The article examines the main features of various forms and methods of organizing the independent work of university students. The opinion is substantiated that independent work, aimed at mastering the acquired knowledge and skills, allows students to fully understand the nature of the work performed and organize their own activities. In the context of the implementation of distance learning in higher education, the goals and functions of independent work of students have been revised, the role of which in the educational process is significantly increasing. In the course of the study to identify the importance of independent work of university students, results were obtained that allow one to draw some conclusions, for example, active independent work is possible only if there are motivating factors: student involvement in research activities, intensive pedagogy, individualization of tasks and the personality of the teacher.

The article substantiates the organization of the educational process of physical education of students of higher education institutions in the conditions of quarantine restrictions. The need for urgent adaptation of the process of physical education to the new challenges that accompany the "quarantine" training, requires solving the problems of pedagogical, methodological and organizational content of the educational process of higher education. The purpose of the study is to identify the main aspects of the organization of the educational process of physical education of students by means of remote technologies. The research is based on the use of a set of general scientific theoretical methods: analysis, synthesis, systematization, generalization. The views of researchers on this issue, set out in the latest scientific literature. The didactic potential of distance learning technologies in the formation of information educational environment of physical education of students is determined. It is established that the transition from traditionally used to multidimensional distance learning expands the use of vector information technology, opens new prospects for the development of physical education of students in higher education. The factors of organization of the educational process in the conditions of distance learning are singled out and ranked. The influence of the latter is multi-vector, which necessitates timely detection and prompt response to them to avoid them if possible. Among the advantages of organizing the educational process of physical education of students by means of distance technologies: the possibility of using leading educational technologies; increasing the efficiency of the educational process by intensifying the process of cognition and interpersonal interactive communication; development of a conscious and motivated approach to classes; the possibility of diversifying the educational process; increasing the efficiency of students' independent work; realization of the educational function of physical culture; development of the need for self-education through the mobility of knowledge and ideas; expanding and updating the role of the teacher, who must coordinate the process of physical development and improvement of students. It is proved that the introduction of new pedagogical technologies of distance learning will change the paradigm of physical education and creates the conditions for the most effective implementation of the opportunities inherent in such forms of physical education.

Данная статья посвящена особенностям формирования иноязычной коммуникативной компетентности студентов вуза в условиях дистанционного обучения. Актуальность проводимого исследования заключается в попытке разрешения противоречия между необходимостью использования информационно-коммуникационных технологий, в том числе и дистанционного обучения, в образовательном процессе высших учебных заведений и недостаточностью условий для реализации их инновационного потенциала. В этой связи автором была уточнена сущность понятий «дистанционное образование», «дистанционное обучение», «дистанционные образовательные технологии», «онлайн-обучение», определена их роль в контексте новой образовательной парадигмы современности, проанализирован практический опыт применения онлайн-обучения в целях формирования иноязычной коммуникативной компетентности студентов вуза, а также даны рекомендации по использованию цифровых ресурсов на занятиях по практическому курсу французского языка. В ходе наблюдения за учебным процессом в дистанционном формате и беседы со студентами 4 курса Института лингвистики и мировых языков Калужского государственного университета им. К.Э. Циолковского, автор приходит к выводу, что при условии решения ряда проблем организационного и технического характера дистанционное обучение представляет большие перспективы в развитии высшего образования в России. Статья предназначена для работников системы образования, исследователей и педагогов-практиков. This article is devoted to the peculiarities of formation of foreign-language communicative competence of university students in the conditions of distance learning. The relevance of the research is an attempt to resolve the contradiction between the need to use information and communication technologies, including distance learning, in the educational process of higher education institutions and the lack of conditions for the realization of their innovative potential. In this regard, the author clarified the essence of the concepts of «distance education», «distance learning», «distance learning technologies», «online learning», defined their role in the context of the new educational paradigm, analyzed the practical experience of using online learning in order to form the foreign language communicative competence of university students and gave recommendations for the application of digital resources in the practical French course. During the observation of the learning process in a distance format and conversation with fourth-year students of the Institute of Linguistics and World Languages of K.E. Tsiolkovsky Kaluga State University, the author concludes that if a number of organizational and technical problems are solved, distance learning is very promising for the development of higher education in Russia. The article is intended for employees of the education system, researchers and teachers-practitioners.

The purpose of this article is to define the functions of the teacher as the organizer of chat communication, which has become one of the foundations of Internet communication. The leading method for the study of this problem is the method of situational modeling, which allows considering chat-communication as a process of new social interaction, requiring the leading role of the teacher-organizer, ensuring the maximum involvement of all participants-communicators in this process in order to assimilate new knowledge by the perceiver (learners). This article presents new methodological methods of teacher's work within the framework of chat-communication, defines the important functions of a teacher, who communicates knowledge in the changed socio-cultural environment. The presented methodological material is designed to help teachers of higher education to use chat-communication as a new channel of knowledge transfer from a teacher to a student to adapt to the new communicative realities, to give awareness of the continuity of the educational process, even in a situation of significant changes in conditions of its implementation.   Keywords: distance learning, higher education, internet communication, chatting, teacher functions

