scholarly journals An Assessment of Personality-Type of Managers in Nepalese Hotel Industries

Hospitality industry is one of the most profitable industries with a high potential for increase, thus being a hospitality manager is one of the most trendy and prestigious jobs of today. It is also a challenging job since, being an effective one is quite complex due to recorded industrial higher heart burn effects, rapid industrial changes in demand, constant trends and severe industrial competition. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the performance variance of the top managers of the five-star hotels of Nepal in respect with their gender. The primary data were received from employees on different level, line-managers of five star hotels. Descriptive and explanatory research designs were used. Composite means and correlation coefficients models were used to analyze and interpret the data. Analysis showed that the female managers generally tend to adopt democratic or participative style while governing people, whereas, male managers induce an autocratic or directive style in their daily performance. Based on the regression analysis, it was determined that the extraversion dimension had a more significant effect than the openness dimension. The extraversion dimension had a negative effect on extrinsic job satisfaction, while the openness dimension had a positive effect. The extraversion and openness dimensions had a weak but statistically significant effect on general job satisfaction. The extraversion dimension had a negative effect on general job satisfaction, while the openness dimension had a positive effect. This study aims to analyze and examine the effect of workload, teamwork and leadership on job satisfaction and employee performance at Bappeda Payakumbuh. This type of research is quantitative research. The sample in this is all employees of the Bappeda Payakumbuh Municipality. The sampling method used the census method, where all members of the population were used as research samples. This study used primary data obtained through questionnaires that were submitted directly to all employees of the Payakumbuh Municipality Planning Agency as many as 38 questionnaires and all respondents returned the questionnaires. The data was processed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis using the SmartPLS application. The results showed that workload had a significant negative effect on job satisfaction and a positive but not significant effect on employee performance. Then other results show that teamwork has a positive but not significant effect on job satisfaction, but has a significant positive effect on employee performance. Leadership has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, but has a negative and not significant effect on employee performance. While job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on the performance of Bappeda Payakumbuh employees. Keywords: workload, teamwork and leadership on job satisfaction and employee performance Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menguji pengaruh beban kerja, teamwork dan kepemimpinan terhadap kepuasan kerja dan kinerja pegawai di Bappeda Kota Payakumbuh. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode sensus, dimana seluruh anggota populasi dijadikan sampel penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yang diperoleh melalui kuesioner yang disampaikan secara langsung kepada seluruh pegawai Bappeda Kota Payakumbuh sebanyak 38 kuesioner dan seluruh responden mengembalikan kuesioner tersebut. Data diolah dengan menggunakan analisis Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan menggunakan aplikasi SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beban kerja berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja dan berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Kemudian hasil lain menunjukkan teamwork berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja, namun berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Untuk kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja, namun berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Sedangkan  kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai Bappeda Kota PayakumbuhKata kunci : Beban kerja, teamwork dan kepemimpinan terhadap kepuasan kerja dan kinerja pegawai

The aims of this study was to explain the effect of employee engagement and work stress on job satisfaction and turnover intention at Aman Villas Nusa Dua-Bali. The type of data used in this study is qualitative and quantitative data, with data sources namely primary and secondary data. Data collection method is interview, distributing questionnaires to respondents and library research, while the data analysis technique used Smart PLS 3.2.8. The results of this study showed that employee engagement had a positive effect and significant on job satisfaction, work stress had a negative effect but not significant on job satisfaction, employee engagement had a negative effect and significant on turnover intention, work stress had a positive effect and significant on turnover intention, job satisfaction had a negative effect but not significant on turnover intention, employee engagement had a positive effect but not significant on turnover intention trough job satisfaction, work stress had a positive effect but not significant on turnover intention trough job satisfaction at Aman Villas Nusa Dua-Bali.

Jakarta is the place where the largest number of land transportation in Indonesia, according to Djarot in Kompas.com article, vehicles every day increased about 1500 units. And according to an article from Liputan 6, revenue from conventional taxi drivers dropped dramatically after the entry of online transport by 40-50% during 2016 due to the entry of online transport. Conventional taxi companies must immediately anticipate this phenomenon so that their human resources can survive in the company. The purpose of this research are first, to know is there a positive effect from professionalism factors to organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Second, to know job satisfaction factors have a positive effect to organizational commitment. And the last is to know is there a positive effect from rewards factors to job satisfaction and organizational commitment’s factors. This research uses descriptive method with non-probability method. Through judgmental sampling technique, primary data collection was obtained from questionnaire distribution to conventional taxi driver of Soekarno-Hatta Airport. The data has been collected and then obtained by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The result of this research indicates that there is positive influence from professionalism to organizational commitment but the data do not support the hypothesis, there is positive influence from professionalism to job satisfaction, but there’s negative effect between job satisfaction and organizational commitment, there is positive relation of rewards to job satisfaction, Finally there is a positive effect of rewards on organizational commitment. Electronic monitoring is more and more widespread and affects many employees around the globe. The current meta analysis collected data of 59 independent samples (with 223 effect sizes) to estimate the effect of electronic monitoring on job satisfaction, stress, and performance. A random-effects model indicated a small negative effect of monitoring on job satisfaction, r=-.09, and a small positive effect on stress, r=.12. There was no relationship with performance, r=-.01. Even if the effects of monitoring on job satisfaction and stress are small, taking the large number of employees who are monitored for several hours a day into account, these effects may have a severe and negative impact on employees’ well-being. Performance maintenance is the main justification for the use of electronic monitoring, but the non-existing relationship of monitoring with performance questions the validity of this justification.

