an industrial enterprise is justified. The concept of an organizational and economic mechanism for managing the competitive sustainable development of an industrial enterprise is formulated and the stages of this management process are identified. An organizational and economic mechanism for managing the competitive sustainable development of an industrial enterprise is developed, ensuring an increase in the enterprise’s performance.Conclusions. Application of the organizational and economic mechanism for managing the competitive sustainable development of an industrial enterprise will make it possible to keep track of unfavorable market trends and adequately respond to them, thus increasing the performance of the enterprise.

At present, a number of economic actions undertaken by the Russian enterprises for development, directly or indirectly, lead to water and air pollution, nuclear radiation and many other perverse outcomes. The environment destruction is closely related to the enterprises activities that implement minerals and natural resources in their performance. If an enterprise establishes a reliable organizational management process, analyses the research and production process and implements modern equipment, then it can, to a certain extent, avoid environmental pollution, thereby preserving space for the economic activity.

The controlling system is one of the most promising tools for effective enterprise management. Unitary enterprises of water and waste disposal, the situation in which has been characterized for a long time as a crisis, are reproached with the inefficiency of the system of financial and economic activity management. Актуальность предложенной статьи обусловлена вопросами устойчивого развития регионов, получившее распространение в связи с концепцией устойчивого развития, выдвинутой мировым сообществом на рубеже 80-90-х гг. XX в.. В последние годы этот процесс заметно интенсифицируется, что связано с возрастающим значением устойчивого развития регионов как важнейшего фактора повышения эффективности в новых условиях хозяйствования. Ведущим подходом к исследованию данной проблемы является задействование прогрессивных источников экономического роста, значительного усиления экологизации хозяйственной деятельности, создания условий для развития человеческого потенциала. The relevance of the proposed article is due to the issues of sustainable development of regions, which became widespread in connection with the concept of sustainable development put forward by the world community at the turn of the 80-90s. XX century. In recent years, this process has been noticeably intensified, which is associated with the increasing importance of sustainable development of regions as the most important factor in increasing efficiency in the new economic conditions. The leading approach to the study of this problem is the involvement of progressive sources of economic growth, a significant increase in the greening of economic activity, and the creation of conditions for the development of human potential.

N. Mirzayev. COVID-19 pandemic and innovative agrarian economy The COVID – 19 pandemic has had and continues to have a profound effect on all areas of our lives. One of the main areas affected by the pandemic is agriculture. The article emphasizes the need to apply science-intensive technologies and expand innovative activities to ensure sustainable development of agriculture in the current pandemic. The importance of new generation technologies in accelerating the innovative development of the agricultural sector is also studied. Positive results have been obtained on issues that need to be solved when organizing and developing an economy based on an innovation system in the agricultural sector in a pandemic. The article considers the main current global trends in the field of foreign economic activity. The modern perspective of the development of the world economic space is justified. The legislative basis for the introduction and application of customs clearance procedures is given. The transition to sustainable development through the creation of a balanced system that combines environmental safety, social justice and economic efficiency is justified from the point of view of the study of the functioning and development of participants in foreign economic activity. However, the activation of states in the development of foreign economic activity is currently at different levels of interest, which explains the differences in the forms and features of regulation, time characteristics and degree of control. The main point in ensuring the effectiveness of foreign economic activity is to ensure the synergy effect in the development of strategic directions for further development between the world economic system – the state and the participants in foreign economic activity. The article highlights several main directions of ensuring sustainable development: the trajectory of the economic development of the enterprise, the achievement of social goals, compliance with the norms and rules of environmental behavior and foreign economic activity of the enterprise. The definition of sustainable development is given as the ability of a set of elements that represent a system to acquire and maintain positive dynamics of development based on improving the capabilities of business process participants in relation to the effective functioning of the ecosystem as a whole. An integral part of any foreign trade transaction is a well-regulated customs clearance procedure. Often, the time spent on performing customs operations may exceed the transit time and even the production time of the goods. At the same time, each algorithmic step of customs clearance contains a number of risky situations that can potentially destroy the entire international supply chain and lead to a violation of obligations under foreign trade transactions. Currently, in the customs of the Russian Federation, there is no single approach to the sequence of the customs clearance process, which allows us to talk in the article about the development of an algorithm of actions.