The article substantiates the expediency of intensifying the independent work of students in view of the active introduction of distance learning in the educational process of higher education. The relevance of the chosen topic based on the analysis of domestic scientific sources is proved. Questionnaires were selected to investigate the attitude of students to the introduction of distance learning technologies (concluded by the authors) and to identify features of independent learning activities of students in distance learning (two adapted questionnaires, by O. Tsis and V. Lyaudis). The survey was conducted with the participation of second, third and fourth year bachelor students of the Department of Pedagogy and Special Education of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University. According to the results of the ascertaining stage of the questionnaire, the significance of information and computer technologies in the educational process of the specified university is clarified and the most relevant for effective provision of distance learning is determined among them. The gradual growth of the rating of the online format of education is outlined: from the perception of almost half of respondents as a modern alternative to traditional education – to take an almost dominant position in the case of their independent learning activities, especially for high school students. Some students even reported improved performance through new opportunities for self-study, and most respondents did not feel the negative impact of changing the form of study and increasing the amount of independent work. At the same time, there were obstacles to the effectiveness of self-study in the form of lack of information skills in a third of respondents and the skills of organizing independent work in a quarter of respondents. According to the results of the survey, the lack of the proper level of self-regulation of educational activities, volitional and motivational characteristics of the individual in the vast majority of bachelors. The necessity of reorganization of the content, character, ways of independent work of students depending on the course of study for the purpose of formation of personal and professional competences of applicants of higher education in the field of special pedagogy is confirmed.

The article examines the problems of the modern system of higher education in the formation of a young specialist with sufficient competencies. The role of students' independent work in the educational process is analyzed. It reveals what qualities are formed in students in the process of independent work. The possibilities and effectiveness of independent work in consolidating the acquired knowledge, mastering new educational material, searching and selecting information on the topic under study are analyzed. The results of the annual monitoring made it possible to assess the role of independent work in the formation of a professional personality.

The article considers and theoretically substantiates the necessity and feasibility of the implementation  of  tutor support during the organization of independent work of foreign students in the higher technical educational institution. The basic ways of construction and improvement of elements of independent studying of educational material in the context of self-improvement of professional skills of a personality are determined. The main factors influencing the successful performance of independent work by foreign students in technical universities are analyzed. The specific pedagogical means of organization and management of independent activity of foreign students in higher technical educational institutions are studied. The interpretation of the concept of “tutor” in the domestic and foreign pedagogical practice is considered. The content of the tasks of the tutor-teacher, who works directly with foreign students, is analyzed in detail. It is proved that a tutor at a higher technical educational institution creates an educational sphere that allows a foreign student not only to acquire knowledge and skills, but also to solve real problems in his educational activity, to create a comfortable and convenient mode of work for him, especially during the initial stages of adaptation. The author emphasizes that this new method of successful cooperation between the teacher-tutor and foreign citizens who are students of Ukrainian universities is quite optimal and effective in terms of reforming the educational process in higher education, although it requires improvement and some adaptation to the system of higher education in Ukraine.

The article discusses the issue of the effectiveness of teaching financial literacy, in the aspect of the knowledge received by students of higher education following the results of the implementation of lessons in a distance format in the mode of self-isolation and pandemic. The authors have identified key indicators that make it possible to form an objective assessment reflecting the level of knowledge and skills acquired based on the results of studying the discipline, as well as draw conclusions about the possibility of implementing financial literacy training in distant mode without reducing the final indicators of learning.

The article reflects the results of the implementation of a theoretical and experimental approach to understanding the role of additional education in the professional development of university students. Considering additional education as an element of the continuing education system, we believe that it is the activation of the development of additional education programs for university students, as well as the creation of conditions for effective implementation in the educational process, that will allow us to realize the main task of further education, as defined in the Law of the Russian Federation “On Education”, - education of a creative person, ready for self-development and self-determination. At the same time, the study we organized showed that only a little more than 50% of the students who took part in our study are positively oriented towards receiving additional education. In order to stimulate students' interest in obtaining additional education, including, within the framework of optimizing their professional development, we propose to focus on “immersing” students in research activities.

Annotation. The purpose of the work is to substantiate the feasibility of implementing innovative technologies, forms, and methods of teaching in the educational process of higher education institutions, as the main factor in the formation of professional skills of future professionals in terms of combined distance learning. The following methods have been using at work: biblio-semantic, historical, and content analysis. The issues of implementation of innovative teaching methods in higher education students in the conditions of distance learning are covered, namely: the creation of "intelligence map" on a given topic and independent work of students in "small group," the efficiency of application of "case technologies" in practical classes and conducting seminars in the format of a problem lecture. The importance of innovative training in the process of forming professional skills of future specialists in the conditions of combined classroom and distance education has been emphasizing.

The article examines the features of the transformation of the role of a teacher in higher education in connection with the digitalization of education in the period before the pandemic, and during the transition of the university to a forced remote mode under the conditions of the pandemic. The assessment of the effectiveness of distance learning from the point of view of students and teachers is given. The purpose of the article is to determine expectations, the degree and nature of the influence of the teacher's personality on the effectiveness of educational process in general and distance learning in particular. Researching the effectiveness of higher education in the digital age and assessing the impact on teacher effectiveness involves the use of a number of scientific principles and research methods, theoretical and empirical. To achieve the goal, the scientific works of leading foreign and Russian scientists on the problems of digitalization of education, dehumanization of education, transformation of the role of the teacher have been analyzed, and our own research has been carried out on the basis of the Moscow Polytechnic University in the form of a survey. An assessment of the emotional consequences of isolation is given. The analysis of the effectiveness of distance learning, from the point of view of higher education teachers and students has been carried out. The expectations of students and the change in the role of a teacher of higher education as a result of expansion of functional responsibilities under the circumstances of distance learning are described. Long before the coronavirus pandemic, digitalization had been a trend in the education system. A year of distance learning has revolutionized higher education. The role of a teacher in higher education has been transformed with a significant expansion of functions and a rapid increase in the level of competencies.