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh persepsi kegunaan, kemudahan dan kerumitan Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) terhadap data pemicu di approweb, pada Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Pratama Makassar Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer melalui survei kepada 36 orang responden dari account representative di Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Pratama Makassar Barat. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner data dianalisis dengan menggunakan aplikasi SPSS. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kebermanfaatan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan sedangkan kemudahan berpengaruh positif tidak signifikan dan kerumitan berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap data pemicu di aplikasi approweb. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan teori TAM dari persepsi kebermanfaatan data pemicu di aplikasi approweb bermanfaat bagi account representative. The study aims to analyze the effect of perceived usefulness, ease and complexity of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) on trigger data in the Approweb, at the West Makassar Pratama Tax Office. This study uses primary data through a survey of 36 respondents from account representatives at the West Makassar Pratama Tax Office. Data collection techniques through data questionnaires were analyzed using the SPSS application. Hypothesis testing uses multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that usefulness has a positive and significant effect while ease of positive effect is not significant and complexity has a significant negative effect on trigger data in approweb applications. The results of this study prove the TAM theory from the perceived usefulness of trigger data in the approweb application is beneficial for account representatives.

<p>The problem of this research was Turnover intention is a factor of discomfort experienced agent in a company. Turnover intention needs to get serious attention to the organization especially to leadership or manager so can applying force leadership proper and improve job satisfaction to reduce job stress in the company.<br />The purpose of this research was the effect of leadership style and job satisfaction toward Turnover intention throught job stress at customer service (frontline) PT Tiki Jalur Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE), Tomang Jakarta.<br />The methodology of this research was testing hypothesis. The data used were primary data collected from questionaire. The samples consisted of 164customer service (frontline)PT Tiki Jalur Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE), which were determined through purposive sampling method. The data were analyzed through Structural Equation Model (SEM) of AMOS version 23.0for Windows.<br />The results of the study showed that there have been negative effect and significant between leadership style and job satisfaction toward Turnover intention throught job stress. The role of job stress very dominant as a mediator the influence of leadership style and job satisfaction toward Turnover intention.<br />Implication of this research is expected to managers can increase the determinants job stress itself for example by raising job satisfaction (salary, reward, job promotion) and applying force leadership proper and able to adjust with all the work situation.</p>

The perpetrators of MSMEs generally do not use the standards applicable in the preparation of financial statements. MSME financial statements often use cash basis taken from daily cash mutation sources. The Indonesian Institute of Accountants seeks to contribute to overcome the constraints of MSMEs in the preparation of financial statements by issuing the Financial Accounting Standards of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (SAK EMKM) and effective from 1 January 2018. SAK EMKM is simple to be implemented easily by MSMEs. The Financial Statements according to SAK EMKM are prepared on the accrual basis. The research took 50. MSMEs in Surabaya using convenience sampling method. The data used are primary data obtained through questionnaires. This study aims to finding out the hypothesis that the perception of MSMEs in Surabaya against the application of EMKM IFRS had an effect on the application of EMKM IFRSs, testing the education level hypothesis of MSMEs in Surabaya had an effect on the application of EMKM IFRSs, and tested the hypothesis of SAK EMKM dissemination in Surabaya. application of SAK EMKM. The results showed that partially the perception of MSMEs entrepreneurs has a positive effect on implementation SAK EMKM while the level of education and sozialization has a negative effect.

<span class="fontstyle0">This research aimed to examine the influence of compliance on accounting rules, unethical behavior, compliance compensation, and organizational commitment on tendency of accounting fraud. Populations of this research are BUMN company in Jakarta city. The samples in this research are 85 official servants. The technical sampling of this research uses random sampling. Data of this research obtained from directors and accounting staff. Type of data used are primary data. Data collection method used is survey, using questionnaire. Analysis used multiple linear regression. The results indicated that there is the negative effect among compliance to accounting rules and compliance compensation on towards tendency of accounting fraud, there is the positive effect among unethical behavior towards tendency of accounting fraud, and there is no effect among organizational commitment towards tendency of accounting fraud in BUMN</span>

The purpose of the research to be achieved is to analyze the effect of family work conflict on job satisfaction, the effect of family work conflict on the desire to leave, the effect of job satisfaction on the desire to leave, and the influence of family work conflict on the desire to leave through mediating job satisfaction. Analysis using path analysis states that family work conflict has a negative effect on job satisfaction, family work conflict has a positive effect on the desire to leave, job satisfaction negatively influences the desire to leave, and job satisfaction mediates family work conflicts against the desire to leave. Suggestions that can be given are the management of the personnel department of The Jayakarta Hotel Bali should always pay attention to the factors that cause work conflicts of the employee's family in the workplace so as not to cause difficulties in fulfilling roles in the family and difficulties in fulfilling roles in the work. The purpose of this study was conducted to determine (1) the development of tourists to the Taman Rimba zoo in Jambi Province (2) to analyze the factors that influence tourist attraction, facilities, accessibility, and service quality on the interest in visiting tourists' return visits. Methods of data collection through observation and distribution of questionnaires to respondents. The data source used is primary data obtained directly from the distribution of questionnaires as many as 157 with 5 question items each. The software used in this research examiner is Statistical Package for The Social Sciences (SPSS). The results of the analysis of this study indicate that simultaneously or together the attractiveness and facilities have a significant or positive effect on the interest in visiting tourists' return visits. Meanwhile, accessibility and service quality has a negative effect on the interest in returning tourists. Partially the average attractiveness, facilities, accessibility, and service quality have a positive or significant effect on the interest in revisiting tourists.
