This study aimed to identify the reality of decision-making practice in public schools for boys in the Directorate of Education Amman Brigade. To achieve the goal of the study the researchers used the descriptive survey method, and the questionnaire was applied to a study sample consisted of (62) principals of public schools for boys for the academic year 2018/2019. The study results showed that, the degree of school principals practicing decision-making in public schools came with a moderate degree. The most frequently practiced phrases were: I care about decisions that make the school a better environment for the educational process, the decisions I make are subject to the school external environment conditions, and I specify the goals of the decision before issuing it. Where the highest obstacles facing principals in decision-making in public schools are the large burdens placed on the principal, the lack of participation in decision-making, the scarcity of training courses for school decision-making processes, and the lack of powers granted to the principal in decision-making. The study recommended that teachers must participate with the principal in the school decision-making process. When selecting school principal, it is preferable to be a holder of a master's or a doctorate in the field of educational administration, to hold special programs for preparing school principals according to the requirements of school accreditation

The universities in the United States that offer a Doctorate in Educational Administration were surveyed to collect information on courses that they offer which include decision sciences—techniques which aid the decision-making process of administrators and which are usually mathematically or technologically based. With a 71 per cent response rate to a mail questionnaire, it was found that forty-five of the responding seventy-six universities (59 per cent) offered such a course to their administration majors. Data were collected from the instructors concerning frequency offered, average enrollment, year originated, and percentage of administration doctoral majors enrolled. A tally of the major topic areas was also recorded.

This study aimed at investigating the degree of using social media in the educational process by the teachers of the upper-primary stage in Jordan from teacher’s perspective. The survey method used in this study is the descriptive method. The data were collected using a questionnaire and was developed to achieve the objectives of the study. The population of the study includes 37703 teachers of the upper primary stage in governmental and private schools, supervised by the Ministry of Education in Jordan for the academic year (2016/2017). The study sample consisted of 2133 teachers (766 male teachers and 1367 female teachers) who were randomly selected according to the stratified random sampling. The first question was answered by calculating the mean and the standard deviations of the sample individual’s responses based on the items of the questionnaire related to the degree of using social media in the educational process in the upper primary stage in Jordan. In answering question one, the mean and the standard deviations of the responses of the sample individuals were calculated on the questionnaire based on the degree of using social media in the educational process in the upper primary stage in Jordan in general, and also for each dimension of the study questionnaire. Results of question one showed that the degree of using social media means by the teachers of upper primary stage in Jordan was low. In answering question two, the significant statistical differences (α = 0.05) based on the degree of using social media in the educational process by the teachers of the upper primary stage in Jordan due to their gender, school type, and academic qualification were examined through calculated means, standard deviations, the independent samples t-test, and one way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Results of question two showed that there are statistically significant differences at α = 0.05 on the scores of the respondents in the study sample. This, however, can be seen in terms of the dimensions of the degree of using social media by teachers of upper primary stage in educational process in Jordan, for the whole tool, due to gender in favor of males. The differences were in the dimension of knowledge, skills, and value for males. In terms of the social dimension, the differences were in favor of females. There are no statistically significant differences at α = 0.05 on the degrees of the respondents to the study sample on the dimensions of the use of social media by teachers of upper primary stage in educational process in Jordan, and based on the degree of overall tool, according to school type variable (governmental, private). In the light of the study results, a number of recommendations were proposed, including enhancing the methods of the use of social media means in the educational process, and overcoming the obstacles that hinder the use of social media in the learning and teaching process.

In today's intense global competition, problems still exist under the umbrella of Just-in-Time application in the field of order management. The management of a firm usually faces difficulty in allocating stock to fulfil customer order, especially in the case of receiving a sudden change request from customers. In order to ease order allocation issues aroused by JIT, an intelligent system, namely, Intelligent Sales Order Handling System (ISOAS), is developed through the integration of fuzzy-AHP approach for decision making process in order allocation. This approach enables the selection of desired sales orders based on multiple criteria which may be quantitative or qualitative in nature, according to the judgment of scholars and domain experts. With ISOAS, customer orders are prioritized with respect to the values according to their performance under each decision making attributes. The degree of confidence of the decision judgements are quantified through the spread of fuzzy numbers with fuzzy pairwise comparison calculations. The approach can transform the fuzziness of human preference into the measurable number, enabling the operation of the AI-based system to assist humans in decision-making. An order allocation case study in a logistics department is demonstrated in this study. Results indicate an improved efficiency during the decision making process.

A decision-making process in an organization is more effective if it is supported by reliable and valid information systems. Management Information System (MIS) and Decision Support System (DSS) are two systems commonly used by organizational leaders to collect information for making the Quality of Decision (QD). This study aimed to empirically investigate MIS influences on vocational high school principals’ QD. Besides, this study examined the moderation effect of the DSS on the decision-making processes. This quantitative research employed the survey method and purposive sampling technique. As many as 60 vocational high school principals and vice-principals in Yogyakarta, Indonesia were the participants of this study. They filled in questionnaires consisting of 19 items that were developed using the Likert scale. The quantitative data obtained were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. The research findings show that MIS has a significant effect on the quality of the decision-making process by vocational high school principals. However, for improving the decision quality, the model must be assisted by DSS as the moderator variable. MIS carries information required for principals while DSS provides data, model, and analysis instruments used for special cases in vocational high schools.

Today, there is no consensus about proper timing and conditions for integration of PowerPoint presentations into the educational process. But the model-based evaluation can make a decision-making process easier when it comes to using presentations. The purpose of this study is to build a formal model to evaluate presentations. In order to build a formal model, the authors suggest employing hierarchical structure consisting of aggregation operators, such as the weighted averaging operator, minimum operator, and fuzzy Choquet integral. The proposed formal model shows experts' knowledge of the interdependencies between the criteria. The experiment described in the paper demonstrates the effectiveness of such a model as it allows to formalize expert preferences gradually, which may include interdependencies between the quality criteria of a presentation. Thus, this model will allow to store, analyze, and compare presentations properties that are necessary for their successful application.
