Therefore, the vision of discussing the aesthetics of the popular Banjar song is appropriate to expose, extract, and uplift its ontological, epistemological and axiological values. This study is a qualitative-descriptive type of research with aesthetic study approach (wetland environmental aesthetics), with the object of popular Banjar songs. The results of this study found that the aesthetic concept of the popular Banjar song refers to the following three philosophical aspects. First, the metaphysical value or substance of the popular Banjar song which lies in its two ontological realities, namely musical expressions and song lyrics in the Banjar language as a representation of Banjar culture. Second, the value of knowledge and art truth (aesthetic epistemology) of the popular Banjar song tends to be in the framework of the philosophy of empiricism, namely the knowledge and truth of art that prioritizes the existential experience of the subject. Third, the social value of the popular Banjar song that stands out is the discourse on work ethic which is based on the value of religiosity, while the prominent political value (social institution) is family education. Sport plays today an eminent role in man's life and in societies. Various sciences have made it the subject-matter of their reflection, i.e. psychology, sociology, the natural and humanistic sciences, art, philosophy, and theology. The present work seeks to answer some fundamental questions connected with the phenomenon of sport: what is it for man (part one)? whether and when does it serve the social integration of a community (part two)? what are the premises and principles of the ethics of sportive activity (part three)? what is the aesthetic dimension of sport (part four)? what are the relations between sport and religious faith (part five)? The philosophical profile is dominant in the book, taking into consideration various aspects of sport: anthropological, social, axiological, and theological.

This study was qualitative case study approach, while the instruments were the researchers themselves. This study showed that the accountability in providing public administration to the poor people had not run optimally. There were various approaches and alleviation programs for poverty that had not been able to change significantly. There was no continuous program during the official turnover. If the official was changed, then the policy would be changed, thus the programs were ineffective to minimize the poverty in Makassar. The policies and the supports were necessary from all the elements of construction and the involvement of entrepreneurs like stakeholders and community leaders. The government is necessary to take a role in uniting and bridging these issues. In addition, the strategic planning was necessary to involve society, not only as objects of development but also to be involved as the subject of development to alleviate the poverty in Makassar.

This paper examines Social Network Site (SNS) users’ criticism of a popular style of SNS profile picture referred to as “MySpace Angles.” Reactions to this style of portraiture label the display of these photographs “deceptive,” alleging that MySpace Angles fool users into believing that the subject is more attractive than they actually are. This case study approach utilizes a close reading analysis of the MySpace Angle commentary, revealing three main themes in users’ critique of MySpace Angles: 1) users who post these photographs are conforming to a social trend at the expense of their individuality; 2) the presentation of these photographs is narcissistic; and, 3) these photographs purposefully conceal the body. This case study displays a shift in the conception of deception online; on the social Web populated by SNSs, theories of deception and authenticity are called into question as users are increasingly anchored to their bodies and expected to effortlessly present an online self mirroring the off-line self.

On the basis of the analysis of process of becoming (institutionalization) of social institute as a phenomenon the classical concept of five basic social institutes (family, education, religion, economic and political institutes) is broadened. The society in the course of its historical development forms new spectrum of needs hence the necessity in both reconsidering changes of functional tasks, limits, normative value and status role systems of social institutes in function and recognizing existence of new social institutes. At the modern stage, considering actual functional requirements of society, the social institute of medicine is a new social institute. The article considers process of transformation of medicine into independent social institute at the turn of XX-XXI centuries. At that it is noted that evolutionary process of institutionalization of medicine requires a new in-depth comprehension accounting actual social transforming processes in the health care system. Historically the imaginary and the hegemonic thinking, in the Western North globe has been marked by the epistemology and capitalists archetypes. Notwithstanding the design as a practice and discipline seem shielded on a simplistic discourse of functional / communicative efficiency, wandering through multiple aestheticism apparently neutral in relation to the symbolic but in fact they never are because what really happens is that the aesthetic appearance of the generated forms will always be a review of the powers ruling. We start from understanding that the act of creating an aesthetic artefact will also be a movement of  inscription in a discursive platform (that precedes it)  thus being itself an narrative act and representing a positioning in relation to certain symbolic reality. On the presented reflection Design is seen as a discipline and / or an instrument of action, whose operational relevance tends to question and simultaneously rehearsing a response to not just the question why but also for what? Apparently Design is a content mediator, but also, it is structure, body and idea. We think design praxis as discipline and enrolment tool for critical thought and social transformation. For guiding research in this text, we propose the following question: Can Design form an engagement with the symbolic for them in order to be an active part in the production of critical thinking in the place where it belongs? Methodologically our argument will be present in two different moments: 1. first, exploratory nature where we rescue the draw issues in the practice of design and 2. second, analytical nature concerning the subject issues (graphic and / or utility ) of design and how it incorporates formal rites, political events and social practices of contemporary everyday life. We consider the praxis of design as a discipline and critical thinking enrolment tool as agents of social transformation. With this study we seek to contribute to design’s phenomenology by studying the artefacts of configuration as well as the possible messages they convey and what impact they may have on the social network.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.4995/IFDP.2016.3263
