The ongoing pandemic of the novel severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has placed a substantial strain on the supply of personal protective equipment, particularly the availability of N95 respirators for frontline healthcare personnel. These shortages have led to the creation of protocols to disinfect and reuse potentially contaminated personal protective equipment. A simple and inexpensive decontamination procedure that does not rely on the use of consumable supplies is dry heat incubation. Although reprocessing with this method has been shown to maintain the integrity of N95 respirators after multiple decontamination procedures, information on the ability of dry heat incubation to inactivate SARS-CoV-2 is largely unreported. Here, we show that dry heat incubation does not consistently inactivate SARS-CoV-2-contaminated N95 respirators, and that variation in experimental conditions can dramatically affect viability of the virus. Furthermore, we show that SARS-CoV-2 can survive on N95 respirators that remain at room temperature for at least five days. Collectively, our findings demonstrate that dry heat incubation procedures and ambient temperature for five days are not viable methods for inactivating SARS-CoV-2 on N95 respirators for potential reuse. We recommend that decontamination procedures being considered for the reuse of N95 respirators be validated at each individual site and that validation of the process must be thoroughly conducted using a defined protocol.

The tourism sector contributes a lot to the economic development in Indonesia, it can be seen from the number of new job opening, increasing the income of the state and increasing the economy of the people around the tourist destination. However, in its development, tourism has also experienced many problems, such as the increasingly tight competition among Southeast Asian countries in controlling the world tourism market target to make its region as the world's main tourist destination in the region. A poorly-organized marketing strategy can be a major problem in market target. It happened at the outbound tourist attraction of Bali Treetop Adventure Park located at Eka Karya Bali Botanical Garden, Bedugul, Tabanan Regency. Many tourists do not know the attraction of this outbound tour. This is due to lack of information for tourists about the tourist attraction, a less precise marketing strategy is suspected to be the main problem. The purpose of this research is to find out the marketing strategy of Bali Treetop Adventure Park at Eka Karya Bali Botanical Garden, Bedugul, Tabanan Regency. Types of data that is used are qualitative data and quantitative data with approaches through observation, interviews, questionnaires distribution to tourists, literature study and documentation. The data analyzed in the research is the explanation of various explanations of data obtained directly from the managers of Bali Treetop Adventure Park and tourists during this research took place. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated inequalities, including among the healthcare workforce. Based on recent literature and drawing on our experiences of working in operating theatres and critical care in the UK’s National Health Service during the pandemic, we review the role of personal protective equipment and consider the ethical implications of its design, availability and provision at a time of unprecedented demand. Several important inequalities have emerged, driven by factors such as individuals purchasing their own personal protective equipment (either out of choice or to address a lack of provision), inconsistencies between guidelines issued by different agencies and organisations, and the standardised design and procurement of equipment required to protect a diverse healthcare workforce. These, we suggest, have resulted largely because of a lack of appropriate pandemic planning and coordination, as well as insufficient appreciation of the significance of equipment design for the healthcare setting. As with many aspects of the pandemic, personal protective equipment has created and revealed inequalities driven by economics, gender, ethnicity and professional influence, creating a division between the ‘haves’ and ‘have-nots’ of personal protective equipment. As the healthcare workforce continues to cope with ongoing waves of COVID-19, and with the prospect of more pandemics in the future, it is vital that these inequalities are urgently addressed, both through academic analysis and practical action.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit Indonesia, one of the most-impacted industries was its tourism sector. After the government developed various transmission prevention policies, a press release from the Indonesian president in May 2020 established the new normal terms. These new terms sought to allow Indonesians to return to travel as soon as possible with several protocols in place. However, the post-pandemic situation has made some Indonesians feel an intolerance towards the uncertainty of changes in the tourism component. Through a descriptive quantitative approach using the theory of Intolerance of Uncertainty (IU), this study aimed to determine what Indonesians feel about uncertainty, how they feel about it, and how to reduce these feelings in Camilleri’s five components of tourism. The results showed that Indonesians feel uncertainty in every component of tourist destinations, with accommodation being the most significant factor, followed by financial, protocol readiness, and health factors, particularly the threat of contracting the virus and the number of cases. Therefore, appropriate handling to eliminate the number of affected cases and the uncertainty of crowds in the destination can significantly contribute to creating the ideal situation awaited by most Indonesians before they decide to return to travel.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a global impact on all aspects of human life including tourism. The COVID-19 crisis pandemic has caused a major fall in tourism activity around the world, especially in Bandung, West Java. According to data from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparenkraf) there were around 1 million workers unemployed in tourism sector. This condition is also felt by the tourism sector and MSMEs in Cimenyan Village, Bandung, West Java. Regulations regarding activity restrictions, prohibitions for tourist attractions to operate, as well as dine-in restrictions for restaurant, coffee shops, and cafes have resulted a decreasing of the Cimenyan Village’s people’s income and caused a massive unemployment in this sector. With theclosure of several tourist attractions in Cimenyan Village, namely Puncak Bintang, Kampoeng Bamboe, as well as cafes and coffee shops along the Cimenyan Village’s main road, hundreds of villagers have lost their livelihoods. The weakening of trade and people's purchasing power also affected the MSMEs sector, especially in main MSME’s commodities, like peuyeum, chips, and coffee. Nowadays, post-pandemic economic recovery efforts have begun to be encouraged, especially in the tourism sector. Facing “The Real New Normal”, Cimenyan Village developstrategies to prepare themselves. Through the Student Real Work Lecture Program (KKNM) and the Community Service Program, offer a recovery strategy through a Digital Mapping of the Potential for Pandemic Safe Tourism (Pandemic-safe tourism) and MSMEs in Cimenyan Village. The output of this activity is a Digital Map of Pandemic-safe Tourism which can be a socialization of healthy, safe, and comfortable tourism alternatives, as well as the leading MSMEs information media in Cimenyan Village that can support existing tourism activities. Menghadapi“The Real New Normal”, Desa Cimenyan sebagai turut menyusun strategi untuk mempersiapkan diri.
